I have recently met two sides of the management at Asda s Harlow. The very smarmy assistant manager Mr R when you are making an enquiry, and the very belligerent Mr R when you have a complaint.
Just a little to problem to most people, but this also applies to anyone else expecting Asda to act on feedback from their customers. I love kippers for breakfast at least one a week, kippers which have been noticeably absent for the last five weeks at the time I shop at Asda.
Last week I see Mr R, Assistant Manager, who very smarmily assured me my breakfast of my dreams, namely kippers would be there the next week I came, namely today. Were they there, were they f***. Hope was at hand however, for right before me was, our Mr R. I complained to the smarmy one only to find out he had now become the belligerent one. Mr R doesn t take complaints very well I m afraid and laid it firmly at my door it was my fault for shopping at 07.45 in the morning because the delivery doesn t come until 10.00 a.m.
What dear Mr R failed to grasp as is these kippers have a sell by date of at least a week, the delivery that Asda has should last more than a few hours. The real argument is Asda are not ordering enough for the needs of their customers. Jeckle and Hyde Mr R should if he wants to stay assistant manager, because the title of manager would be beyond him, get his finger out and make sure that when the customers come through the door, their needs are met!
My experience of Meeting Mr Neil Roots assistant manager at Asda Harlow and also posted on Spotted in Harlow.
