Marty the technician was fine. Just so there is no confusion, MARTY WAS FINE. The store however was not. Apple's approach to customer service is ineffective. I walk into the store looking for a service desk or anything that resembled such and found nothing. It felt like I walked into a cocktail party. People walking around aimlessly looking at their phones. I am not familiar with how Apple staff is dressed so I didn't know who to go to and NO one approached me. If it wasn't for my wife I may have turned around and walked out. I was holding an Imac. What else was I there for but help. So after the staff member was not able to find my reservation, I had to show the email on my phone. Just like going to the Doctor, after about a 40 minute wait, Marty (who was just fine) came over to help. He was just fine by the way. In my line of work, customer service is crucial. Seeing someone standing around looking like he needs help, which I did, I should have been given some. I should not have had to go looking for it. At the very least, put up a sign explaining what to do next when one walks in. Maybe small one, as not to bring the cool vibe or hip-ness down Apple the computer store is trying to create in their computer stores. Marty was just fine.

I had an appointment for 7 and I was waiting for over an hour. They kept telling me that I would be helped next then they kept helping other people. I also couldnt even finish a sentence. I was trying to tell them what happened to my phone and they said that the repair price would be 109$ then because they didnt listen to me or let me finish my sentence, it turned out that I had to pay for a replacement phone.

Total disgrace brought 5 phones i phone 7 plus one had issues from day 1 with getting service outside of my home and it not charging properly . but being it was my daughter's phone mind you she is 12 she really didn't want to bring it because she was afraid of not having it. So i called At time of problem which of course they have not record of. So i went today and they refused to help me .As my daughter was historically crying they said they can sell me a new phone. They should be ashamed of themselves i always thought they stood behind there products boy was i wrong!!!! Its all about the money not costumer loyalty. I was sick how i and my 12 year old was treated by both the workers including the supervisor shame on you!!!!!

After arriving 2 hours early and waiting in line, the proceed to tell you they are only taking appointment. They walked up and down the line over and over asking if you have an appointment never once mentioned if you don t have an apt you can t get in make you wait until the front of the line. I will go get a google phone.

I went to the store and they set an appointment for me. So I had to stay in the store and walk around the mall for one hour and a half. then they sent me a text message that some one is ready to help me, I ran to get there, when I got there I received another text saying that they have canceled my appointment, I talked to one of the staff and he said he will fix the problem with the appointment schedules, but it took me another hour to see an assistance. So I had to wait for around 2 hours in total to see a technical guy. It is not my only experience, I had the same problem in my last visit as well. Their appointment schedules never works.....

Yes, the store is always crowded. Yes, the wait times are long. Yes, it s almost impossible to get an appointment on short notice.
Why?
Because it s a great store with quality employees who want to get the job done right and make sure their customers are happy!
I ve never had an issue here! And I m very happy with this store.
Yes, your appointment was supposed to be at 3, and maybe it s an hour late, but maybe the customer before you took longer than expected to remember their passwords, or their MacBook issue is super complicated and takes a lot of Q&A. It s okay, it happens.
So please don t assume just because the Apple employees aren t jumping to help you as soon as you get there that they re rude and ignoring you. They re helping the other 40+ people in the room with their own issues. You ll get your turn, all it takes is some patience and understanding.

This is a really nice Apple Store. Very helpful and friendly staff. Always busy in my experience but there are better hours to come here, depend what you need. But they do their best and trying to minimize waiting time.

Overall this store has been really very helpful for the most part in the past but my first experience since the awful remodel was bad. I came as a walkin and was told to come back 3 hours later. It wasn t clear where to wait or who to speak to so I had to interrupt someone to ask. I told the appointment maker my issue which was a phone battery as well as figuring out if I had successfully transferred data- mainly photos from an old ipad so it could be wiped and used by-someone else. I have been trying to do this for ages and I still cant figure out if I have done it which is a big flaw in the apple situation with transfer of photos, icloud and so on.

When I arrived 1/2 hr early and asked if I could go a bit early it was a no go and a regular appointment would be a week! He also admitted it was going to be longer. He then happily told me apple could not put my data from the devices I transferred things to on their computers. So why not tell me that so I could have brought my macbook pro for that?

This was a complete waste of my time when I am ill, and I m trying to get this done in time for a family member who will be going to hospital. I told him so basically I am wasting my time here and told him to cancel appointment. He didn t care at all about my issue etc. Many of the people here are rude now and don t seem to have a clue. They used to have good people here. When I got home an hour later or more after another pressing errand, I got 2 texts telling me they were ready for me and then that they gave my place to someone else so he didn't cancel the appointment.

No other company would survive cs this awful. I guess because they know we will just keep buying their stuff they figure it is ok? It used to be much better though so this seems to be a general policy change maybe? I can t go to other stores now that people suggest are better.

Awesome service as usual and I was in and out for my appointment in a relatively short time of time. Store capacity as well handled and at no point did I feel like it was too full and I was too close to anyone else. Will definitely visit this Apple store again even though I m not local to the area.

Amazing staff! Friendly, welcoming, and supportive (Meeka & Omar). I can't begin to express my gratitude towards these two professionals that walked me through transferring my devices and tech difficulties. I love Apple products and loved the time and attention these professional support staff members provided along with Tom and Nelly at the set up station.

Please don t go to this Apple Store, the service here is atrocious. I honestly don t know what happened to Apple s customer service. I understand that the store gets busy, but if a person walks-in and doesn t see the line people are supposed to be waiting on then wouldn t it make sense to say There s the line, go wait over there.

NOPE. These Geniuses mumble something then walk away to talk and gossip with the other reps standing there without even saying anything else. Can t even make an excuse that they are busy with customers. I should ve gotten names but then I would have just sent an email to their corporate office...

I did not pay over $1,500 for a phone to get crappy customer service like this. And I went over there with the intention of spending more money! AVOID if possible, you ll get better service with your telecom provider.

Well, it's your boy at it again with another store review this we @ apple in Smith haven Mall. Well, this apple spot is a tiny store and super slow waited one hour and a half for them to say we can look at your ear pods because you have to clean them first.

Very pleased with my outcome but the wait time was awful! From 3pm-10pm I had to wait to get my phone service but once I was in they were attentive and quick to resolve my issue and I walked out in about 20min or so with a brand new phone free. Which I originally suspected would happen but it s always a better experience when things go smoothly as they did on this Apple trip. Only advice I would give is if at all possible stay away during seasonal and weekends it s super busy! Also, you can easily book an appointment, only reason I choose the walk in option is because online the reservations were taken until next Saturday and it was imperative to get my phone fixed.

I went in with a failed macbook pro that was under warranty and the genius service tech quickly assessed the issue and a tech genius notified me that i could possibly loose my hard drive information which was discomforting considering Under the current condition of the laptop backing up the data would be almost impossible. A note was made to the repair service order and thankfully i did not loose my data . 6 Business Days later i received my laptop at my residence in perfect working order. It would have been 4 business days but thanks to a recent storm it delayed logistics for fedex causing an extra two day delay. Im happy and i hope my logic board wont fail again

They do not want to help you check in properly with multiple devices. So after you wait 30-45 minutes, you then learn you have to make another appointment for more than one d vice, after you told them all the issues. The genius at the genius bar appeared to have never worked with an Apple device. He told me my device was broken after looking at it. I asked for his tool and fixed the problem myself! Ugh!

I took in my dead iPad with very low expectations. The Geek Squad, much closer to my home, had been unable to diagnose the problem so I drove the extra hour to the Apple Store at Smith Haven and was lucky to find it not very croweded on a Wednesday afternoon. Thomas at the Genius Bar was able to quickly identify the problem as extremely rare and following a consultation with his manager replaced the iPod, helped me set it up, then gently recommended that in the future I make an appointment. While waiting for the iPod to recover my pervious backup I wandered the store amazed at all the wifi accessories that now exist and all of my questions were graciously answered. I'm sure it helped my experience that the store was only semi-croweded but I left with a renewed loyalty to Apple products and culture.

After sales service is terrible. When you are fortunate enough to get to speak to an associate they are very knowledgeable but the only way to talk to someone is to go into the store. They never answer their phones. I live close to an hour each way from my nearest store. I spent 5 hours yesterday waiting to be seen with a repair. When I got talking to the person it took all of 15 minutes and they confirmed I had an issue (as if I didn't know that already) with the product. They called and emailed me back this morning with "important news about my repair and I needed to contact them ASAP". I have tried for the last 2 hours to contact them at the number provided and it keeps ringing until it boots you out after 4 minutes of waiting. Horrible after sales service. I own several different Apple products but this is changing my forward looking thought process.

Having an issue with an iPad, went in and was instructed by the first employee to wait in the long tech support line. When I make it to the front of the line, another employee asks me to schedule an appointment 2 hours from now. When I ask about a drop off service, he tells me I can drop it off in 2 hours. Then he brings the attitude when I don't want to give him my email. I haven't even seen the "genius" yet, but if he's anything like the rest of the overpaid employees in there, I highly doubt the experience will be positive.

Every time they kept me waiting and talked some nonsense and still did nothing. Six times and I m still in need of a battery replacement. Absolute idiots. I don t know what Apple thinks by keeping these people employed.

I just had the rudest customer service experience of my life over the phone with an employee at this store. I have reported the female sales rep I spoke to to corporate and I hope they will act accordingly. She was so rude I was almost in tears. I was simply trying to get to the bottom of multiple phishing calls from their number and was met with a brusque, condescending and shockingly rude response to every question. Look elsewhere!

We went to the store and we told them that we were looking to buy a MacBook Pro for my daughter. In the front of the store we were told to wait 5-10 minutes by a nasty employee. By nasty I mean no smile no enthusiasm he did not greet us or show any interest at all. So that was that. Then we waited 20 minutes. After waiting that long nobody came to us we had to ask to be helped to who I think was the manager. When we asked they quickly got us the computer and gave us a different employee to do the sign in on the computer. Now this was a special buy for my daughter it is her 13th birthday. Not to mention we've always bought from that store( 3 MacBook pros, 3 apple watches and 1 iPad Pro and we all have iPhones) we have never complained or been angry. After we finished setting up the computer which by the way the employee did not treat as if this was important. He told us laughing in a sarcastic way that they did not have any bags left. This may not seem like a big deal but this is her first computer also it's raining outside like crazy and it's just a special day overall. She wanted the bag to remember her first MacBook. I used to get amazing customer service but my last 2 visits to the genius bar were atrocious.. I had to call the 1-800 number and make a formal complaint.. Only then was i given the amazing service im accustomed to from Apple.
I've owned iPhone's ranging from the 3G all the way to the 6, a macbook pro and the mobile me subscription and this was the FIRST time i've gotten horrible service.

Corporate should take a look at this store and monitor it for their attitudes

There is a line before the store even opens. If the line isn't "formed" ask the people to make one, or else there is a mad rush to get into the store and your placement in line is the difference between being seen first or coming back in 20 minute intervals.

I needed a new cellphone to replace my memory maxed Iphone 5 and decided on an unlocked 128gb Iphone 6s. Didn't want to wait for delivery so figured I'd go to my nearest apple store to get it in person. I tried calling first to make sure they had it in stock but nobody answers. Then checked on the apple site which told me this store had inventory of the phone... so I drove 1/2 hour from my house to get it.

It's not a particularly big apple store and had about 60-70 customers in it with about 15-20 red-shirted apple reps. I go up to one of them to see about buying the 6s only to be told I'd have to wait 45 minutes to an hour just to talk to someone. Looking around the store it seemed evident there were enough reps to handle what would have been no more than a 5 minute transaction of my handing them a credit card and them handing me a small box.

I know apple makes a decent product, I know they had cache and all that crap... but no way on gods green earth am I going to wait an hour for the apparent privilege of simply talking to one of their sales reps so that I can give them my $800 . The only store in the world I'd wait so long for is perhaps if I found myself in North Korea and needed bread. What kind of a salesperson rationally expects a customer to wait such a period of time? I've been to other apple stores with the same customer/rep ratio and the wait wasn't nearly as long- if, in fact, there was a wait at all. 45 minutes to an hour is simply ridiculous.

Am now the owner of a 128gb Google Pixel. Didn't get it yet, but if I'm going to have to wait I might as well use the time for something with the functionality I need (unlimited photo storage, cutting edge camera & a non-proprietary headphone jack).

Horrible customer service - 6 employees standing around chit chatting while customers wait for hours. Waited 2 hours on a Tuesday within 1/2 hour of store opening after being told to come back in 1 hour. Will never come back. !!

I drop by this store a few times when I am in the area. It's always fun to demo and play on their displays. It's definitely a toy store for an adult like myself. The store tends to get really busy, especially on the weekends, so sometimes you'll be waiting a while to get the help you need since the store is typically filled with window shoppers.
