I took in my dead iPad with very low expectations. The Geek Squad, much closer to my home, had been unable to diagnose the problem so I drove the extra hour to the Apple Store at Smith Haven and was lucky to find it not very croweded on a Wednesday afternoon. Thomas at the Genius Bar was able to quickly identify the problem as extremely rare and following a consultation with his manager replaced the iPod, helped me set it up, then gently recommended that in the future I make an appointment. While waiting for the iPod to recover my pervious backup I wandered the store amazed at all the wifi accessories that now exist and all of my questions were graciously answered. I'm sure it helped my experience that the store was only semi-croweded but I left with a renewed loyalty to Apple products and culture.
