Impossible to see a doctor and if you are lucky enough to grab an appointment its for 3 weeks time. Reception staff need to be replaced, bad attitude, uncaring and obstructive. To get anything from this place is like getting blood out of a stone. Need to find a new surgery quick!

I'm astonished that when I call in October to make an appointment for my annual flu jab when I'm over 65 AND have a relevant medical condition that reception refuses to make an appointment, telling me I have to wait until I receive their mailshot or call back after 18th October if I don't receive it. Bonkers!

Fantastic service with a little one. I have never been kept waiting long to get an appointment for my 2 year old son since birth - and had great check-ups throughout my pregnancy too. Often get an appointment within a matter of hours (or even minutes). The doctors have all been kind and accommodating, especially Dr Pagnamenta who has been exceptional at making me feel at ease.

I try and not have an appointment (you can barely get them anyway) and ask for a phone consultation but sometimes you don t get a call back and you have to chase.
Called Friday to request a repeat prescription as advised by the epu at frimley and receptionist said she would ask the dr and get someone to call me back. Now Tuesday and no call so I ll havs to call at 8am to try and book a phone consultation (probably won t have any available) to try and sort my repeat prescription.
It s ridiculous. We never used to have this issue with appointments before we merged and the receptionists used to be so helpful and kind.

Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs.

The patronising doctor refused to follow NICE guidelines (2014) and despite being told what the condition was, refused the immediate treatment that was requested and required.

The result of this appalling faux pas has left me with Lyme Disease for life.

I was told that you cannot contract Lyme in Ascot (not true) and only sent for a blood test when I absolutely insisted it was necessary. I presented with a clear erythema migrans (bull's eye) rash and summer flu symptoms. NICE guidelines at the time suggested 2 weeks of Doxycycline for these symptoms to be offered straight away, without waiting for the results of the test.

By the time the bloods were back (positive for lyme) 10 days had elapsed and the single week of Doxycycline offered was too little and too late.

This same doctor left my husband on a practically paralysing dose of antidepressants and my request for a review was totally ignored.

We have changed practices as I believe this woman has destroyed my life.

This surgery has, for some considerable time, been considered as being highly dysfunctional. If you have a blood test - they don t confirm that they have been reviewed them. When medication is due for review, they don t call you and offer you an appointment. If you request more than 1 month s subscription - they ignore your request. If you query anything with a receptionist - they often avoid giving an answer - everything needs a Doctor s say-so - and they are never available. E-mails are never answered - you have to phone and listen to the receptionist fumble. Finally, the partners are rarely on the premises - I ve never been seen, by one, and I ve never seen the senior partner, at the surgery - ever!

It can be a challenge to get an appointment, especially for specific procedures, but i think this is the case throughout the land. Tina the practice nurse is wonderful, even when I'm being grumpy, her positivity and helpfulness never waivers. The econsult system is very helpful for those of us who can't get to the surgery due to work commitments. Overall am pretty happy with ascot medical centre.
