The shittiest service and housing I have EVER received. I am warning you!!! The rooms look NOTHING like on the website; they are 4 times smaller and have barely any furniture. The service doesn't care about you. Like at all. I had the whole house complaining due to reparations of the ceiling every day for two weeks straight, and i had CEILING falling on my face. Nobody could sleep; it was a nightmare. If you see that housing website, RUN!!!!!
The apartment was really nice and the payment method was so easy. The staff was friendly and always there to help. I like the room because it was spacious with well maintained facilities. Highly recommended!
I stayed once during my business meeting in LA and it was Great. We did have some issues at first, but after talking to them, they immediately find solutions to address it, they were very responsive and nice. I am happy I stayed here.
I moved into Zuma Housing last 3 months and I definitely love the place! It was convenient and very cozy. The tenants were very friendly and had no problems with the apartment. It was always clean, it feels very safe and love the gym. Definitely recommend this place!
The agency has some really nice properties, which are located in a great area. Not only the properties are well furnished and clean, but the agents are very helpful and work quickly!

Student friendly facility and it was really convenient! I've used Zuma housing twice for staying in Los Angeles while studying at Santa Monica College. The rooms were huge and looks extremely decent. Avoid this business!!! Dirty mattresses never replaced, broken internet, broken dishwasher, broken microwave, broken air-conditioning, broken shower, and long wait when some things did get fixed. Some things in the apartment never got fixed.
Internet bill not getting paid on time; you have to remind the Zuma office to pay the bill or it won t get paid.

Zuma personnel screwed up on the contract paperwork and added parking into the total cost and later told me I wasn't paying parking; I then had to pay for parking again on top of the already overpriced rent cost.
Unilateral parking (you have to wait for your roommate to move his car so you can move your car parked directly behind his).
Zuma may ask you to leave your apartment earlier than the date agreed upon in the contract in order to move in the next tenant early.
Zuma may take out $150 of your security deposit when you leave to have the rental unit cleaned even if you clean the unit yourself.
Zuma Housing as made is so much easier for housing in Los Angeles. Prices are very fair and the apartment was AMAZING for the price. I would highly recommend them to all other students.

Wow! Zuma Housing is the major housing company in Westwood for international students like myself. All of my friends stay with them! I really take pleasure in Options like shared room with a fellow student who has the same interest and preferences like me.They also makes renting extremely convenient by allowing us to navigate and to pay our rent online. Overall, We feel very fortunate to have found Zuma Housing.
Worst experience ever! We paid A LOT of money, and they had the cheek to keep extra money from our deposit (we were told, not from them, that they would have done that, they're crackers!!). The service was really poor, the washing machine didn't work for a while, so we had to spend money on our own to go to a laundry, and when we asked for a refund they didn't asnwer. In addition, they persuade people to write good reviews on them by giving them amazon vouchers (two people that I know did it right here in the google reviews). I would never recommend Zuma Housing to anyone. They only care about stealing money from people!!

Great people with great service. They helped me when I needed the most. Had a problem with my previous roommate and needed to find something quick. Zuma Housing offered me the unit at Barrington Plaza. I booked a double room with a french girl on the 17th floor. We even have a ocean view. My roommate is awesome and I am thankfull to Zuma Housing.

Absolutely had an excellent stay here at Zuma! I had no issue with the facility specially with the plumbing, garbage disposal or any bug infestations. To be honest, I was really amazed with the cleanliness of the place. Also the management was hands on to every problem of the tenant if there is any, very friendly as well and they were professional. Definitely loves to recommend them to anyone looking for a place to stay.
I stayed in a Zuma apartment near UCLA for 4 months.
Overall, my experience with Zuma Housing was ok.
Apartments are spacious and well arranged. Moreover, apartments near UCLA are very practical since you can reach the university by foot.
Furthermore they have an efficient maintenance system: if you have any problem in the apt. they come to fix it in a short time.
Lastly, they were helpful when I had to change apartment because my flatmate left.
However there were some complications.
For example I found my apt. not cleaned when I moved in.
Also I was expecting to find a fully equipped apt. but I had to buy utensils for the kitchen, bedsheets, towels and other stuff.
Moreover I found the A/C broken, they should have fixed it before I moved in.
bunch of liars & thieves.. don't pay ur deposit bcuz they'll nvr return it back even If you leave the unit better than how you first got it you... A way way overpriced for the area and size of the unit.. any low motel could be better than them.. A really bad service model unfortunately
Overall a good experience, roommates have all been nice. Maintenance requests are handled within 24 hours. Tends to be a quiet atmosphere. If you have a smoking roommate they tend to not enforce it quickly. Got straight to there office if you have this problem and they will take care of it. They will do cleanings for new roommates which is nice.

When I found Zuma Housing , they had several options for me to look at. I have been living in their Kelton property for 6 months now. I ve rented an apartment with Zuma Housing for one year and I am overall satisfied. The locations of the apartments are very good and centrally located. They have a tenant online portal where you can pay the rent very easily and ask for maintenance requests. Every time I ve asked for maintenance, the staff was very quick in answering and fixing every issued I had.
I moved into Zuma Housing 6 months ago and I love it! They have changed their entire face. The new management has really stepped up to ensure that tenants are protected, healthy, gratified and untroubled. I'm loving that my rent includes utilities.

I had such a bad experience with Zuma Housing.
My apartment was poorly supplied by any tools and when we moved to the apartment it was really dirty.
My roommates and I had to buy all the stuff by ourselves. The washing machine didn't work for about 2 weeks and the agency didn't do anything for that.
Moreover, the price for the rental was really high compared to the services that Zuma provided us.
Zuma Housing was able to provide for me many options for a 6-month lease. Price was a bit steep and furniture could have been in better condition. Otherwise, they were quick to respond with any inquiries, maintenance issues, and payment issues. Easy to access renter's portal and no additional utility payments. Would recommend for students who need housing quick and furnished!
I was customer during 2013 while studying at UCLA. Stayed at the Barrington Plaza. Horrible experience with their management. They have poor conflict resolution skills. For the price you pay, you deserve at least that. It was all well and good until all my original flatmates were out and 3 other tenants came in. They party every night - to the point the police even came to our unit -and the whole unit smells weed because they smoke it. Of course I reported it and their staff, Sean, even took photos of the paraphernalia.
Nothing happened though. On top of everything else, as the situation got sensitive, their entire staff is rendered useless. I lost personal belongings. Specially my computer - god knows where that is.
If you can summon the patience of looking for good places, do it. The services here are not even worth half of what you pay for.
Can't complain about these guys. They helped me 3 times with late rent issue. My scholarship did not arrive on time and Zuma waited over 6 weeks for me to make rent payment. They charged me no late fee. Very nice people.

This place caters to international students although with new rules and regulations, it appears they are shifting towards families now. The staff members are very friendly and responsive to maintenance requests. They close at 6 PM during the week. Their online rent payment system is excellent and very easy to use.
This is by far the best option for students looking for apartments in the area of Westwood. Zuma offers highly affordable apartments with various lease agreements to best suit the variety of needs each student may have. The furniture they provide was in great condition and high quality, it definitely made it much easier for me to move in.
I've just moved out from Zuma's property. I feel lucky to choose Zuma housing during my first year in LA. The place is safe, comfortable and close to school, which perfectly meets my requirements. Recommend!

It has been 6 months. I have been staying in one of their Kelton properties. Actually never had a problem. They have been very simple and consistent. I study at UCLA and Kelton location is walking distance to the campus. I have 3 other roommates and we work it out very well since they are also UCLA students. I would recommend Zuma. Thanks!!!

As a young professional relocating to Los Angeles was a huge challenge - trying to find a beautiful but safe community near everything Los Angeles has to offer! This was the place! Management does a great job taking care of needs quickly. Never have problems with mail pickups and the fitness center/ pool is always clean.
I would give them 0 stars if i could. This is the worst place to go to if you are looking for a place. I would rather be homeless than go to them ever again. The houses are overpriced like ten times, you never get your security deposit back. To summarize once you pay them you are on your own. They will literally stop caring once you pay them. I don't know how they haven't gone out of business yet.
This company is fantastic! The apartment I stayed in is really great, they were super helpful in helping me looks for a room and getting me settled. It was super clean, decent looking and the maintenance were very attentive. It was very convenient and super fast having this company to help me find a place to live. I am so glad I finally found a safe, clean and comfy place in the area!
Worst place ever! They will do anything to not give you your deposit back!!! Be careful! Really bad service and people too! Try to avoid that place they look nice at the first time but you will not like them once you signed the contract. Be careful they stole so many deposits to a lot of students and clients.

It's difficult to get a good apartment room to stay here but thanks to Zuma Housing, I was able to get one that fits my needs. Staff were friendly and helpful. Price is reasonable too! A good plus for them is their flexibility. I highly recommend Zuma Housing to my friends who are looking for a place to stay as well.

Prior to attending UCLA I have never been to Los Angeles, so moving out here from Tennessee was pretty intimidating. I was clueless where to start when trying to find housing that was close to campus and not extremely expensive. I heard about Zuma Housing when starting to communicate with other students. I quickly filled out an application and luckily got accepted. I recently moved into my new rental and have been nothing but happy, it was beautifully furnished and has everything I could possibly ask for.
Its ripping off international students with prices that are way above the market. They play on the fear that students have when they first arrive.
I do not advice to rent a place from them. Services are not good, places are not like the photos shown on website. Basically a very awful experience renting with them. One star is even too much

Los Angeles overall is a very difficult housing market. Especially for students, because almost no place allows less than 6 months or 1 year contract. If you are a language college student or anything you better stay in the apartment 6 months and 1 year. There is also other issues such as starting a utility accounts for the new apartment. Since international students have no credit history it is impossible to start power or gas without putting security deposit. It is very costly. Also, buying furniture, carrying them around, dealing with roommates,many issues like that, because of these reasons I appreciate the service Zuma Housing offers, because Zuma Offers the full package with short term leases, furnished apartments etc. Students usually hate school, teachers anything that brings rules to their life. Some students also hate zuma, because they have many rules such as no parties or no smoking, however they are the only housing option for international students, besides the other company solutions la and I do not know where I would rent my room if it was not for zuma.
I was really impressed with the amenities and with the customer service I received from the management. The management were really quick to answer any request from residents and they truly understand our needs. Very professional, friendly, reliable, honest and very helpful staffs! They made my living experience a lot easier and stress free. I would highly recommend these housing to anyone who needs it!

honestly, I was not satisfied with their service at first because my manager got changed twice before I even knew. The only reason I chose zuma housing was because they offered a cheaper price than the apartment that I was living in. I renewed my lease again after a semester of cheap price. My manager and I had settled on a renewed price that I agreed on paying. However, zuma changed their mind and shoot me email saying that they were gonna charge more becuz the apartment raised the price. I was super angry because I already signed the renewal lease. But thankfully, the only thing that made me give them 3 star instead of 1 was because my manager Anh was super helpful and replied quickly. She resolved a lot of issues that I encountered with zuma & my apartment.

I was an international student and introduced to zuma in 2011 at their Greenfield location. For me it was a small office with bunch of young international people. Later on I found out that zuma housing was established by international students who had housing problems when they came to USA. It actually makes sense that students who had housing difficulties started a business to help other students. So for that reason I am positive about Zuma.
If you love yourself stay away from these people they are thieves!!!! I gave 950$ deposit when I first move in and they paid me ZERO when I moved out. They charged me the damages that I have no responsibility by saying "you needed to report these damages when you move in". I am sure that they are charging for those damages all the people had been moved in that flat! (They charged for couch damage 200$ per person, 600$ in total, you can renew the living room with that money!!!) They have very bad business ethics, and I heard a lot that who ever choosed zuma being super regretful for that. Be careful and make your search right. There are much more better quality apartments with same or lower prices! I would like to proud of this company for that founder is Turkish just like me and I would like to support him but unfortunately they made me ashamed about this. They have a very bad reputation and I am sure that they can't be continue this business for long because their attitude... Bye Zuma never see you again..
I firmly believe that the happiness of tenants is a direct reflection of the property management and you can't go wrong with Zuma Housing. Everything that I need is here like furniture, utilities, laundry, special amenities and its a secure place. Overall, I love it here but the new management makes it much better, it's always nice to have people who aren't snotty to run the place you live in.
Reserved a rooms based on photos and when I came to Los Angeles they told me it was not available. Zuma put me a very bad apartment with strangers that were not students. They dont care once they get their money. They ruined my time in Los Angeles. Stay away!!!
I lived with Zuma for about 1 1/2 years in Santa Monica while at SMC and they been really great for me I've referred them to friends and they helped them as well. I'm moving near UC Irvine now for fall semester but appreciate all Zuma's help in LA!

It was quite painfull to find an apartment in westwood area since UCLA is a big university with bunch of students. As an international student my chance to get a good location was below average since the language and culture was brand new for me. I saw Zuma office right on Westwood blvd and got in to get information. Very nice Asian girl helped me out with my 1st apartment. 3 things I wanted to make sure was the price, location and the apartment condition. I chose 2 apartments to see next day and left the office. The frustating part was that the next day one of the places i wanted to see was already booked and they canceled the showing. Luckily the one left was ok for me and i moved in following week. My lease agreement was sent to me electronically to my email and using google translator was good to make sure about what I was signing. During my stay i was shocked to see a smoking fine attached to my door with my name on it and if they did not help with waiving it this review would be a different one as i am not a smoker. Zuma people are all students or newly grads of UCLA which makes things better when you want to go talk to them. Last month i moved out and got a 35 dollars cleaning charge out of my deposit. I wanted to wait to evaluate them until i got my deposit. So overall they made things easier and i am still with contact with them everytime i make my way to westwood. My advice is to go to the office and talk to them spefically if you get any smoking or party notice. Also make sure report maintanence problems right away even it does not bother you.
Was referred to Zuma Housing by a close friend of mine who live in the same area. Browse their website and signed up for a tenant application. The entire process was really easy and they made everything very convenient for me. The staffs were also very helpful with everything you needed, knowledgeable and very professional as well. The place was also neat, it was huge and the neighbors were super friendly.
