I came in to the service department, had great conversation with Arturo, they processed my two cars and got me out of there in less than two hours. I was amazed at how fast the service was. Great job guys. Thanks!!

Julio the service manager hung up on me after lyin...

Julio the service manager hung up on me after lying to me about services that needed to be done on my vehicle. His staff Lisa claimed I needed a new purge valve. They wanted to take an additional $450 after paying $153 for servicing my vehicle. I took my car to my cousin who is a mechanic and he couldn t believe what they did. They detached the purge valve from the connection and claimed that I needed a new one.

This is this honest business unfortunately for this dealership. I would not trust anyone going to this location at all. I m going to dispute this with headquarters and make sure that somebody teaches the manager not to hang up or rip off their clients.

Had to get there some 3 time just in order to fix a 30 minute issue.
Forgot to fix all needed issues on the list (was published in their computer).
Poor customer communication and misleading information about car status.
Had to involve service executive manager to get job done.
Now had to book that 4th meeting to complete the service.

worst service. every single phone call made there has gone unanswered. I have been trying to reach the financial manager for MONTHS to remove an "additional insurance" I originally added to my car. I called every day for 3 weeks (some days between 5-10 times) and sporadically over the months. only to leave voicemails that never get answered. I intend to get it resolved when I walk in, but who has time for that. I work long hours and shouldnt have to drive to their location for something like this.
today I tried to make an appointment for an oil change looking forward to get both done when I visit, but that message has gone unanswered as well.

How did it occur to me to waste my time trying to buy a pre owned Toyota Corolla from a Chevrolet dealer? Falling for Tropical Chevrolet's misleading offers and potential buyers being taken as ignorant. Any other Chevrolet dealer would have more of a reputation than this one. And the person who responds to these reviews please do not even try to ask me to contact you again. You have my phone number.

Bought a 2013 Suburban XL w 30k miles on it last w...

Bought a 2013 Suburban XL w 30k miles on it last week at Tropical Chevrolet. The salesman Johan was great. Never pressured me and listened to exactly what i needed. Agreed on a fair price within 30 minutes. They gave me a great trade-in quote for my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and we had a deal for the swap. Paperwork was completed by finance and i was out the door w my suburban within 3 hours. Upon getting home i noticed a few minor cosmetic issues within the vehicle and even a small plastic cap was missing on the dash. Came back 1 week later and the service dept took over from there. They were also super professional. Tight ship run by Mr Vega. The plastic cap was replaced, the car was detailed (even the roof upholstery was steam cleaned) and my gas tank was filled. In Miami good service is hard to find. I recommend anyone looking for a Chevy in the area to check these guys out first.

Estafadores al cien por ciento no creo q sean todos porq no voy a generalizar deben haber buenas personas lo q me toco lo peor tenian a un vendedor de nombre guillermo q nos estafo ese ladron como no van a chequear a las personas antes de entrar a un lugar y mas un dealer donde como cliente depositas la confianza en quien te vende cuando fui a reclamar dicen q lo botaron segundo dice la radio q no down no pagas hasta los tres meses mentira el q me vendio el seguro tambien otro estafador mas me dijoq no sube y a losdos meses ya subio y de mala persona me estaba hablando mal de el seguro q tenia anteriormente y tercero para pagar con el banco financista bandidos no muestran la pagina para registrarse peropara estirar la mano para cobrar y asi cargo tienen el numero uno mejor me hubiera quedado con mi nissan del 2000 q me dejaba botada a caer en manos de personas inescrupulosas sin principios ni etica y mucho menos profesional

I went to check my sunroof out because it kept leaking. Of course like all dealership they charged a ridiculous diagnostic fee of $150. After waiting hours I finally got bored and went home. They promised to have the car to me the same day. Hours later, they called me to come and pick up the car. While I was on the way, they then called me to say that the car won't be available(while I was half way there). I then suggested that if the car is not finish and it was promised the same day can I then get the diagnostic fee waived or half off. They denied my request. This was very inconvenient because I had class, work, and an interview the following day. When I explained they didn't even offer a solution to make me happy. Don't even let me get started on the rude representatives. The manager called me a week later and promised to work something out due to the inconvenience caused by them i never received a call back. Go to another chevy.

This has to be, one of the better, tropical Chevrolet. That I have visited. Beautiful, business. Incredible car showcase inside. They're very helpful here. And kind. Very respectable. Very humble people. They have incredible, Showcase of new cars, within this location. Super super clean. They have been waiting area, with very comfortable sofas, and tables, where you can sit, and view TV, Wi-Fi access is available, they will ask you if you need water. They will give you bottles of water for free. I believe there is also free coffee. For customers only. Great great management, they will greet you with a kind smile. And assist you, in your Automotive needs. 5 Stars tropical Chevrolet. Yes they are historic. Very well known. For their superiors auto service, and sales, of cars. They also will buy your car, you can also trade in your car. They are fair, with a trade in value, towards the value and purchase, of a new vehicle. It's up to Tropical Chevrolet, in Miami Shores. I'm very proud to say, that they are, a part of Miami Shores. And El Portal. visit so, will be a joyful one. And very informative. They are more than happy, to answer all your questions, and needs.

My experience with Tropical Chevrolet was terrific. I'm thrilled with my new car. The customer service was exceptional. The salesperson made sure I was comfortable, providing cold water bottles and a charger for my cell phone. He had infinite patience with me because I was torn between the Cruze and the Trax. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The friendly sales manager circulated around the showroom, making sure everyone was being taken care of. The showroom was brimming of positive energy, nothing like walking into a shark tank like some other dealerships I've visited. The finance person was outstanding as well, patiently answering all my questions. I have already recommended Tropical Chevrolet to my coworkers and friends. I will gladly take my business there in the future.

I would like to give thanks to the Services Department for such a grate experience. My service ad visor was Maria Reyes , I came in for a oil change and my car was done as prompt very professional. I will recommend this dealer to my friends and family. They make you feel right at home and they even offered something to drink while i was waiting for my services to get done.

Terrible attention and information. We call to ask about a vehicle and the manager Mili gives us the information and says that we can go see it, after 1 hour of travel we arrive at the site and a typical vendor tells us without even looking that the car is no longer there, We say that we have just called and that the manager told us that he was there and responds that she does not know because she only limits herself to seeing on the computer and that the vehicles are selling them, that even though the computer says that if it does not appear in the park, it is already sold. That if we want another one that is no longer the same price but more expensive. Because they play with the costumer time. Finally, the manager returns to search the system and confirms that if it is worse, it is in the workshop, when we have to go see it, the same seller appears and on top of us he tells her that he cannot show it because the workshop is closed. So we decided to go. What I do not think is that we have to buy what the seller wants or generates more commission. Lack of profesionalism

THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE DEPARTMENT I VE DEALT WITH IN MY 27 YEARS OF DRIVING!

I made an appointment last year for my key getting jammed in the ignition and to fix my armrest. My truck had less then 20K miles and was well in the warranty period. When I arrived on a weekday work morning, I was told they couldn t diagnose the problem without possibly keeping the car for several days, with no loaner car available. I obviously was not ready for that so rescheduled for when a loaner would be available. I was assured I was all set, and should expect a loaner when i arrived for the second visit. Come day of second visit (missed half a day of work already), surprise!, no loaner is available and I still need to leave the car for several days. I had no choice but to reschedule for a 3rd visit, this time on a Saturday knowing they would not help me with a loaner vehicle. At this point several weeks went by and my truck was soon to be out of warranty, I made that clear to them. It must get fixed within warranty! The day of the 3rd visit arrives, I was the first customer there. Left my car early morning for them to have the entire day to diagnose (plus keep in mind my armrest was never fixed). After calling several times throughout the day to check on the progress I was told they would definitely get to the car before end of day. As it got close to closing time I realized I would never get that call, so I rushed over there before they close. My truck was sitting there untouched, 9-10hrs, absolutely nothing happened. I got no answer from the customer service rep, aside from they couldn t get to it.

Shortly after all 3 of these visits my truck went out of warranty, still with the original problems. After several months of the key continuing to jam (and armrest broken) I took the truck back. On this 4th visit, they miraculously found the problem and fixed it, charging me almost $400, even though I was there 3 times under warranty for the same issue. I paid the fee, with hopes that I can work directly with GM to get reimbursed, obviously the dealership will take 0 responsibility. 2 days after they fixed the problem, the key started to jam again. For my $400 and 4 visits I got a nice 2 days without the key getting jammed.

These guys are unethical and completely incompetent. They send you a survey, which I filled out last year in detail, with all explanations of what happened, but have never received any type of follow up. Really shows their level of customer service. Now, I filed a claim with GM to go after the dealership. I m considering other options as well.

I was very happy on the day of the purchase of my new 2018 Corvette. The salesman was very nice and I felt he tried helping me as much as he could, but with the time passing by, I am getting disappointed in the service. It's been 3 month and I still didn't get my license plate, and my third dealership plate is expired. It's been very hard to get hold of my paperwork because it is really hard to get hold of anybody. Once you call and get transferred , you end up at voicemail and never get the call back. I feel once you spend a considerable amount on a car it's the dealership that should send me the paperworks, and not me chasing them . I understand it was out of state purchase, but nevertheless the transfer of the license plate process was supposed to be started on the week of the purchase, not 3 weeks after.

I was given all the information about the vehicle Ive been looking for, including the final price. After deciding to move forward with my purchase, I was able to complete all paperwork within a short amount of time. We purchased a pre owned Toyota Sienna from Tropical Chevrolet back in February. While we were signing the paper work with the finance manager we asked if we could renew our registration till 2019. She told us yes it could be done for an additional fee that we paid. When we received the registration in the mail at the beginning of March we noticed that the registration had not been renewed. I called and spoke to someone in their title department and they explain that the system could not renew our registration till 2019 because it was more then 2 months before the renewal date. The lady told me that they owed us a refund for the additional money that we paid for the registration renewal and would need the owner to sign off on the refund check. Well its been more than 3 months since I have been trying to reach someone to inquire about the status of our refund checks. Been leaving messages and no one returns my phone call. Call salesman who assisted with the sale and he tells me he no longer works there, call sales manager who I negotiated the price and he tells me that its not his department and to call accounting. very frustrating experience As far as I know it is ILLEGAL for a car dealer to charge customers extra for sales taxes or state registration fee and to pocket any additional money paid. would not do business with Tropical Chevrolet again

BEWARE! RUN as far away from this place as you can...

BEWARE! RUN as far away from this place as you can and STAY away. There business practices and services are deceitful.

Suggestion: Before giving this dealer your business and hard earned money research them on the Better Business Bureau. Tropical Chevrolet has had 30 complaints against them in the last 3 years and 21 complaints in the last 12 months. 14 out of 30 complaints against Tropical Chevrolet regard Advertising/Sales and 13 out of 30 complaints regard Problem with a Product or Service. I have had 2 negative experiences with Tropical Chevrolet so far and they are well documented. If I had known and done better research prior, I would have avoided this business at all cost. You live and learn. Now I know and would like to warn others. Please do your adequate research on any company before giving them your business, and with anything regarding your finances and safety.

Why are they still in business? I do not know. But I am pretty certain if enough people take there complaints to General Motors and the Better Business Bureau things will change. Keep all of your paperwork and take pictures if you have to. Take business cards, names & dates, etc. Document EVERYTHING!

Advice: Before signing any paperwork and paying for your car being serviced ask your sales associate to physically show you everything that was done and what you are paying for. Make sure work has actually been done on your car CORRECTLY. Also, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE READ those 1 star reviews they NEVER lie.

I had a great experience purchasing a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban from Tropical Chevrolet. Tamer was an excellent associate and made my car time buying my vehicle easy, and made sure that I was able to leave with a car that I had wanted. My first choice of vehicle when I was checking the lot was out of the range that I could currently afford, but Tamer took the time to show me three more vehicles to help me finalize my selection. Though i ended up buying elsewhere he maintained in contact making sure I was ok with vehicle at that time. Sold me a brand new track with damages (small hole in the bumper) then they denied me any warranty base on this damage. They said I was taking apart the front bumper (Why would I take apart front bumper of a brand new truck?), and if I did (I didn't) why does it give them the right not to honor the warranty on unrelated problems?
also they never gave me the lock for the wheels.
I made an investigation and yesterday luckily I found pictures of the truck when I bought it and it clearly shows the damage was there when I bought the track.

I never received a phone call from service, I would be the one to follow up on my vehicle. Also when I called to reach for Tyson, I was on hold for almost 30 minutes, 27 minutes to be precise. I even took a picture to prove it if I had to. I called on another phone and after complaining he directly was told to pick up the line. Other than that, everything else went smoothly.

Vehicle sabotage! After purchasing a brand new 2018 Silverado I came in for my 2 free* services. The first time they failed to rotate my tires with the excuse that their lift couldn't handle my truck with 20 gallons of water in the bed. The second time i came in for my complimentary service they offered to balance my wheels for $80, which I kindly refused before letting them take the vehicle. When I got the truck back, I got on the highway and the vehicle started to shake. Upon further inspection I noticed one of my front wheel weights had been removed(I could tell from a tool mark on my wheel). I also pointed ot some rust spots on the truck(6 months ive had it), and never recieved any update on what they could do to help me with it. Never get your vehicle serviced here! They are crooked, lying thieves.

I've called several times to speak with someone in finance and left messages with a call back number and no one has called back. I need a form to cancel my gap insurance to get a refund because I refinance my car with someone else. Every time I call someone answer and transfer me and no response. Very Poor Customer Service. I bet if I was calling for a car they are quick to convince you to purchase a car and quick to call you. I purchase a 2015 car from them and broke down after 2 years of purchase.

99.99 % of what I could say about this superb car dealership are all positive ones especially to the team of salesmen Alfonso and Jose. From the time I stepped into the yard up to the time I drove away with my newly purchased car, these 2 guys have had rendered an exceptional and impeccable customer service. Also, I would like to mention the untiring assistance of the finance manager and the insurance guy on during that time and I just apologize for I don't remember their names.
And the 0.01% of my comment deals with some negativism coming from the eyes of a customer service professional like me. No beating around the bush but I just noticed that there seems to be some bureaucracy in your dealership system because every move or step taken by the salesmen I dealt with entailed waiting, waiting and waiting. I practically spent the whole morn and late afternoon sitting around just to wait. I don't have any idea about your organizational structure but reviewing it would help in a swift, expedited and express out in benefits of your valued costumers, and I thank you all!

I stayed without a car for like a week no loaner provided like they said and no rental provided either like if I don't pay for that .all they have to do is communicate no type of customer service or communication.
