I took my 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe truck to have the oil changed months ago and then I left the truck parked at my house and did not drive it since then I went to turn it on and it did not start I changed the new battery and new alternator took it to Tropical Chevrolet and the service boy attended me and said that he would take care of that electrical problem of the truck after 3 hours he calls me and tells me that the battery was bad he sold me a new battery again and charged me $ 365 dollars to The next day the truck does not turn on, it does not have a battery charge, I called him and he told me that that was the problem. liar charged me just to change a battery that money and the battery that the truck had was new

Alex M. was very helpful and nice, the manager also came over and explained any extra questions we had, but Alex made sure to walk me and my sister through the process and stayed patient through our tirade of questions and back and forth dealings.

Note, this was the third Chevrolet I went to in one week - and this was the only one were I felt welcomed and they didn't look down on me here, they made sure that they were friendly and as such they gained my business.

I have to honest that now I know management does care and reads these reviews. I was contacted by the dealership and they admitted where the error and correct the problem employee with appropriate action. I was given compensation for some of the money I spent to correct the issues myself.

Not professional at all, front desk never answers your call the phone rings and they don t pick up, check your car before taking it to service, they fix something but they forget to place the parts back to the fixed item and they do not replace it because mechanic throws them away!! Within the hour I sent him some info and he got the deal done and I had a brand new car delivered to my house. So many people helped this to happen. I was interested in a 2017 Chevy Colorado. I emailed and no response so I did a live chat. The operater could not answer an questions so she passed me along to Eddie Pereira. He emailed, called and texted me. He told me he would contact me back with the info and I never heard from him again.
A week later I emailed the dealership again and said "I'm trying to buy a new truck and spend thousands of dollars with you please help!" Right away I get a call and text. The guy texting me never identified himself but I told him what I wanted. He wrote back "give me a few..." I never heard back.
Guess what Tropical I went to Bomnin Chevy in West Kendall and I walked out with a 2017 Colorado LT fully loaded!!!!!
Talk about complete incompetence at Tropical. So just to confirm I did all research and literally begged someone to assist me so I could spend thousands of dollars and Tropical could care less. No wonder Bomnin is destroying you in sales, Great job!!!

Horrible service, waited 2 hours and 15 minute for A simple oil change not even a tire rotation. The only reason I come to this place is because it s close and this is where I purchased my vehicle unfortunately I so regret it. Never again will I be back. They use the excuse of coronavirus and shortstaffed, it would be nice to let your clients know before they waste their time and waiting for an oil change had an appointment at 8 AM to leave at 10:15 AM. They don t even offer you some type of discount for the inconvenience, all they can say is I m sorry. I recommend you never to come here for service on your vehicle.

STAY AWAY - I Went to Tropical Chevrolet to trade in my van, a 2010 Routan in perfect shape with full original entertainment system, leather seats , to get a better car with similar features for my kids and family (captain chairs, entertainment system ect.). The sales guy Guiovany showed me the 2020 Traverse, there were two options: one was a silver exterior basic model with nice interior, captain seats and the second option was a white exterior, high country model with the enhanced features that High Country features: leather brown seats, dual sun roof, 6 camera, 4x4 ect .. super nice car with everything I asked, except entertainment for my three kids under 8, which is a necessity.

We sat and talked about prices and all that, after 6 hours of being there the manager came out and asked me , what do you want me to do for you to buy the car? I told him I wanted the high country but I need the entertainment system included, if he could give me that in the deal I will purchase the car ... he came out and told me ok all yours high country with the entertainment System all included at the price.. "take it!" the manager said. I went home to see prices and think about it see the entertainment system online, (system nice similar to my van ) and all the Chevrolet accessories I could get, so I went back the next day to close the deal with excitement.

After buying the car, they call me to take it to a place to get the entertainment System installed. My husband went and couldn t leave it there because they didn t work with original OEM parts from Chevrolet, they were told to install another aftermarket system totaling a price of ony $600 with installation (so you can imagine the quality of this system). We did not leave the car with this aftermarket shop, not for a $50,000.00 car. So I called Giovanny, he said not to worry, he will send me to a better place. A week later, he call me to leave the car for 2 weeks at the Chevrolet Dealer because the headrest color (with High Country stitching) of the car wasn t available and they had to order the system. I left the car in the dealer with Giovanny, and after a week ,I came to pick it up all exited with my 3 kids and I open the door and surprise ! The entertainment system is not the original from Chevrolet (Audiovox $299.00 a unit), no integration with the car speakers, each has its own DVD player so we would need two DVDs, the stitching is NOT OEM, it s a slightly different variation of stitching to avoid copyrighting issues with "High Country" and the headsets do not even work !! I got so upset, so disappointed, I couldn t believe how a Chevrolet dealer could install a non original part in a brand new car .. I got there at 3 pm .. after complaining, asking for solutions, Guiovany trying to explain this was a good system ect .. the manager came out and have the nerve to tell me they never told me they were going to install the original Chevrolet entertainment system, and how I could ask for such a thing if they gave me that for FREE (Remember we purchased the car for the sole purpose of having the entertainment system, we literally care about nothing else!!!! 3 hours on this .. 6 pm .. no solution, he said that is all I was going to get .. I put my 3 kids in my car put a movie, I powered on the cheap aftermarket audiovox system and connected the screens with a radio station 88.1 (yes that is 2020 technology in a $50,000.00 car) , to have the sound in all the car speakers (As a 2020 vehicle High Country should have) , and guess what .. music from other stations interfered the sound of the movie and one of the headphones doesn t work and this is day 2 ... bravo! Tropical CHEVROLET well done!

Experienced several rude employees here. No sanitary stations were visible, no employees are wearing masks, no employees are practicing social distancing. I literally had an employee walk up directly behind me in order to access a computer behind me, did not say excuse me, and the only reason I knew he was there was because I could hear him breathing on me. When I called him out(after scooting my chair away from him) and pointed to the sign in building saying required social distancing he just stared at me and kept working. Never said a single thing. This business obviously thinks COVID-19 is a joke. I would recommend to stay away for anyone concerned with their health.

I purchased a new vehicle from Tropical Chevy in March of 17 and have experienced the same host of problems for over 18 months. 13 visits later (and counting) not only have they not been able to resolve any of my issues the first time (radio, key detection, exhaust fumes in cabin), their lack of knowledge in identifying the root cause requires me to return for service on the same issues to no avail. Their excuse? Nothing is showing up on the computer. I not only showed my service rep, but also had the service department manager witness the issue in person/real-time, and they still default to inconclusive computer reports. The avoidance of accountability, quality, and integrity is disheartening. If the computer is not identifying an issue that you (Tropical Chevy reps) are identifying in real-time, there should be some alternative beyond a system report. If the department is unable to identify and repair an issue (radio), why return a unresolved problem to the customer after multiple service request? Their lack of concern for customer safety by dismissing on going, unresolved issue is not only poor customer service, it is poor service quality. Moreover, they are untrustworthy of operating with full due dillegance for customer satisfaction and interest. I would assume a service department would have more resources available to provide better customer care if they are unable to provide quality repairs. Or exercise their ability to communicate the repeatative issues they are unable to resolve with a District Manager or better experienced/ equipped GM service advisors. Rather than wash their hands of the issue.

However, I am not alone in this struggle with both, Tropical Chevy and General Motors. My growing concern of the same issues (radio/key detection) while under warranty going unresolved outside of my warranty is unsettling. I was reassured by management they have resources to resolve issues outside of warranty. However, in my last visit, I witnessed the identical predicament with a customer just outside of warranty being told by the same reassuring service department manager that what do you want me to do? You re out of warranty? Not only did it contradict his statements to me, a customer, the issue with the other customer was with his radio as well! I witnessed this department having allowed an identical issue with another customer (Chevy Truck owner) go unresolved with their issue. While they claim there are resources available to assist ongoing issues just outside of warranty, it reasonable to assume Tropical Chevy hopes of customers reaching outside of the dealership warranty to either earn a quick buck or not be held accountable for their incompetence. When will GM honor the quality of their product with a recall on its radios, or hold repair shops accountsble for the quality of their services?

I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually had an enjoyable experience at this dealership. Just like any other person that walks into a car dealership, I walked into Tropical Chevrolet with a defensive attitude ready to be bombarded by money hungry salesman circling the dealership like sharks in the ocean searching to get just a hint of blood in order to tare you apart.
This was not the case in Tropical Chevrolet, in fact it was just the opposite. I was greeted by Ana (a lovely lady that works the front desk) who then introduced me a salesman named frank, I told him what I was looking for and he showed me just that and nothing else. He didn't try to sell me or con me into buying anything else other than what I was looking for. For the first time in my life, I actually felt like a bought a car that I wanted and not sold into a car that I didn't like just so the salesman can get his commission.
But I can't give Frank all the credit, Sofia from the finance department also did a great job taking her time giving me all the different financing options. I forget the name of the gentleman that helped me with the insurance for the car but he also did an outstanding job getting the best price through 4 different insurance companies.
All in all, I was in and out of the dealership within two hours time but the experience was so pleasant that I actually wanted to stay a while longer.

Spent about 5 hours in Chevi dealer. Was trying to change my car chevrolet for better deal and less price. The sale person gave me a higher price that im payng now for my Equanox in exchange for smaller sedan car . I was not agreed with a price. He was not even trying to give me a better price and told me that if I'm not agreed I need to come any other time. After that I told him I will probably change my Chevi for other brand, and he said that's a find, I can go ahead and find something different. I'm really disappointed with customer service and sale person. Now will start looking for different company.
