I experienced of trillium health ,the doctors and nurses work hard everyday providing quality care that is necessary . The administration show efforts and help you with all the care you need providing important information quickly .Trillium is open 24/7 and you can ask the helpful workers for any information needed .
I am beyond extremely pissed I went into the hospital on Tuesday, May 8, as per told by my doctor to go get a psychiatric evaluation. My doctor was worried about depression and another mental illness, when I got to the hospital that you first people that I talk to told me that they believe my doctor is correct, made me an appointment to come in to see the actual psychiatrist on Friday, May 11, so I did. I get there on Friday and I don t even get to see a psychiatrist they put me in with the resident, no residents can diagnose any patients. After talking to the young girl who look to be no older than 30, she left the room and went to talk to the actual psychiatrist... well if the psychiatrist wasn t busy then why was I talking to the resident? That s not even my problem my problem today is that I went in there and that resident told me absolutely nothing was wrong with me and it was just my personality Yesterday May 26, I went back to my doctor because I could not take that answer seriously as there s a lot going on in my life and if My doctor had said something was wrong I believe her as she s known me for years. So I m at the doctors and after about 10 minutes of talking she diagnosed me as clinically depressed and and I am now trying to find out how I can sue trillium and that resident from telling me that nothing was wrong with me and saying it was just my personality and me going home thinking that everything is fine except it s just me I almost wanted to kill myself and now after being properly diagnosed by a real doctor I am at that point where I don t know what to do because if I had come home that night from Trillium and killed myself it would ve been there fault so I would like some payback for the pain and Agonizing torture of being told nothings wrong then being diagnosed of the actual things that I came to the hospital for and they told me that nothing was wrong!
i went there in the morning, and they administered me very fast and i could finish everything there in 30 mins only!! glad to have such a nice experience despite the condition of COVID19
The staff on the third floor were exceptional. Food although small portions were tasty. The entire team went out of their way to get you tested, answering your questions, caring and trying to keep all safe all the time.
So happy to have had a great team.
Just called about an appointment to confirm and whoever picked up the phone 1 of the rudest reception i ever had to deal with.Picked phone up and yelled "hold".I work in health care I know sometimes can be tough specially around holidays but if u cant deal with it change job.her voice was so annoyed and office opened 25 mins ago.Didnt hear what ahe was asking and he yelled it for 2nd time and hang up on me after she confirmed the time.
I'm at emergency right now. My mother has had a stroke. Bleed on the brain. They told me to feed her so she can take meds. She stopped chewing. She can't swallow. I told the nurse my mom is getting worse. The nurse told me "she is no worse than when she came" EXCEPT WHEN SHE CAME HER LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE WORKED. NOW ONLY RIGHT SIDE WORKING. I'm watching my mom decline. DON'T BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. Go to Toronto.
Been to emergency ward for Sub talar dislocation. Nice place staff are friendly. Fracture clinic appoints were smooth and Dr Mcbroom was very friendly.
Great care by all doctor's,
Nurses on 5J and PDA'S where wonderful.Very careing .
Thank you very much.
The nurse is very patient, passionate and caring. The doctor is very responsible and very professional.
Went in today for emergency . Was waiting for 3 good hours before being attended by a doctor. And when I enquired about the delay , then the paramedics told that the previous doctor is re assessing the previous patients and I could be attended by a new doctor who starts the shift at 7 am and that too is not certain as there are 7 blocks and he isn't sure which block the doctor will go to . Fact of the matter is , if in emergency , a patient is not attended by a doctor for over 3 hours , then the purpose of emergency gets defeated . Even for the person accompanying the patient , it is inconvenient because the staff doesn't know what time the doctor is going to come . Sorry state of affairs .
Do not come here to this the emergency center. You'll wait 6+hrs just so a room (6 rooms in total) can open up. Better luck at Mt. Sinai or Port Credit Valley
I am so sorry about that 1 star. I went to emergency service for my 9yo kid at 7:00pm on 05/June/19. We have been waiting to see doctor s Holy face 5 hours. I understand the existing population and Doctor ratio reality. However, He is just 9. He is already so irritated about his health and crying. He has to care on his small shoulder his health issue, crying, hungry and getting sleepy during 5 hours. I do not understand, How the Canadian Health system allow that, even Canada proudly looking after the animals. I just like to say "I feel shame name of you guys." I also did not see none of smile or positive face from register desk to final exam room to support our hard condition. I know, your job is the one of the hard job. But this is big part of your job when you deal with "Hope need" humans. I wish to see all 5 stars at your page in coming 5 years.. Regards,
I have taken various family members to Trillium Health Centre on a few occasions and I found the staff to be efficient, kind and conscientious. My most recent visit had a staffer take several minutes to speak with my son providing ideas on how could deal with his condition.
This is my second visit in two days to Trillium Mississauga in emergency. I found front staff very cordial. Most of the nurses were rude and didn't care about anything at all. For hours they don't even bother to find it out, what is happening with the patient. I am here in my room and nurse so careless that she didn't bother to ask for a water, cold, any blanket , even not put the bell.Shocking. Disgusting. Never again. Go to any other hospital. Nurses are extremely busy either on computers or cell phones. THIS IS MY SECOND WRITING IN THREE HOURS. DURING THIS TIME NOT EVEN ONCE NURSE VISITED ME. AFTER RINGING THREE TIMES ONE PERSON CAME AS I WANTED TO USE WASHROOM.
MY EXPERIENCE IS HORRIBLE AND IN SUPEREMERGENCY NOT A VISIT BY DOCTOR YET.
worst hospital worst service and worst doctors, please if you have some emergency and if you want to save someone's life don't go to Trillium
Prepare for a waiting time of 4 to 6 hrs. If u have an emergency!
improve your staff, investing in concrete is worthless if you don't invest in people.
Wait times are a bit long but it's only one of two hospitals in a city with 800,000 people, can't blame anyone for that. When in with chest pains and racing heart was just anxiety but have never had them that severe so thought it was something else. The over worked and under appericated nurses and doctors answerd all questions and most importantly assured me I wasn't dying. Thanks for everything.
Trillium will always be my favourite hospital. Staff is polite , rooms are clean and doctors know what they are doing instead of giving you the run around like many other hospitals.
The nurse asked how are you feeling, they said tired and emotionally drained, the nurse then told my sister in law the alternative to being here is death!! Horrible experience, this hospital is completely understaffed and mismanaged. Whoever over sees health care needs to take a hard look at this hospital and review there systems and checklists. Unfair wait times, updates every 6 hours if your lucky, even when your in excruciating pain waiting for surgery!!!!
Bad service, I've been developing a really bad chest pain day after day... I don't want to go to the hospital but when you feel your life is at risk that's the only place to go. I was sent home even though I was in so much pain. At this moment I can't even get up from my own bed because of my chest pain and difficulty breathing...
Took my daughter to ER RAZ. The nurses at front desk are incompetent have zero compassion even for kids. All they care about is gossiping among each other. WORST HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE EVER. Nurses need to take a lesson or two on customer service, empathy and care. They drain people who are already sick. Shame on you.
Emergency service at this place is worst. No separate service for babies less than 6 months old. One of the emergency staff said 'we do not go by priority but we go by first come first serve' which is so weird to hear this from RAZ team. The hospital promotes breastfeeding but the RAZ does not have any nursing rooms when they make babies wait for 3 to 4 hours before seeing the doctor. I understand they are busy we have been there before (ER) and was ok to wait for 4 hours coz my son started doing ok after triage. Today we are in the hospital because he has been vomiting profusely and he vomited yellow stuff after reaching the hospital like 5 time and still we are waiting to be attended. Hope to move to a different city which has better hospitals.
I had an awesome lunch meal at PitaLand Restaurant trillium hospital, really great restaurant. Thank you PitaLand for great food and excellent service.
Highly recommended that particular location. People are very friendly beside the delicious foods.
Two weeks ago my baby (19 months)was sick with high fever and the fungus in her mouth. She did not eat for four days. The family doctor sent us to the emergency for oxygen and treatment. When we went to the emergency, and after more than four hours waiting the doctor there did not care about the situation as he should do just did x-Ray and he said this baby did not need any antibiotics and sent us home . the nurse in the Department of Radiology was Rude , we went back to the family doctor and he gave us the necessary drugs , I hope no one go through same experience.
We went to this hospital today for my brother's surgery we were waiting to get a date for this surgery for a long time once we get there this morning they checked all the documents and asked him to get changed for the surgery waited for the doctor almost 2 hours and a nurse came after and said the surgery gt cancelled we asked the reason for the cancellation and they said there is no "BEDS" after the surgery so you have to book another day we were really disappointed
Not recommending this place to anybody please try to stay away from this hospital you don't wanna get screwed
Discharged our son born with visible cancerous tumours. We have an open investigation going on with them and are trying to seek accountability for their apathetic approach to medicine/health care. Reported the doctors/nurses involved to the College of Surgeons and physicians. Hopefully getting a news piece aired on these monsters over at Trillium. You have some karma coming to you Trillium, don't worry, I can be patient.
I have to start off to say that the nurses at this Hospital are fantastic. my situation is the I've been in the hospital from the beginning of September to the end of September when I needed something cuz I was in excruciating pain it took eight and a half hours for a doctor to come see me,when the doctor did come see me he didn't even know what it was he just give me pain medication and a sleeping pill by the next day I woke up again with the same pain I also have to wait another 5 hours for the doctor came and seen something that long to figure out that my bowel was clogged up by by the end of it their conclusion was it's just a stomach infection I had this for years in a roll you think they would figure out by now what I had.
Very unpleased with the nurse staff here. Specifically head nurse Alison and staff nurse anna.
Anna was very on edge for our stay. Just not a nice person to be around, very unprofessional. She could care less about our time here. Probally wont have another child but if so definitely ot here.... amazing delivery staff....after delivery you end up with a horrible 24 hr stay hopefully not with Anna and Head nurse Alison!!
A little disorganized but I guess, all hospitals are now. Oncology floor is wonderful.
The rest of the hospital is great, I ve had surgery here and everyone was great.
But the mental health centre, HOLY they are so unprofessional and constantly mess up people s appointments. Every time I was in the waiting room there was someone else who apparently was too early or too late for their appointment. The receptionist just messes up all the bookings.
I wish they were better as there are people who really could use help.
I called to book my next appointment and apparently I was discharged without anyone telling me? Yet the psych is still filling my prescriptions how does that make sense.
The psych is ok to talk to but you re always rushed out ASAP and half the time she s talking to the receptionist over the phone about who s next.
Mental health issues, go to sunnybrook, never go here.
Amazing staff and facilities. I was there on Sunday with lots of abdominal pain. It took a while to get seen in the emergency room but they were busy and the staff were very friendly and clearly working hard. Once I was seen they directed me through ultrasound to confirm what was wrong, then I was admitted to the hospital. I met with the surgeon who explained I would need my appendix removed. I had the surgery that night and was released the next day. Every staff member I interacted with was very friendly and professional, they answered any and all questions that I had. I am very happy with my experience at this hospital.
I went in ER on Aug 26, 2020 due to Subdural Hematoma, Dr. Kis did the surgery on Aug 27, 2020. It went very well, I am greatful to him, he is great, professional, humble, caring and real human being. May God Bless him and his family. Further here I would like to add that the nursing staff at neurological clinic is very professional and humble too, thanks to everyone for tireless work. In particular I am very very thankfull to nurse Sunny she is humble, dedicated and detail oriented. May God Bless you and your families.
Best Regards,
Arif Mohammad
Don't go here if you try to commit suicide. They patch you up, and send you home and tell you to go "Read a nice book". This was at the Sherway Gardens location.
Had a potential blood clot that could have resulted a bad consequences Waited 6 hours, up for 23 hours, with no doctor, no results, no information, forced to sit in a chair that was compounding the clot. I guess my concept of service levels is different than theirs.
This is the worst hospital in Mississauga. I have been to the emergency department on three different occasions for three separate issues. On my second visit they had a medical student to attend to me. Not to mention the female Doctor Who misdiagnosed me stating I had appendicitis and needed surgery! In fact I just had a kidney stone pass through my system. The third time I went I waited for 6 hours just to get the results of my x-ray for my knee which I injured. The nurses there seem rude and snobby in all three occasions that I have been there. They do not update you not check in you to see how you are doing just out of basic human compassion and courtesy. I overheard a nurse belittling an old lady who wanted to go home. She said your not going anywhere and spoke to her like a child in a very rude manner. There were two other people waiting there along with me and it was not busy at the time. We all left without seeing the Doctor. What a joke. As much as people talk about the States I often wonder if this is how it is over there. I mean people have to pay for their health care so I would think the service is far better. I think the hospital staff mistreat pal because they know we are covered by OHIP and do not care. In their minds so are not dying so we should just go to the walk in clinic. This hospital needs to be seriously reviewed on their practices as the wait time is far too long. The nurse informed me that they only had one Doctor working and that is how the hospital operates. Just a heads up. Prepare to wait long if you are in need of care or treatment. Bring an overnight bag and a jacket as it is freezing in there. Can't stand Trillium.
I will NEVER EVER deal with this emerg AGAIN. OH MY GOD.
Those who have reviewed that the emerg nurses are rude are not exaggerating. At first I thought it was just me..
I fractured my leg and am a patient at the fracture clinic (which they are absolutely wonderful caring humans there). When I felt signs and symptoms of a blood clot I was told to go to the emerg right away. So I did.
I wish I could give a comparison of rudeness and lack of bedside manners. But I don t meet many inconsiderate people thankfully.
Don t get me wrong there were some nurses who were kind but the rude ones unfortunately outweighed them. They were awful towards kids who were obviously crying if either pain or fear.
I heard things like they ll get here when they get here! When a patient of 7 hours asked about getting their cast.
Kid was crying and a nurse said oh stop crying! Why are you crying you re not even in pain! And not in a nice way in a really ridiculing way.
I was asked to hold my broken leg and sit in a chair..
I almost fell over in my crutches from my pain killers being so strong and all the nurses just watched me standing there swaying obviously out of it. No one wanted to help so yes I started to cry and said can someone please get me a f**ing chair? Not that this was ok, I know. I had been here for 8 hours at this point and was losing it. But regardless a nurse just stared at me and was like ok you don t have to swear, there are kids in the area. I doubt these kids would be ruined by my profanity over them yelling at them for crying but that s just my opinion.
Needless to say a nice nurse helped me and through my hyperventilating and crying of over exhaustion and my pain, I apologized to her. I said I m not a mean person, I am sorry but I have been here from 12am-4am and now I m back and I ve been here since 12pm and I m just over exhausted and my pain killers are very strong and no one was helping me. She was sweet and got me set up and left.
The doctor was super cool ,ultrasound technician was wonderful, the staff that helped transport me was so so sweet. (If it was just them and the fracture clinic I would be giving a full 5 stars)
And I will even say I had some staff tell me they are all aware that the emerg nurses are rude. So it is not just the patients. And honestly - they are probably under so much stress we aren t even aware of. It is important that we try to be as empathetic and open minded when people can act in such a way we don t understand the reasoning.
However that just means something else needs to be done. I hope these reviews are read and taken seriously by someone who can help the nurses be less stressed and also work on their bedside manners as well as ensure that patients are feeling cared for. Im not asking for a bell and some cozy slippers. Im not suggesting anything other than don t treat people like they are dogs, to put it bluntly.
Apparently this is a learning campus. It is staffed mostly with residents, interns and students lead by a professional doctor. I understand that learning is critical, but it is my opinion that it adversely affects wait and diagnosis times. I waited 12 days for an MRI when it was cancelled as 1 MRI machine was out of service for these almost 2 weeks. I was discharged with no diagnosis and no prognosis after a 3 week stay with bilateral shoulder injury. My medical team admitted that they were baffled with my condition. Also my first doctor that I was assigned to never met with me in 10 days. Ever. I requested a new doctor. Also the charge nurse never met with me either after several requests. Nurses are generally respectful, professional and caring. Some however have the personality of a small soap dish... Also Paladin security is terrible. I was confused and disoriented and was lost on the second floor when I should have been on the 3rd floor. Security escorted me to the exit asked me to leave the hospital. They never asked if I was a registered patient nor did they ask to see my ID bracelet. Due to their negligence I missed being connected to the IV and missed receiving my meds that night. I was cordial, co-operative and pleasant, certainly not belligerent or aggressive.... I was just an OHIP number, staff obviously did not care for me as a human being. Pathetic really. Complaint filed with PR.
Rude intake staff, Rude and lazy Nurses they treat you like you don't exist and if you ask for help or attention as a patient, they make you wait longer not to mention raising their voice to shut you up...Ive I been there twice and now I rather to die at home instead of going there...
I would like to quote a note from a critically ill patient. "At least you can wait. The scariest thing is when you are rushed passed all the people in the waiting room because you are seconds/minutes away from death. I wish they told me to wait. "
IF YOU ARE WAITING IN EMERGENCY FOR A LONG TIME, IT'S BECAUSE YOU CAN. BE THANKFUL YOU ARE ABLE TO WAIT.
As a nurse, I am sorry for the wait times. At the same time, you don't see the people who do not wait, who are rushed in unresponsive, who the doctor/nurse that you are about to yell at is trying to save. We treat by priority. If you are able to go to a walk in clinic or urgent care centre please go there first. If you are unable to breathe, you are having a heart attack, or you are experience some type of life threatening illness in that moment, then come to the emergency room.
Here is a note from an emergency room Doctor:
"Sometimes healthcare workers walk in to see someone new and before even introducing themselves, out comes; We ve been sitting here for 45 minutes and . . . or That guy next door has been moaning forever and nobody is helping him. You literally had to direct yourself 100% at someone grappling with death, and the rest of the show goes on around you. There s times where you run, and rush, and hurry, and skip eating, and go 12 hours without urinating, and you d give your firstborn for a cup of water, and through it all, you lose, you get complained to, and you get zero sympathy from your coworkers or management. I ve been covered in phlegm, urine, feces, blood, infectious drainage, sweat, and tears. I ve had to go from ensuring a person continues to breathe, to a room full of angry people because grandma wanted a Tylenol and the call light has been on for 10 minutes, and we re going to another hospital, and we want another doctor, and this place is getting a call to the administration, and I m going to call a lawyer, and I m calling channel 6 news, and we know so-and-so and he s going to hear about this."
So once again, I would like to say, I am sorry about the wait times...but BE THANKFUL YOU CAN WAIT.
2 vascular surgeries in 3 days.fight for pain med surgeon ordered.night nurse brutal. Told no pain med by one, aspirin by another.surgeon said hydromorphine due to the high pain level. Tell charge nurse to tell night nurse please. Surgeon says new strong liquid antibiotic now,if fail maybe limb loss.it beeps 1/2 hour, I buzz,no help..I drag iv and messed foot to nurses station.its party central and told it's shift change.i mentioned surgeon order and more shift change go away attitude. Really.leave nursing if it's about break!.nurse shows up and chews me out!!!!!!!! Shift change!!!!
I was listening with interest to the "town hall" meeting via telephone last night. A few comments were made about the emergency department but answers were traditional and did not address the concerns expressed which are also my concerns. To say that real emergencies will be attended to as a priority is a given. The issue of long wait times for non-emergent patients was ignored and we were reminded that we should seek help at walk-in clinics, urgent care or better still see our family doctor. I am an 80 year old widow living alone in the community. When I have a concern about a possible heart ailment or an attack of intense vertigo at night I can only call an ambulance. I have made two visits to the ER this year and waited in excess of five hours to see a physician. In one case after 8 hours of vertigo, my family physician INSTRUCTED me to go to ER. In the other I experienced a prolonged AFib attack. On both occasions I was intensely uncomfortable and was treated with disregard. Why couldn't an urgent care section be part of the ER? Why do you want to make it a satellite facility? For those of us who are not considered emergent, it would be much appreciated if, after triage, we were streamlined into an area where we could be attended to in a timely manner and have the hospital services available.
I recently attended my family physician regarding an episode I had experienced at home. I was told I should have gone directly to Emergency. Really, what should I do?
As a medical professional I worked at Trillium when it was South Peel Hospital and later Mississauga Hospital. I gave birth to both of my children there. I donate. I have seen the changes that have occurred in the last 50 years.
You are never going to stop sick people, feeling worried, from coming to Emergency. While working on community resources to keep us all healthy and educated and while setting up 24 hour medical/urgent care clinics, please don't make us feel we are living in a third world country.
Amazing experience in the ER. Efficient and quick service.
The worst experience of life, Staff is rude, irresponsible and playing dirty office politics. Staff do not want to work so they transfer patients to other hospitals for surgery and then don't provide rehab service because surgery was not done at trillium.
My mom is suffering serious injury, sunnybrook hospital did surgery on her and recommend 4-6 week inpatient rehab service Trillium accepted the application but now refusing to provide rehab service in just 2 days after transfer.
My mom is already in lot of pain, family is under lot of pressure but instead of helping ease pain these monsters add more stress in your life by talking in insulting manner to kick out of the hospital.
Where is our tax money? why these public servants are acting like they are above of everything? Who give them authority to put patient and family's life at risk
I had horrible experience in this so called Emergency department. I had disc prolapse leading to severe backache. My history was self explanatory and straightforward. A very rude nurse asked me to wait in rapid assessment zone and without taking my history asked me to provide urine sample. When I asked why she is doing that, she said kidneys are in back too so. I am a general surgeon myself and I know there is hell lot of difference in history and physical examination of renal pain and spinal stenosis pain. So I refused to provide urine, she rudely went away and kept me waiting for straight 6 hours. I was in excruciating pain and I received literally no care in this hospital. This is the worst ED. ED of very poor developing countries are way better than this one.
I attended the fracture clinic recently. The clerical assistants, namely Carla and Sam, were the most considerate, helpful, professional and committed people I ve ever had to connect with. While I was in pain and confused, they helped me deal with a very difficult situation: the first people you meet in a crisis are the most important because that s who you remember. Sam, especially, helped me sort out a situation where I was panicking and tearful, and she solved things not only professionally but in a very short time. I am so grateful. I cannot, unfortunately, similarly praise the attending orthopaedic surgeon, who not once made eye contact with me, failed to introduce himself and left me very confused about future treatment options as he hurried through the appointment. Sam saved the day for me.
I helped my mother with her admission to the diagnostic imaging department. A front desk lady (she said her name is Arianna but wasn't wearing any badge) she was yelling at patients telling them to take a number and set down. When it was our turn, I politely suggested that it would be easier to have a big banner with such instructions. She told me with a ton of attitude that there is a sign but people do not read. Furthermore, she asked us to follow number 2, and when asked her whether its lift or right, she's yelled at me asking me to just follow the number. Moreover, she was joking with her colleague and yelling at us whenever there is a chance. I'm not sure why such people take their job for granted and think they can yell at patients simply because the hospital is publicly funded and customer service is a KPI that the hospital cares much about. very disappointing.
*** after receiving the below response from the owner, I have emailed the email provided and never heard back from anybody. I sent the email 10 days ago.
Horrible experience. Went in emergency for severe kidney stone pain. They didn't even check me for hours (6+ hours) till the pain went away by itself after a few hours.
Every other hospital I've been through at least checks patients that come in and gives them painkillers. I came back home without getting checked up and will be going to a different hospital if the pain comes back.
There was a single nurse here who seemed to be calling patients inside, the rest were doing nothing. She was quite rude. Having gone to emergency before I understand giving priority to patients with serious health issues. But this hospital wasn't even doing that. This was quite the experience, never coming back here again.
Spent a few days here recently. Facilities are old, need updating. Parking was hard to get during the daytime.
During our stay 1 of the 2 the elevator in C building was out of operation, so had to wait so long as the other elevator was full of people from other floors...
The student and residence doctor lacked compassion towards the patient.
Most worst experience was afterwards, getting a bill in the mail for phone services and phone calls --- but the room we had didn't even have a phone!
What a rip off and cheap way to take advantage of people...
Very rude registration staffs and nurses. They over charged me and when I spoke to the person at the registration they told me that I have to come next day during office hours for refund. It s their error and making us put extra efforts for refund of our money. Very bad experience and very rude staffs
My mom had a heart surgery and stayed in J Wing. I can't find the right words to describe how wonderful, passionate, and kind the staff are. Thank you for everything you do and thank you for what you did for my 76 yrs old mother. Everyone from the ICU to J wing were wonderful, caring, understanding and patient .. thank you from the bottom of my heart
I am not very comfortable at hosipital when I went for my ct scan I met nurse cathy and David both were amazing made me feel comfortable which helped me reduce my anxiety of machines I am claustrophobic and I wasn't even sure I could go thru the scan but thanks to these amazing people I could finish the scan
Your covid assessment process works like a scam. Instead of making it simple like other Hosiptals..you make ppl download thr app n etc.
Stay away from this hospital. I overheard one of the doctors, either Dr. Ray Lim or Dr. Ray Lee, whoever is the younger, make derogatory and racist suggestions to peers. I overheard him. Trillium Health Partners' hiring practices are lax, or they don't care that they hire racist and bias doctors who are taking care of multi-cultural patients. Stop hiring people you know or people who know people from the inside, because those standards are low. There is no room for doctors like this - in the ER or elsewhere. Healthcare professionals have to act like professionals, and adhere to the strict behavioral codes that being a licensed doctor entails. Doctors like these make a mockery of the profession.
Amazing staff and facilities. I was there on Sunday with lots of abdominal pain. It took a while to get seen in the emergency room but they were busy and the staff were very friendly and clearly working hard.
I had a nurse actually chase me out of the hospital. After politely declining morphine because it makes me unwell, she told me I was denying help and they couldnt do anything for me. I didnt realize there was nothing in between morphine and nothing. Sadly, after being in the hospital from 230-830pm, I left with no answers. They dont help you here. I'm home swollen, in pain, and no answers as to why I have extreme pain in my stomach. Please dont go here. Go literally anywhere else. Walk in doctors are better.
Both of my mom's eyes were burning (due to chemical burn) with such pain that she couldnt open her eyes. After visited the walk-in clinic, the doctor sent my mom to trillium without treatment. By the time we arrived at the Trillium, an hour and a half passed by and my mom lost her sights temporarily. After a long wait, we finally got to the registration.. and the lady was rude and impatient. Once we were in the Minor Treatment room, a nurse gave my mom a numbing solution to ease her eye pain. Unfortunately, it would only last 15 mins. We had waiting for another hour for the doctor to come, and he sais he needed to get the staff doctor. 2 hours passed by, the so-called staff doctor did some simple eye test and said she has to refer the case to eye specialist. Another 2 hours later, the nurse came and told us my mom has to go home for the night, and visit an eye clinic on the following day! My mom was in such pain, and the doctors were not able to tell us what is going on. Not even a word! When I stopped the staff doctor to ask what is happening, she was so rude and said she was also waiting and she walked away. At one point I heard she said to the other doctor that something in my mums eyes got peeled off! Can you imagine how scared and worried I was? Next thing I know, both doctors were nowhere to be found. As a visitor, my mom paid $670 and waited 5 hours to have 2 numbing solution and 1 eye wash that we could have got from any clinic. When we finally got to the eye institute the next morning, it only took 30 minutes before the doctor gave my mom treatment, and stop the pain almost instantly. My point is, going to Trillium was a complete waste of time, and made the situation worst if anything. Horrifying experience. The lady besides my mum, a 91 years old grandma that could not walk due to severe leg pain received no treatments whatsoever after waited for 3 hours. They just sent her home and asked her to come back 9am in the morning. I over heard that the poor lady had no one to take her to the hospital, and had to pay for non-emergency ambulance each time she visits a doctor. Another patient had to wait 5 1/2 hours to get transfer to Credit Valley in pain. Make me wonder, if all they do is to tell people to come back next day / referral, why do we even need them for? Never ever again. I would not even give it 1 star.
Doctors and staff are amazing, if a bit overworked. Unfortunately they are grotesquely understaffed, which means patients are left waiting for hours before they get assessed. And I do mean HOURS.
I walked in here a little after 4:30 pm and it looks like I should have banked on an overnight stay, as I'm still waiting to be x-rayed at 12:45 am. However, this is not the fault of hospital staff, it's because of patient volumes, which are horrifying. The staff at the hospital are stretched too thin, but they treated me like gold, regardless.
Thanks for getting me through this! Now back to waiting for the x-ray.
Emergency in trillium is handled by all half knowledge people. Had a very bad experience.
