A friend of mine went through horrible experiences here. Her grandmother was abused and had scrapes and bruises from a technician named Valerie. Also, when my mother was here and I went to visit her, the nurses were laughing at me and being very rude to me when I asked for directions because I was lost. I was already in distress and worried about my mom. I also encountered other rude nurses being very abusive to elderly patrons there. If something bad happens to you while there, speak out, otherwise avoid this location.

Worst service ever. Had severe pain and waited 6 hours, then the only 1 doctor give some pain killer that result even more serious allergy reaction. Nurses grouped and chatting, did nothing, no pay attention at all. Hope your family members sick and be treated like this too.
Very very bad service in emergency, Very rude nurses.. and they didnt even help or assisst or calm down your pain except by giving you pain killer and go home... they are treating peole by a bad way..shouting in my parents.. nurses are missrable.even the 1 star they did not desrve it at all.
My Kid was admitted for treating an eye infection. He was treated with utmost care. All the doctors and nurses (esp nursing staff Andrea ) of the Pediatric wing (5c) did their job with dedication. Thy were so kind and sweet. my son loved being there . Nicely maintained floors . Good food for the patients.Doctors were friendly and explained the treatment process very clearly and altogether, they made us feel comfortable when we were worried. I would recommend this hospital for Pediatric Care.
I want to thank all the Doctors, nurses and staff for doin an exceptional job at this hospital, especially at the Birthing suite and obstetric unit , the service was at the highest level of professionalism and well managed and caring staff members. Thank you very much and God bless you all.
Worst hospital ever! I wouldnt even give it one star. I told the triage nurse I have hyperthyroidism and she started giggling as if it was a joke. I felt so uncomfortable. I was registered and then sent into the waiting room in RAZ. I had told the triage nurse all my symptoms and when I spoke to the RAZ nurse my symptoms were all wrong. She made it sound like I had a normal usual cough and cold when it was actually my thyroid effecting my breathing...to the point where I couldn't breathe from my mouth and I was breathing with my nose only. THATS WHY I CAME TO THE HOSPITAL. I WAS UNABLE TO BREATHE! I was also dizzy and feeling nauseous. Five patients that registered AFTER me went before me and when I asked the nurse how much longer will it take she said "Another patient is next and then its your turn." I had been waiting for 3 hours! Not once was I called. I walked out without getting checked because the nurse I asked questions gave me so much attitude like "Its a busy day, either you can wait your turn or leave." I am never coming back to this disgusting, unorganized, rude hospital. They have no regard for their patients. Another lady was also complaining her way out of the hospital while I was being registered. I can see why she was. I am telling all my friends and family to never come here and if you want to save time please find a better hospital and dont come here. Its a serious suggestion. Also, just for those who need to know how ridiculous the nurses are, they talk SO MUCH. They are not doing their job. They dont care youre there. The day I went nurses were laughing and talking about texting someone the word "squirrel" how stupid and immature can you be??? GROW UP. I also overheard a male patient asking for assistance to use the washroom and the nurse kept brushing him off...eventually she lost it and said "SIR! I SUGGEST YOU TO SIT DOWN." And all he said was "Oh ok, thank you.." I kinda felt bad for him..I can go on and on about how this hospital is a nightmare...
The emergency staff are so rude Idk why they working with patients if they can t treat them good. I think if you can t work with patients that already going through pain or their family plz just find another career for yourself. And the management should give them some courses about how they treat patients
One Sunday in my life I was losing a baby and having a miscarriage with labour and pain, the lady in the emergency was shouting at me saying hurry up the technician came on Sunday for you and you are not moving fast ,she was so rude, mean, clueless should be working in a Bucher shop not in a hospital. This was a horrible experience.
More of a walk in than an ER. Under staffed. Extremely long wait times. Most patients come in with mild symptoms that can be treated by a family practitioner, while patients in critical conditions seeking emergency care are waiting hours to see a doctor.
So I've been to this hospital a few times myself Pretty decent care. Anyways my wife went to emergency and I we overheard how the residents or doctor is past the scheduled work hours.Or they have a child who's going to be up in a few hours and even to say that his time is being wasted, so a word of advice you got into this field to take care of people don't get upset over your career choice because you could be in the position of some of these people and needing care.
Went there for a an underlying condition...was in severe pain. They ran some tests after several hours of wait and then sent me home without any test results and said we will call you. A week later they called and said the tests somehow didnot go through. So please go see your family doctor and get them done again. If I had to see my family doctor ,why would I go to the ER in the first place.
I've always, always liked this hospital. They've always been kind, buy, last night I was there, and I didnt even get a blood draw, and even though I told the nurse, where it would be easier to get blood ( right vein). He refused to listen. Instead he poked me way lower than usual, and both arms, leaving bad bruises, swelling, and it turns out, no blood draw was needed. I have picture to prove.
The rapid assessment zone is an absolute terrible set up. People smushed into a tiny tiny waiting room, nurses coming and taking your blood pressure crammed beside people in one giant room. No order all chaos. Dirty
I have had reason to be in Trillium Queensway several times over the last year... Most reasent hot out Nov 21...2019... I was in ICU for 3 days then on regular floor for 4... EXCELLENT service....Everyone looked after me with kindness...respect...and courtesy.. Will continue to go as long as I live in area..m Well done
I wish I could rate this hospital zero stars. I recieved the worst care at Trillium hospital I am absolutely shocked and disgusted by the lack of care and professionalismn displayed by your porters and emergency staff. I was afmitted into your hospital last night with immense sharp pains in my chest. I got in around 11:00 pm and pretty routine service, I was seen in a timely manner no complaints 4 hours pretty ideal. Doctor explained to me I would need to come back within 24hours for a vq lung scan. I return back Trillium hospital in alot of pain struggling to keep up with and follow one of your information staff to the diaognostic check in. I basically cannot breath by the time I arrive at the desk. The women behind that desk were actually quiet attentive and accommodating and got me a wheel chair. I patiently wait two and a half hour for my vq lung scan. Afterwards I am back in my wheel chair a young brown hair Porter arrives asks my name and starts wheeling me down the hall she seemed very distracted socializing and joking around with other nurses on the way almost as if she couldn't be bothered by me. She stops in (final)emergency room where the night before I got my final results. She tells me to take a seat I questioned her about if they would have my results, she reassured me saying yes they were call me and rushed off. I wait a hour and a half noticing I haven't observed one doctor enter the waiting area I was in and not one nurse has even bothering to acknowledge my poor breathing and holding my chest . I observed a young woman with the emergency logo on the back of shirt dealing with other patients very non chalontly she actually discharged a young girl but didn't clarify the girl could leave so the girl waited a full hour to ask if she could be discharged and the same emergancy woman exclaimed she had told the girl she could go but Infact that wasn't the case I was sitting beside the girl and the emergancy women was very short and vague not communicating properly. In that same moment when she tried to rush away quickly I got her attention seeing as I could barely walk with out having extreme sharp pains on my chest. I asked the same women(emergancy) if she knew anything about my results if anyone did because noone has even spoken to me in a hour and a half. She brushed me off and said I should be called. 3 hours later I finally slowly and painfully walked up to the desk to ask because I finally saw doctors had shown up for the last hour and were calling people. I ask the same women (emergancy on back) sitting behind the desk now she looks at me confused and says I wasn't even in the system and would have to make my way to the front emergency triage. I explain I can barely walk without feeling intense sharp pains and I've gone throught the process gotten x-rays blood work and other test done and just need results and now have been waiting almost 6 hours and total. The women are VERY SHORT with me tell me sorry you'll have to start rite from the begining. They bring a wheel chair take me all the way back to the front desk and leave me there to roll my self up to a desk with another extremely rude front worker who tells me sorry you'll have to wait behind the 200 patients (it's now Friday night at 7:45) before me after I explained my situation to her. I am mortified by the lack of attention or considering it was the constant negligence of your staff. Now I am home with the pain in my chest because I felt like I was going to pass out and nobody gave a damn. I would actually never set foot back in this joke of hospital if it was up to me. But you have my results from my test and I was warned by your nursing staff you wouldn't release it elsewhere. So at 3 am tonight I'll be heading back to this diacrace of a hospital to recieve terrible health care once again. I would never in a million years refer anyone to your hospital where you for the most part have disgustingly rude staff. Your emergancy staff simply just don't care and have no patience and should not be ever working in health care.
Stay away from this hospital and look for a different hospital if you require maternity services. We had very unpleasant experience l staff during our inpatient stay. There was no response from hospital even after I brought it to their notice via email and feedback form.
I had my baby there and the anesthesiologist was not available to give me the epidural. They didn't offer me any type of adequate pain relief. It was very painful, they should let you know ahead of time if this sort of thing can happen. I won't be going there again. I sent in my birthing plan and it was obvious that they hadn't looked at it at all, why bother sending one in then?
My father's heart surgery was scheduled for 730am. Its 3hrs later and I'm we are still sitting in the waiting room. Nurses told me they dont know where the dr is
Pediatrics Mississauga Hospital at Queensway. On August 31, 2019 my son and I went to emergency at Trillium Health Partners - Queensway Health Center. After taking blood tests, urine and abdominal ultrasound for my son, we were sent to a hospital in Mississauga with suspected appendicitis. We arrived at the hospital around 11 p.m. At all times, we were informed about the progress, the tests and further plans. My husband stayed in the room with our son during the night. Our son had a surgery the next morning performed by Dr. Rai, whom we thank very much for professionalism and great professional care. I spent the second day and night in the hospital with my son. The pediatric section of the hospital is renovated, clean and child-friendly. The nurses were very nice, they kept telling us what was going on, what examinations were carried out. They were even asking if painkillers were needed. At night, they assisted my son to the washroom, so I could sleep. We would like to thank all the employees, nurses of the Pediatric Ward at the Mississauga Hospital and Dr. Rai for wonderful care. PS. the hospital offers children many DVD movies, as well as Wii;) My son didn t want to leave. ******* 31.08.2019 byli my z synem na ostrym dy urze w Trillium Health Partners - Queensway Health Centre. Po zrobieniu bada krwi, moczu i USG brzucha skierowano nas do szpitala w Mississauga z podejrzeniem zapalenia wyrostka robaczkowego.
Chcieliby my podzi kowa za wspania opiek wszystkim, pracownikom Oddzia u Pediatrycznego szpitala w Mississauga i doktorowi Rai.
Today we lost our baby .. one of nurses refused to help my wife while she was pleeding and no one else can do any thing before her.. finally after almost 2 hours of bleeding the baby died or killed by here ..i will file my official complent .. I want see this women at court and she have to give a reason why she did that? My baby blood must be return by justice.
My wife washospitalized 4 tlimes with life threating. Doctors team done fantastic job. When ever we need help doctors and staff always there.she was sent home with any problem.
Horrible treatment and experience came in at 8 months pregnant because of bleeding and they didn t even check me one nurse was very nice but the doctor was rude they made me take off my pants just to not check me and they told me they were going to explain to me early labour feelings and didn t just told me go home.
Great hospital. Everyone on here complaining about ER wait times just don't understand how hospitals work. If you are waiting well good news, you probably aren't dying. So sit down and wait because there are more important patients that they have to attend to. Also everyone bashing on the nursing staff for being "lazy" or just "there for their paycheque" need to really reevaluate their lives, these nurses go through hell attending to their patients, and when they seem lazy to you maybe they just lost a patient or just spent hours saving a life but they still find the energy to deal with all these annoying people complaining about now getting seen fast enough because their tummy hurts. If you think it is such a bad hospital then don't go. Go to school for 4 years, become a nurse and take care of your own runny nose.
If I could put a 0 review I would. Emergency care was rude and unhelpful. Waited for hours to see anyone. They have no ability to prioritize patients. Overall horrible experience. The only good thing about this hospital is the location. If you can go elsewhere I would highly recommend it.
Very rude staff, and long wait times, after we visited step 2 which was registeration and I got my chart was told to put it into this slot which I did and then a volunteer told us if we need anything and I just asked where should I sit and she just said and pointed to the chairs right next to the slot, 45mins after my mom and I sitting there one of the registration staff yelled across the room to the volunteer tell that women to move she is blocking the slot (which we weren t) so my mother moved over because she was closer to the slot than me, and then she continues to yell the same sentence over, so I move my chair over more, lastly she yelled again this being her 4th/5th time drawing so much attention to my mom and I even though we were a good half a meter away now, so I just walked away to the huge seating area, and then the lady approached my mother who was sill sitting there oh are you just sitting here for fun . Very unimpressed with the staff and volunteers and their rude manners and not mentioning having to wait 4 hours for a broken nose. Do not go to this place.
My sister did her C- section with Dr.rebecca menzies, she is profficianal helpful. All stuff in Trillium hospital amazing ,helpful, taking care for the patient and smiling
care of the elderly isn't existing at this hospital except for personal care by the PSW. The specialist gives bad news over the phone. 2 follow up appointments were never kept. Incorrect information is given to referral physicians in other hospitals and retirement homes.
Is this place a hospital or a resort ?? The most caring staff; that treat everyone like their own family. Everything about the place from The dietitian and the good food.. to how spotless everything is.... Nurses , doctors everyone that works at the Trillium truly care. I can't say it enough. Let's face it no one wants to go to any Hospital but if you have to..... this is the only one you should go to.
Pretty quick service. My dad was transferred from one Trillium to another. Within days he got 5 stents. The nurses in the Coronary Care Unit were all amazing. They all took great care of my dad. The Surgeon after the first procedure came and explain everything to us. He looks like he really cared, and not just doing his job.
Awful experience my daughter and my family have lost all faith in this hospital as well as it s partner urgent care This hospital does irreversible damage to not only my child but my family as well If you want your kids to have a proper treatment and plan I would stay as far away from trillium hospitals as you can
Great food options, although a little pricey. They have a 2 tims, a starbucks, a convenience store, a crepe store, japanese, middle eastern and cafeteria style restaurants. Nice facility overall. There will be an expansion in the coming years.
worst hospital ever. simply the staff has absolutely NO experience and very rude. My sister was pregnant and she was bleeding and they left her waiting for almost 2 hours till she miscarriages her baby in the washroom because of the waiting time. so stupid system we have in our stupid hospitals.
No sign of social distancing in ER HAIZ where patients sit directly next to each other, waiting for discharge or further testing. Nobody cleans these chairs either or is there anything available for patients to clean it themselves. Compassion is also lacking in ER.
Visually impaired grand father was treated great by night nurses they are amazing super helpful, and will update you on best of their knowledge. I praise all medical staff!!!
Trillium Health Partners does a good job at setting a good standard of health care. However, this specific hospital has notable issues in its psychiatric facility, mainly: guards that flip patients in solitary with the middle finger, forceful undressing, as well as unwarranted searches and seizures.
I don t care what any one says. I ve had to use this hospital 3 times so far and every time has been a wonderful experience. 1st time my my son broke his arm at 12 yrs old. He was taken care of with the upmost care! I was so impressed when my father came Sick he ended up there after being at Humber which was a nightmare hospital. It was night and day as soon as we got him into Trillium. He s been treated with dignity, respect and love by all the staff, nurses and doctors. My fathers last days will be spent here and I m so grateful for the staff at this hospital to make my loving fathers last time on this earth comfortable
Thank you to the amazing staff at Trillium!!! You ve made my family somewhat ease at this sad time knowing my Dad is in good caring hands
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! My Daddy thanks you too!!
The triage nurse - emergency, was incredibly rude. Although, my family physician provided with an envelope advising the urgency of my case, the nurse stated that all doctors send people to the hospital for anything. My BP was 230 and with symptoms of stroke. After 13 hours, with no medication and truly no care, I was told to go home and take my medication. I was referred to the Stroke prevention Clinic because I did have stroke indeed. The nurses, for the most part are incredibly rude, unprofessional and uncaring. You may find one or two that are kind but because it is so rare, you truly remember their names ( Irene!& Maria). I have a theory about this, the nurses are truly in control and the power goes to their head, there is no supervision, and only one doctor that becomes overwhelmed. The funding is less and they are not happy with their job. However, when I went to the Stroke Clinic, Dr. Disai was very good at explaining my situation, knowledgeable, caring, and the personnel there changed my opinion about the place.
terrific service, one of the best hospital i have ever visited. spent a week on med unit service was excellent all question was answered in a manner i expected to the nurses, and pca. did a awesome job. Thanks
From the time my husband arrived at Trillium, we were amazed at the kind, caring and professional treatment he received. Dr. Basra and Dr. McKenzie tried to discern the reason for the stroke. The therapists, nurses and even the cleaning staff went out of their way to be helpful. No one wants to be in the hospital, but if you need expert care, Trillium Mississauga is the place to be.
One of the best hospital in GTA I ve ever been to. My baby girl was born here. The staffs of 3D birthing suit are super supportive, well experienced and very friendly. They treated me and my wife as their own relatives. Last but not least, we are really thankful to Dr. Bhangu and his team. They are super talented and very friendly. They are like special trained forces. We salut you guys. Thank you so much trillium mississauga.
I was just in emergency last night and have to say the nurses I had and the Doctor were so great and empathetic. This includes in triage when i passed out, she just knew what to say and do and they took care of me ASAP. I felt they really treated me like a human being and I really appreciate that. The only thing that was a bit odd was when they had to get me to my ultrasound and needed a wheelchair (after fainting!), the first nurse who was asked (male nurse) exclaimed loudly that he was on break on a double shift and that she should not be bothering him.
I was so impressed with the care and service I received here yesterday. I started off my day at Queensway hospital and was seen promptly. I was having chest pains... like my heart was on fire and in a vise. I had a portable chest X-ray done right away in emergency. Then Dr. Atria came and said they were transferring me to Mississauga for a CT scan. The two EMT s that transported me were very kind and funny. I can t believe how smoothly and quickly everything went. After the CT Scan I was told I would need an ultrasound. Again, I was wheeled off very quickly for that. Chris was the technician and made me feel comfortable even though I had to pee really bad. My charge nurse was Jessica and what a ball of fire! Very efficient. Turns out I have an infected gall bladder and it will eventually need surgery. Dr. Tassis gave me a prescription for an antibiotic and pain killers and I was on my way. From the time I arrived at Queensway hospital and left Mississauga was about 8 hours. It may seem a lot but I couldn t believe how much was done in that time. Thank you for taking such good care of me!
The waiting to be screened in this hospital's ER is way too long 2.5hrs+. The line up is long because THP has closed down their hospital nest Sherway Gardens "to have space for COVID patients" , therefore the people have to go to the Missiddaiga branch which will be crowded.
Another bad experience with the Healthcare ralated department. People here lack professionalism. They just can't be a little polite with the patient. People go to hospitals with worries. Nurses singing songs and laughing while watching videos on their phone. Doctor disscussing problems with the patient infront of others leaving them with no privacy. Registration department is rude as well. They all are working in Healthcare to collect fat paychecks, not to help the patients.
Worst hospital ever. I fractured my ankle and they kept me in a room for 2 hours without any supervision, I got cramps and my pain was getting severe and yet no one was there to look after me. Even the nurses were so rude. Will never recommend it to anyone.
My husbands niece gave birth and we wanted to come in and check on her and we were not allowed, the nurse was so not helpful claiming that this is not a priority and that she has other deliveries to deal with, all what I had asked her is to go in quickly to check on my husbands niece. Very bad service and vet rude with no way of talking back and forth to her. She just wanted to be rude and talk telling me to leave.
After being here for several long stays, I can comment on a few things: if you are pregnant you will get pretty good service, and so will your baby. If you are in emergency, it's going to be rough. This hospital is way beyond its capacity and staffing to be able to effectively serve Mississauga. There are not enough beds, and there is not enough staff, but this is a similar story for many other inner city hospitals. Based on my observations: the doctors and staff do not have enough time to give the best service to everyone. This hospital could really use more funding/income for expansion/staff to help lift the quality of service.
This review is written about the Trillium Urgent Care Centre at 150 Sherway Drive.
I've been to Trillium Queensway a handful of times, mostly small fractures or sinus infections. But when I went yesterday, February 18th, 2015, it was the WORST. I had already gone to a family doctor with a really bad chest infection that had resulted in a rib injury. I was told to put something between the underwire of my bra and my chest so I used a tensor bandage, wrapped very lightly to avoid the risk of getting pneumonia. She said judging by my breathing and my pain that I had cracked a rib so she gave me an antibiotic and told me to take what I had been using, percocet, left over from a previous surgery. She said if it continued, to go to my family doctor or trillium if the pain got worse or if my infection persisted. Anywhoo, fast forward a week and a half, it hurts to lean back, to lie down, I'm unable to sleep properly due to pain, and my mom has to help me put my shirts on in the morning. I finally drag myself to Trillium after sneezing that morning and getting sharp, shooting pain in my chest. The wait times were totally fine, I was taken in to put on a gown within 25 mins. However, when I said I had a hard time getting dressed, the nurse scoffed at me and said to "do your best" so I managed to get my coat and one of my shirts off but not my bra or tensor bandage. She yelled at me and spoke to me like I was stupid for wearing a tensor bandage around my ribs because I could get pneumonia, which I had explained to her, was why I was wearing it loosely upon request of another physician. She pulled it off (velcro) quite roughly, which hurt my ribs. The doctor came in and poked my back, hard, so I naturally cried out in pain. I was sent for an X-ray. I looked at the referral sheet on which they had made errors on the following: - incorrect emergency contact number - incorrect place of employment - incorrect side of body injury was on.
After my X-ray, which was hard because I couldn't lift my arms, I was sent back up to urgent care to wait. The doctor yelled my name twice in a short period of time because I couldn't make it to her fast enough and then she sighed as I finally got there clutching my ribs. She said nothing was wrong, no crack, no nothing and that I was clearly exaggerating my pain. She refused to show me the XRay and then told me to go home and take a Tylenol.
I don't trust this hospital as far as I can throw it now. Especially since last time my mother had a fractured rib, they sent her home and said she was fine, only to get a phone call from a technician later that evening confirming that she had a cracked rib and the doctor missed it looking at the XRay. Be careful if you go here and don't be afraid to ask for a second opinion.
Canada should stop bragging about their health care system because this place absolutely sucks, the nurses are so rude i just ask for directions that idiotic nurse called MK was like go that way in such a rude tone wow
I understand why some people gave a 1-star rating; I would ve done the same a few years ago. But recently, I had a medical emergency and was desperate. I ve had several very bad experiences before at this hospital and after reading the reviews, prepared for the worst.
I went to the Trillium ER in Mississauga recently and while there was a line up, it does move, and the nurse will evaluate you upon registering. If your condition is critical, you will be prioritized. That s fair to me. It also helped that I was upfront and fully disclosed my condition which helped speed up the process.
While I had to wait, nurses provided instructions and details on what will be done to have an accurate diagnosis. They also provided status updates and told me how long the wait times would take for each procedure and the next steps. They don t mind if you follow-up if you sense it s taking long. The nurses and attendants where patient, respectful and kind.
Yes, there was hallway medicine but I saw the doctors treat and talk to the patients with care. They re doing the best they can with what they have. I understand. I also noticed an ER doctor calling to follow up on his patients to ensure they re ok, taking the prescribed meds and asking for their well-being. I was lucky enough to have this same doctor (Dr. P. Channan) attend to me. He read the results, my medical history, and asked me again. Very through. He also spotted the problem (which the other doctors didn t) and provided a reassuring prognosis. He also prescribed the right meds, gave a printout of my condition and explained how to take care of my health. He even discussed recovery period and aftercare. I was impressed with his skill, sincerity and calmness.
I was out of the ER in a matter of hours. Considering the condition I was in before I was admitted, I d say they re good and I m happy to see the improvements. Thanks again, Dr. Channan.
Worst emergency department! Doctor did not give attention and was clearly rushing. He misdiagnosed a very common health issue and upon return on the next day, the service and attention was even worse. I am definitely not returning there and I don't recommend to anyone.
Went to Trillium Hospital's emergency after an X-Ray was returned to my family doctor.
Waited with family members in Emergency for 9 hours before I was given a bed. Don't get too excited, the bed was then wheeled down to the end of a hallway where I was left adjacent to a screaming senior's patients room and an obvious mental patient's for the evening.
The new wing is bright, clean and modern, I happen to walk through it and was quickly escorted out by a terse nurse who seemed to have "extra time" to follow me back to my ward like South Africa during the apparttied
Most of the nurses seem to care about their patients and professions and everybody is overworked . Sadly, only a squeaky wheel gets greased; unless I was insistent, I was ignored.
Surgeon Dr. Adam Mohammad is world class. He followed up with numerous post surgical visits and monitored my pain and progress, expertly.
Surgeon prescribed a strong narcotic for me post surgery - including the time between intervals. If I were smiling or if I had just shaved, night nurses would not administer the prescribed pain medications and only bring Tylenol, only after complaints to my visiting surgeon was this behaviour changed.
Nurse Irene on the second floor left me to sleep in a vomit filled bed and gown, as punishment for family members complaining about her lack of attention to detail. When she eventually answered the call bell her reply was "your mother is coming back in the morning, she'll do it" Nurse Gemma was a piece of work too. These two were nightmarish exceptions, the other nurses were wonderful.
Food service was appalling. Tim Hortons has a monopolistic agreement with all of the hospitals in the GTA, so visiting families will be well caffinated. Recovering patients however can look forward to 80's nutrition standards such as canned Tuna smeared onto White Wonderbread, a Jello cup or apple sauce and a Ginger Ale.
Note: nurses and staff commiserate and joke about patients, a higher level professionalism should be maintained regarding pacient confidentiality.
Clean. dear Lilah, the cleaning lady from Newfoundland made my stay more bearable with her high standards professionally and quick east coast wit and humour.
Nurse Celestina is also a godsend. Best if the lot. Head nurse Sandy also runs a tight ship. Top notch, nothing gets past her watchful eye.
Unbelievablely, Trillium Hospital was 4 star compared to Credit Valley Hospital.
Oh my god. I already hate being at hospitals ALLLLLLLL the staff I en countered were SOOO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. They all clearly hate their jobs !. I had an appointment at 9.am that I got a letter in the mail 2 weeks before not describing where to go or what I had to do. I got there at 8.30am registered and then waited a hour before I built up the courage to even talk to the staff. This one woman wouldn't even look at me no eye contact what- so -ever aND I was being sweet and nice to her just asking for help. ... I then was told my appointment was switched to 10.20 am. .. ? I waited until 10.50am to ask another woman when I will be in she said at 10.20 am is my appointment I said no I was origianally scheduled for 9am she was so rude and rudely asked to see my letter I showed her. I am stilll waiting ... what a bunch of rude unprofessional people here if I knew I was going to be referred to this place I would have just dug out my own cyst out of my arm instead of being here with ugly personality people. I can't wait to get out of here this place is a joke. I wish there was a no star rating because I'd give them ZERO STARS
Unfortunately I am beginning to be a frequent visitor with my 95 year old mother. Everyone is kind, patient and caring from the registration desk to the nurses and Dr. It is very stressful for me and their care and support helps me tremendously as my mum. My only issue is receiving a call at the home number when I specifically asked to be called on my cell as my mother just bungles messages.
Don't know where to start with this hospital. the staff is depressed and has poor communication skills, long wait time for a half empty emergency room and many other issues.
1. Why you wait so long: Busy hospital (lots of patients) and your emergency is not prioritized if not critical. There is a queue of people mainly because people over react and rush into emergency for simple cases. Heres a simple fix: Go to a clinic and pay $. 2. Yes you pay tax dollars, but so do we. Guess we're both paying for our job? You do you know hospital budgets have been cut? 3. Our staff is fine, youre probably just a grumpy patient. What? You expect people to still be nice to you when youre rude? No. Health care professionals are human beings but we all know how to give quality patient care through years of education. 4. IF YOU WANT TO COMPLAIN AND WANT CHANGES, COMPLAIN TO THE GOVERNMENT. THE GOVERNMENT FUNDS HOSPITALS. IF THERES NOT ENOUGH DOCTORS, THERE IS NOTHING TRILLIUM CAN DO. DOCTORS ARE HIRED AND PAID BY THE GOVERNMENT.
I've worked in the healthcare field for 7 years, in NY. I have dealt with numerous hospitals and numerous staff members who have all bent over backwards to help my patients. My father was admitted into Trillium and I have had the displeasure of dealing with multiple staff members here, including the social workers. They are the rudest, abrupt, cold hearted people I have ever encountered within the health field. They literally lack any compassion at all for either the patients or their worried family members. They make zero efforts to help family members, especially during this most trying and difficult COVID times! I suppose this is what socialist healthcare amounts to. It is now apparent that, barely beneath the surface of the pretentious "nice" facade, these Canadians that I have encountered, are cold hearted and nasty.
I arrived at the Emergency Room, and after 8 hrs, having been seen by 3 different doctors, I was given a range of medical conditions that I might have had, none of them even close to what I had and I spent 30 more days in pain. Only people that seem to sometimes care are at reception and triage, a few nurses and a handful of doctors. I am rating 2 stars because on a previous ER visit I actually had a heart attack and I, obviously, recovered but I had to endure a few mean nurses. I know veterinary technicians that treat their animal patients better. Some doctors are just clueless about customer service and compassion. Wait times could be more tolerable if they had better dedication to their patients.
Worst hospital EVER!!! 1: The triage and RAZ nurses combined don't have the brains God gave cement!!! They are rude and incompetent. Spent all their time gossiping and making fun of patients in their care. I would have received better treatment in a Russian Gulag than in Trillium hospital at queensway. 2: The hospital is filthy. Have they ever heard of hot water, soap and elbow grease?! 3: You wait FOREVER to have an xray. I sat and waited over 3 hours while people who came hours after me kept going ahead of me. Overall I wouldn't take my worst enemy to this hospital!!!
No clear instructions on how to go get tested. Followed the directions/arrows, led me to a roundabout with no staff present (during open hours) and no person answering the phone number provided.
Very polite people in the front I ve gone to the ER a few times and have been a Handled with respect and care.
The wait times may be long some days ; but that s expected in the city of mississauga. The doctors there take their time and let you leave knowing you ll be alright .
Worse hospital EVER worse doctors worse staff everyone seems very inexperienced they are very rude and wait times are ridiculous nurses are rude and aggressive with patients Dr is very rude didn't even take time to probably make a diagnosis and didn't even wanna bother to do blood work I had to insist cause my mother the patient has 2 serious illnesses diabetic and schizophrenic and is on many medications so yes blood work is NECESSARY!! I will file an official complaint on how unprofessional the staff here is and how bad the customer service is..
