I attended the fracture clinic recently. The clerical assistants, namely Carla and Sam, were the most considerate, helpful, professional and committed people I ve ever had to connect with. While I was in pain and confused, they helped me deal with a very difficult situation: the first people you meet in a crisis are the most important because that s who you remember. Sam, especially, helped me sort out a situation where I was panicking and tearful, and she solved things not only professionally but in a very short time. I am so grateful. I cannot, unfortunately, similarly praise the attending orthopaedic surgeon, who not once made eye contact with me, failed to introduce himself and left me very confused about future treatment options as he hurried through the appointment. Sam saved the day for me.
