Extremely mediocre detailing job. Within 2 seconds of glancing at the interior of the car upon completion of the detailing I could see dirt and dust In the center console/ cup holders and dog slobber on the leather seats. That s what I brought it to be cleaned for...? Mind you this was after they had been working on the car for nearly 5 hours. There was still dirt and sand on the carpet near the gas pedal. After mentioning these issues they attempted to clean it again and it was obviously dirty after the second attempt. I keep the car clean, regularly wiping down the surfaces in between getting it detailed every few months so it should not have been such a difficult task. I was baffled. I had the paint touched up before my appointment so I explicitly requested (a few times) to please DO NOT touch or wash the exterior of the car to allow time for the paint to dry. They went ahead and did wash the exterior of the car.

This was my very first experience at a Honda for vehicle maintenance. The service was excellent. There is a nice, clean waiting area with a good variety of beverages, where I could Relax as I waited. WiFi is a bonus too.

I came into the old (used car) store on a Thursday; I walked into test drive a hybrid and the guy did not come with me at all. He just gave me the keys and told me to take it for a spin. This was a bummer as I was hoping to have some questions answered. I got ahold of my friend Max that works at the new store, he came right over and answered all of my questions. On top of that I did not end up liking the hybrid. Max had patience with me and helped me find the car of my DREAMS!! Max is wonderful and knows how to get you what you want. I appreciated his help a lot.

Tom Kadlec Honda in Rochester was extremely helpful, patient and dedicated in helping me buy my first car. When I decided what kind of car I was looking for they had a dealer work with me to find my perfect car, in my price range. He would informed me of recently acquired used vehicles they had just received in that would be of interest to me. Until I finally picked the one that was just right for me. I loved working with the staff at the Rochester Honda dealership they made buying my first car, simple, fun and I can safely drive my car knowing that Tom Kadlec reliability in their vehicles.

I had a horrible experience at this dealership. The customer service was lacking to say the least. I purchased a remote start and had them install it. I
They said it would take 3 hours. I showed back up 3 hours later and it wasn't even started. They stated they ordered the wrong part and gave me a car to use (the only positive part). I was called about 2-3 hours later and came to pick up my car. I paid and they gave me my keys and said there was a card in the car to explain the remote start. There was no card so I had to back in and wait for them to bring it to me. After 4 days of messing with it I found out that 1 of two keys was a 1 way key and the other was a 2 way key. Thanks for explaining the system you sold me! I am flabbergasted that they did not explain the 2 keys and how they look the same but are different. Thanks YouTube for helping me out when this dealership dropped the ball. Total spent was about $530.

The service department has really gone downhill si...

The service department has really gone downhill since they relocated. They did a brake fluid change, and a tire change and realignment on two separate occasions within a month without checking to see if my brake pads were warn down. After getting the car back post tire change (and having to wait an hour and a half at the end of the day because the job that was supposed to be done in the morning wasn't finished until 6pm at night), something didn't feel right with the brakes. I brought the car back and they said my brake pads were warn out and they had damaged my rotors. I asked them why they didn't check that a month ago when they did work on my car. They responded that they don't check that. So be aware they don't check to see if your brakes work after any brake fluid or tire change maintanance. After paying $300 bucks for this, a day later I noticed my brakes started smelling like they were burning. Due to the previous problem a caliper had broken. They charged me another $300 to fix that. And when we mentioned all this to them they just said and I quote "yup". No apologies, not once for any of this. Don't go here. It is unsafe and has become very unprofessional!

Worst customer service in parts department ever. Don't buy new from here unless you want to receive bad customer service when you come back and need parts down the road. The salespeople are also not as nice and helpful as Subaru, and that's coming from an Acura owner.

My overall experience at Tom Kadlec was great and the atmosphere at the dealership was very welcoming and laidback, but A.j. Kohn was the main reason I had such positive and enjoyable visit. I find that shopping for a new vehicle can get overwhelming and stressful, but A.j. made sure to answer all of my questions and took into account everything I was looking for in a vehicle, providing me with the perfect car!

As always, Dennis Thompson was extremely helpful and answered all questions very well. Servicing was prompt, efficient and well done, and the price was reasonable. Waiting area is comfortable. What is striking is that EVERY service appointment at Tom Kadlec Honda is similarly good.

Buying a new car is like buying a new house for first the time. However, with a help with Andy Gostomczik at the Tom Kadlec Honda I have nothing to worry about purchasing my new 2017 Honda Civic Type R. Andy was a great salesperson and have knowledgeable about the vehicle that I will be purchasing. He was very well informed, very helpful and keep me updated when the vehicle will be arriving at their dealership, so I can be the first person to see the vehicle. I give Andy Gostomczik and Tom Kadlec Honda a 100% customer service and a clean place to buy new or used vehicles.

We had a great experience with Paul Cushman at Tom Kadlec in Rochester. I called him on a Saturday right before closing time and within a week we were driving home a new Accord Sport 2.0. We told Paul what we were looking for and he was texting me info right away and we got in on a great lease deal on 2018 NEW Accords. He was willing to even stay late to help us out on a couple of occasions during the week. We love the car and feel great about our decision. Thank you.

The service prices at Tom Kadlec Honda are extremely high. I ve checked around and other places in town are less than 1/2 the price. Also, the people at the Service Desks at Tom Kadlec are not helpful at all. They just try to sell you more unnecessary repairs at extremely high prices. I will NOT be back.

Bad experience, very similar to what Mr. Brian said in his review. I expected something more from a big and reputable name as Honda.

Last week, I scheduled a service appointment for a factory recall for our CR-V. I was given an appointment at this Saturday. The appointment was my first time in this Honda service provider. Dropped off the CRV at 8 am, and advisor said me the car would be done by at most 12 (noon). I said let's be in a safer side, and ask for a shuttle service bring me back there at 1 pm, to just give them one extra hour and make sure the car be ready at that time. I then took shuttle to/from home, returned with my family at 1:30pm instead. I should say our family had planned something for the Saturday afternoon and already accounted for our car. We waited for a couple of minutes as the service advisor said he should check to see whether our CRV is ready or not. He got back to me and said "we did not do anything on your car until now"!!!!!. They said sorry, and I was told that by them that I may have two options: 1) stay there for an hour and half so they can START working on the car!!!!, or 2) re-schedule for another appointment and bring the car again!!!!!!

We said to the service advisor, okay, if the car was not ready, why did you send us the shuttle? No answer!!! I said, you knew that the car was not ready, and you did not even touch it, so why you did not call ms/us to inform me before hand that the car is not ready for pick up? No answer!!! I said, you have at least two phone numbers from us, you were able to give us a short call at least, so we can re-plan our afternoon. No answer!!! Is that a difficult stuff to just give us a short call?! Don't think so. Did they respect their customer time, at least my family time/day?! We don't think so. I don't know, not sure, maybe because it was a kind of FREE recall service, they ignored us easily to focus on other stuff instead. This is what we did think, if you have an appointment you expect the work to be done! But they showed we were wrong!!!

Honestly, it was an extremely total waste of my family time and the mileage!!!!!! My wife, our daughter, and me myself, experienced a bad day with them. They left a bad impression.

Financing personnel are a joke, we purchased a Ford Edge back in December 2018 and ended up refinancing through our bank which was not the problem. I talked to whoever in financing and he said I have to fax over some form or letter and they would be cancel the GAP insurance and there was no cancelation fee for doing so. A few months go by and I call back and say what s going on I still haven't received my check. The person at the dealership said that the GAP insurance was canceled a couple weeks ago. Now mind you I send them this letter two plus months or so prior this phone call. I knew something was up so I called the GAP insurance company and they said that the GAP insurance was canceled the day of my phone call with the dealership to find out where my check was. I don t like being lied to, and on top of it I missed out on $50 worth of my GAP refund because they didn t do their job. I talked to the GM at the dealership and they said that I would be getting a check for the $50 that I was shorted due to their screw up but have never received one. Thumbs down. Still waiting on a return email that I sent to the dealership. Won t be going back there!

Had an 0900 appt for an oil change 5/29/18. Drove from an hour away for my appt. , checked in at 0850. Sat til 1015 and then was told that they hadn t even started the service yet. They didn t offer to get it in right away. I asked for the service manager and he was unavailable. I will take my Honda maintenance elsewhere.........today is 6/5/18. After being assured that the manger (Brad Andersen) would contact me at the time if this incident at the dealer. ....and also leaving him a voicemail with my contact info and compliant, Still no call, no email, nothing ! Now I m just done with this shifty outfit. Next vehicle purchase will not be at TKH and my service money will go elsewhere.

I had a really great experience. I called and asked them what could be wrong with my car. They told me it was probably my battery. I had it jumped, drove straight to the dealership. They tested my battery and ended up replacing it. All in less the an hour.

My car buying experience at Tom Kadlec Honda was overall a good experience. Andy Gostomczik was the salesman who helped me throughout the process and he did an excellent job providing answers to each of my many questions. Our communications were via email for more than 80% of the process (Which is something everyone should do prior to buying a car). Andy was very flexible and accommodating to each of my concerns. I don't believe he forgot anything I asked him to do upon the conclusion of the sale either. Andy also was very willing to provide any assistance when we set up my new car. Overall a great experience.

You may ask about the reason why I only gave 4 stars. It is due to a previous experience a couple months ago with another salesman. That experience was painful but was also the reason why emailing about a car inquiry is the way to go. A person can cut out the sales pitch and get down to business via email.

TLDR; Work with Andy and he'll make sure you are happy!

We have been driving Honda s since 1993. In the past we drove Ford, Toyota, and Nissan as well. My purchasing relationship with Tom Kadlec Honda started when I met Andy Gostomczik in 2010. We didn t need an introduction to Honda vehicles at the time and our objective was fair and straight forward pricing, patience, respect, friendliness, sincerity, and informative customer service ready to do what it takes to satisfy the customer. Since 2010 we bought 3 vehicles from Tom Kadlec, including 2017 CRV last week. Working with Andy was again the most exceptional and accommodating experience person can have.

Very, very disappointed in the customer service. I purchased a used a truck from these guys about a month ago. Drove almost 2 hours to test drive the truck a few days prior to purchasing it. There were a few things wrong with it (burnt passenger mirror due to the heating element and the driver side wiper blade did not work) which were to be fixed when I went back to finalize and pick up a few days later. Everything seemed fine until I got home with truck. I never received my 31 day permit, the driver side wiper blade still didn t work and I noticed the driver side mirror was burnt up. I called 4 times that day ( Saturday ) because I knew they were closed Sunday and I wanted to know something was in the works whether they send the permit to me via mail or send me a picture or whatever. The first time I called I left a voice mail. the second and third time I called talked to my salesmen twice about it and he said he was busy with a customer and he would call me back before they closed. He never did call me back. The last time I called which was before 5, they just flat out didn t pick up. So I called again Monday and talked to the manager this time. I told him what was going on and he said he was going to talk to another manager and call me back. In the mean time I received a phone call from one of their mechanics asking about the issues with the truck. I told him about the wiper blade not working and he pretty much said to go to a local shop and see if they can figure out the issue for me.he also told me he was mechanic to work on it before I picked it up and that they didn t replace the passenger mirror assembly but just the glass on the mirror with another glass piece from a used truck on their lot. That upset me because they were supposed to fix the wiper blade and put a brand new mirror assembly on ( was supposed to be painted to match) before I picked up the truck in the first place. Manager called me back and I told him about that. He seemed upset about it. I also told him about my drivers side mirror and said I know it wasn t part of the original agreement but can you help me out? He said oh ya totally we will get you brand new mirrors. They sent a driver up to pick my truck up that day and leave a loaner car. Totally awesome but they got my truck with a full tank of gas and I got the loaner with less than a 1/4 tank. That s fine whatever. Get my truck back a few days later with less than 1/4 tank of gas and 300 miles more. It s 150 mile round trip at most from my place to theirs so they put and extra 150 miles on my truck some how. To add insult to injury the only thing they fixed was the wiper blade. They didn t fix my drivers mirror (still burnt) and they didn t put a new mirror assembly on the passenger side because it still has rust spots on the white cover. I was told that the white cover was not removable and that the new mirror would have to be painted to match the color of the truck. So knowing that, how could there be a little rust spot on the white cover if they had to paint the new one to match?

Long story short I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone looking to buy new or used. Or even lease for that matter. I would have gone somewhere else and I should have but I was looking for a very specific truck and the one they had that I was buying had more than what I was looking for with super low miles so it was hard to pass it up. Don t ever go there. They don t even deserve a star.

I highly recommend Tom Kadlec! The sales person I worked with was Brian and he was great. Most important to me was that he never pressured us into making a purchase, seeing cars we weren t interested in, or trying to make us see cars out of our price range. He had the cars we were interested in all lined up and ready for us when we arrived. He was also very knowledgeable about the cars we saw, which was impressive as we were looking at used cars so they were all different makes. I can definitely say his service was outstanding because we had previously been to two different dealerships and they kept pressuring us to see vehicles out of our price range and one dealership the sales person knew nothing about the vehicles. But after those frustrating experiences I m glad we ended up at Tom Kadlec.

Neal Moen was our sales representative and he was excellent. He was willling and able to assist with all aspects of the car buying process. I love the car! And Tom`s is one great dealership, have purchased 3 vehicles from them over 20 years am sure will continue for the next 20. The good lord willing for both us and Tom`s. And don`t forget Neal`s got the deals stop and ask this really great guy to help you find what`s right just for you.

Found their ad on autotrader for a 2018 Honda Civic Type R listed for
$34,990. I thought it was too good to be true so I called just to make sure before making the hour and half drive there. My mistake, not writing down the name of the incompetent male sales human being I spoke with on the phone because of shear excitement and disbelief. Called and asked if the car was availble, he placed me on hold to check and said yes, its actually on the showroom floor in front of me. (You would think if you're working at Honda, you would know if there's a civic type r for sale, especially when it's on the show room floor!) I asked the price they were selling it for, placed on hold again...he confirmed yes, it's forsale for $34,990. Then made the drive all the way there and lo and behold, a freakin price tag right inside the car showing over $41,000. I didn't even want to argue. Extremely disappointed. Very deceptive sales practice. Stay away. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because the sales manager was kind enough to offer gas money for my troubles. I declined, it wasn't his fault.

We had a very good experience buying a used car. Mo is wonderful to work with I really appreciated a non pushy sales person. We found some things that needed to be addressed and they did not make us feel like we were complainers and they fixed everything without any hassle. We live 3 hours away and they returned our vehicle to us instead of us having to go back to get it. I will go back there to get my next car too. I have shared with many people around here about our experience. We have looked at lot of dealerships in Minnesota and they were the best to deal with. They are not pushy I do not like being called often when I am doing my own home work on buying anything. Thank you all at Tom Kadlec for the great experience!

The staff person who greeted me both at drop off and pick up was very professional. But when I walked in to drop my car off, several staff members were congregated together, not wearing masks. This did not make me feel safe or valued as a customer or a human being. A manager came around and told them they needed to be wearing their masks, at which point they staff members not wearing their masks put their masks back on. There was no reason they should have been off in the first place, nor any reason grown adults should have to be told that. But here we are, with people making decisions like that, that have caused us to still be in this situation. Not impressed.

Dennis Thompson in the service department is great to work with and is very helpful and knowledgeable. I took my Pilot in for an oil change and was in and out in in less than 45 minutes and they even washed my vehicle. The waiting area is very nice with comfortable seating, computers and TVs, and great snacks and beverages.

Just walked in one end of the building looked at every single vehicle in the showroom, made my way slowly from one end of the showroom to the other with no fewer than eight employees standing around talking to each other without a single one asking if they can help me even after sitting in and opening every door on one vehicle. This being the sixth dealership I've visited the last few weeks I can certainly assure you that every other dealership I've been to in Rochester people have jumped at a chance to help me. I'm trying to shop everybody and give them the chance to find my new dream car. I would have to say Honda lost out this round and come to think of it 3 years ago when I got my current lease it was nearly the same interaction. Too bad! I've heard such good things about Hondas. Maybe next time.

From the initial phone call to the final exchange everyone was very professional. Jimmy, my main contact made sure I had a rental in a timely manner and explained exactly what needed to be done and the time line. My car looks great. I would recommend them!

I worked with Blake Reiter to fix an HVAC issue, put new tires on, and get caught up on a number of small items. Blake handled the work in professional manner; fast in, fast out, and good updates. All in all a positive experience. I'll work with him again.

Had a great car buying experience at Tom Kadlec Honda thanks to Garrett Griffin and Max (sorry, forgot your last name - the ppw wizard)! Both were very easy to work with and very professional.

Garrett is an amazing salesperson and a nice, friendly guy all the way around. I so much appreciated that I never felt pressured at any step in the process. He offered me a look at another Jeep besides the one I'd planned to look at, which ended up being a much better Jeep and the one I chose (and am VERY happy with! - a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sahara). I'm getting used to the dayglow orange (LOL) and have had many compliments about it. ;)

Max was great with the paperwork, and really came through with quickly finding a good financial company for the car loan when things changed last minute with my credit union. He offered a warranty and gap insurance (the latter which afforded me a lower APR) but never pressured me to take either. Both Max and Garrett were more like advisors in that sense. And both were understanding with my limited timeline to get back to the Twin Cities for a work appt (thanks!!).

My only disappointment was not getting what I thought I should for trade-in value of my Toyota RAV4, being that it was in good condition with a recently rebuilt engine, new water pump, rear rotors, brakes and right bearing. I felt those items would have given me a better value.

That aside, I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership and specifically Garrett and Max to do business with!! Well worth the drive to Rochester!

I noticed that one of the tires on my Odyssey seemed to have a slow leak, but wasn't sure. So, I called the Kadlec Service Dept and asked if I could bring my car in that day and have a service tech actually take the tire off the car and test it to see if there, indeed was a slow leak. The woman in the Service Dept was very friendly and accommodating and worked hard to find a spot th ey could squeeze me in on that same day that I called. After arriving at Kadlec, the people at the service desks were very courteous. And, even though I had been squeezed into the busy schedule, my car was ready in an hour. Dennis Thompson was the service rep I worked with that day. He was friendly and courteous, explained everything, and answered all of my questions. I've had Dennis as my service rep on many occasions when I've brought my Odyssey in for routine servicing or other things and Dennis has been great each time-- good service, courteous, and friendly. Thank you Dennis!

He was very accommodating as he came in on his day of to show me the vehicle I ended up purchasing. No pressure to purchase, very professional. TKH by far surpasses our local dealerships. Service was good. The guy that supposed to help me was not able to assist me but another dude was there to help me instead. But! They never told me how much the battery cost and it was very expensive. I never got to choose.

I understand that owning a car Can be very expensive.But as a customer I have the right to know what am I buying it for. It can be busy at times, but you failed to inform me.

They made up for an initial failure which has turned around the entire experience. This would have been a negative experience I would be talking about if it were an hour ago, but they have made up for the mistake and we are going to be leaving satisfied with how things are coming out. Will certainly be looking here in the future when it's time to shop for a a vehicle.

Large selection of vehicles, large indoor area. Salesman had little interest in selling me a vehicle. Low balled me for a trade in and when I told him I got offered 3,000 more elsewhere, he didn't even bother to haggle or seem interested in getting the trade in value higher.
I left and went to a different dealership the next day where they offered me more for my trade in and seemed much more eager to help me. Needless to say I made my purchase at the other dealership. Too big of a dealership to really care if they lose a sale.

I can no longer recommend Tom Kadlec Honda after my experience today with the service department. I brought my 1-year-old Pilot with 18,000 miles in for an oil change. A service advisor Steve Kroeger suggested that I should also have my rear differential fluid changed because it is "factory grade" and only meant to be in there for a short time. Suddenly my $62 estimate was $190. I felt funny about this suggestion so I consulted my husband and my father (who has worked on engines his entire life) they confirmed my suspicion and told me that this was not something they had ever heard of before. When I asked to change my service back to just an oil change Blake Reiter stepped in and told me that this service needed to be done or my warranty may be void. This conversation only ended when I called my husband and had him talk to Blake. I thought the days of trying to take advantage of women at car dealerships was over but needless to say, that is not the case at Tom Kadlec Honda. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing another vehicle from Tom Kadlec and will be bringing my vehicle elsewhere for service from now on.

Andy Gostomczik was very patient with me. No pressure at all. I inquired about a car I found online. Andy answered all my questions even before coming in for a test drive. The car was prepped and ready to go when I got there. The deal was done within a couple hours. I've driven my car for a few days now, and very pleased with it and buying experience.
