Great meat selection. Fast, friendly service. Good place to stop for something quick because it's not a huge mega store, but they still have what you need.

This place has gone through several owners and changed in it's over 30 year life span from when it started as PJ's.

It's now very clean and well run. Nice staff. And works to have fresh high quality products.

Every thing I need weekly without walking miles to find it. And next to Cost Cutters. You are welcome for the plug.

Prices have risen so much I will only buy sale items. Too bad I like this store

Silver Lake Foods is an awesome little local gem. From good discounts, great products as someone who likes baking from scratch it has every little thing I need. The meat department is amazing there's always a new selection of cuts or specials and they sliced a packaged ham for me(which is a great cost cutter if you've seen the disparity in price between prepared meet and bulk meat) I even found a good shoe polish and waterproofer for my boots, that i hadn't been able to find at a big box store.

The lady at the customer service desk on june 18th at 8 am was so rude and disrespectful. That i dont even know how she got a job there. Thry are losing a loyal customer just because of her

It's a little small and expensive compared to other grocery stores but they are always friendly and their meat counter is awesome! I usually come for the deals they have!

Small town feel. Polite staff and cleaner then most grocery stores. No dust on the shelves.

smells a little funky as you walk in, but is a nice clean place to shop. I always shot here over walmart and their choices of deli meats are always great options. Some of their delas are nice and they even have an organic healthy food section in the back with some interesting potions that even Hy-Vee doesn't have. I love to explore some of their special deals that can beatout walmart in value.

Nice inner city fully stocked grocery store. About 5-10% more expensive than going to the edge of town for Hy-Vee or cub.

The best place to buy meat. It's the most fresh and reasonably priced in the whole town. I liked the place and people over there are very nice and helping.

Personally, I miss the old dirty rundown Silver Lake and I'm not sure of these new gentrified fancy renovations. They do have a lot of things I can't find elsewhere though.

I like your grocery store because it's not so big like Walmart and Target. I am 58 years old, and it's so far to get an item and another item at these big box stores.

Love this place! I used to go there in the 60's with my Mom when I was a whipper snapper, brings back great memories. Love the meats, especially the pork cuts. Rob the friendly butcher will cut whatever you want...I have him cut me 1' thick pork steaks for smoking. Good deals on meat. Neat, clean, friendly folk. Harkens you back to a better time. Still my favorite small grocer after 45 years.

I love this store in general. The meat department was a little slow in the packaging area today.

Great little local supermarket. Small, so the selections are a little limited. But it makes it easy to get in and out, and when I've price checked them against the big stores, they're surprisingly cheaper, at least for staple items . They have baked goods from the local bakery down the street, and their deli and meat counters are fantastic. The attached liquor store has great deals on wine, too.

Good selections in every department. Prices are competitive everyday. Some items are priced below the competition. Nicely renovated.

I like to buy Hi Chew candy here. And the staff is nice.

Silverlake foods is a very well presented grocery store with great customer service in which the business continues to advance in remodel and quality assurance. Thumbs up all around. The competitive delivery prices and warming friendship keeps me coming back, 5 stars!!

Almost all the produce they sell is moldy. I live very close to this grocery store & wish I didn t have to drive to Hyvee every time I needed a bag of carrots. I ve checked back multiple times & mentioned it to some of the staff but it seems the problem will never be fixed. If you re looking for produce definitely don t go here.

This is my hometown neighborhood grocer. Best in town, greatest veggies and butcher with shocking low prices that beat big box every day. Easy in and easy out, love my Silverlake foods since we moved here in '63.

It's my neighborhood grocery store and it's easy for me to pick up a few items on the fly. The staff are friendly and helpful. Love that its only 3 blocks away from my home

15 minutes and I got my entire Thanksgiving dinner! Our favorite grocery store in town!

All the other stores were jam packed. I was able to locate all items I needed and had quick check out.

Before moving into the neighborhood, I had just driven by wondering how an old grocery store was still in business. When I walked in for the first time, I found out why. Great service, selection, butcher counter, and more. Gives Rochester it's small-town charm!

Had to redact my previous positive review. Between them not accepting my credit card (which is current and in good standing) or my debit card (they claimed it was declined, I checked my balance immediately upon exiting the store and it was far more than adequate to cover the small purchase. On top of this, the staff were incredibly rude during checkout, there were a large number of molding or otherwise spoiled/expired foods on display, and the results from getting meat here have been sub-par. I won't be coming back again and I recommend you don't either.

I end up going here pretty much daily while I'm on my lunch brake. It's super convenient and I've never had a problem!
