Erica and Emilio were great when I called about my control board going out. We have had the fridge for about 4 years and haven't had any problems until now. Erica was wonderful in getting the part ordered and Emilio said he could walk me through the install. So hopefully, we can get this resolved without a service call.

If there is one thing Summit Appliance is synonymo...

If there is one thing Summit Appliance is synonymous with in my mind, it's abysmal business practices and appalling lack of quality control. My landlord purchased an oven from Summit a little while ago. The unit was delivered missing a key part (the clock box). As a result, we have been unable to use our oven for nearly two weeks as we wait for Summit to deliver the missing part. They have been extraordinarily unresponsive, and I have had to squabble with multiple supervisors to get varying responses regarding when we will get the part. Originally it was 3-5 business days, then I was assured it would be delivered "late last week" (which has come and gone).

Fast forward to today.. I hopped on the phone with an associate who mentioned the unit was now back-ordered and wouldn't even ship out until next week?? Yet, when I had her transfer me to the manager, he yet again lied and said it would ship this week and arrive next week, and insisted that he had been honest about the timeline this whole time (he most certainly hadn't). Add onto this that the company was aggressively trying to force us to install the part ourselves once it arrives because it's "not covered in the warranty". This wouldn't have been an issue if they had just shipped the unit without major components missing in the first place....

When I insisted that they do provide installation of that back piece free of charge, they essentially called me out for being lazy and stated that I "should be capable of doing it on my own". When I pointed out that they have no awareness of what my kitchen setup looks like (the counter had to be sanded down for the oven to fit in the first place, and it's a gas hookup, which makes moving it in/out on my own not only extremely challenging, but also legitimately dangerous), they still took no responsibility. Finally, I disclosed my medical condition that makes this task legitimately impossible for me, and finally they agreed to service the request. However, when I asked for confirmation of this in writing via email, they sent me an extremely vague email with no return address.

I am still without an oven, so I am hundreds in the hole now on having to eat out/get delivery because of Summit Appliance's negligence. Ray is particularly bad. I'm not sure how someone who says "this conversation is over" to a customer with very legitimate concerns is allowed to be in a managerial position in customer service. He has zero resolution or people skills. Regardless, this is a company that is inconsistent at best in the quality of the products they offer, doesn't care about their customers, and has no concept of reality. I'm not sure if they just thought I wouldn't notice that the back of my oven hasn't been delivered? Either way, 0/10 recommend. You're better off buying an easy bake oven than trusting these guys.

I have had a very unsatisfactory experience with Summit Appliance. I had purchased a compact refrigerator / freezer combo that was supposed to have auto-defrost. After just a few months however, the auto-defrost stopped working. I contacted the retailer, who then directed to me to contact the manufacturer (Summit Appliance / Felix Storch). I was in touch with Ken C*** for the warranty issue. He had made arrangements to pick up the defective unit via freight, and was supposed to issue a refund. Unfortunately however, a refund was never issued!!! The defective refrigerator was not replaced either. I communicated with them for months, went through the credit card dispute for months, and through BBB, but unfortunately was never able to resolve the issue. So in summary, they sold me junk, charged me for it, and took back their junk without issuing a refund...what a scam! They have no ethics, poor quality products, and horrible customer service.

To whom it may concern: In this world where the only time you hear from a customer is when they have a complaint I wanted to take a moment to send a Thank You and praise the service that I have received from Summit. My refrigerator which was covered under a PC Richard extended warranty. My original refrigerator was equipped with the factory installed Ice Maker and I was told that it would take a couple of weeks to replace the refrigerator that died. However, with the help of Barbara she expedited all for me and had it delivered within a week. I cannot thank her and Summit for her diligence and she actually knew my number when calling and would just answer hello Peter we are working on it. She even expedited the attachment of the Ice maker and having Kirk come and change the doors as they sent a right hand opening model even though I needed a left opening model. I will deal with Summit in the future for any small appliance needs. I even have a Summit oven in that apartment which so far has been working quite well.

Again, I want to Thank Barbara for her outstanding customer service for me and my tenant who did not have a refrigerator at all. Peter Thambounaris

I originally made a complaint 6 months ago. The company responded and wrote a review saying my issue had been resolved and gave themselves 5 stars! I'd give them negative stars if that was an option. My issues isn't resolved and I have no hope that it will be any time soon. Dealing with this company is frustrating, at best. The refrigerator/freezer we bought had 2-3" of ice on both sides of the side by side for months. We were told it needed to be replaced three months ago and filled out all of the forms to do that. They replaced it yesterday by delivering it to the front porch of my 77 year old mom's house (not installing it as promised). Today the new one has 1" of ice on the inside both sides. I do not recommend this company. I have spent countless hours on the phone, writing emails, filling out forms, dealing with people who don't seem to be in a hurry and I'm no further than I was when I first started over 6 months ago.

Initially, there was some confusion with delivery, however, within minutes, JB, the warehouse manager, and CJ , who was delivering the refrigerator, took care of the problems. It was so gratifying to know Summit has people who are not only courteous but helpful to the customer. I not only let Ken know, but those who may read this review. I feel lucky that CJ and JB were involved in my delivery.

I just bought a Summit mini refrigerator and was really pleased with their service. As can happen sometimes, the refrigerator actually arrived with a pretty solid ding in the door. I needed it pretty immediately so noted the damage on the delivery ticket, took pics and sent both to Summit - I did keep the damaged refrigerator until I got a replacement. Hilda Lee and colleagues were extremely helpful and sent a replacement promptly and without any charge or fuss. And the refrigerator is perfect! I'd happily buy from them again!

I have had a very disappointing experience with Summit appliance. I bought a new refrigerator/freezer about a year ago, and within weeks of installation the icebox stopped working. It either won't produce any ice at all, or the water system inside the freezer sprays water all over the freezer, making a mess.

I have had two repair people from Summit come out to fix the unit, one replaced the entire ice box and the other reset the pressure. The unit is still broken. I just scheduled another repair, but the repairmen arrived before my specifically scheduled window of time (1-4), never came to my door to ring the bell, and then left. They called me, but as they were 15 mins early, I was not expecting them and did not see the call. They waited 10 mins and left (still before my schedule window). When I spoke to customer service, they said that they have a policy that repairmen wont knock on your door, ring your bell, or ask your doorman to be let up. Crazy. Now I have to stay home from work another day for them to, most likely, fail to fix the problem for the third time.

This was an expensive unit and I am very dismayed by the lack of quality and customer service.

I called Summit to request service on a commercial refrigerator purchased from them that kept going into alarm mode. Hilda was our service adviser and she was terrific from start to finish with her exceptional customer service and follow up. After providing her with our purchase agreement she put everything in motion from having a new part sent directly to us to coordinating service the same day the part arrived. After a service technician arrived we were back on line within a couple hours. The tech was efficient and cleaned up prior to leaving which is rare. Thank you Hilda!! and stay safe....

Turned out it was my fault as we were covering the vents in the freezer. Not only did Luis educate me in the nicest way, but he also took the time to get the ice out and never once complained about the small space he had to work in. Summit is lucky to have someone like him working at there company

A plastic door shelf in the refrigerator cracked. Melissa at Summit was very helpful and made it easy for me to pick up the part. The actual unit, a narrow bottom-freezer, is not wonderful Why did the shelf crack in the first place? Why do vegetables freeze in the crisper? Why does the freezer leak water? Why does the lower freezer drawer slip off its track? but her customer service was A-OK, and the price of the part was very reasonable.

Purchased under counter built in freezer drawers and a wine & beverage center. Both units are functioning well and are very stylish. Discovered an issue during installation where front stainless steel drawer was dinged. I wasn t sure if it happened in shipment or if the contractor accidentally dinged it. Called Summit warranty service. Customer Service person Wanda listened to information I had and I was very pleased that they sent me a new drawer face. They went above and beyond. Drawer looks great again.

I called for warranty service on May 21st and its June 15th and they haven't completed the service. I bought a refrigerator from them and its not even been a year when I needed service. It took them a week for them to come down and diagnose the problem and 3-weeks to than determine its was unrepairable. Now, they want to replace it and its been 2-weeks and no replacement.

Zero stars. Bought a beverage fridge from them 2 years ago. It no longer works and can't be fixed because they discontinued the model and no longer make parts to repair it. Don't even get me started on the repair process. Summit's customer service referred me to several repair shops, claiming they fixed Summit appliances. None of them did. Not a single one of the companies given to me by their support staff had anything to do with Summit appliances. Also, it's pretty amazing that they even led me through this process rather than telling me over the phone that my model was unrepairable. They're the only company that makes and sells parts for their stuff. They should know, but I was never informed.

Definite Never Again.

UPDATE: Summit worked with me to replace the fridge with a newer model for less than what any repairs would cost, were they possible, AND they paid to ship the new one to me.

Bought an under the counter Ice Machine that failed after roughly nine months, called Summit as it was still under warranty and they sent a technician out to try to fix it. The tech they sent out determined it would need to be replaced, but left the power and water running after he left which resulted in flooding to my basement. Summit is unwilling to stand behind the damage caused by who they sent out. Ray, the Customer Experience Manager is only willing to pay for half of the damage without pictures of the piping behind the wall that passed inspection less than a year ago. Breaking open the walls to get some pictures was described as an "inconvenience" that they are not willing to cover the cost of. I highly recommend finding a company that is willing to stand behind their products and their work. I will never buy another Summit appliance again.

We bought a Summit 36" stove from a third party (who were awesome). The stove arrived damaged because it is so flimsy. The metal bent and contorted the back of the stove. The workmanship of this stove was horrid. See the photo's below. The frame in between the glass of the oven door was bent and rusted and the enamel was not even applied properly in spots. When I contacted Summit with the pictures and issues, it took 14 days to get a response and then Ray didn't even address the workmanship issues. Thankfully, the 3rd party company arranged for the stove to be returned at no cost to us. I am deeply disappointed in the lack of response from Summit and how curt and rude they are when they do send a response. Don't buy from Summit, unless you want to be sorely disappointed!

Summit products are not worth the money - at all. Our refrigerator cost a great deal and the freezer stopped working completely. The sensor is a huge pain and goes off continuously and is not easily fixed. Their response to these ridiculous problems is an expensive service visit and then a very paltry warranty! Absolutely do not recommend.

Bought under counter ice maker and fridge from them back in 2016 thru Lowe's. The ice maker never worked when I brought it home from Lowes and returned it to buy a well known named replacement. Now 3 years later the fridge keeps tripping my breakers. Tried to order replacement parts (crossing my finger it is a relay and not the compressor--all us DIYers know what a bad compressor means) and mysteriously the part is "on its way" for 2 weeks. After reviewing the warranty and online reviews, I am shocked that this company still exists and even more angry at Lowes for endorsing these junk appliances. Always buy brand name appliances! Never ever again will I buy from some no name company in the Bronx called Summit. I m doing my part to steer people away from these appliances. Took delivery of an electric range, it was dinged up, there were screws missing, and when I put the metal rack inside it was too small for the oven and just fell to the bottom. It is scheduled for pickup to go back. Aside from the physical damage to the oven, the quality is insanely bad. Having appliances built like this in your home is essentially keeping secrets your insurance company should know. Too bad because it s visually appealing, unfortunately it s scrap before it was even installed.

The refrigerator we purchased is great. We have an outdoor fridge (SPR1960s). Works great, quiet. I would give it 5 stars, but my experience with sales and customer service was rough. My product had a small dent on the door. For $800, I wanted it to look nice. I tried to purchase a new door. I called at 4 p.m. Central which is 5 p.m. EST which I assume was their closing time or the end of my sale's rep day. She took down my number and said she would call me and hung up. No follow up call. I followed up a few days later and tried to order a new door through claims. I received one email saying, 'Did you tell your distribution rep?" and then no follow up. I am on my third attempt to give them money. Apparently I can get the part next year.

No fluff, reliable products - my apartment has a set of Summit appliances in the kitchen, and they have never caused issues and work well for what they were made to do. I would love a little revamping on the finish for a more streamlined appearance and better quality feel, but function-wise, I cannot complain.

I am shocked this company is still in business. It would be easier to disarm a nuclear bomb then to actually order a part from this business. I have attempted to order a part for a freezer I bought for over 7 weeks without success. Every time I call, they say they will jump on it and call me back but they never do. I then order the part and it isn't shipped. I call to check and they then tell me they don't have the part in stock. This place is a total disgrace. I called and talked to Shanita more than twice and she promised to call me back but she never did.

I wish to inform you of how much assistance Raquel Matos has been in my dealings with Summit Appliance. I first interacted with Raquel in 2012 when she helped rectify an appliance that was ordered incorrectly. I have since ordered several refrigerators from Felix Storch. I am very pleased with the quality of the product, but I have been especially pleased with how responsive and attentive to detail your team has been, especially Raquel. My orders have several specifications that are not standard, and over the years Raquel has always helped ensure that the details get processed correctly. Raquel works in the claims department, but her attention to detail and efficiency have made it that I always feel more comfortable in alerting her whenever I have a new order. She always goes the extra mile to guarantee that my stainless steel refrigerators arrive exactly the way I want. This way there are no issues when the items arrive. A particular order that stands out is one that I received this summer. An apartment was in the middle of being renovated, and a new prospective tenant contacted me and wished to rent the unit ASAP. The apartment was 2-3 weeks from completion. I knew that many aspects could be finished faster, but the key item that would hold me back from delivering the keys to this individual was the refrigerator, which was not yet ordered. I called Raquel and explained my predicament. Raquel worked with Rachel Glick and I received the order in a matter of only a few days. The tenant moved in almost immediately afterwards. Had Raquel not orchestrated everything so that the order could ship out that fast, I believe that I would have lost the tenant. Her positive attitude combined with her ability to interact rapidly with contacts in several different departments, especially in assembly and shipping/freight, are exceptional. I wanted to point out what a valuable member of your company Raquel Matos is, but I am positive that you must already know. Thank you!

Horrible customer service. Ordered a part and paid and waited two months. I then called two months later and they told me it never shipped because they didn't have the part in stock. Really? You took my payment and then did nothing and didn't even bother to email or call me to tell me you didn't have the part in stock?

I spent $1200 on an under counter fridge and there are so many errors in the specs that I can't even use it. The toe kick depth is wrong on the specs. The toe kick height is wrong in the specs. Is says in the specs it can be fully recessed, which it can't. It is panel ready but if you add a panel the door can't open. Seriously? dealing with support was abysmal. They sent me a hinge that according to another technician 'doesn't exist' and doesn't even fit, even though the specs everywhere say it is reversible hand. Avoid this brand at all costs.

We ordered a medical grade refrigerator for our clinic. After two months of use, the fridge started to leak. We reached out to summit to see if they would honor their warranty. After sending out a technician, they determined the cause of the leak to be excessive humidity. We have two other medical grade refrigerators in the same clinic that have no issues. Summit is unwilling to fix our issue. I would avoid at all costs. There are other manufacturers out there that provide a better product at a better price.

Buyer beware! New Summit fridge broke within 2 months. Had to wait over a week for warranty service and the repairman came without the correct part. Now waiting another week for him to return with the part - they have the part but are too busy right now to complete the job! Apparently their products are so terrible that their repairmen are booked weeks out.

As a professional courtesy I reached out to the CEO of Summit Appliances to try resolve and issue with a ice maker i purchased from their company for a kitchen renovation we completed this summer, directly and amicably.

The ice maker had a faulty water seal (o-ring) and sequentially leaked water behind newly installed cabinets and onto and into hardwood floors. The leak caused substation damage to the newly installed cabinets and floors. The ice maker was professionally installed by a licensed plumber with a slow drip coming from a black cap that blocked off a pump that wasn't needed on the install. The leak didn't become visible for 30 days after the floors and cabinets had soaked up the water hence bucked the floors and caused water damage to the boxes of the cabinets.

We attempted to contact their customer service, which is nearly impossible to get through to after long on hold wait time. We left messages and never had a return phone call. We we able to talk to customer service reps with promises of follow ups, only to find out they closed our cases before any attempt to fix or resolve the issues.

I was able to get their head of customer service after sending him an email to the CEO. After much back and forth, his only resolve was to give me $1,000 OR, have me file a claim with my home owner insurance. The $1,000 would have covered less than 1/3 of the cost of repair and there is no reason for me to file a claim with my insurance company if the damage was clearly from the newly installed unit.

Summit is taking no responsibility for the damage caused by the failed o-ring (which they eventually sent someone out to repair and noted it was faulty). I find it unacceptable that their customer service response was for us to file a home owners insurance claim, which after speaking to my home insurance carrier would result in an increase in my premiums or a threat of being dropped.

I found their customer service dismissive of my issue and concerns and tried to repeatedly blame the installer which seemed to be their default position on everything. Moreover, had I proceeded with filing a claim with my home insurance carried, it surely would have resulted in summit paying more than their settlement offer to me in their deductible. They need to take full responsibility and pay for the repairs their unit caused.

Wanda took care of our service call very fast & professionally. The service tech was Louis. He was GREAT!! This guy went above & beyond. Instead of evaluating the problem, realizing he didn t have the tool to fix it & rescheduling another appointment he asked if there was a store around, went to Lowe s, got the tool, came back & got the job done!! My office has an accucold vaccine refrigerator, has had issues with the fans, and have had it repaired twice. So far, the second repair is holding up fine. Dealt with Hilda, she has been terrific, quickly responded to our issues, sent the replacement parts quickly and has been very professional.

You would be better off buying a few styrofoam coolers and filling them with ice every few days, that would be more reliable than their product. And when you have to schedule the many, many repairs within the first year of owning one of their fridges, be prepared to repeatedly adjust your schedule to accommodate them and then readjust it when they text the night before to tell you that they've changed the window that they're coming.

Just ordered parts for a Summit Fridge that I purchased at an auction. I received the quote from D'Artagnan (what a cool name) very quickly and called to place my order. I spoke with Erica Marrero. First let me say Erica was extremely pleasant and helpful. I am sure that in today's climate being in customer service is extremely challenging. Erica was knowledgeable and courteous. My order was placed efficiently and I am looking forward to receiving my door shelves and crisper drawer. Please give whatever bonus/perk you can to these individuals. My five star rating is a direct reflection of the stellar services provided by Mr. William Moon! In summary, one of the back rail caps on the top shelf of our Summit dishwasher (product # DW2432SSADA) broke. I contacted the store where we purchased the dishwasher back in 2014. They did not have the replacement part, but did give me the number to Summit Appliance Parts Dept. I called to see if they carried the replacement part and this is a summary of what happened next: 1) put on hold for a good 5+ minutes 2) told they could not give me an ETA of when I they expected to receive the parts 3) was told it could be ~90 days for them to get the part in...if at all 4) could either buy another dishwasher or wait. Neither of which worked for us and I just knew there had to be another way.I called back and William took my call. Not only was he familiar with the products they had in stock, but he also offered some of the best customer services! And...I should be receiving my rail caps on Wednesday and am thrilled that we will not have to purchase another dishwasher anytime soon.! Thanks William!

I needed a new jar shelf for my refrigerator because it cracked. I called and was on hold for over 10 minutes just to have someone answer and hang up on me. I finally did get to speak to someone who was very nice about ordering me a new shelf. The shelf was $18, handling and shipping were $19 bringing my total to $37. I was not given a total by the service representative who told me, when I asked, that he thought it was about $5. Be aware of this.

My new 28" counter depth refrigerator just arrived, and I had a quick question for the shop. Christopher Fitzpatrick, in sales, was just a wonderful help! He was knowledgeable, friendly, fun to talk to and took all the time I needed to explain how to resolve my question, even staying on the phone a little after closing time. Very poor customer service , rep hung up on me when I asked why he was talking to me in that way he said I m just stating facts I said is that how you treat a customer that s when he hung up . when I was just letting him know after some one came to my house oven still was not working . I would not recommend this place to no one .
