I have had a very disappointing experience with Summit appliance. I bought a new refrigerator/freezer about a year ago, and within weeks of installation the icebox stopped working. It either won't produce any ice at all, or the water system inside the freezer sprays water all over the freezer, making a mess.

I have had two repair people from Summit come out to fix the unit, one replaced the entire ice box and the other reset the pressure. The unit is still broken. I just scheduled another repair, but the repairmen arrived before my specifically scheduled window of time (1-4), never came to my door to ring the bell, and then left. They called me, but as they were 15 mins early, I was not expecting them and did not see the call. They waited 10 mins and left (still before my schedule window). When I spoke to customer service, they said that they have a policy that repairmen wont knock on your door, ring your bell, or ask your doorman to be let up. Crazy. Now I have to stay home from work another day for them to, most likely, fail to fix the problem for the third time.

This was an expensive unit and I am very dismayed by the lack of quality and customer service.
