I stored 4 boxes with them for 4 months and service is s***! First they dropped off the boxes a day later than scheduled. Then picked up the boxes a day later than scheduled. They might as well just not have a schedule.
Second, I asked for my boxes to be dropped off and they charged me for an extra month!!! This was not the deal. It's not a huge amount of money but i felt like i was being scammed.
Third, finally they dropped off my boxes the next day as usual, and not to my surprise they forgot one of my BOXES!!! This is not what i signed up for.

Now i have to wait another 2 weeks for my 3rd box?

DON'T use this company. Don't fall for their 20 pound off for students scam because they just charge that when you ask for your boxes back.

I booked a van and 2 men to move my stuff from a storage to my new flat.
The work was booked for 2pm on a Sunday followed by a bank holiday Monday.
Only 1 man showed up at 6:30pm.
So I had to wait 4 and a half hours and because there was only 1 man I had to do half of the job myself. Carrying heavy stuff (boxes, furniture etc) up and down.
I had only that day to make the moving and could not cancel the job, although that was the only thing I wanted to do at that point.
I had to wait until Tuesday to get in touch with SpaceWays office. When I called them and explained what had happened I didn't get any apology and all they offered was a ridiculous 15% discount.
Absolute disgrace!!!!
Will NEVER use this company again.

I just moved and used Spaceways to store my bike and winter clothes because the new flat does not have enough space for it. The online booking and the delivery of the free boxes was very easy and fast. I had some problems with the payment but the customer support was very helpful and fixed it right away. I would definitely recomment it.

I had a really good experience with SpaceWays when moving house, my boxes were delivered and collected in a timely and efficient manner, and the driver was absolutely lovely and very helpful. When a problem arose, it was sorted out very quickly by customer service, who were great also.

Worst storage facility. They won't return your items on time and will trouble you a lot. Im an international student and stored my items for the summer. I booked a return slot to get my items redelivered to me on 29th september. I only got 2 out of my 6 pieces. the next date they gave me was 12th october but on the day i just got a call that they can't return my items and il have to wait for another 2 weeks before i could get my items. Even now I'm not sure that will i be lucky enough to get my things on the next scheduled date. the company simply wastes your time and causes a lot of inconvenience. Highly NOT recommended!

Hated it, is the least I can say at this point where my boxes have been lost for months! First they leave my boxes without collecting it for 3 weeks then when they do collect it they forget to put it on the system under my account, which means they have been lost from the point they've collected them! Absolutely irresponsible and rude! They'd not pick up calls because they know who is calling, and it has been weeks when I cannot get my clothes out of storage to wear for the cold weather!!! I'm literally on the brick of bringing in legal actions towards Spaceways!

The only person I'd feel bad is their drivers who seem to be polite, god knows what they do behind it all! If you don't know how to take responsibility and run a reliable business might as well shut down!!!

I stored 3 boxes and 2 luggage with Spaceways. Delivery of boxes and pick up in June was fast and easy. At the beginning of September I wanted to book my return order online and the next available date was in 6 days.

One day before I was supposed to get my stuff back I received a call saying that they were not able to return my items due to unexpected complications in the warehouse and wanted to arrange a new delivery date for next week.

One week later on my return date I get another phone call, saying that the driver would be late for about 2 hours. So 2 hours after my original time slot I received all of my items back from a nice driver, who apologized again for the delay.

All in all I would say that Spaceways is not a bad company, they surely have some problems right now but you can tell that they are still trying to give their customers the best possible service and keeping them updated as much as possible.

I really like the business model and hope that they can fix their problems and offer a hassle-free service soon.

A friend recommended Spaceways moving service to me. I was really really hesitant because of the bad reviews I have seen on google+ but everything went smoothly on the moving date. For someone who is only moving 7-10 boxes like me, I can definitely recommend their service!

This company is very disappointing, first they came late to pick up my bags and was already late for my flight, so i had to ask favors from friends to help with the storage. Than i asked for storage to be returned, it took me nearly 4 months to get information from the company they have lost all of my storages. ALL, i have got no clue how is that possible, no clear explanation was provided about where my items went. In the end, they just decide to compensate me a certain amount, which is still not enough to cover all the cost while i was waiting for the bags. Therefore, I hope everyone to think carefully before sending your bags in with them. Use there services at your own risk.

Contrary to the 48 hour delivery promise they boast about on their website, I waited over a month to get all my stored items back. Delivery is often delayed, a scheduled 4pm-6pm delivery arrived at 9pm, with the reason being "the driver left the warehouse late this morning".

I ended up having to buy entirely new sets of home items.

Incredibly inflexible service with absolutely no contingency plans when things go south.
Customer service was rude, and more importantly utterly useless.

I don't usually write reviews for companies, but to prevent any unfortunate souls becoming a victim of Spaceways in the future, I had to write this one.

I am utterly disappointed with the service. Firstly, the site had an issue. The login page said my email was not registered which I got fixed by contacting the company via email. This initially caused a big delay in ordering my boxes back. The phone is always busy and email replies come no earlier than 2 days. I am a student and have 7 pieces stored with the company. I literally have all my stuff in the storage and while the company site says boxes will be delivered within 48 hours, the earliest date that I am getting (set the date 3 days ago) is 16th October 2015 which is totally unacceptable. That is literally 20 days. I literally have to waste money getting new essentials due to this huge delay and would not recommend this company unless I hear a quick reply and have my boxes back within this week. After many tries, managed to talk to a representative on the phone who gave a dry response by just saying that we only have the dates available on the email. There are other storage companies out there which have kept their promise and I expected the same from Spaceways!

I have never written any bad reviews of any company but this company is purely ridiculous. They were supposed to deliver the boxes from 9-1pm but the boxes never arrived! The customer service takes forever to get through and they give poor excuses, saying that they "had a busy morning"?! I had to quickly book another storage company and get packing materials last minute so that I wouldn't miss my flight the next day. The driver called me the next day at 10am to ask to deliver the boxes, which I cancelled as I was already at the airport by then!

Easy booking, simple prices that I feel are great value for money. Great Customer Service online, telephone and in person. A particular gold star to Mike in Guildford who collected the boxes . There was a glitch with phone numbers given online which he handled on the day putting my mind at rest that he would reach my daughter at UNI and all would run smoothly. He was also so helpful to her to get it all done in time for him to take the boxes away going above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks Mike and Spaceways for taking a load off my mind and my Daughter's. I am sure that the re-delivery will run just as smoothly ! One quibble would be please make time slots a little narrower on the day so you know more accurate arrival times .

I am very happy I discovered SpaceWays. What a brilliant concept. I have three boxes stored with them currently, as I am between flats. The entire process, from the first phone call where I ordered 3 boxes, to the delivery of said boxes, to the collection of packed boxes, was seamless. Easy to book, and they allow really flexible arrangements. We didnt move far, so instead of having to use a huge truck, the team just did two trips with a large van. They packed some boxes for us and did it very well. The team who arrived were friendly, fast and professional. Would definitely use again.

The worst company I ever dealt with, i scheduled boxes to be delivered on Sat2nd of July from 4-7pm i had to sit for the whole day at home for the driver which finally did not even turn up, i contacted spaceways on Monday the re scheduled boxes delivery on Tuesday 5th of July and Guess what , the same story again !!! No confirmation, no communication, no call back, no one picking up the phone just rings out for 20 minutes then you are asked to leave a message which doesn't get responded to for days. Unhelpful, rude staff on the phone when you do get through. The sales team offer good rates but in reality the service is not good. I had sleepless nights with this company. Eventually got through and confirmed arrangements for the next day as I hadn't heard from them and then they called me straight back to say they could collect the crates but not deliver them when they were supposed to - 20 hours before the move. This would leave us unable to run our business for 4 days. Ended up doing all the IT packing ourselves as they were over 2 hours late. Wouldn't use them again.

Used Spaceways to store some belongings whilst I had building work done on my flat, and I would definitely recommend them. Good value and very efficient.

Staff were extremely friendly and professional, kept me updated with their likely arrival time and took real care with my stuff.

Return delivery was a breeze, I just gave a couple of days notice and boxes were back with me. In a small flat it was helpful to have the option to unpack there and then and return the boxes.

I ve used other self-storage in the past but would definitely opt for this service in the future, it really does save a lot of hassle going back and forth and lumping boxes to a storage facility.

However on that day the driver only brought me with one of my boxes so I had to reschedule with the customer service to get back the other boxes. On 7th September, after having been kept waiting for a whole day, I was told the delivery was canceled. I had to move out of my flat and crashed at a friend s place for a few weeks before I could find a new accommodation. Spaceways picked up the stuff from my flat and moved most of it into their storage and a few boxes to my friends place. When I finally found a new flat, they delivered the items in storage to my new address on the next day. I am impressed with how fast and easy they operate.

The company who bought spaceways is called kellys storage ltd, and if you call them they actually answer the phones. They have done more in 1 morning than 1 week of empty promises to "call me" from space ways.

Bad experience. I managed to get a delivery/pick-up confirmation today(Friday) for the 4-7pm time slot. I called the customer service at 6.30pm and one of the staff said they would come within an hour. It is now 9.17pm, I am eating cereal for dinner, still waiting for you guys to collect my stuff. No one bothered to inform me about the further delays, or to reschedule. I have a flight back to Malaysia on Monday, I needed a place to store my belongings urgently. Disappointing really, that was unprofessional and infuriating. I thought Spaceways would be better after last year s complaints, apparently not. Spaceways simply cannot be trusted.

Appalling customer service. Booked the 4pm-7pm delivery slot, nobody showed up, so I waited until 9:30pm that evening in the hope that someone would show up with my boxes. Nothing.
The phone line clearly isn't manned, because I've had no answer on that for the past 2 hours, I've emailed and messaged and still no response.

I booked my boxes to be delivered on the 26 of September! Then a guy from the company called me and told me they couldn't deliver all my boxes at once and only 5/7 will be delivered on the 26th, which was unpleasant,yet I agreed and booked a spot for the 9th of the next month for the two boxes left ( quite a long wait and all my luggage is there, all essentials as I am a student from abroad) . On the 26th not only that nothing came but also no one informed me that I shouldn't expect my boxes , so I stayed in home all day waiting for them- ON A SATURDAY. Hopefully, I will eventually receive my boxes as I am already starting to question the honesty of this company and "cheap" service has cost me a lot more than I had expected since I had to buy a lot of new stuff, instead of using the things I already have.

The most unpleasing experience ever. First of all, I set my pick up date on Saturday then they emailed me if I can change the day since there is "an unexpected number of delivery on Saturday." However, I already had my own schedule except Saturday so I replied them but they kept asking me to change the day. I even booked my flight on Sunday so I had no choice. IT WAS ME WHO BEGGED THEM TO COLLECT MY STUFF ON SATURDAY. In the end, they said they'd fit me in Saturday so I thought that was the end of it BUT they didn't come on Saturday HA HA and I messaged them online and only got just the same COPY & PASTE reply over and over. I just don't understand why there's a live chat service when it's useless. SERIOUSLY I HAVE NO IDEA ATM SINCE IM LEAVING TOMORROW. The only reason why I decided to use this company is that they offer delivery service. If I'd known how they deal with customers, I'd have never ever used it. Bad service I find this online few months ago . As I away for couple of month . When the box arrived and the driver wasn t that nice. And after that when they pick my stuff . They hadn t put the bar code on each box which means I am unable to pick which box I wanna returns . And after I back in town . I try to request an redelivery and is time table is full which I and to force to keep my stuff another week and then the day before my redelivery, I got a call about the car had some problems, and the driver said gonna come on monday instead and he said gonna arrived around 12 pm , which is another two day . And then I am at home all day , no call or email . And I login to my account they had change the time without notice me, I can t be talking lot of day off for this plus they keep delay the redelivery and keep changing me the storage fee due their own problems. Don t use this company!!!is a joke . I don t even know where is my stuff now!!!!

I am very disappointed in your service. I called in today and I was told that my boxes cannot be delivered before 19th October. I did not sign up for this! I chose your services as it advertised that I could get my things back within 48 hours of notice. I am aware that this is subject to availability, therefore I could reluctantly understand waiting for a week. But 3 weeks is TOTALLY UNREASONABLE! Please come up for a solution ASAP, as I am moving into my new flat and need all my things (towels, duvet, pillows, crockery etc). You should give your customers a warning if you are experiencing a busy period, rather than letting them get a bad surprise on their own.

I have had excellent customer service. I had to check out before 12 pm, thus requested collection before 11am. Driver liaised with me and arrived on time, was very polite and helpful, helped me carry the boxes from 3rd to ground floor. Great pricing as well. I was apprehensive prior to booking due to previous poor reviews but they've gained a regular customer. Highly recommended!"

Spaceways is quite possibly the worst company that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have had my fair share of experiences when it comes to customer service with companies like Sky, Virgin, BT etc. and they simply do not compare with the atrocities that is, Spaceways.

To spare you the grueling details in between: it took about 6 attempts to schedule a redelivery, about 4 to actually delivery all of my stuff back. Altogether, 1 month and 5 days before they gave everything back. Everytime I was met with false promises and misleading time slots, from an award winning (if they ever had a Golden Raspberry award for storage companies) worst customer service of 2015. Who am I kidding - ever. The only time they were compliant and replied was when I voiced my complaints on Facebook, which I found quite funny because it seems like they want the bad publicity.
Not only did I have to waste my time with the mindless minions that worked for CrapWays I was forced to replace so many of my items that they still possessed. You would think after royally screwing over customers they are obligated to refund my payment for their services - nope. Since they "delivered my items in good condition" I should not be entitled to a refund! Absolute joke. You should know that they did not even supply me with the plastic boxes as advertised and left me with standard cardboard boxes - which were also late too should I add - and they even broke one of my own plastic containers. But considering their business standards I am sure they'd believe that is still "good condition".
For those who have made it this far, thank you for reading. I assure you that these 5 minutes will save you the time, money and sanity that you could have wasted on FailWays. They will scam you with their horrific business practices and they will make you mad with their incompetent customer service. Now watch, as they perfectly demonstrate their poor services with a poorly delivered response filled with an insincere apology that even Comcast will find it cheap.

First of all, Spaceway is probably the most inexpensive storage option in London, and most certainly the most convenient one. I have been using Spaceways for years without any issues, lost items, or other shenanigans. That alone makes it a four-star service the fifth star they earned the other day when I wasn't around to collect the items. I have an interview scheduled for the time the driver was expected to arrive. I was calling support, who were friendly, and very helpful. Within minutes we figured out a solution, and that was that I was keeping the house and flat keys in a safe place for the driver so that he can place the items in the living. And so he did -carrying up the heavy items to the first floor. The only real regret I had was not leaving a tip for the driver. I completely forgot as I was in a hurry! I highly recommend the service.

DO NOT USE THEM. I am so frustrated with this company. I scheduled to have my boxes returned to me on September 12th, and no one ever showed up or even called to say why no one showed up. So I was then rescheduled not THE NEXT DAY but on the 17th to have them delivered. No surprise, still nothing. Emailed them, said I could get my stuff back on the 26th. Again, I wasted another two hours waiting around for them, and did not get my storage. So here I am, on the 30th, and I've complained to the company, and they keep reassuring me that I am 'top priority' and that they are 'looking into my case', yet no boxes. Funny how you're not allowed to go to the warehouse, either, to get your storage yourself. Thank you for holding my storage hostage and continually wasting my time.

Absolutely horrible customer service. My boxes aren't being delivered on time plus the team is not picking up my calls or replying to my mails. Had a horrible experience. Been trying to reach the team since 5 days now but have got no reply. It's just so dissapointing and irritating, all my important daily use stuff was in the boxes and I haven't got them back yet.

I don't mind the wait for two weeks, and then having to buy boxes since the plastic boxes they promised was out. But I frikin got bed bugs.two was found in the coat I stored in spacways. Oh and my roommate who also used spaceways has bed bugs too! Awesome!

Update:I'm being honest and letting who read this decide. manager did his best to figure out and did bring in pest control and came out clean for bugs and does not have other complaints to this date.
he couldn't say how closely they checked and how the checking is done since it's the extermintor's territory. But he did try to reply back as soon as possible and was honest to my belive.

but too many boxes stored with out being checked and there is a chance of bed bugs moving around within boxes into winter clothing without leaving any visuable traces out side of the box due to bedbugs eat people and if there is no food they would bunker down in clohing or move around to find food( that is what my exterminator said when I asked where the hell does this come from since I/the house had no trouble before and all my item is from spaceways)

I just remembered a oder from a box I got back from storage and wondered what it was at the time and the item inside it was later found with bugs that was actively eating me. The new place Im living is being monitored every six weeks and all the item is what I have stored from space ways. Now I have to pay for fumes matress and dry cleaning fees that is adding up to a thousand pounds. And no insurance doesn't cover for bug infestation.

Lots of issues since I booked it the move. Took weeks to get a time slot, which was outside the time I was promised. Even then the driver turned up later than the agreed time frame anyway. Fine. It happens.

After the move I was presented with a extra bill. The reason was:
1- move took longer and they had to pay driver over time (after 3pm),
2- a lot more items than initially quoted,
3- TV too heavy and
4- driver needed my help.

1- Iwas promised the length of time wouldn't matter. The driver turned up half an hour before his shift was meant to end. No move was gonna finish in half an hour.

2- Then I realised the driver billed me for 3 small Waitrose plastic bags, a long umbrella and my handbags as extra items (which he didn't move) so the total went over the quote by a quite a few. Billing me for handbags and plastic bags?! And for the move he didn't do??brilliant

3- The only thing he struggled with was the tv, which I was able to move on my own. So not sure why he had problems with it especially he had a trolley.

4- finally I helped the move out of the kindness of my heart. Not because he was struggling. But I was bill for my effort.

When I raised it, the accounts didn't care. I called the client manager who used to be responsive. Now he was on radio silence.

Now I had to pay the extra to avoid them charging me interest on outstanding amount.

SpaceWays' service is appalling. We have been waiting for nearly a month for delivery of storage boxes. Every time they give us a slot - which of course involves taking time out of work schedules and other commitments - they fail to turn up. They have rendered themselves almost completely unaccountable and uncontactable. We have had repeated conversations with someone called 'Hal' who just does a lot of sighing and tells us that the slots we suggest 'aren't going to work for him'. So far we have only been refunded the original delivery charge, but after three more no-shows we have received no other offers of compensation or reimbursement for failed service or loss of income.

Apart from the fact that the lack of respect for customers' time and investment is a categorical disgrace, the company is in contravention of its own Terms and Conditions. If anyone reading this has experienced the same issues, please feel free to use the following information:

3.1.5 - The order confirmation comprises an agreement that is 'legally binding on you and us'
-- Given the repeated failure to deliver, the company is in clear breach of contract and must be legally accountable

12.1.3 - Spaceways state that they are not liable to the customer for any loss, misdelivery, or damage to items if (f.) the customer does not accept 'delivery within a reasonable time after the Order has been tendered'.
-- Although the Terms and Conditions do not define 'reasonable', the common global vernacular for this term generally does not include repeated no-shows and nearly a month of uncompensated waiting, with almost no customer service or support whatsoever.

12.2.2 - 'if we fail to comply with the Agreement, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of the Agreement or our negligence, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if they were an obvious consequence of our breach or if they were contemplated by you and us at the time we entered into the Agreement'
-- the loss and damage incurred by multiple incidences of waiting for boxes that never turn up, having repeated inconclusive conversations with 'Hal', taking at times whole days off work for no apparent purpose, is an obvious consequence of the company's breach of the Agreement. No customer would ever contemplate that this would happen to them at the time of entering into this Agreement, as the logical conclusion would be to take their business elsewhere.

SpaceWays have committed multiple breaches of contract. They offer negligible customer service and support. At each point that I have used social media to try to engage the company in accountability and response they have blocked my account. They are a sad example of the 'race-to-the-bottom' of the contemporary sharing economy: offering the lowest service to the lowest payer, exploiting the housing crisis and difficult access to transport posed by residents in London.

While I doubt that the company will be doing business for much longer (as they clearly don't know a storage box from their own elbows) I implore any prospective customers to look elsewhere, as dealing with SpaceWays has been a real blight on both my and my partner's lives.

Absolutely awful service! I ordered my return order on 24th of September, but they told me they cancelled my order and rescheduled my order on 6th of October after I called them. They didn't give me any notice by email or by phone in advance to let me know that they will cancel my order. Then I waited until today, and they told me again that they can't deliver all of my boxes, and they can only deliver 5 boxes out of 14 today, and they asked me to wait until 21st of October. It is definitely unacceptable! Their manager promised me two weeks ago that all of my stuff would be delivered by today, but they never do it!!!!!! If you can't do it, then you should not promise! I want to get all of my boxes back by today, and I will not wait for another 2 weeks!
