Trail of lights is a great place to take family. Donation driven and very friendly people. Our kids loved the displays, llamas and Santa Claus. We'll be back next year for sure.

Love this place! They have events for the whole family year round! I have been coming here since I was a kid!
Love the Christmas lights. Great family trip to see the lights, walk the trails, drink hot chocolate, and roast s'mores. Check their website for Christmas hours.
A must see for all. This family and its community have a heart the size of Texas. I enjoyed every display and all the families enjoying it.
Emilyann is a nice spot to visit in Wimberley. They have plays for kids and adults, the trail of lights, and other events throughout the year.
A beautiful place to walk around with the kids. We love Emily Ann!
We were there for the Butterfly Festival. They had butterflies, belly dancers, Tai Chi, face painting, food and fun.
Best trail of lights in the Austin area!!! Hands down. Especially if you have toddlers. Not a far trek out to Wimberley at all. My boys loved actually being able to walk through the lights. Santa was great.
We went there to see the Shakespeare's play Mcbeth. A few of the actors were good but most of them were very young, spoke too fast and didn't use the right tone of voice. It's the kind of place were families go to see their kids on stage. The costumes were awful! Punk style! Nothing to do with the original play. If you have been to the Shakespeare globe theater in London you know what I mean. The seating is comfortable, the restrooms clean and the staff very nice though. That's a shame that the tiny shop sells only a few junk items;
Incredible time. Less traffic and tons of fun for young and old.. A family Christmas tradition. It's a must experience!!!!!!!
Wonderful Trail of Lights, donations only. Excellent displays
Kids always look forward to the trail of lights festivities here. It's a tradition for us.
Always beautiful and love seeing the new additions!
We saw a production of Shrek The Musical there and had a great time. The theater captures the feel of the warm and friendly town of Wimberley. The Emilyann Theatre also hosts Wimbeley's Trail of Lights which is always something I try to attend.
Love love love this place.... unbelievable all that they offer! Gardens are beautiful, plays are always well done and events are eductional and entertaining at same time. Very family centered.
Love love love this place. The plays are so awesome, the grounds are beautiful. The Christmas lights are amazing and shouldn't be missed. Great place. AND the view from up too of the hill is beautiful!
The inside theater is quite small. But it felt more intimate than constricting. The production we saw was a great example of community theatre, low budget, amateur acting, fun, casual and charming. We'd go back and will recommend it to others.
This place is so nice to visit. The light's, and all the other thing's to see are just amazing.
This place is full of love, warmth, and compassion. The single most emotionally charged time I have ever experienced in my life was spent here, and total strangers were there to help me open my heart and realize, though my Mother was gone,She is still walking with me, always. God Bless you All.
Trail of lights gets better every year... This year was no exception! Great!
Loved going through the park with all the lights. I want to visit again in the daytime to better see the memorial. Beautiful.
The Trail of Lights is a magical place to visit in the winter months. As our first time visiting Texas, we were grateful to be made aware of such a wonderful experience for the whole family. I can only imagine that the performances throughout other season are just as great and would love to come back with the family again.
Anyone who loves Christmas should visit the Emilyann Theatre's walk through trail outside of the theatre. It's located in Wimberley, TX. I, along with another car, thought this was supposed to be a drive or walk through trail according to what I saw on a site online. The other car saw they couldn't drive through though and left. We decided we would walk a little of it. The volunteers were very friendly. They do take donations and offer free hot chocolate and marshmallows for roasting. Lots to see as the town's shops puts this together for others' enjoyment. Be aware that the parking is in gravel, the trails have hills and uneven ground. It may not be for those in wheelchairs or unstable.
Love the Emilyann Theatre! The productions are always fabulous, the gardens are beautiful, and the directors & actors are amazingly talented!
So very much enjoyed their holiday lights... beautiful, cozy, and perfectly wimberley!
It's another great holiday experience at Wimberley's trail of lights
A family tradition a must see for children of all ages.
Small enough venue to easily keep track of your kids.
We had a great time wandering around the grounds. Would be better a little later in spring after the leaves and flowers start blooming. Lots to see. Look forward to going back to see a production.
Saw Pride and Prejudice there. Wonderfully done play, they make the most of the space and provide an artful atmosphere.
Never a disappointment, always evolving property improvements and lively entertainment. Wonderful staff and volunteers. From Summer Shakespeare to musicals, youth productions and Winter Trail of Lights, there's never a dull moment.
It is an awesome place in this Christmas Season. I did not expect the size of the trail of light. You can see there are so many people and organisation contribute this event. The best part is free. But I highly recommend to donate and contribute this place and keep the event continue for the community. You can see front my photos. But they are only small part of the event. It is worth to travel from Austin to this place. Wish I can visit next year. It is one of the most favor place in our family vacation thid year.
What a wonderful place she say a play or just wander the walkways. Totally awesome
Great place to go, they offer a lot of different events
Christmas trail of lights was amazing! Great hometown feeling. Thank you to Creekside Cookers for the complementary sandwich and hot cocoa.
Beautiful gardens, well-maintained paths as ND very special hilltop Memorial to all branches of the military make this tribute park a "must see" in Wimberley. Don't miss the XMAS Trail of Lights and April Butterfly Release of thousands of butterflies. Most known as a Shakespearean Theater and acting destination. Classy operation operated by classy folks as a tribute to those who have lost young family members. We frequent often. Donations accepted, and worthwhile.
Love the Emily Ann Theatre. It's a beautiful place.
Love this place! Just left the Trail of Lights. What a wonderful experience! The lights are beautiful, the gardens are amazing and there was free hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows. Definitely a must every year!
It's a joy to go at Christmas. Donates are welcomed to keep the lights going since these are projects created by the local community. Granted though, go early since its harder to find parking space near the entrance but if you are up for a walk, then park where you can find it. Christmas eve has really low activity and don't mind it if half of the lights are burned out.
We live this place and have been coming to it for about 10 years now. My kids enjoy their theater shows and festivals!
Lots and lots of lights during Christmas and fun theatre programming.
This is where I went for Wimberley Trail if lights. It was adorable and they had a bond fire where you can do stores! They also had a tractor with cars that they drove the kids around on and a little show that they put on.
Wonderful experience. Outdoor production. Beautiful setting. Come early and enjoy the garden.
Very small theater
Close to actors. Play excellent
Truly some if the kindest and most sincere people I've ever met that envisioned and still operate Emily Ann Theatre. It is a heavenly place in the truest since of the word. If you have a chance to partake in the activities here, do...and you'll be pleased you did!
Loved it more before social media brought the crowds. Still come because well it's Wimberly
Summer student productions are a great way to support future artists. Nice setting with a beautiful backstory.
Small theater in the round. Reasonably priced tickets. Drama production.
Beautiful experience! Great for family! Just be prepared for uneven terrain.
