Disingenuous and unhelpful after they lure you in....

Disingenuous and unhelpful after they lure you in.

Lots of issues since I booked it the move. Took weeks to get a time slot, which was outside the time I was promised. Even then the driver turned up later than the agreed time frame anyway. Fine. It happens.

After the move I was presented with a extra bill. The reason was:
1- move took longer and they had to pay driver over time (after 3pm),
2- a lot more items than initially quoted,
3- TV too heavy and
4- driver needed my help.

1- Iwas promised the length of time wouldn't matter. The driver turned up half an hour before his shift was meant to end. No move was gonna finish in half an hour.

2- Then I realised the driver billed me for 3 small Waitrose plastic bags, a long umbrella and my handbags as extra items (which he didn't move) so the total went over the quote by a quite a few. Billing me for handbags and plastic bags?! And for the move he didn't do??brilliant

3- The only thing he struggled with was the tv, which I was able to move on my own. So not sure why he had problems with it especially he had a trolley.

4- finally I helped the move out of the kindness of my heart. Not because he was struggling. But I was bill for my effort.

When I raised it, the accounts didn't care. I called the client manager who used to be responsive. Now he was on radio silence.

Now I had to pay the extra to avoid them charging me interest on outstanding amount.

Taking this to consumer protection.
