I really liked my experience with Southtree and their streamlined ordering process. Initially, I was a little hesitant to send my vhs tapes to anyone by mail due to fear of breaking them, but after looking at their website and speaking with their agent on the phone, I felt at ease and sent the tapes in for processing. I received them back and we are enjoying the videos. Thank you!!

Great customer service! Quick turnaround time too. I entrusted some 30-year-old cassette tapes to Southtree and am so glad that I did! I was able to track their progress in the duplication process through links that Southtree emailed to me. When the CDs were sent and finally arrived at our house, I immediately tried one to check on the sound quality. It was crystal clear. I was overjoyed as these were sound tracks of our teenage daughter who had died in the 1980s. What a joy to hear her voice again. Thank you, Southtree, for giving this mom a chance to hear her child's voice again.

I had 250 very old slides converted to digital photos. The initial conversion resulted in about half of the pictures being so overexposed, they were basically useless. I contacted customer service and they were very helpful, friendly, and prompt. I explained what happened, showed examples of original slide quality and the overexposed digital conversion. They sent me a return label to return my slides and they reprocessed them free of charge. The turn around time on the reprocessing was only a couple of days and the result was amazing. The digital conversion of the slides turned out as I expected. Now we have old family photos to share with extended family for years to come. Thank you Southtree. I would highly recommend this company for converting old media.

I would be very cautious with your order if you decide to use these people. They sold me 20 pack...but they send you 4 extra labels that cost $15 each. I did not notice that, I just started applying labels to my tapes thinking that when I ran out of labels, I would have the 20 that I ordered. I later got billed for 4 additional tapes ($60). It was when I called them about the additional billing that they tell you they always send additional labels. Apparently the writing in very tiny on each additional label so if you dont read them or you make the assumption like me that you were sent the 20 labels you expected, you will get charged more. I told them i felt this was very deceptive of them and they feel it is up to the customer to notice the small writing on the labels. They would not even entertain any option other then give them more money. After getting back the tapes, I was not impressed at all on the quality or the thumb sticks or the video. They claim to be able to adjust tracking and to improve the quality of older VHS tapes but the results were the same I was able to obtain using my own VCR/free downloadable software. I would say save your money and do it yourself. Not happy at all with this situation...wont recommend or use them again.

Having never used a service like this before, I was concerned that the process would be difficult and timely. Boy was I wrong! The entire process was so easy and relatively quick given the number of VCHS tapes we had. The best part was how Southtree kept me updated via email every single step of the way. It was comforting to know that they treated my treasured tapes just as though they were their own! A couple of videos were damaged, so they quickly refunded me the amount for those tapes. Talk about amazing service! Southtree, you rock! Thank you for the memories!

Highly recommend these folks. Had old Super 8 movies starting from 44 years ago and they converted all of them. The precious memories they put into digital format. Honestly had to cry seeing those that have passed on and young children that are now in their 40s and 50s. (and not saying how old I am!!!!)

I have used Southtree numerous times for converting photos, film reels, VCR tapes, etc. They are awesome! Quality is perfect, service is fast, and pricing is much cheaper than I could do it on my own.

I sent 12 of my family's home videos in VHS format to Southtree in hopes I could get them converted to a more modern format (DVD!) and was SUPER HAPPY with the service and the result. I had several reels of old home movies that I had been storing for years. When I got a coupon from Southtree, I used their service. They put all my gears to rest. My tapes had been converted to CDs with great quality, my reels were returned to me and the service took only 2 weeks. I would use Southtree again.

I made an order in December, and got confirmation it was received on Dec 28th. They took until January 14th to "sort" and "Queue" my order. It's now February 14th, and my tapes still haven't moved from "Sorted" on January 14th. It hasn't moved. I'm starting to get frustrated. This was supposed to be a gift for my mother's 60th birthday on Feb 3rd. I was hoping it would be done by then.

I have used Southtree several times to convert my old home VHS and MiniDV films to DVD. They are the best by far. I used a couple of other companies and was disappointed. I will be using Southtree to complete my home movie collection. Southtree is fast and efficient and very pleasant to deal with. They truly understand good customer service. I had a couple of issues with orders and they were dealt with promptly. Return postage was covered and I had the corrected discs returned in no time.

I was shocked to see less than excellent reviews from Southtree! I purchased 2 groupons and sent our 8mm tapes to be converted. I was nervous putting them in the mail but shortly received an email they had been received and the process began! Within a couple of months I had received updates and the finished product was at my door. They were packaged nicely and the quality was excellent. We are so happy we will be able to enjoy our family memories for years to come. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend Southtree!

Southtree does good work. I have received my first 24 video transfers of the 120 that I submitted in three batches. The videos look pretty good overall. One is rough quality, but they did contact me ahead of time to advise me of the poor source tape. Southtree's communication is very good. I appreciate the updates via email each time my order moves to the next step. I chose online download as my delivery method and that process is easy to follow. Overall, I give Southtree five stars. I have seen the quality of the nation's largest department store as well as the quality of a national drug store for video transfers. Southtree far outshines these other less-expensive transfer services. With video transfers, you get what you pay for, so spend more and you will receive better quality. Southtree is competitively priced for their services and slightly less expensive than another company that advertises nationally. I am quite happy with the service so far. Seeing memories that I forgot I ever recorded -- that is truly a joy. Save your memories now before your video tapes degrade to a point where there cannot be recovered.

Horrible experience, it took three separate times to get my order right.

I have 226 videos I need digitalized. I sent them 24 as a testor. It has been problem after problem after problem! They won t get the other 202 videos, and I am seriously considering filing a PayPal dispute to get a refund! Check their employee reviews on Glassdoor and Indeed. They slave their employees, so I guess the employees don t have time to use LOGIC when doing their jobs. Look at the last line of the employee review I m attaching to this post as a picture. Unfortunately, customers suffer the most. I definitely suffered!!!!!

Too bad zero stars isn't an option. They lost 12 of my VHS and Betamax tapes and are basically unrepentant for it. The customer service was ridiculous basically trying to blame the US postal service. I had a USPS tracking number which told me the exact date and time it was delivered. They just couldn't admit to me that they lost all of my tapes. PLEASE, IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT YOUR MEMORIES DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. SIMPLY THE WORST!

I heard about Southtree through Groupon and jumped all over the opportunity because I had been wanting to convert our 3mm tapes for years. We could not watch any of our videos because our video recorder broke and I don't even think they make that type anymore. Using Southtree was so easy! Their website walks you clearly through all your options and makes it so easy to just package everything up and send it off. And I forgot that I get all my originals back too, which is great "just in case". I received my DVDs back sooner than I thought and just before Christmas. They look great and the cost was definitely reasonable. Years after taking these videos, this past Christmas was filled with so much laughter as we sat around watching videos of the kids when they were young!! We were in tears! So pleased!

Wish I could give 0 stars. I'm devastated. They literally threw my wedding video in the trash. I ordered and sent two videos. I received one video. When I called to find out where my wedding video was they said I ordered two but sent one. Without care they opened the box I sent and took the larger of the videos. The wedding video was smaller. They never called the day they received my video to say, you ordered two but we only found one. Or checked the box more thoroughly knowing I ordered two videos. By the time I received one of the two videos I ordered, my wedding video was long gone in a dump somewhere. I don't know how a company that does something so important could be so careless.

We loved using Southtree! Our experience was so smooth. Everything is laid out perfectly for shipping. We are able to enjoy our family memories again!

I would give zero stars for this company if I could. We used Groupon to purchase a digital package. It cost me over $15 to ship my tapes in. They did do all the tapes I sent. I will give them that much. However, of the tapes that I sent, only one was recognizable on the flash drive and that was a VHS that was composed of pictures and not video. The remaining videos maybe could have been watched on a 2x3 screen but anything larger pixelated to the point of not recognizing anyone. Southtree is apologetic but won't do anything about it since it was a Groupon purchase. They did offer to issue a credit and do more tapes for us. That would be a total waste of effort. Save your money and time and find a different company to work with.

What I thought was an amazing idea has brought me to the ultimate level of frustration! My girlfriend and I planned a trip to Florida to visit my family for the holidays. I thought it would be a great idea to send in the 20 VHS tapes from my childhood to have them converted to a thumb drive to watch and share with my girlfriend and my family during my visit. I packed up the videos and sent them in to Southtree. I received my order back in time for my trip to Florida, but the thumb drive contained someone else's videos! I immediately called customer service and spoke with an agent who said he was sending me a return label to ship all of the VHS tapes back to Southtree since you don't store the videos after they are converted. He explained that returns prioritized and he assured me that he would have my order expedited and shipped to me in Florida in time to share with my family before I left after the New Year. I followed up with Southtree every few days as I didn't see my order progressing online and got a different story each time. Each time I was told I would get a returned call, and never received one.
The day I retuned back home to Georgia, I got an email that my order shipped to Florida. I tried calling Southtree immediately but a message was up saying you weren't accepting calls but were answering emails. I sent an email that was never answered. I ended up calling FedEx to have them cancel the shipment so my whole life's videos weren't sent to an address in Florida that I was no longer at.
Monday, I finally received the shipment. To my chagrin, once again, the thumb drive was missing ALL of the videos (it contained one audio file) and the box contained DVDs for all of the videos. I don't own a DVD player and didn't order DVDs! I called customer service once more and after being told to ship everything back to Southtree again, I asked to speak with a supervisor. I was told one was not available but he would call me back shortly. I explained that every time I had been promised a call back I had not received one. The agent assured me she would personally follow up on it throughout the day and make sure he called me to discuss. Now 3 days later......still no call back.
I'm not one to complain on social media, but the amount of time and energy I have spent on this has brought me to a whole new level of frustration! I posted this same review on their Facebook page and they deleted it within a few hours instead of reaching out to resolve the issue. I noticed that any negative reviews to their FB page get deleted pretty quickly.

So happy to watch our memories! The quality on the DVDs is excellent! Thank you for keeping us informed through the entire process while converting our videos into DVDs. We will definitely use your company again!!!

This was such a great gift to give to my parents for Christmas! The quality of the videos are great and the time from sending out my videos and getting them back was fairly quick! Definitely will be sending more videos eventually. So nice being able to see all videos and be able to watch them on DVD and actually enjoy them again!

This company is really easy to work with and very upbeat and positive. My VCR tape was pretty old but they made good copies for me. I recommend them.

I sent 3 old VHS tapes to Southtree after spending weeks trying to convert them on my own. I finally realized that I didn't have the right equipment to transfer my own videos without audio sync issues. The digital files came back looking and sounding great. My only regret is not trying them to begin with.

I m SO happy that I finally got all of my vhs tapes converted to digital! Even with the holiday craziness, I received my order in only 2.5 weeks! My family is going to cry when they open this gift on Christmas morning and we get to watch childhood memories that we thought were lost. THANK YOU!

Had a bunch of 8mm tapes we had no way of viewing converted to DVD. Prices were unbeatable, customer service was top notch (I got updates on my order every step of the way), and turnaround was faster than I expected. Very pleased and have sent a few friends to them who were also thrilled with results.

They perfectly transitioned memories my family and I hadn t seen for decades into a watchable format. We all got together and watched just a few hours of the 50 tapes they digitized for us. I will say we were in zero rush whatsoever, but Southtree s website suggests a 4-6 week cap, and our total process was closer to 4 months including shipping. We aren t at all upset about this because we trusted them to handle our memories with care, and this timeframe may have been due to the fact that we sent 50 tapes. They even did something to make a very old and abused Hi-8 look quite watchable again. In all, I am beyond satisfied, and for the price I paid, I d do it all again.

Overcharged twice. I purchase a Groupon for 40 items and I sent 38 items. I got a bill for 18 additional items. I didn't even send 40 items how can I be billed for an additional 18?
Slow responses. Very disappointed. I would go elsewhere.

My husband and I are extremely pleased with the service, quality and price of getting our memories preserved by Southtree. Our grandchildren especially enjoyed seeing their parents as little kids.

Outstanding and meticulous service to bring old media into the modern jpg/mpg era.

I've used it twice: Once for a variety of now-obsolete videotape formats and the second for a mixed bag of photographs and negatives. In both cases a) the quality of the product was high b) it came back well organized despite the fact that I shipped the contents in chaos c) they let me know what the processing was from receipt of the materials through phases of imaging to the final shipment. So little chance to neurose about lost materials.

Tip: Time your use of their service to when they offer deep promotional discounts.

I couldn't of picked a more professional and attentive company to take my families only memories of my sister who passed away. Literally answered my questions via email, got my order expedited, and gave a refund do to a mistake I made without me asking!!!! You would be dumb to go to anyone else. I was very pleased with the work Southtree did for me. They were very concerned
with the safety of some tapes with a great deal of sentimental value to me. They kept me informed on the progress of my order and even redid one that I had mistakenly sent the wrong tape on. They were reliable and professional.

Quick service, very helpful on phone with fast results. I would recommend. It's ok to pay up front & get your box to fill as you find more photos...seemed strange at first but...a large video order done correctly, now all my photos .

I have used a couple different scanning services and they seemed to take about 6 - 8 weeks to turn around my pictures. I was amazed when I received my Southtree order back in 10 days! I thought it must have been a fluke, but I had three orders over two months and all three were turned around that fast. I liked that they sent updates of the order's progress as it proceeded.

I was having Southtree scan my prints before they faded any more than they already have. The quality of the digital copies are just as good as the prints. With a little Photoshop Elements touch-up they almost look as good as if they came from the original negatives.

I will continue to use Southtree and have already ordered two more sets of scans.

Had a great experience with Southtree. I think the most impressive part was their communication via email. They notified me every single step of the way - when my package arrived, when they started the copying process of my videos, etc. I ended up getting the videos and DVD's back even faster than I anticipated. Overall really enjoyed the easy process and plan to use them again.

So happy to have found this service. They did a good job considering how old the VHS tapes were. Because I loved the service I sent in ten more tapes and I'm looking forward to seeing them. Southtree took an audio tape I had made some 35 years ago and tranferred it onto 2 CDs. It's great and allows me to continue to listen to the (Christmas) music every year.
They did and excellent job-sound quality is excellent and I will use them again as the need arises.

I really liked the finished product of the CD that was produced from an old cassette tape. The only negative was that I sent a tape that was blank and instead of notifying me of this, they just went ahead and copied the blank tape to a CD. They should have advised before proceeding with the one tape....Otherwise, I was very happy with the results.

So pleased! Had 20 items converted to DVD and digital. Service was quick, quality was good, price was fair. Instant family treasures!

Extremely slow service, lost one of my tapes and not returning emails! Initially I received emails confirming my order, confirming receipt, confirming digitalization was starting...then nothing, silence for over a month. Eventually I called to check and was told they were still being processed, it was around 2-3+ months for my order to be returned. None of the discs were labelled and they mixed up several of the tapes in the wrong cases. The files were low quality and many were huge hour+ long files despite the majority having inly 20-30 min of content, no editing had been done whatsoever. At least I can fix that myself but the real bummer is that one tape was completely missing and not converted into a digital file. I checked and double checked the discs to make sure I hadn't missed it but it wasn't there. I've emailed several times at this point, the company hasn't bothered to respond. I would say if it's something you care about and don't want to lose don't use this service. Makes me wonder how many of these positive reviews are legit too. :/

I just received my DVDs back from South Tree and they look great. I was reluctant to hand over my precious original tapes of my family but no worries. They were returned to me along with my new easier to use and store DVDs. Thank you Southtree for doing such a good job.

Southtree did a great job on our home videos and I am sending more soon to be done. It was very fun watching these on DVD. I was pleased with the quality, and it was well worth the wait!

60 year old films were brought alive again. I couldn t rate Southtree any higher. The staff were incredibly responsive and kept me updated through out the process. The end product exceeded all expectations.

I recently found an old Beta max tape that contained very important events from my military service days. no one locally had the ability to play the tape, let alone transfer it to DVD format. I found Southtree and took a chance. The results were incredible. Taking into account the tape was over 20 years old and was transfer from VHS to Beta, the tape was viewable, the sound was good as well. I'm sending an old 16 mm movie found in my wife's mother archives. I have no doubt the experience will be the same. Thank you Southree

Very good service. I had negatives scanned and VHS taped digitized. All of the disks that were produced from this came well protected and the images were outstanding.

I had a great experience with Southtree. They kept you updated and processed my large order of 500+ pics quicker than the expected timeline. One picture cut off our heads out of about 550, so I'll take it. Pics looked good to. Definitely worth it for me. The 2 VHS tapes I converted also looked nice on DVD. Thanks Southtree!

I found this company wonderful. Not only were my DVDs made promptly, they were labeled, and my old tapes were sent back too. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to keep old memories, or like me, old exercise tapes that i enjoy daily.

I was extremely happy to find Southtree. I had some very old reel to reel tapes with my (now deceased) fathers vocal performances and practices, along with other valuable family recordings. I was very hesitant to put them in the mail for fear they could have been lost or mishandled. Everything was handled very professionally. I was kept up to date on the progress and even received them in time for Christmas when I was told I had missed the cut off for Christmas by one day. That made it even more special as it was a surprise for my sisters. I was very pleased with the results, they were very clear, a real feat given the age of the recordings. I now have some old films I will need to get put on disc. I will use Southtree for that process as well.

The experience was great, excellent work, fast service etc. We will use them again when the occasion arises and telling all our friends to use them also. Our 50th Wedding Anniversary went off with a great bang because now we could play the music from original band that we had 50 years ago and everyone was dancing to the music, thanks again.

Southtree - I stumbled across a great groupon offer from Southtree over the summer and purchased it. For years I have been hoping to transfer my old VHS tapes to DVD to be able to watch the many memories, I know I had tucked away in those storage boxes, with my family and friends. But as most things, life got in the way and I became too busy to research different avenues like purchasing equipment to do it myself and the cost factors were through the roof. I would see different offers at my local drug store for this type of work. but did I really want to trust my most treasured memories with someone behind the counter that would then ship my VHS tapes off to god knows where and pay $29.95 per tape transfer.. so for years they just sat. Until groupon shared this offer with me.. The entire experience from beginning to end was exceptional - First of all I emailed the company to check out their custom service skills.. and received a wonderfully uplifting and reassuring response to all of my crazy questions.. Once I was comfortable I received the instructions to begin shipping my VHS tapes to them.. the process was streamlined and I received updates every step of the way. I would receive update emails and just easily clicked on a link to see the progress or my order - it was great. I did about 28 VHS transfers with them and I am happy to say... each of the memories on those tapes meant something to everyone at our recent Thanksgiving Day feast.. So many family members that have passed away.. so many childhood memories my children had forgotten - It truly was worth every dollar spent to have our old VHS tapes converted to todays technology and now we can pass them on for generations to come. - Thanks Southtree. It was an easy process that was exceptional. I have used them for VHS to DVD/Digital conversion, Cassette Tape to DVD/Digital, Photo Negatives to DVD/Digital three separate times and all were great experiences. On the last order which was the negatives, I found some that were left out of the box. I emailed and was sent a link to have them processed. Will use them again if I find anymore items! Don't use this company! My family videos which were of my father n law who has passed away were lost. I have contacted this company multiple time and even spoke with a manager who tell me that they we look into this and call me back. They don't call back. I am still trying to find my videos. I had to contact UPS myself. Southtree has no interest in helping me find the videos. I will never be able to replaces my videos and this company could care less. No one there that I spoke with even cares. I can't believe a paid them to lose my family videos.

I like the fact that they let me know as soon as they receive my film, because I worry about it getting lost in the mail and no amount of insurance can replace these precious films. I don't mind the 6-8 week wait for the disc to be made because I am impressed with the high quality I am receiving for films that are 50 plus years old. Because of the high quality, this is the only company I will use.

Absolutely terrible. I sent in a couple VHS tapes to get transferred over to DVDs. I paid for a couple copies of each with the intent of giving them as Christmas gifts (that didn't happen). When the order arrived they didn't have the correct number of copies I paid for. I reached out to their customer service who said to mail them back and they would be rushed and a "lead tech" would expedite. That was the end of November. It is now the first week of January and still nothing. Now they aren't taking phone calls so they will only communicate via email. My initial order was placed Oct. 3rd. In 3 months they have been unable to fill my order. Use iMemories instead. They are great!

I used the conversion services from Southtree to transform around 500 slide images and a reel of 8mm film into beautiful digital photos and digitized home movie. This was my birthday gift to my dad for his 70th, and he could not have been happier! The ordering process was very simple, the layout of the website modern and classy and every step in the process was easy to understand. The best part was receiving the completed digitized images and film, along with the returned slides and 8mm, three weeks early!

I was nervous about mailing my only copies of VCR tapes because I knew they couldn't be replaced. Southtree let me know that they had received them. After that, they let me know about each step involved. I'm so grateful to them for preserving my treasures!

Southtree did an amazing job creating DVD's from my VHS tapes that I've had in storage for years. They are a great company to work with. I love how they send an email to let me know that they received my shipment and also, separate update emails as they are in the process of digitizing the products. I also love how they are always running sales on their services. I have sent two shipments to them already and will likely send another, as well as recommend them to friends who need digital copies of their treasured memories!

Waited 2 months and old movies from childhood all in reverse, both DVDs, everything backwards, cars driving backwards, people walking backwards. Same events were chopped up with other events in between- how did they do that? Did the film break and they patched it together in any old order? I made a mistake with using this company. I was nervous to send my pictures so far away via mail for this service, but I packed carefully and sent them off. Southtree sent me an email to acknowledge the order was received, updated me along the way, and sent a final shipment notification. They clearly understand how important these pictures are to their customers. They underpromised/overdelivered with their timeline- my order was done and shipped back to me within a week. I highly recommend them, I will be using them again as I continue digitizing my old pictures.

Southtree is amazing! I had been looking for someone to digitize my husband's old 8mm for MONTHS! No one would call me back. Some places were out of business. It was discouraging. Then my sister in law found Southtree. From my first communication until I received the finished product, Southtree sent me timely personalized updates. I highly recommend them !!! And they were reasonably priced.

I saw a Groupon ad for Southtree and knew I had several VHS tapes that I needed to have converted to DVDs, so thought this would be a great deal and it was!!!
I had 10 VHS tapes converted to DVDs and it was so great to watch them on the computer when I got them back from Southtree. I do not know of any company here that does this and felt that less than $7 a VHS tape was a great price. The DVDs are great and I will us this company again if I find any more VHS tapes that need conversion. Great company and good service.

February 2015 -Had 2 other VHS tapes converted to DVDs and again Southtree did a fantastic job!
February 2019 - Found 3 more VHS tapes and had them converted to DVDs and all to a thumbdrive. I gave 2 of the DVDs to my granddaughter as they were of her from 15-18 years ago. Southtree is such a great company!

I am very glad I used Southtree. I sent them some 40 yr old cassette tapes that were from a handheld small recorder. They are very good quality with a great job of cleaning up any trash noise. I am very impressed and my family has a durable record of my voice for years to come.

So, I purchased a Groupon for some tape conversions. This went great. The process went smoothly. Customer service was great. Thanks to the Southtree folks for a great experience.

I love Southtree. I am now working on selecting my second thousand of negatives and slides that I want digitized. Southtree has amazing customer service....kind and responsive. My first order of over 1000 items to digitize was mailed to Southtree a few weeks before my father passed into the non-physical. I called Southtree to ask if they could expedite my order so I could use some of the images in a slide show for my Dad's memorial. They agreed and even offered to do it for no extra charge. That simple act of kindness comforted me during my time of grief. The pictures were a hit at the memorial. Some of the images were not lined up correctly so Southtree offered to redo the entire order to correct the error. A few month later I purchased 5 coupons for $110 of service at a discount. My intention was to use the $550 to purchase Southtree's 1000 package. I have to admit I did not read fine print on the coupon offer closely where it said only one coupon per order. I contacted Southtree and told them of my error. They again came through and gave me a voucher for the 1000 package. I rarely have had such amazing kindness with customer support. I usually do not write reviews. I felt Southtree deserved a great one. Lots of love to the Southtree team.

This is the best way to have your old photos, videos, etc transferred to a DVD/CD. I had numerous 32 mm videos I had taken of my children but was not able to view them easily. I came across a discount ad for Southtree and thought I'd try it.
I sent in 14 - 32 mm films of past events some I remembered and others I wasn't too sure about. Once Southtree received our package, they updated us continuously of where the films were in the transferring process. Absolutely incredible company! After roughly 3 weeks I was sent an email that my DVD's were on their way home. They did a spectacular job! The pictures are clear and audible. I couldn't be happier, in fact, I will be sending a few more in that I recently found.
I highly recommend Southtree to have all your old treasures transferred to an easier format. You will not regret it!

I have used Southtree a number of time to convert my slides to digital format. They have always done an excellent job. Their tracking notices are very helpful and appreciated. You always know where you order is and when to expect it to be finished.

Southtree handled the Hi8 video transfer to DVD of some precious memories. I was constantly made aware via email when they received, completed and shipped my order. Was very happy with the final product.

Mailed in approximately 50 videos in 2 separate shipments. They all came back with the originals and the process took less then 2 months from beginning to end.

I would like to personally say that having all our old tapes converted to DVD was the best thing I have done in a long time. The quality of the 25 year old tapes is great. We have watched several of the DVD's but still have a lot to go. It has been so much fun going back in time with our kids and see them grow up again. Keep up the great work!

Couldn't imagine a worse experience. I had over a dozen personal video cassettes and a few audio cassettes for transfer. Bought an expensive package. Months later they send me some audio cds, but none of my video. They are impossible to get ahold of on the phone or via e-mail. No support. No accountability. Still unresolved. I am gravely concerned my video content is lost forever;

This is a great business to work with and they do excellent work. I have sent all our families old VHS tapes and VHS-C cassettes to Southtree to be converted to DVDs for safer keeping. They often run 40-50% off sales and offer Groupons, so you can get great prices too. Don't hesitate to trust them for your audio and video transfer needs.

My experience was excellent from start to finish. I was amazed at how easy they made it to send my tapes in to create DVDs. The nice touch, I thought, was the updates I received through email all through the process. It made me feel very safe and secure that my precious moments with my kids, including the birth of my son, were being handled with care. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to transform outdated tapes into lasting forms of memories!

I was not at all happy with Southtree. It took them more than 3 months for them to send me the digitized copies. They could not track my supplemental payment for extra tapes until I asked them about delivery. The order number could never be found on their website for tracking progress. I have to write to them every time. On the plus side, they were responsive but there was little information content in their emails.

I will never use their service again.

I was a little worried packing up all of our old videos and sending them so far away but this company was terrific and I had no reason to worry. From start to finish I was sent emails telling me when they received the tapes, what they were doing and when they were shipped. The quality is great and we now have all of our memories on convenient DVDs for us to watch over and over. Great company. I would recommend them to anyone!

what a great company! I had a vcr tape that my mom had made from 38mm films from our child hood. I saw an ad for Southtree in Groupons and wanted to get it converted to a DVD. their web site is awesome, easy to use and you get a feel for what the company is all about. and they really seem passionate about what they are doing. these tapes and old film that they are preserving for familys is just such a great service. Very Happy with my DVD, going to surprise my sister with a copy!

I sent 12 cassette tapes to convert to CDs. I am amazed that what I received back was 30 discs each one 1 hour in length with the music
non stop on each disc. I am disappointed. I expected too much I guess.
The price was right and the cassettes were on a CD but,.... 1- hour of
non-stop music?!?!!!
Not worth it to me. I should have asked questions.
