All I can say is Southtree is a great company to work with. I am very protective of my old videos and pictures and my experience was wonderful. I plan on using them to copy all my old movies!

Almost every picture that was scanned had distortion. When scanned by our own scanners we didn't have the same issue therefore it must have been something with the scanner at SouthTree. I really hate to leave a negative review, but $350 later and the pictures aren't great is a problem.

Also we had multiples that "couldn't" be scanned and were returned with a message saying that the items were in a format that could not be digitized.

However SouthTree didn't have a problem charging us for each and every photo in the photobook. They didn't call or offer a refund they just didn't scan the photos. The photos were mostly 3x5's and some 5x7's. Not really a "format" that they should have a problem with.

We dropped off all of the photos to the local site, so they should have been able to tell us then that they couldn't scan them. Also we asked to have a rush processing put in, which they did scan that day, but when asked if we could just pick them up (since they are less than 5 miles from us), they said the policy is they are shipped back out. I completely understand policy, and since we are local expected it to be only 1 day anyways. However SouthTree uses a cheap service from fedex that required it to leave their facility travel over 3 hours south to another city, then shipped back to us 5 days later. 1 mile per day is a little ridiculous don't you think?

All in all, don't trust them with your photos. Bad quality, and horrible policies causing issues if you need them quickly.

I recently received the old family movies that I sent in to be transferred to digital format. I can not express how absolutely happy/delighted I am that I found your company. The movies that were taken by my dad with the old (old) camera produced film of daughter when she was just a baby. I have recommended you guys to everyone that ask me and I plan on continuing to use you in the future (since my Dad still had tons of old movies). Thank you so much for your excellent work and let's not leave out the amazing customer service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Wonderful customer service. They make it so easy to send video film and tapes. The finished product (DVD, Flash Drive, or Digital Download) is just like the originals! Love being able to watch old family movies in a flash. I had 5 film items transferred, and have 20 more I'm sending over time.

I had several cassette tape with video that I was not able to upload to my new computer. I came across a coupon for Southtree and decided to give it a try. The whole process was very straightforward and smooth. After I sent my tapes in I had them back in approximately two weeks - which was pretty close to the time frame they originally gave me - and the whole time I was getting updates by email on where they were in the process. I also contacted them on Facebook about my order and they got back to me very promptly. I would definitely recommend.

Wish I could post no stars ... simply stated - this company - or should I say it s representatives - do not care about their customers. It s a for profit business that is so automated - it lacks the basic skills and attentiveness to treat its customers correctly.

Can t wait for a response - probably won t get one - from someone who reads the details of my order. They should be ashamed.

This was just great! I loved the attention to details, the repeated reassurance that my memories where in good hands and taken care of, and how fast the service was.
The introductory discount made it just perfect. Highly recommended!

They are inexpensive but that is it. They are extremely slow in getting my DVDs converted and back to me and took over 2 months. All were very washed out. I have since found out that Southtree converts their DVDs at 320 x 240 resolution which is half the quality of standard 8 mm quality of 640 x 480 resolution which is how the video was actually recorded. So the price is low and the quality is lower. I will have pay to get someone to convert them again at the original quality. So I wasted $400 to get horrible quality

I have used this service several times for 8mm tape/vhs and photos to digital. The results are amazing, the customer service top notch and really just an all around amazing experience.

I would definitely recommend Southtree for your digital needs!!!

Get those old tapes out and send them in! I have been enjoying watching my children grow up again! Fast service and good quality.

I have been wanting some cassette tapes transferred to cds. Southtree did a fantastic job. They had them back to me in a week. Very fast service. I love how they keep you up to date with the entire process. I'm highly satisfied. Thank you southtree for bringing back many musical memories for me! :)

I still have not received anything from Southtree but grief. I ordered through an Amazon special before Christmas. Was supposed to receive free shipping coupon to send my VHS tapes as promised in Amazon description. The representative who answered my email asked me to send my access code so she could assist me but I have heard nothing from Southtree since then. Very disappointed with Amazon and Southtree for the lack of assistance.

Literally takes forever....... I respect really hard work due to quality, but 6 weeks is a long time to wait. Next time I will go to someone locally.

I ordered and paid for CD's and thumb drive. I got one 1 thumb drive only. Since I have no idea how to get the ones I want to CD's, it is useless!! Will never use again.

Southtree did a quality job converting my VHS tapes to DVD. Their website made it easy to order and their prices (with discount) were very reasonable.
I have enjoyed watching these DVDs - wonderful, priceless memories!
They also have great customer support.

Southtree was able to convert a 25 year old cassette tape to CD. I had been unable to hear any of the audio, but they retrieved it. My only negative is it takes a couple of months to get your item back. I wish they could speed the process up.

It was excellent. We liked it so much that we're sending another batch of old Super 8 movies this afternoon to have them transferred to DVD.

We discovered an old reel-to-reel and had no idea what was on it. Sent to Southtree, and they were amazing! It was nice having the updates along the way--letting us know the progress. It took some time, but well worth it. We were so excited when we received the CD! It was not what I had thought it might be; however, it was neat to listen to. I would definitely recommend Southtree and will definitely return whenever I need to!

It was easy to box up my old tapes and send them to Southtree. If I had any questions, they were right there to help! Periodically I would receive an email update as to the status of my order. Everything came back in great shape, including the originals. The CDs are perfect! We have had a great time watching things we thought were gone forever. I plan on having more tapes done as soon as possible. These memories are priceless!!!

I love what I was able to get back, BUT I still have (14) 3 reels and 2 tapes that THEY DON T KNOW WHERE THEY ARE. I shipped 3 orders in all together in the same box and had all of the necessary paperwork in the box. One person told me that I shouldn t have shipped multiple orders to them in the same box. I saw nothing where it said not to. I had a concern right away when I noticed that one of the orders was not updated and called them. I knew they received it because the other orders made it there. All they did was write a note connected to the order. Some people sound concerned when I talk to them, but I don t think they are taking any action besides writing down a note every time I call. They have never apologized or tried to make it right. I don t see how you can just leave items in a box and then lose them when all the paperwork and order info is there. I think this company is a great idea, but I think they are way in over their heads and too overwhelmed to make things right. It s been 8 MONTHS and they keep telling me I need to find my original shipment tracking order # from he post office when I discarded it when I KNEW MY PACKAGE MADE IT THERE. I feel like they are not taking responsibility at all. I m just sad. I like to give everyone chances and am very slow to write bad reviews because I understand mistakes happen, but when it is something like this (your memories) and not my fault at all, and they can t get it right (now seeing other reviews like this), they need to go into another business or get a better organizing system.

Had some old 8mm reels of my mom side of family southtree did an awesome job and now I get to enjoy some family history

Wanted to love this experience but it wasn t great. Took over 6 or 8 weeks to get my items digitized and the quality is really REALLY disappointing. Some of the photos I sent were really high quality but came back so low quality I'm going to have to send them elsewhere for digitization. Would not recommend Southtree.

Converted old photos and VHS to DVD. Great clarity, price and on time.

Having old family memories converted to digital was so easy! I sent them several types of tapes and film to convert over several different orders. I just got my first order back. It was a few old movies that my dad had on reel film. This film was 50 years old and had probably been stored in a garage box for most of that time. I wasn't expecting much but I got back some great footage! They weren't able to save everything but some footage looked like it had been shot yesterday - except for the clothing styles! Thank you Southtree for giving me the gift of passing these movies on to my family.

I must say my rating would be better if I was rating only my converted tapes. I have received my tapes back and so far everything seems in order.... THEN.... I received another box from them and to my surprise I received someone else order as well.. I have a box full of 8MM tapes that are not mine.. I first emailed Southtree asking for a return label as I cherish my memories and would hate to lose them but they kept telling me they were researching how to get me a return label?????? What?? I am overseas but I have access to the US Postal Service. It should not be that difficult.. I have contacted them, I have escalated to a supervisor and apparently not one of the people that works there can figure out how I can ship this via the US Post office.. Really?!? Needless to say I am still after two months of back and forth trying to get a return label to ship these tapes back to them.. I even asked them to give me the owner of the tapes email address as I am sure they would be willing to pay for the shipping themselves just to get their memories back.. DO NOT RISK YOUR MEMORIES WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

The timeframe from when I mailed my media to the actual delivery of the final product exceeded nearly 2 months! The order came back with my name mis-spelled despite very specific instructions and my original media had my name spelled correctly. I requested overnight delivery both ways for the inconvenience and was told that it was not an option. The overall quality of the final product was ok. I will use a local company in the future to receive media in a more timely manner.

I first heard about Southtree from a Groupon e-mail I received. I was pleased with the customer service, ease of shipping, accurate return date and the quality of the product. I used their VHS-DVD and Cassette Tape-CD services, but I would like to try other services in the future. I will definitely be using this company again!

I have used Southtree several times and have always been pleased with their service. They keep me informed as they make progress. And the process was much shorter than expected the last two times. They have transferred Super 8 films, DVDs and 8 mm cassettes. I especially like that I can get editable data disks along with my videos. I highly recommend them.

My husband lost his father last year, that was his absolute best friend and all he wanted after the funeral was to hear his voice one more time. Southtree made that happen with some old cassette tapes they had from vacations a few years back, i sent those to southtree who in turn transferred those to CD's and my husband was able to see and hear his father forever. What they provided to us will for ever exceed the price we paid them.. Thank you southtree!!! they were fast and the quality was impeccable

I have used Southtree a number of times, at least 6, to have videos and photographs digitized. They always did the work very quickly, and with a high degree of quality. I especially like the careful way they package my materials when they return them to me. Most of the time I have been able to find a discounted rate, either from their website, through a Groupon, etc. so the price has been very manageable. I highly recommend Southtree for digitizing any media you have.

I would recommend this company to friends and family and here is why:
They are competitively priced.
They send everything you need to ship your media.
They inform you via email every step of the way.
They notify you when final product is shipped. ( mine was about 3 weeks earlier than I expected )
They follow up after all is said and done.
I was somewhat disappointed in the amount of video on each disc but that was original operator error, in the dark ages when we were all using different formats and didn t really know what we were doing .
In closing, a good company and I would use them again!

My first experience with these guys was great, they were on the ball, my second experience was less than exemplary. They never communicated when my work was done. When they told me a due date it was always wrong. I had to ride them constantly. I can get this work done at a lot of other places but I wanted to use a local business. On my third try I received no order number, emails, or progress reports on any of my material. They may work better with a higher volume customer, but for the person trying to preserve their family memories with only a small amount of material, they do not seem to give that customer any priority, even though they market themselves to this audience.

Very poor at processing orders and customer service, once they realized they screwed up my order. Ordered and paid for many sets of DVDs I did not receive, and they were unwilling to expedite correcting the situation and making it right. Meanwhile, you wait months for the very slow processing while they inundate you with marketing emails on a daily basis.

They don't tell you upfront that it would take 2 to 3 months to complete the transfer service from beginning to end. They round-up as much orders as possible, charge the credit card, and make you wait for ever. I got some of my tapes done through Lotus Media, on Amazon. It took only 10 days between shipping, and having the files transferred and posted online.

I have used Southtree many times to process old film records to digital and given certificates as gifts. The process and the response when asking questions is such an awesome customer service. The end result is a product that you will be proud to own or give as a gift. Will use them as I find more needed recorded items to be updated.

Southtree handled decoding of our 50 year old Soviet era recordings very professionally. We were updated on the status after each step and they were very considerate with our request to accelerate the process due to time constraints we had. The results are amazing. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you Southtree!

Terrible experience with this company! They have awful customer service and their processing time is WAY longer than the advertised 2-4 weeks. Please do not trust your cherished memories with this company. Instead, look into a better more trustworthy company.

Good price however, took very long to process order and each video was not titled despite my efforts to input the data to each tape submitted.

I have been using this company to convert 8mm film I found in my father's house when he passed away.................. What they do is priceless! I couldn't be happier with them. Their customer service is superb! Love Love Love this place!!

Did a great job transferring both my VHS and Beta to CD. Considering the age of these
films they came out reasonably well and the shipping was quick but a little on the expensive side. I would suggest waiting for special offers before having this done.

The Holtzclaw South Tree location completely exceeded my expectations. I was on edge to give my tapes up. I'm getting married in two months, and my fiances father passed away recently. I wanted to have all the home movies of his father digitized as a gift for the wedding; needless to say though, it was a risk to sneak all the memories of his father out of the house and give them to strangers! I was concerned, for sure. They did a spectacular job, and were extremely quick! The staff was very friendly and took my situation with sensitivity. I will be coming back to them to digitalize more tapes and really appreciated their careful handling of such sensitive memories for my hubby to be! Thanks, South Tree!

Legacy Box/Southtree - whatever the name is ... did a wonderful job of capturing my slides to pictures. Something that would have taken me many many mannnnny
months to do. I can now let go of my old slides and actually see pieces of the past we haven't seen in years.

I suggest you use another service with better technology. Four of the tapes I paid for came out really bad even though I can watch them on my VCR perfectly fine. They would not offer me a refund or credit or the ability to send in another version on a different format. I really wanted to keep the video on those tapes, I will probably have to use one of their competitors like Legacy Box...

Video came out fine. Communication was fine, but they do not advertise that they can't convert audio on 8mm. Check your film to make sure yours does not contain audio. They told me after I paid and sent it in that they can't convert the audio on their equipment, now I have to send my Super8mm to another company for them to convert video AND audio on the 8mm reel.

I was extremely happy with my entire Southtree experience. In fact, I will be using them again within the next couple of weeks. The entire process was efficient, courteous and professional.

Use another company! I have been trying to get some information on where my order is and customer service is unwilling or unable to locate it. I keep being told they will get back to me and crickets!

Don't use. They don't tell you if you have audio on your film that you will get back a silent movie which is totally useless. They hide that info on their website instead of being upfront. They promised me a refund and then didn't follow through. Find another company to use!

Quick, safe, nicely copied. They keep you informed during the process. They also have awesome sales to make it affordable. My only complaint was a couple spelling mistakes on labeling the DVDs.

waaaaay to long turn around! I found a service 2 blocks from my home--turn around was 24 hours--I will take my business elsewhere!

The process was easy. Just use the scantron labels on each item to be processed. I used Baggies for bunches of 50 slides. Filled the box with 8mm movies and had everything converted to one memory drive. You have plenty of time to decide what you want to process. I will definitely use them again

Terrible service. I had 1000 slides digitized. There's a smudge mark on at least 15% of the digitized images in the same spot. The slides were taken using different cameras, by different families, and shown in different projectors and stored in separate homes. The only explanation is a smudge on the optics Southtree used to digitize the images. They have offered no remediation at all. In addition, they owe me for 4 DVD copies they never sent. I haven't even received a refund for those - aweful service - use this company at your own risk.

The process was simple, they update constantly along the way, and it came back to me within 3 weeks. We are having a blast watching them! It s an expensive project, but Southtree is priced competitively and it s worth the investment.

This is the BEST place for transferring your beloved tapes to DVDs. I am very pleased with the easy directions for mailing and the prompt service. My home movies and VHS tapes have been lovingly transferred to DVDs so that I may enjoy them for a long time.
I have told friends and family about Southtree and will use them again in the future.

I have had old VHS tapes converted previously by another company. They did an ordinary job. I then got a coupon to Southtree and decided to give them a try. I sent in 27 old VHS tapes. My expectations were exceeded in every way by their service. They sent me friendly and informative emails on a regular basis keeping me informed about every step they were taking. The most positive part of their service was the speed in which they got the job done. I got my old tapes and my new DVDs in record time - far exceeding the speed of my previous service provider. The DVDs themselves were quality work. I would highy recommend Southtree's service.

Southtree is amazing! I wish every industry provided this level of customer service. I was nervous about sending my only copy of VHS tapes of home movies over 40 years old (originally on reel to reel) but they sent me email updates so I knew exactly where my tapes were, that they were secure and what stage of processing they were in. I read the story of this company on line prior to using them and these kids are amazing. Tell me your next venture and I will invest!!!!!!!

I saved a cassette tape for 28 years hoping that one day I would be able to transfer the contents to a CD for my granddaughter. I wanted my granddaughter to be able to share the happy moments of her singing and having conversation with Grandma when she was two to four years old so she could share it with her own children.

Southtree did an exceptional job in how they organize the process and keep you apprised of each step as it occurs so you know how things are coming along on their end.. I was very impressed with their system.

I work here. A great place to send your home movies photographs and audio recordings to have digitized

I had several old home movies on VCR tapes lying around the house collecting dust. I don't have a VCR player anymore so I didn't even know what was on the tapes. Fortunately, I came across an ad for Southtree online. I contacted them and sent my tapes to them for conversion to DVDs. They did an amazing job. They kept in contact with me, notifying when they received the tapes and their progress throughout the process. The finished products were awesome. We have had so much fun watching the cute videos of my kids (now 26 and 29) when they were so much younger. We are going to clean out the garage in hopes of finding more tapes to send to Southtree!

Southtree has been amazing. The prices are reasonable and the service is outstanding. A VHS tape I sent in was nearly 20 years old and was barely playable; they sent back a better digital copy than I was expecting along with a note that they could not correct some of the tracking issues. That tape would have been a total loss if not for the experts at Southtree!
My only issue is the initial shipping to Southtree seems to be awkward. I haven't tried it yet, but it appears they have addressed this with the "LegacyBox"; it looks like the perfect solution.

I had a number of old videos that I had little idea what was on them and thought I'd try Southtree. It worked out very well until I realized that I did not request data format so that I could edit the videos. Feeling stupid, I called customer service and they asked that I return the DVDs, which I did.. The Southtree folks converted the DVDs, covered the postage both ways all at their expense. What are the chances I would use them again ? 100%. If you need videos converted to DVDs, this is the company.

I had a great experience with Southtree. They kept me updated on where my VHS's were and I now have wonderful memories in a more modern form. I had tow VHS tapes converted to DVD.

I received the CDs today of the cassette tape I ordered transferred to CD by Southtree.

I am unbelievably disappointed.

It took about 50 days to process my order & get it back to me. I consider that to be a ridiculously unreasonable length of time to complete what should have been a relatively simple process for a company that professes to have the technical capability Southtree claims.

Secondly, there are 2 sides to the cassette I sent. The tape consisted of about 30 songs being sung by my son & daughter-in-law. The first 3 songs of side #1 of the cassette and the last song of side #2 were not copied to the CDs at all.

Again, I am deeply disappointed in the sloppy service & the amateurish product Southtree sent me and the length of time I had to wait to receive it

I will take every opportunity to make my displeasure with Southtree known.

I have sent video tapes and audio tapes for conversion to DVD and mpc disks. I have a disk player in my lap top and able to save them to my hard disk. They made good usable copies (improved) and handled my originals with care. All came home to me in excellent shape. Before I used them I was afraid to mail things off. Not any more!

I had forgotten what was on those old movies, and was so happy to see them again! Southtree did a great job of transferring 1950's reels to DVD's, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I bought a package through groupon. The price was great. I had 11 VHS tapes full of our only child growing up as well as of my late parents. Needless to say, these are our most precious memories. When we mailed them to Southtree, they acknowledged receipt as well as kept us posted on EVERY step of production. Not only that, they assured us that were being stored in a fire-proof storage room. We received back our original tapes in perfect condition as well as the DVD's containing high quality video. We couldn't have been more pleased. We highly recommend! You won't be sorry!

I had lots of Super 8 movies starting in 1967 going forward to the 80's. They are hard to show on the film reels. I sent a few to Southtree to put on DVD's and they turned out just beautiful. So I waited for a sale and then sent them all of them. They did the job and returned to me in a very short time. The DVD's turned out wonderful. I can't wait to let the whole family see them on Thanksgiving. Thanks Southtree for such a great job! I could not believe the quality!

The service is incredible. I was updated at each step of the process so I was not just sitting home waiting and wondering when I would get my digital product. My first order was a 1967 recording on an old audio reel from a radio station. I now have that memory in digital form. I have my second order there now and will be excited to get it.

I think they do a good job at a reasonable price, but be prepared to wait for your order. It usually takes more than a month. And it's hard to reach them by phone. They are only there Mon-Friday 10-4 when most people are working. You can email them but don't expect to get a response for several days.

Decent quality, reasonable prices but very slow process with few status updates.

My dad and I had over 30 VHS tapes (of various age and condition) of family videos and college stuff that I just kept "meaning to transfer." Soooo glad I found Southtree before I embarked on that journey. They turned my package around in 3 weeks, and the quality of the DVDs was superb. Don't get me wrong...if the condition was a bit crappy to begin with, then the images might not be up to snuff in your book...because that noise and distortion are also transferred (to a degree). I wasn't striving for perfection, because I understand how VHS tapes work and how they degrade. I was striving for preservation, and a way to make digital copies for friends and family. Since the DVDs are completely copyable...I got all of my wishes! A couple of months later, I shipped 100 old photographs to Southtree. I received in return a DVD of all the images! Awesome, and worth every cent. They have awesome sales, too.

An excellent experience, constantly kept up to date with progress of my order, will definitely use Southtree in the near future.

Finally, a source not only of converting my old 8mm movies to DVD, but also my valued reel-to-reel audio tapes that I thought would be lost forever. Southtree was reasonably priced, efficient, and kept me up to date on the progress of my order via email.

I used Southtree to digitize some VHS tapes. I chose them because of their great pricing and the reviews I'd read. I can't say enough good things about them!! They have great pricing and they always return the origional tape simply as a matter of "good business"; no extra cost was involved. So, had they converted something to to my liking I still had the origional, but I have no doubt that had I been unhappy for any reason they would have corrected or re-converted the files to my satisfaction. All coorespondence with the staff was nothing but A+++ professionalism. I wish all companie's were like this one! I don't digitize often, but this is definately my go-to place for that service!! Seriously, this is one of the best companies I've dealt with ever!!

I was impressed with the updates as my order went through their system until I got one that told me they couldn t copy my Betacam tapes. I paid for 2 day return shipping to get my previous tapes back in my hands, and they shipped them ground. Yay :(

Do NOT use this company. I sent several albums of photos that took me a very long time to organize. They did not return that way at all. Plus, they lost half of my pics and it took 2 phone calls to find them. Last of all, some of the photos are bent. Do not trust these people with your precious pictures.

Were unable to convert Mini DVD-r to full size DVD. Still charged my credit card. Sent 4 emails letting me know they had received my project and were working on it. Including one that said the work was completed and was being sent to me finished. When I opened the box it was just a note saying they couldn't convert this format (though it says on website they can). I have been on hold for nearly 2 hours on 3 occasions and no one answers the phone to help. Still trying to get this resolved.

If you are looking to have your valuable videos/pictures transferred, I would be leery and look elsewhere.

All I can say about this company is that they go the extra mile to get it as close to perfect as could be expected based on the physical conditions of the tape given them.

In my case I gave them a foreign PAL video tape I had gotten from England of an episode I couldn't find in the USA and so didn't know what condition it would be in since I couldn't view it on my NTSC only VCR.

I was very impressed with this company from beginning to end as they gave me blow by blow information in regards to how my tape was doing. That wasn't the most amazing thing however to me. What really impressed me about this company is based on the finished product I could see that they bent over backwards to make this a success.

Even though they put a sticker on the product apologizing for not being able to rehabilitate it to a flawless reproduction what I found was true dedication and true concern for the customer they were dealing with and here is why.

When I put the DVD into my player I noticed there was a menu with two subtitles. I didn't expect to see any as I opted not to pay the extra for titles but decided I would create my own when I had time. When I discovered why their were subtitles my respect for this company just skyrocketed because what I saw was a lot of toiling over my tape to get it as right as it could be.

You see the first title was there original attempt which was as their sticker said not so great. HOWEVER the second title which was the whole videotape again was much better in quality. I called them sharing my appreciation for the time they took to do this project and to think they would send me both of their conversions. SOUTH TREE told me they do this because they want to make sure they do everything in their power to get it right and if someone discovers a way that could better the condition of the product they will rerun it and then give the customer any attempt that was tried to make the project a success.

I just want to say a big thank you because of you SOUTH TREE I am able to view a show that is very rare to find and that in fact I would not have been able to do myself unless perhaps I wanted to invest in every piece of equipment needed and spend the time to do it but even than I would need an assistant so they took the headache out of it and for a very low price of less than $30 not only converted the tape to the North American Standard NTSC, not only did they digitalize the tape but they went the extra mile to redue the conversion when the first attempt was less then par for the finished work so that I could have an end product that was a joy to watch instead of giving headaches do to bad quality visual and audio.

Thank you SouthTree for working on my video tape that was in less than ideal condition and making it acceptable to watch and a pleasure to relive.

What a quick, safe and easy way to transfer tapes to DVDs. Went online, paid for the transfers, printed out the info and in a little over a week, had all my DVDs waiting for me when I got home from work. I will definitely use this company again and have recommended them to my friends.

An unforgiving, unhelpful, and generally compassionless business to work for. I apologize to customers on behalf of employees only scared about losing their job because of quotas that must unceasingly be met.

We packed up and shipped 28 of our precious VHS tapes to Southtree and within a few weeks received 28 DVDs and our tapes. The quality is amazingly great and we are relieved that we no longer have to worry about those deteriorating VHS tapes.

We were so pleased with our DVDs and that it only took about a month to get them back to us. It is difficult to send precious videos away, but we were kept up to date throughout the entire process. Sitting down with family and watching the DVDs of the old videos has been priceless. It brings back old memories of days gone by and of loved ones that we know longer have with us. We have already sent off all the rest of our old videos that were just gathering dust and look forward to many more hours of reliving even more memories. Thanks Southtree!

I was disappointed. It took two months after receiving my videos to start processing them, and then their "careful expert transfer and enhancement" took 1 day for 16 videos. Most of my videos had chunks I couldn't even make out. I'm not saying they had a lot to work with necessarily, but I was expecting more for the price and assurances.

When you find a Service like Southtree and your experience with them was INCREDIBLE....It makes you want to tell everyone about it! I would like to share with you all that you will not be disappointed should you try out Southtree Services.

Having moved a lot over the years, I kept moving the boxes of memorabilia (pictures, drawings, home movies) until I practically needed a room just for those items. After my last move, I decided to tackle the huge job of going through these items, tossing the ones that really didn't mean much, and trying to preserve the ones that brought a smile or a laugh.

I started with the box of home movies on VHS. Not many people even have a VHS player anymore, so what good were they? I was excited to learn about Southtree, and decided to give them a try. With their help, I was able to pare down the boxes of cumbersome video tapes to a much smaller box of DVD's. Some of the tapes were damaged and not salvageable, but most of them transferred just fine. That alone freed up a LOT of space.

Next came the photos, a process I still haven't completed. Again, what good are photos no one ever sees? I sent a large number of my favorite photographs to be transferred to a CD. I also bought a Pixstar Digital Frame, and now my children and grandchildren are entertained by the constant showing of pictures from their past or the past of their relatives.

The customer service has been good, too. The people have been very helpful when I have called. I wanted a certain segment of one of my home movies to be editable, so they agreed to put the DVD into a format that could be edited on my computer.

I have lost track of the number of orders I have sent to Southtree, but I am so glad to have found them. My next move will not be as hard!

I had 2 seperate orders for a total of 37 miniDV tapes from when my kids were babies. They did a FANTASTIC job on copying the tapes to DVD and thumb drive. I was nervous when I sent them out but they turned them around very fast kept me notified during the process. A great service to preserve my priceless videos.

I sent 12 small video tapes in to be converted to DVD. Southtree had the best prices I could find for the transfer from tapes to DVD. They sent directions about mailing. The turnaround was quite fast. Quality DVDs. Costco was twice as much!
So, I definitely recommend the ease of using Southtree.

I can not express how grateful I am to Southtree for saving my priceless ( well ,, to me anyway) 8mm movies of my time in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot... the film had been through a flood over thirty years ago and were buried in river mud and had not been shown since..Unforunately,, not all of the footage could be saved but the vast majority of it was and now I will be able to share my time there with other vets,

I sent Southtree a 37 year old cassette tape to convert to CD. The recording was of a conversation between me and my then 2-1/2 year old daughter. I fretted about sending this item across country to a company I knew little about. Turns out I had no reason to be concerned. Southtree let me know when they received the cassette and a short time later, when they shipped my CD's. The audio quality is excellent and the CD's were received much sooner than I expected.
