My initial experience was great the first night that I was there I didn t have any issues. My second night however at 3:30 in the morning a gentleman who I believe was intoxicated attempted to enter my room. As I kept telling him that he was at the wrong door he is still kept attempting to open my door I went to grab the phone in my room to call the front desk but ended up finding out that the phone in my room was not working. So I called the front desk using my cell phone and I spoke to a gentleman who I ended up finding out was the general manager. He told me he ll have security check the promises. That night I was up all night could not sleep and I had to wake up early the next day to travel home. The next morning I called the front desk and asked that I be escorted downstairs because I was still very much so fearful. I check out and I go home and realize that I should be compensated for the night that I was there because I did not have a good night. I called and asked to speak to the general manager and I was unable to get in contact with the general manager for two almost 3 weeks. I had to go through calling customer service in order for me to get in contact with the general manager. When I did get in contact with the general manager his attitude was not very much remorseful and pretty much told me that he will not award me a full Refund but will just compensate me for the one night. Initially I would ve been OK with the compensation for the one night. But the fact that I had to go through hoops to get in contact with this individual I felt as though it was unfair and then having to speak to him and having him not have a good attitude was another issue for me as well what I feel like I was supposed to be granted a full refund. So all in all my scoring for this hotel is a one if I could give it a zero I definitely would because of the general manager

The room is nice, small for the price. I called for breakfast twice, the first time at 6 (the time listed on their menus) and it just rang. I called the front desk and the said room service isn't available until 7. I called 15 minutes after 7 and a guy picked up and told me I couldn't order room service because the chef just arrived. This was after he put me on hold. I usually stay with my family when i come back to visit, now I wont have any second thoughts next time. Im not surprised though, it is still Brooklyn after all

Perfect location. Whether your visiting for vacation or business you can't go wrong. Walking distance to the Brooklyn bridge and the shopping stores on Fulton Ave. The hotel has many amenities pool, gym, bar, Wi-Fi, Starbucks in lobby and I am probably missing a few. A little tough to park, they do have valet service out front with a flat rate of 50$. Will definitely stay here again.

Not what it used to be.

Not what it used to be.
After our last visit (we spent the past 5 summers there) we decided to choose another hotel. We always booked the club room. At our last visit the club room was being renovated and when they reopened it only a few guests were allowed to use it. But I paid for it. We did not receive any compensation whatsoever.
So this summer we decided to stay at the Brooklyn and we loved it there.

This is our second time staying here

This is our second time staying here
(accidentally booked again). The first time was much better, maybe due to it being pre-covid. Our first room smelled like marijuana, so we requested a new room, it was immediately reassigned. Our second room was much better, but it wasn t that clean. Crumbs were still on the tv stand, you could feel the dirt on your feet as you walk, and the shower wasn t the cleanest. After day two, we noticed that housekeeping didn t come daily as usual, we asked the front desk and they said it was due to covid & it must be requested the day before...On check out day, housekeeping came knocking at 8am (waking us up), check out was at 12pm. It s not a terrible hotel.

Horrible parking corporate says they have valet parking and theres even a sign that says valet parking but workers stated they didnt have valet parking. Room service was supposed to be from 6:30am-11:00pm Sunday - Thursday (also called front desk to ensure these times which they confirmed to be accurate). I arrived on Sunday and tried ordering room service at 9:30pm and nobody answered the phone went downstairs to restaurant and was told it was closed but when I talked to a associate at front desk the next day was told they closed at 10. Rooms are nice but small for a 2 bed room not much space, bathrooms are very small but nice. Nice size tv in room. Ice machine on 11th floor didn't work. The lobby ran out of hand sanitizer Sunday and didn't refill until Tuesday even after being told multiple times it was empty. Room didn't have a fridge or microwave. Maybe somethings changed due to holiday If so this isn't a good place to travel to during holidays and they should also let people aware of the changes but they didn't.

when service was completed it seems management of hotel reneged on a deal for visitors pool use.
**NOT GOOD BUSINESS.**
If I was the visiting pastor and his guest's, I'd never step a toe back in that place. hotel management shouldn't use visitors from outta town like that.
visitors traveled from all across the tri-state area.
one family that had checked in to that hotel specifically for the retreat, was from way outta town and was wanting to be baptised, desperately,
(I was in the elevator with that guest).
I assume the visiting pastor only agreed upon staying at the Sheraton hotel in Brooklyn because pool use was included before bookings were completed. to me, that's taking advantage of the vulnerable in my book.
Sheraton Hotel in Brooklyn, skip it.
don't even look at it.

I am a platinum member at Starwood/Marriott and showed up at this hotel close to midnight after a long day of travel only to find the hotel had cancelled my reservation without telling me. They were booked solid so I was left without a place to stay at midnight. After speaking to corporate they said this was completely the fault of the hotel. They own the aloft next door and struggled to get me a room there and honor a rate comparable to what I had. Sheraton is supposed to be higher tier than aloft, frustrating to say the least. Bad.

Checking in the first night didn't go as smooth as I expected. Yet the front desk staff's personality and attitudes were nice. My key didn't work the next afternoon. I had to do a check in again and prove my reservation was for two days. And again Delia the front desk person was such a pleasant spirit that I did not mind the delay. The last day, When leaving she remembered my name and room number. She was the highlight of the Sheraton stay. #GreatStaff #GreatView #NoNorweiganAir!!!

From brown water to employees doing three bare minimum of their actual job! No ice available on any floor... yess I had to buy my own bag of ice. Smoking smell although the property was no smoking, then when we complained the front desk person argued that maybe I made it up in my mind. No enforce of mask wearing. Ohhhhh and of course everyone was a manager then couldn't do anything about these issues! Hated it, not ever going back!

STAY AWAY. I had an awful experience. When our party of four arrived late at night they could only offer us one king size bed. It left 2 of our party stranded in Brooklyn late at night. The reservations were made several months beforehand. The staff showed little interest in this fact. After 2 people in our party spending one night in another hotel, witch we paid for ourselves ,we finally got our reserved room, which was freezing cold and leaking windows. I have sent in a complaint, but the management have yet to show me the decency of a response. I will consider changing my resume if the management can do me the courtesy of answering my complaint. Again, STAY AWAY, there are better alternatives in Brooklyn.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room, but it was a little small. My first time staying in Brooklyn. This could be the norm for the price point. Very close to several subway stations.

Very nice, I stayed here years ago, before I purchased my house in Brooklyn. It s a lovely hotel, very clean, friendly staff, excellent food, amazing turndown service, excellent gym. I recommend it highly on every level.

Hotel was fine but not exceptional: small rooms as is typical for New York, with a shower that a larger person might struggle to fit into, but clean and comparatively quiet for its location. I loved that they have a full Starbucks in the lobby: made my day start well!

Some slightly concerning building work going on, with fire exits taped off. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Although the hotel was rather clean and the staff are amiable, I strongly feel that the security of this hotel was woefully lacking. I was in the fitness center one night and three Burly sized man were banging and kicking the door asking me to open door. I have strong reasons to believe that they were not hotel guests, since they did not have the access cards to the hotel facilities. Also, who knows what they are up to. I was really threatened. Fortunately, I was able to escape unscathed, away after they left. The vicinity don't seem very safe at night either, with random people shouting and acting all rowdy.

Breakfast was kinda mediocre as well.

I stay at this hotel almost every week. Rooms are clean and there are big suites available. Lounge is a big plus for gold/platinum members. They server breakfast in lounge and light snacks in evening. They also offer wine on certain days, which is quite impressive service. Staff is good and cater to needs as required. Close to Metrotech and other businesses.

GREAT HOTEL. Centrally located in Brooklyn (regardless of what part of New York you're staying in, the subways are closeby).I call this a Fantastic "jump off" spot. However, it's not just the physical location, but the extremely nice and accommodating staff and managers. I'm a Sheraton guy, so if you're not ONE - BECOME ONE - AND stay here. Great place and we'll be back again and again!

Hotel room had really bad smell, individuals at check-in not the best of help and had an attitude. Other staff during the two days were pleasant. Location was great, but due to the Hassel at check-in and room I'd look elsewhere before booking at this location again.

This hotel is wonderful. The rooms are much larger than many Manhattan hotels. There is a great pool and hot tub with lifeguards on site all day (very rare for NYC). Location is great - a ton of train lines are within a 5 minute walk and it's only 1 stop from Manhattan. Lots of restaurants and shopping surround it. Great housekeeping services and free water!

Good location. Great facilities. Work out room worthwhile - multiple machines for cardio, decent weights setup. Club lounge always had basics (water, sodas, coffee). Breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres were adequate - not delicious but definitely will get you through to your next meal.

Staff was fantastic. Jay was always kind and remembered me by name each night. Room was a bit smaller for the price but had a nice view and the beds were great. Only real complaint was the AC was not working great and could not get below 75.

The cleanliness standards in this hotel are lacking. My pillow had a stain. My Icebucket had food particles in it, the chair had crumbs in it. The overall upkeep needs major attention. Book a lower named hotel in the area for better quality.

Let me start by saying I Marriott Platinum and lifetime gold. I have over 400 nights at Marriott properties and I have never had as poor a customer service experience as I had today at the Sheraton Brooklyn New York. Every aspect of my interaction at this hotel can only be described as lazy. It started when I arrived at the valet, the valet made no attempt to acknowledge that we were there. We had to basically go knock on his enclosure. The check in was fine. I got to my room and it was not properly cleaned, there was sugar on the desk and it just didn't look very tidy. For instance the cordless phone was not on its charger so it was dead as I would find out later.

I was tired from a long flight so I thought I would go check out the club lounge and relax and have a snack and get a drink. I went to the club on the 2nd floor and the place was trashed, there was no food out, and the drink coolers were empty except for mountain dew. There was no employee in the club either. I decided to put all that behind me and walked to dinner.

I came back and was going to shower, I turned on the shower and went to hang up my dress shirts while it warmed up. I came back to a flooded bathroom because the shower was not draining. I used my towels to soak up as much as I could and called the front desk. I had to call twice to get someone to come up. They eventually sent up the "engineer" and he used a plunger and got the shower to drain. As soon as the water was draining from the shower he started to leave. He told me to call back down to the front desk and have them bring me new towels.

At this point there as a 1/4 inch of standing water in the bathroom. So I called back down to the front desk and asked that housekeeping come and take care of the water and bring new towels. I waited about 30 minutes and no one ever came. I called back down to the front desk and asked again, I spoke to the same person and she seemed not to remember the first conversation. So I asked again for housekeeping. Finally someone from housekeeping came up with new towels but did not have any cleaning supplies to take care of the water. The person from housekeeping seemed nice but did not speak English so I could not communicate to her that I needed the bathroom taken care. Just to be clear there is still a 1/4 inch of water in the bathroom at this point.

So next I went down to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. The woman and the man at the front desk informed me that there was no manager on duty and that I would have to wait till the morning. I asked if I could have housekeeping come up and fix it and they said I would have to wait. I then told them to send up some fresh towels and I would mop it up myself, which is what happened.

That is correct, I just had to clean a bathroom @marriott hotel.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Not only is the staff unaccommodating, unfriendly, and uninformative, I left the hotel Monday and I am still having issues with having my funds being released after my stay. I placed a major credit card on file during my stay but settled my bill with my debit card. I received an invoice after making a payment for my room and still was charged the same amount the day after checkout. After contacting the front desk several times, no one had any solutions other than wait 5 business days for my funds to be released; EVEN AFTER I ALREADY PAID FOR THE ROOM. Maybe if the staff was friendlier and more hospitable, it would be easier for me to be okay with $500 of my funds bring held for no reason. I will definitely never stay here again.

Front desk was less than friendly...even by NYC standards. Given the number of choices, appreciation of your customer matters. Expected more. That said, thanks to all the bellhops for understanding this concept. They were great!

This place could of been a nice stay.IF, they didn't charge us twice. 2 ladies at the front desk were really rude and not professional at all. Rather stay at a hostel if anything but deal with the people at the front desk at this location. But,not gonna lie. The room was nice and comfy. Only reason i gave it 2 stars.

Great hotel and very clean but they over charger me or charger me twice for the room. I paid $211for 2 night on booking.com and I was charger a extra $225 again and I didn t notice it until I actually check my account balance. Poor service as well

No Club Lounge and Valet only at $50 per day. If you have status with Starwood hotels, prepare to be treated like you don't have one. Only good point is its location. Will not be staying here again.

Staff was super nice & helpful. Room was very nice, enough space for 2 comfortably. Loved the bed, just soft enough!! Not too bothered by no free wifi. Great cable channels & an absolutely awesome area!!

There's a club on the rooftop. And we had made it clear that we had kids coming with us yet the room they gave us was right underneath the club. When we called down to the front desk asking about the music we heard at 9:30 they said it would be over by 10-10:30. At 11:30 the music was booming we called down and found out then the club is open until 2am! We changed rooms very quickly with no assistance from the hotel just room keys and the new room had extra furniture in it that made it almost impossible to put the crib in the room. Great shopping around the hotel and nicely furnished rooms though. Just don't expect to sleep well.

Great location! Really comfortable bed and pillows, fresh smelling towels everyday and nice hotel staffs even the cleaning lady.. Location wise also very strategic, it s very near to subway station, shopping areas and convenience store. Other good thing about the hotel is that it has its own Starbucks inside a plus point for me

I'm never booking with Sheraton again because of how rude and disrespectful the personnel was upon arrival. Additionally the room was different from what was promised upon booking. Horrible experience with this hotel

This is not a 4 star hotel, at best it is a 2 star. Hotel was overpriced, my room did not have a microwave or a fridge, the TV remote stopped working midway throughout the night, and the service was average. Also, you don't get access to the "rooftop lounge" unless you make a reservation beforehand, which was not effectively communicated prior to checking in. I've been to higher quality 3 star hotels for much cheaper. Save your money don't go here.

Small but comfortable rooms, modern decor, looks like newly renovated. Friendly and accommodating staff. The "club" lounge is great, more than you would expect at breakfast and coctail hour and 24/7 drinks and snacks, including a self serve Starbucks expresso, cappuccino, etc. machine

Clean, small rooms and friendly staff. The bathrooms are a little small as well. The AC works great. There is a Starbucks in the lobby and it's right near several metro stops into Manhattan. My only real complaint is the beds take the shape of your body a little too quickly and stay that way... and they're not memory foam.

kind and friendly support cleanliness and location in the heart of Brooklyn downtown makes this a great place to stay and one of the most comfortable beds on my 40 thousand miles a year travel schedule

Was here for an event. I did not stay as a guest. I did have drinks and food at the bar. Everything was great. Staff was helpful in locating my group's location. The hotel is convenient and close to many things in the downtown Brooklyn area.

I've stayed here dozens of times while working on a major project - hard to find better value for money right in the heart of downtown Brooklyn. Not impressive, but as an option when you just need a decent hotel in the area, it's hard to beat.

I've gotten to know the staff and they are great - no, they are amazing. I love Vivian, Alexander, Theressa, Marie, William (doorman), they are all great. Vivian in paticular has assisted me in so many ways and made my stays there comfortable. The room service is also excellent.

Now, that's actually not saying much frankly the hotel itself is not very impressive - old, outdated and in need of overhaul. One issue right now is that their ventilation is faulty and thus very noisy, there is construction going on across the street (not their fault), and the sound proofing is bad so the huge number of large parties that happen are difficult to control and thus sleep through. They are doing renovations however and once completed some issues may go away. Still, parties.

Horrible Experience! The staff was always less than helpful or interested in accommodating the guests. Our first room had broken A/C and pubic hair left in the shower. Once I asked for that to be fixed, they moved us to another floor, where the A/C was stuck on 66 and the sheets were dirty in one of the beds. After coming to fix the A/C and change the sheets (after a third call), we found that none of the new room keys we were issued worked. Fixed the keys, but then they wouldn't work for the elevator.
We hired hair and make-up artists to come to the hotel for a wedding and the concierge refused to assist them up the elevator, and we ended up thinking that one of them was 30 min late. Turns out that she had checked in at the front desk on time, but no one bothered to send notification.
The front desk (day) manager was incredibly rude and condescending when questioned about our terrible stay. She was the worst.
The list goes on and on, but i'll spare the boring details...
Needless to say, we will NEVER stay at this hotel again. They should be ashamed.

I give a 4 star because upon arrive the front desk receptionist that check me in @10:30 was absolutely amazing and kind including the clerk at starbucks next door he was so sweet, but the receptionist around 4 to 5pm was rude and cold at the time I was checking out, so that's why I took out one star, she just gave negative energy for absolutely no reason.

Full disclosure, we have not stayed here yet but we have seen the facilities and they are immaculate. We re currently planning a few room blocks for 2019 and the sales manager is more than accommodating. She was informative and was quick to answer any and all of our questions .

The front desk staff was also stellar, highly recommend.

I m a business traveller staying regularly in Bonvoy hotels. I ve been on the road for more than a week Just checked in on Friday night to be told that they have no laundry service until Monday. Handy because I m checking out on Monday morning. Now I have to buy clothes to make it through the rest of the trip. Lousy business hotel. Do not stay here.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. The only criticism I have is the lack of a pay-per-view options. After my wedding, I wanted to relax in the room with my wife and watch UFC 230; however, I was told that the hotel took away that option. I think they really missed the mark with that decision aside from that the hotel was fantastic.

The parking is poor. People park on both sides of Duffield Street. Too many obnoxious individuals double park: due to one of these I didn't have room to park. Two front desk staff employees, Aja and Ceti, did help me during my stay. The bed was comfortable. The hallway was nicely decorated.

Up until earlier this year I always stayed in Manhattan. Do to scarcity of rooms one time I stayed here. It is in a great location, the staff is great and the rooms are nice. Stay here a lot now.

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. We booked a suite for our large family with 3 kids under 6. Upon arrival we were told that we were downgraded to two junior rooms. The rooms were adjacent and not connecting. A key for one of the rooms did not work and it was never fixed and one of our kids got his hand jammed in the door. The staff, from managers to maintenance, are rude and unapologetic. The Mexican restaurant inside the hotel is disgusting. For the amount of amount that they charge for their rooms, please look for another hotel. Overall, a bad hotel with terrible management and subpar amenities.

I m very content with this place!!very clean and the people that work there are very nice they have a bar downstairs and a pool and gym it s worth the price a little overpriced the bar and the food but it s all worth it!!

The girl working the desk was extremely rude. I don't if she was having a bad day or what. I had a reservation that I was running late for. She told me that I could get ready in their public restroom. I asked to speak to a manager and she said verbatim "sure but she's just going to tell you what I already said." That's not what I asked you was my reply. The manager was more helpful, but there is just no true hospitality in this hotel. I will never stay here again. Thank God this is just a one night stay. As a native New Yorker I still expect better customer service. The room accommodations were nice and the hotel is in a convenient location but that is all.

Staff exceedingly friendly and helpful and bent over backwards to make sure I was pleased with my stay.

Central Brooklyn location. Rooms clean but very small. Nice views. First night my room next to elevator had irritating clicking noises coming from inside the wall. They happily switched my room with no problems the second night.

The Hotel needs to have their down comforter and toppers cleaned more often. Visibly dirty. They need a sheet to go over the top of the comforter and the regular bottom sheet should fold over the comforter and top sheet so that the comforter is completely covered top and bottom. It was kind of gross. That s why I had to give
3 Stars instead of 4.
