Our room was pretty clean, however, the top comforter had what appeared to be make-up on it and the sheets had spots on it which clearly can't be removed. That is the main reason why I always travel with my own bed linen. The one thing that REALLY sucks is the parking. There is hardly any street parking and the hotel's valet is $45. Doesn't sound too bad right? Well, you can't go in and out. So everytime you leave and come back to park your car, you have to pay another $45! I think that's pretty ridiculous.

room was clean and spacious, hotel staff were kind, but one of the three towels had yellow stains and the water pressure was horrific. shower would go from hot to cold without any intervention and the sink water would go from cold to boiling hot when trying to use ANY hot water from the sink. turning off the hot water after results in boiling water for about 2 minutes before turning to cold. ridiculous!

We came in for dinner on a Sunday night. It wasn't busy at all and so our service was terrific. Vasi (Not sure of spelling) was a really friendly waiter/ bartender that spoke Italian to us. The food was buono and the wine great price per bottle. Was a great dinner with good atmosphere and great service. Highly recommended.

Cheerful desk staff - but support staff was poor during my visit. Required 3 different calls and 1 full hour to provide an extra blanket for the rollaway bed. I believe they are better than that, and maybe I caught them on on off day, but for my 1 day trip on which I arrived at midnight, that snafu cost me & my colleague critical sleep before an early try-out. Thus, 2 stars for my visit.

Boring but competent hotel. Didn t quite understand why the bed needed two duvets, and why the 1m deep pool needed two lifeguards, and the ice dispenser only gave crushed ice, not cubed. AC is a bit noisy. Elevators are very fussy about keycards. But generally totally fine.

Our $300 a night room is freezing and the kids are too cold to sleep. I've been calling the desk for over an hour and a half for someone to come fix it. Or even look at it. Or do anything at all. Every call is answered with "we'll send someone right up". But no, they haven't sent anyone right up.

I think that's pretty much all you need to know about his place.

The rooms are not up to cleanliness standards at all. Stayed here while a model UN conference was going on. They hired private security guards who went around harassing guests who were not part of it and demanding IDs. Hotel management seemed perfectly fine with it. Total chaos.

No microwave or fridge was in the room. They had one microwave in a central location. I strongly believe the hotel and the other two located in that same.location are transitioning into shelter hotels for the homeless.

I am a Marriott loyalist, and my husband I pretty much only stay at Marriott properties. However, this Sheraton location was extremely disappointing. We arrived to the hotel at midnight, and the representatives at the front desk were playing uncensored rap music really loudly from their phone. I walked up to them, and had to speak up over the music because they did not turn it off.. or at least turn it down. I usually receive excellent customer service from Marriott, but this was definitely the exception.
The room was small, but that is to be expected in any NYC hotel. The problem with the room was the bathroom. There was no bath tub, and the shower just had a thin cloth shower curtain hanging from a rod with no barrier to keep the water from going to the rest of the bathroom... the floor was SOAKED with water after taking a shower and we had to use a bunch of towels to soak up all the water. Those poor housekeepers probably have a nightmare to clean up in every bathroom.

Like I said before, I am not one to complain, and I love Marriott properties, but these issues need to be addressed.

Overall, it was not a horrible stay. It's really close to a lot of shopping and good food, and there is a Starbucks in the lobby.

I would recommend to friends, and would even consider staying here again myself.

A terrible experience, never to be repeated. There are multiple other properties in the vicinity and I would make the effort to locate any other property for lodging or events. The employees and management demonstrated an astounding level of uncaring and unresponsive disregard. A truly terrible experience. There simply is no option to select negative stars.

Everything was GREAT! Except...the smell of cigarette smoke. It seemed like it was coming from the vents. It seems like they were recycling air from somewhere. It happens only at night. Otherwise the service and room were excellent!

I love this place! I definitely recommend you to go here. The employees are so kind and they help you whenever you need it. Also, the hotel is really comfortable. There are couches in the lobby and free beverages. There is also a Starbucks in the hotel and it has very good service. Perfect weekend getaway!

Pre-pandemic review - Sheraton Brooklyn Hotel does terrible job honoring suite night awards that were already confirmed. Any room on floor 8 or below floor room facing the street is going to hear Ubers, Lyft's and taxis constantly honking their horns all night until 4am. They have a night club on the roof top so you will hear all the drunk ppl shouting on the street. these are expensive rooms for very small amount of space. very sad excuse for a club lounge. you need special breakfast vouchers to use it...even if you are platinum member. <facepalm>. This is Brooklyn, you should do better.

Go to Hilton nearby. the rooms are $100 less expensive, much better customer service and also status recognition. I've been staying at Sheraton Brooklyn since 2008 and don't know why I keep giving them more chances to screw things up.

Very disappointing customer service. While this hotel may have a wonderful location , they fall down when it comes to customer service. Due to a computer glitch, 2 reservations were created instead of 1. When I called to cancel the reservation within the time frame, only one reservation was cancelled. Management did not understand this and I was forfeited .$200.00.
Really a shame as I never had a problem with a Sheraton prior. Won t be staying at. Sheraton again.

Hotel is layed out kind of weird when it comes to restaurant and rooftop. The room was clean and basic, for those of you looking for microwave and fridge they are not available.
Amenities such as gym and pool are very basic, and the pool hours are after 5 PM during the week.
The hotel is going through a renovation of all rooms. I did enjoy the stay staff is very friendly, and it conveniently had a Starbucks in the lobby.

My husband and I made reservations to stay here in August. I was very leary because of the reviews. When we first walked in, there were three people at the desk. None of them looked up so we waited a few minutes. Finally, one asked if we needed anything -- we were standing in a hotel lobby with suitcases in our hands! My husband told her that we needed to check in and we were there for a military event. From that moment, we were treated so well. I don't know why the change but everyone at the desk for the rest of the weekend was wonderfully nice. Our second night there, we went to the restaurant in the hotel. The waiter was very nice and the food was AMAZING. I would have given a rating of five stars if there had been a continental breakfast.

The service at the Sheraton was some of the best service at a hotel in have ever had. This is probably to make up for the small rooms, slow elevators and impossible parking. Again, the people were great but that's about all that was good with this place. Also, just a note, the Starbucks in the lobby will only accept exact change. They will not give you money back if you are paying with cash and the staff is rude as hell.

This experience was very much mixed. The staff at the front desk and in the hotel dining space were wonderful...but my compliments end there. I organized a three day event hosted at the Sheraton Brooklyn. Prior to the event, I had to perform an unreasonable amount of follow up calls and the coordinator was impossible to reach. He would promise to follow up with various emails and never did. Each time I received an invoice there were mistakes. This caused many last minute headaches which I had hoped to avoid by acting early. I felt very nickel and dimed throughout the entire process, and now days after the event, the hotel charged a personal credit card instead of the business credit card I provided.

My recommendation, if you are going for pleasure and wish to stay close to many metro stops-this is a great place. But do NOT host an event at this hotel.

Nice friendly staff. Modern amenities and building, design. 45" or bigger TV screens in rooms. Quiet rooms. TV menu guide browsing software is out dated and shows only what each channel network is, not what's on or will be showing next.

Great location in downtown Brooklyn, close to Fulton mall and subway stations. However, a bit annoying if driving because of parking, unless you don't mind paying for parking. Valet is $55 for a night. On the street is street cleaning on both sides alternating every day from midnight to 3am and meter from 9am to 7pm. Or there is a cheaper lot around the corner. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. There is also good views of the city.Staff seems professional. The wifi is not free, unless you are a member or pay by hour or day.

Bria the front desk supervisor was very accommodating, courteous and yet professional handeling my situation. Unlike the hotel Manager (Young African american male, dark skin) whom was very quick to dismiss me and send me along my way without verifying any of the information given. Luckily Bria came along whom was able to verify information in the comment section of my online reservation. Honestly, he was a jerk! How could he as a Manager be so quick to dismiss someone without even checking the system. Also the two young ladies upon my checkout were also great! ie: room was clean, food was great, quick room service. (-2 stars do to the Manager unwillingness and/or lack of knowledge to do his job) I will be back in the near future do to Bria's professionalism and courteous attitude.

My wife booked a weekend stay at the hotel, with m...

My wife booked a weekend stay at the hotel, with my younger brother joining us on the afternoon of December 14th. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed at departure and was delayed on arrival at JFK. I'd like to acknowledge that I realize that the hotel staff are not responsible for airline delays, however it was at this point that I believe we experienced a failure in hospitality.

My younger brother arrived on time and let us know that the person at the check in desk said he would need to be added to the reservation. Luckily, my wife was able to call the hotel and add his name to the reservation. Unluckily, he then let us know that he would need to put down a credit card for incidentals.

This is where I found that the staff that afternoon did not do everything possible to accomadate this situation. My younger brother is a student who works part time when possible. He has no credit card, nor the funds to cover the amount. Further, our room was paid in full until Monday. Ultimately, he was told he couldn't check in.

For the next 6 hours, my younger brother waited in the lobby for us to arrive.

When I arrived, I expressed my disappointment to the staff and the front office supervisor. I pointed out that we were only told to add his name on the reservation. I pointed out that the reservation was already paid for and that if our flight was delayed or canceled, would they have simply never allowed my family member to check in?

At this point I was made aware that a credit card authorization form could have been filed with the hotel. This was never relayed to my wife over the phone. During our entire flight, I had wifi access and could communicate with staff back at my office. We could have easily filled out the form and had it emailed and/or faxed back to the hospital promptly.

Sadly, this has negatively colored my perception of both Sheraton and Marriott.

Pros: the location was nice, the hotel was clean, the hotel staff was nice.

Cons: the whirlpool was not able to be used because the water temperature was too hot. The fitness room was not able to be used either. (They did give you access to their sister hotel next door but not as convenient.) There were no vending machines and the rooms were very small with little space to put your clothes. The view was of a construction zone.

Overall, it was too pricey for what you got. And just in case you don t know, valet parking for an SUV is $55 per night and you cannot go in and out. Important to know if you are driving in from out of town.

This was one of the best hotels ive stayed in in the world. The staff was wonderful from the cleaning ladies, the maintenence guys to the bartenders and front desk
5 stars isnt enough for them. Everyone their was courteous, well spoken and presentable. Great location, and view from the 20th floor. I couldnt thank you guys enough and i will definately be back.

The mexican restuarant/bar across the street is amazing. Try the fajitas there or the brunch Nd they make a mean bloody mary.

The gym was decent, pool wasnt over chlorinated and they even made you shower before going in.

Just watch out you dont demagnitize ur key by having it touch ur cc or ur phone- but thats everywhere.

Thanks you guys were all awesome and made my trip to nyc unforgettable. Percect location close to barclays and manhatten is 15 min$10 cab ride- 1/2 the price as manhatten- clean and safe here- brand new buildings going up there and they making that place awesome.

Only other complaint is they dont have a big sign that says sheraton on the building so i kept getting lost and had a tough time finding it there. Very close to shopping malls and everything u need.

Unfortunately this hotel was a disappointment on many levels.
1. We were immediately charged on our credit card upon arrival, for the whole stay, not upon checking out for the full 7 days.
2. Hotel is in my opinion shabby and somewhat dirty.
3. The MOLD in the ice from the ice maker, should be reported to the health district of New York.
4. I addressed it to the front desk, I was told the GENERAL MANAGER would call me. Never got a response from anyone.
5. The room was very small, even for two people, a horrible iron, no drawers and ripped up curtains.
The hotel is in bad shape and the this Property is a bad representation For SPG Properties.
We will never stay here again.

Sheraton Brooklyn New York Hotel is not a good place to spend your money.
I just left there and went to Marriott hotel which is couple of blocks away.
THE CARPET SMELLS VERY BAD AND DIRTY( IN THE ROOMS AND THE FRONT LOBBY)!!! THEY CHANGED THE ROOM AND IT WAS WORSE!!
I tried to be professional by asking the front desk to give me something to spray, they refused and they were VERY RUDE! THE MANAGER was worse!
I checked out! They refused to give me a receipt...
They gave me a pending one(receipt) after the police arrived....Marriott hotel is the best!! Im enjoying my stay now with Marriott....

The hotel room itself was extremely pleasant. The two full sized beds were very comfortable. However, the front desk service was very poor. No parking, the valet is expensive $50 no reentry. Our key didn't work on the elevator nor at the pool. Don't be fooled by the pictures the rooms are extremely small for the price. No microwave or fridge either. Not worth the money at all. I actually tried to cancel when i realized there was no parking. The app said it canceled successful but turned out it never did. So we ended up checking in extremely late $200 for maybe 9hrs

Very clean and hygienic rooms. The hotel staff were very helpful, friendly and polite specially loved the service from 'off the common' where I got my fresh fruit bowl every day.
10/10 on customer service. Close to airport (around 15 min by cab) and walkable distance to the subway.
You can walk to the north end to explore the Italian side and Boston Garden and library are at a close proximity.
Convenient location close to restaurants, super market and Trinity church.

With all the construction and mess you think they would have concierge or some form of staff outside to assist with baggage and valet. But No assistance from staff while you stand out there like lost tourists trying to get your baggage out the car and the valet sorted. They really need to re-evaluate their customer experience! Bad enough their website is misleading thinking there is parking, when in fact the only parking is Valet at $55 dollar a day! Was my first trip to NYC and boy was this hotel a let down, I ve had better service in third world hotels than at this hotel!

Fantastic customer service and an incredible location right in the finest parts of Brooklyn. The rooms are adequate if small, with some amenities but no minifridge. Fixtures and lamps a little old, plugs loose and barely functional. Large television, however, and extremely nice bathroom. The staff are great, however - very friendly and helpful, willing to make your stay a good one. Parking is ridiculously difficult and expensive.

Great location with lots of food and shopping. Public transport a breeze. There is a nightclub on the roof that plays good music. The hotel is ok, not upscale like most Sheratons. If you want an SPG hotel in Brooklyn, this is it. The staff really makes this place. They weren't able to give me a Platinum Upgrade as there wasn't one available for stay, but the woman at the front desk acknowledged my status nonetheless and kindly explained the situation. Rather than saying nothing which happens to me at other hotels more often than not.
The rooms are small but, you're in NYC...Plus, beds are comfy and bathrooms are clean and modern. Some of the rooms have a view of the Statue of Liberty and some have big balcony areas with loungers on them. If it's nice you can get some sun.
The breakfast in the Platinum/Executive club lounge is adequate. You can also order food, beer and wine the lounge from noon until 10:45 pm. Sodas, bottled water, juice, coffee, and tea are included.
The aloft next door has a rooftop bar.
All in all, it's the best SPG hotel in Brooklyn.

Basic hotel, not a Sheraton. Booked my corporate room on my AMEX, but their chip reader would not use it; attendants were rude and forced me to use a personal card - charged my personal card. I stayed here as working close by. The hotel was okay. My room was clean and comfortable and I slept well. Fairly high up so no issues with street noise, but it is on a fairly quiet side street in Brooklyn. Very convenient for subway, but you need to be aware it's 20-30 mins into the heart of Manhattan. I only had one room service meal, which was, as you'd expect, a bit expensive, but it was okay although nothing to get excited about. TV, coffee maker and free bottle of water, with a Starbucks next to reception.

Stayed here last week and opted for the club floor thinking it would be a better experience. Arrival was easy and valet was prompt. Check in was quick and I was put on the top floor. I figured what better place to be, but that s the last place you want to stay in this hotel.
The room was clean and decent size. Being a Marriott titanium I had access to the lounge. I went downstairs for the buffet layout and a drink. Afterwards I went back to my room where I was kept up all night by the HVAC units on the roof. It s not that the noise was extremely loud but the harmonics the resonated through the whole room and bed were ridiculous.
I do not know how they can expect anyone to sleep in that environment.

Still waiting for a response from Marriott and the hotel manager after expressing my displeasure.
