Location was good, lots to do near by. Rooms were clean, no complaint there. The only caveat was that we were not allowed to hang out / play card games in the lobby and there were no furnishings in the recreation area (chairs, tables, etc.) Price was a bit steep at $230 for the night. Booked in advance.

Older rooms. I liked the location and price. Lots of nearby construction. Everything with the front desk and staff was great. The Sheraton brand is reliable. Stay here and catch an Uber to Williamsburg for entertainment and all is good. Plus Manhattan is very close by the F train.
Very dirty room and moldy bathroom. They're doing some restoration in others rooms but I got a old one and I think they just don't care about the old rooms. Because they are old it doesn't mean you don't have to clean it. Too expensive for those rooms. Also, no refrigerator or microwave.
Good hotel with easy subway access to the financial district where I was working. Would have given 5 starts but the shower was extremely small in my room, the faucet handles in my bathroom was loose, and the key card quality (had to have my card replaced multiple times because it wouldn't work in the elevator or club lounge. Other than those issues the club lounge was pretty nice with eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and breakfast potatoes for hot items in additional to fresh fruit. Gym had more space than I was expect with two benches, tress tread mills, two ellipticals, two bikes and cable machine.
Slightly disappointed. I have stood in numerous Sheratons, it unfortunately this one is not exactly up to par. I spoke with management regarding the following issues;
There was blood on the towels ... literally like splattered blood... and I couldn t call down to the front desk as the phone didn t work So I had to send my partner down to ask for new towels. Absolutely unacceptable!
And there was hair on the pillows, I had to purchase new pillow cases locally!
I spoke with management and they of course understood my concerns, and offered a slight deduction on the room. Overall, I was not impressed and will likely not be back. The stars are for the customer service as they where efficient in addressing my issues.
Restaurant was okay. And the rooftop bar was inaccessible. Tons of people.
The hotel was very good overall. The bed was awesome, both mattress and pillows Room in excellent condition. Of course, the typical irritating hotel STINGY coffee in the room and virtually MICROSCOPIC bars of soap. so would they go bankrupt if they gave normal size soap or shampoo, when they charge a couple hundred $ a night. The staff was helpful and friendly. They were a high point. The main overriding complaint, is the breakfast in the lobby restaurant. OVERPRICED, NOT VERY GOOD, and SMALL PORTIONS $40 breakfast for 2 people, for what other hotels give FOR FREE as a complimentary breakfast buffet. Shameful. Go somewhere in the neighborhood for breakfast.
Wasn't bad had to change rooms bc of TV not working.. the beds are firm and hard which i did not like but my wife n kids did. The pool wasn't open due to covid. And downside theres no fridge or microwave in your room. Staff is very nice and helpful!
Horrible check-in. System was down so no key; have to rely on bell-staff to get you into room. With only 2 bell-staff and 2 front desk staff, getting into room was not convenient. Credit card authorization was done via pen and paper; they made you fill out your credit card and personal info on a form along with photocopy of your ID. Perfect scenario for identify theft. No Wifi. And no estimates re: when things will be fixed. "Should not take days," was the response. Hotel manager was home and no where to be found. Quickly checked into another hotel across the street.
I was on the 18th floor and it was still very noisy, could hear all traffic and police sirens all through the night, I would say quite lousy soundproofing. Secondly, all lights in the room have to be turned on/off individually, so cumbersome. Third, you have to pay for the WiFi! Lastly, it was annoying not to have the rooftop open on a weeknight. On the plus side, comfy bed and okay morning coffee.
The two bed room we had was on the smaller side but adequate for my dad, brother, and I. The place was clean and had a modern style. Additionally we stayed on the 25th which was highest floor and had great views.
Second, they gave us a room that has a view on construction area which was not nice view .
Third , when we switched on the air condition there was a noisy sound came from it , the maintenance came and check and just changed the filter .. when we back at night and want to sleep , the sound shows again . The second night we called them about the same issue and they changed the room .
Last , the swimming pool was closed due to the construction. We could not swim 8-16-2019
A lot of construction is done in hotel and road which is annoying .
The Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff very friendly, and we were able to check in early. I have stayed at this hotel before and have always enjoyed my stay.
My stay at the Sheraton Brooklyn New York Hotel was exceptional. Both the staff and the facility delivered a five star experience which was greatly appreciated!! The staff is very friendly and accommodating at all hours of the day and night. The rooms are very clean and the beds are exceptionally comfortable and as an add benefit the Starbucks and the onsite restaurants have an excellent menu and enjoyed atmosphere.
I travel to Brooklyn every week for work, along with several other coworkers who are considered the commuters and amongst us, we each have our preference with regard to hotels. I always booked the Sheraton unless it s sold out but that will definitely be ending after they overbooked the hotel and canceled my reservation without notifying me and I could have ended up with no place to stay!
I booked all of my October travel a month out. When I checked in last week, I let them know that I had to cancel my credit card on file and get a replacement so I used a different card at check in with no problem. This week, however, when I arrived to the hotel on Tuesday, October 8th I was told my room had been canceled. They told me that they had overbooked the hotel so they were pre-charging the deposits on all bookings, and that my card in file had been declined (even though I had just told them the week that prior that I had to order a replacement card). I asked why no one had called me about it before canceling my reservation and giving my room to someone else. Their response, we sent you an email at 10am and when you hadn t responded by 4pm we canceled your reservation.
Here I was at 6pm at the end of a long workday with back to back meetings and they are telling me they expected me to respond to an email sent to my personal account in the middle of the workday in order to not lose my room! I was beyond upset at this point. I asked for the manager and she simply said, sorry, we have no more rooms. I asked what was I supposed to do about getting a room and she just shrugged and said sorry. I said, wow even the Hampton takes the effort to call their customers to confirm their room, and her response was that s the Hampton, we re the Sheraton, and we have different hotel policies.
I am so disappointed at the service I received at the Sheraton, after I am always telling the other commuters I am team Bonvoy and am constantly promoting the Sheraton. Well now I will be not only encouraging my other commuters to stay at a different hotel for their weekly travel, I ll be making efforts to remove the Sheraton Brooklyn from our preferred hotels list.
I even called Bonvoy customer service that night once I got settled into the Hampton Inn (who thankfully had one room left and have wonderful service!) and he assured me I would be hearing from the Sheraton management to resolve this. I ve heard from no one...
The two most ironic parts of this story...I was telling my coworkers about it all the next day and one of them asked what the email said that was allegedly sent. There was no email! The last email I had received from the Sheraton was my settled bill from the previous week. I even checked junk mail, nothing. The other ironic part is that as I was going into my Bonvoy app to cancel my upcoming reservations, I noticed that the card on file for my upcoming reservation had been changed to my new card. They changed my card on file for future reservations but the front desk staff last week didn t even bother to take that step!
Clean rooms, quiet, friendly staff, great location in the downtown area of Brooklyn. Discounted parking to help with the expense (35/day). No in and out parking, so make sure to park at the end of your day.
The AC in our room didn't work, and the wifi seemed to often be on the fritz. The location is good for getting around NYC because it's close to many lines. There are no fridges in the rooms.
Let start with the positive: staff is polite. But, who in his right mind design a hotel with a night club right above rooms? Some bass notes where making my bed springs vibrates...not the fun way. I changed room at 1am; it was way quieter but it stank and had a defective shower valve. Rooms are quite small too. Oh, and buffet breakfast is from the 90s.
This Sheraton is nice, close to the Fulton Street Mall, and the R train. It has a little Starbucks in the lobby. Everyone here was extremely nice and helpful. I will definitely stay next time I'm in town for business.
The location is great located close to shopping, trains, buses the was a nice size (king room) they were very accommodating the front desk personal was very well versed in r. Down side elevators are slow, there is no fridge in room if u want one they rent it to you per day, on site restaurant need to change its dated and the food is lack luster, ice machine was broken and had to go off floor for another one, no real lobby store.
Great location for me to get to work, and rooms are a little bigger than other hotels in the area, but this hotel is a bit dated and noisy. The service and support at the desk is great nevertheless.
I had frustrations with the daytime staff & with parking. Listing online claimed on site parking. When I tried to bring my issue up to daytime staff or just interact with them they had unprofessional attitude, offered no solutions to problems, and had very little interest in servicing their guests. The night manager could not have been nicer or more cooperative, however. My room was clean and comfortable.
I had a comfortable stay. Hot tub and heated swimming pool. Loved the gym, not too big but has everything I needed: exercise ball, jump ropes, yoga mats, weights and benches. Plenty of food places close by, a good dumpling place one block away.
Nice looking hotel but the public bathroom at times was a bit dirty and one of the blow dryers didn't work. The conference room downstairs was nice looking but the space inside was very tight with very little to no room when a lot of people are there for an event.
I stayed at the Sheraton hotel July 3 and July 4 the place was nice but they overcharged me my bill was 314 instead they charge me 634.00 when I called they keep telling me I will get the money back it has been 5 days already and I has not get the money back I will never be staying at the Sheraton hotel ever again how can they make a big mistake like this my bill was 314 instead they charge me 320 extra if I never checked my account I would of not known and they would of not call and say a word they very dishonest
The rooms are nicely furnished. Rate was reasonable. The restaurant downstairs, O'Shea Pub, had good appetizers & staff. Drinks were a little overpriced, but it's NY. The breakfast buffet was terrible. No other way to describe. Disgusting. Make plans to have breakfast elsewhere.
The Front Desk staff was nice and the bed was very comfortable. It's also located in such a convenient place with the subway station just in the corner.
If anyone out there is trying to find great deals for hotel rooms check . reserved a hotel room on there and they had the best rates worldwide!
How thankful I am to your staves for accomodating me for 3 nights and 2 days stay! I was feeling delighted with the view because it was so relaxing and peaceful. I didn't regret my decision to have my stay at your hotel. You deserve to be known by many! You are strongly recommended to all of my family and friends! Cheers!
Currently writing this 3am because I can t sleep well for the 2nd night
Unfortunately so much came with poor quality, where to start.... ROOM 1002 1st room was impossible to relax in after all the noise unfortunately dirty and poor room temperature(not the best ac/heater system) .
2nd #2301room switch - none of the outlets where the tv is located weren t working at all, until I moved the tv stand closer to a different wall outlet and had to plug in a lamp that had an outlet so I can plug the tv to simply watch an NBA & MLB. I genuinely would ve have even written this review but after 14months of not traveling as I m fully vaccinated I was truly hoping to get few nights of peaceful good nights rest at the SHERATON
Generally excellent option in downtown Brooklyn. Proximity to the city can't be beat for vacationers, though the block itself is obnoxious and loaded with constant construction. That said, I've stayed here roughly a dozen times and have never had a problem. Helpful, friendly staff. Rates are affordable during the week compared to other SPG options just over the bridge. Right near the Hoyt Street station. Starbucks attached to the lobby (not complimentary).
I am still here enjoying this hotel,my stay here is six days. i feel safe, the staff is lovely. It's close to shopping centers, subways are close by. They have a hot breakfast/dinner, swimming pool, and gym. I'm from California and I recommend this hotel :).
Worst experience ever with a hotel. We have booked a suite for our family, which was a confirmed non-refundable booking. However, when we arrived from the airport (with 3 small children under age of 5, who were exhausted after the long flight), they told us that our reservation has been cancelled a couple of hours before (while we were on the flight)! Luckily we could find another hotel nearby, and I will never choose any of Sheraton hotels in the future for sure.
Horrible customer service. I booked through third party and when I called the hotel to confirm my reservation to also let them know I was running late, the person had said that my reservation was canceled and my room was no longer available. Person also said that there were no more rooms available and there was nothing he could do. Person said that they contacted third party to let them know of the issue but come to find out third party was not contacted and the hotel is who canceled my reservation. No one bothered to contact me and let me know of the issue. Poor communication from the hotel to myself and to the third party.
This was not a bad experience but wow, ZERO parking. The Italian restaurant in the hotel list pizza on the menu, but "due to covid" they do not have it any more (13 months and have not updated the menu) then when you pay the bill, "due to covid" you can not charge to your room. Ridiculous. As a Titanium member I was charged for wifi. Probably covid again. construction outside to make the experience more enjoyable.
Great downtown location. The rooms are a good size. The beds are divinely comfortable. Great shopping in the area and there's a few subway options within very short walking distance.
Good location in Downtown Brooklyn. Rooms are decent sized, and the hotel is in good condition. Pretty value for the money. Parking is expensive, and it can take the valet up to an hour to bring it back.
My visit was to the rooftop lounge, not the actual hotel. The lounge was great. The atmosphere was nice, music was on point and the crowd was all there to have a good night out. Only downside was the limited amount of restrooms which called for long lines. Overall, I had a great night out.
Inept customer service. Long wait. To check in. Shabby lobby decor. No warm greetings... Will never stay here ever again and would never recommend this sight
I think this hotel is really a three star hotel. Rooms are small. The hotel didn t offer a refrigerator. The same breakfast was served two days in a row. The bagels were hard. I did like the pool and jacuzzi. I like the shower. The stores are within walking distance. Old navy is next door. Macy s is at the end of the block. Plenty of good food within walking distance. One particular soul food carribean restaurant I loved was called The soul spot. Staff was very friendly.
Great location, nice rooms. I like this hotel a lot. Pet friendly, terrific beds. One drawback is the breakfast. Basic, cold eggs and potatoes, dirty dining room on the second floor. The windows haven't been cleaned or dusted in years. Small thing for an otherwise great place.
Nice Brooklyn hotel surrounded by fun places to eat and drink. We walked to a number of fun restaurants and bars. No Uber required! Room was clean and thoughtfully laid out and 4 elevators meant that we didn t have to wait even during busy periods. Would happily recommend to friends.
Standard NY hotel. The room was very small but had everything you need. This hotel is pet friendly and doesn't charge extra pet fees. However they will not clean the room during the duration of your stay if you have a pet such as a cat which stays in the room.
Clean, nice room, and totally uncaring about customer service. In fact I now take the view that they are being deliberately awkward.
It is impossible to get the lobby staff to do something extremely simple. Namely, either give me some English breakfast tea, milk and sugar, or send some up to my room.
I've had fruit teas sent to my room. I've had Earl Grey. I've had the correct tea, but no milk and sugar. I've been told they don't provide this type of tea to the room (the day after they did!). I was told they only supply Earl Grey and Orange Fruit tea. Why not? Is there a war on? Is there a national shortage of Liptons?
Just now a guy brought just tea (again), after I asked the lobby to provide all three, no milk or sugar again. I told him I also need milk and sugar and he has gone to inform the lobby staff (he said). He won't be seen again today. Why inform the lobby staff? Why not just get some milk and sugar? This is absurd and embarrassing and they must be doing it deliberately. This has happened every day, all week. It's like being in an episode of Fawlty Towers.
An hour later, no sign of milk and sugar.
So I am off to the lobby again. There is no point calling. I'll either get milk and no sugar, or sugar and no milk, or some orange flavoured fruit tea. Down nearly a dozen floors and back..... This time they will put them in my hand....
They did put them in my hand. Two sugar sachets and four cream sachets. Same again in the morning then.....
Update, a big bag of English breakfast tea, loads if milk and sugar left in my room. Hurrah!
Amended rating to suit. This place does have its good points. It is minutes from Fulton Mall, there are loads of Subway stations within a few minutes walk, and there is a Starbucks right next door. The beds are comfy, rooms clean. And they managed to get what I was wanting... eventually.
Excellent location with one block the nearest subway station, church and mall, very kind people specialty Williams, Juan, and Jose the Bellboys, many stores and restaurants around, you get Brooklyn Bridge only at 15 minutes walkway with beautiful views. I love this hotel!
Attended an event at the Barclay. This hotel is a nice walking distance from the arena. It is a functional hotel. Clean and neat. Rooms are decent. Parking is a chore. They have an agreement with a garage located one block over but it is not self park, so take everything with you. Leave the car and get a metro pass. You can get anywhere in the city using pub trans
We stayed here last year and the experience was AMAZING. This time not so much. Hotel staff is very nice and friendly but the housekeeping is not. During a 5 day stay we had to call twice to request a room clean. Not something you would expect when paying over $1K. When the room was cleaned, it was barely done and the sheets were not even changed. Every morning housekeeping can be heard yelling and being loud in the hallway, waking you up. Also the hotel lacked a fridge and microwave. Most hotels at least offer one or the other. Room service is pricer than normal. A single bowl of strawberries was $16 when the service and delivery fee were included. However the hotel is in a great location and the staff is nice and friendly. There is also a Starbucks in the lobby which is a huge plus.
Update: Spoke to a manager that was nice and apologetic for the inconvenience. She made the situation better by giving us SPG points and be allowing a later checkout on the final day.
The service at the hotel was really good. They let me check in about 2 hours early, which helped since my flight was an early flight in. The gym is a really great hotel gym. They said no free WiFi, but I ended up getting it. The location was close to a lot of things in Brooklyn. The only thing I didn't like, the room had a small water leak, but they fixed that. Great experience!
Perfect hotel for shopping. It is near to Brookling Bridge and pier. You will enjoy the pier buying an ice cream, a hot dog and a beer with a beautiful view of Manhattan.
Beautiful king size room, comfortable bed, okay view, good room service, lovely pool and jacuzzi on the 2nd floor with very nice lifeguard staff. Clean facilities all around. Room lacked a mini fridge (explicitly stated in the room description), but totally okay with that. Very much would stay here again.
The Hotel it self was ok, but the staff made our stay great! From the day we arrived we were well taken care of by William, sorting out our luggage and any transport we needed, recommending places near by to eat and topped it off by sending a birthday surprise for my daughter to our room on her 9th birthday. For this alone we'd defo return.
Would give lower stars if I could, my floor smelled of pot, food was bad, and they won't give you tap water with ice if you don't buy anything from room service.
Most of my experiences from Sheraton's we're positive, it was at this particular one which was bad.
The balcony is the only reason for the two stars. Booked a king bed suite got a full which took up all of room 404. Hotel refused to adjust the cost of stay.
Great staff, very comfortable beds. Subway station just over the road (about 15 mins to Manhattan) or a 10 minute walk to borough hall. No complaints from me!
Wasn t impressed at all. Tried booking through the hotel itself but when you push button for reservations you go to 800 number. The operator assured me there was parking and all the amenities were operational despite the covid, and I implored I need a tub/shower combo, she assured me all king rooms had that. I show up, there is no parking available due to Covid, which is a major issue in NYC, I park blocks from the hotel and we lug our stuff to the hotel. We get into the room, which was small not how the picture displayed, no tub/shower, tried switching rooms no luck had to wait till the following day to switch rooms. New room the showtime didn t work and the tv had different channels, but the room was slightly bigger. The pillows were horrible, shockingly there is no fridge or microwave in the room, motel 6 even offers that. No room service due to Covid, no breakfast, pool, fitness, roof access nothing, of course the price for these features is not removed from the bill. There is stench of marijuana all over the hotel despite the no smoking policy. I had to get new towels and supplies daily. Maybe for a night this would work, but we stayed 4 nights and this was a trial run as next month I need to stay 28 nights, but not here, going to Fairfield a few blocks away as they have fridge and microwave, I didn t even realize places didn t have that anymore. Very disappointed for a Sheraton, this is the worst one I ve been to and Covid is no excuse to not have room service, sit on the rooftop and parking. I can understand not having breakfast, pool and fitness due to the city not having that available.
Nicely appointed rooms with a friendly and cheerful staff. The breakfast which is on the 2nd floor was surprisingly delicious. I particularly enjoyed the hot.chocolate!
Nice hotel but don't get a breakfast there, the staff doesn't even give the breakfast token automatically ; I had to ask for it even though it was included in my room.
I haven't stayed there yet but my favorite basketball team are the Brooklyn Nets!! I am looking forward to staying!! Me and my family excited!! We will see you soon!! I don't know the exact date yet ut we are super excited!! And will see this nice, fancy, and amazing hotel soon!!
