6 months ago almost all calls from my daughter in Florida Gadsden Prison were going through. Now that only 1 in 10 goes through and the recording on both ends states: "the caller has hung up". None of the options from any resource when called give you a live person. Graft and corruption prevail at Florida Prisons. Just how much kick back does Securis get? and how bad does it get before the Florida States Attorney will do something about this rip off?

They keep telling me everything is working and then its really not and make me wait for days just to keep telling me they got to wait for the supervisor . They sent out like 3 tickets and i still havent got no feedback on them . Fix this issue

You guys are CROOKS!!!! Paid for a video visit that didn't work and then you can't refund or credit me!?! Its already bad enough that its a 3$ service charge every time you load the phone. You are a corrupt company working within a corrupt industry. getting rich off of people going through struggles and your customer service team does not care!!! The fact that many people have no choice BUT to use your services is the only way your keeping your company going because you clearly DO NOT care about your customers or their incarcerated loved ones.

This is definitely one of the best investigative company i have ever worked with. I had them look into my fiance for something i was not sure about and they assured me they can do the work for me. I was surprised to hear from them within a few days and they had everything. Am glad they came through because they cleared my doubts. Thank you so much

Terrible customer service terrible payment system....

Terrible customer service terrible payment system. The website and the app will not accept my payment. Payments have been cancelled by the merchant repeatedly. The only way to receive calls is to pay per call which costs $3 per call plus $2.36 for the first minute and 40 cents per minute thereafter. If I choose to have a live representative fund my account it costs $5 plus the $3 processing fee. What a scam. I have reported to the Department of Consumer Services. This is ridiculous.

What a garbage excuse for a company, heck, for HUMAN BEINGS. These people prey on the poor and charge EXORBITANT fees for the "privilege" of speaking to our incarcerated brother.

If you saw a bill from this company, they're itemizing whole lists of absolutely made up costs such as a "$2 Paper Handling Fee".... FOR A PHONE CALL IN WHICH NO EMPLOYEE OF THEIRS EVER TOUCHES A PIECE OF PAPER!

People who work here shouldn't be allowed to make eye contact with REAL Americans who treat their fellow man with compassion and respect.

This is a company that sees its customers as prey, not as people.

your service is horrible. You have no way to verify anything with your system. I provided money which has been used for phone calls I have not received and you can't verify that. I provided pictures of 5 attempted phone calls from a facility you service and I cannot accept the calls because your system tells me I need to money on my account but the system then verifies that I have money on my account. Your company is worthless.

They allowed someone to open a fraudulent account in my name, then when whoever it was did not pay, sent it to collections who tracked me down and sent me a letter. First Securus told us to fill out a fraudulent form and fax it to them, which we did. My husband was trying to deal with it for me since I had just found out I had cancer again. Today after having a procedure to place in a port for me to start chemotherapy in 2 days, he called to followup with them and they told him I personally have to go down to the police department and file a report. I called them and told them this is ridiculous and said they might want to note it will be months before they get it because I am not going down to the police station while I am fighting cancer. She said she was so sorry, etc., then when she THOUGHT she had hung up, she said to someone else, "Whew, she gave me a headache." Seriously? I am dealing with cancer and you got a headache because I am upset that you will not deal with this - YOUR mistake???? I have never even heard of this company before all of this, but I certainly would not use them, even if I needed to!

Really awful. I'm apparently forced to use this company to speak with my friend in jail I have no recourse to a cheaper company. Costs about $1 a minute plus a $4 penalty on EVERY call because I have the audacity to use a cell phone instead of a land line.

It gets better. Every time I want to put money in my account, I am charged an $8 service fee, no matter how much I put in. No competition as far as I can tell, so they basically do whatever they want. I can only imagine how much money they take from families who want to talk to their family members in jail on a regular basis.

Horrible system. When I received calls initially I went through a 20+ minutes process of setting up an account to speak longer. I had no options to set reconnect and the rates are outrageous. Then the next day when receiving a call there was no option to accept the call, even though I still had money in the account. This happened twice in a row!!!!!! Had to listen to so many automated prompts and it was just bulky and difficult to get connect with the person I needed to. Horrible. Get rid of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The inmate was released And I called them to let Secured know that inmate was released And never the service to refund my amount ,they told me that the refund don't alone to me, regardless if I use my credit card,inmate has to go to Western Union to fill out a form to get the refund. What a scam of a company; charging customers $6+ for ANSWERING a phone call then $.50+ a minute, while almost all other companies charge $.21 a minute and no answering fee... You can never get a hold of anyone for customer service, and when you do get a hold of someone; good luck.

Try to get a refund for services charged but not rendered. Good luck. I gave up. I have to use their poor service because it is basically a monopoly. Half the time it does not work and 100% of those times there will be no refund. They send you to a page of choices about why you need a refund but the reason is never listed. Good job Securus.

Once again, I tried to get Securus to refund money that they owe for due to errors in THEIR equipment. No such refund will be given. FRAUD. DISGUSTING. They are so sickly sweet on the phone as they talk in circles avoiding the real issue. Just poor business practices. They remain unchecked and they know this. It appears that they will continue to scam the public out of their money as long as they are allowed to do so.

This company has no trained customer service representatives. My experience was awful contacting their rep for the first time. The rep named "Adel" made it clear from her attitude that my questions bothered her by her unprofessional and unsolicited snide and rude responses, and I quote:

"It says $.21 a minute, you do the math"

"I don't memorize all the facilities"

"I've answered all your questions as I see fit"

I am a 100% disabled veteran and before I became disabled was a 2nd tier Customer Service Representative. Point blank I would have been fired for any one of those statements.

It's obvious that the leadership of CEO Richard A. (Rick) Smith since 2008 has been concerned with profit by monopoly, not customer service, support or care.

Another class action suit should be started in reference to false advertisement of the aforementioned

It's day 3 and I called and they are now saying it can take up to 2 weeks. I got lied to and I can't even talk to my loved one... Wow!

DO NOT USE!! This company is horrible! You only recieve credits if your loved one misses the remote video call. I missed a video call because of an error on the Securus app and was told no credit could be given to me. I have been having issues connecting on the remote video visits to see my loved one and no connection to join the calls. I reported the issue to Securus and was told it was the jail facility, when I tell the Jail I was told they have no control of the connections at the terminals, are only able to monitor the calls and point the finger back at Securus. Securus then tells me it's the jail having the issues and can't do anything until the jail reports it. This company is a joke and obviously need training because their customer services representatives suck and the company hold no accountability for anything.

In my opinion this is one of the biggest scams to exist. They ripped off 45 dollars from my debit card and I can't get anyone to return my calls or answer emails. And then this morning someone took it upon themselves to take money out of my sons account in seven different transactions all before he got his tablet handed to him. The list goes on and on and on..... Anyone starts a class action lawsuit, count me in!!!!!

There are supposed to be options for the public to choose from to make informed decisions based on what they want who they want and what they can affird. We are given none of these. So securus just charges what they want when they want and it's not the same for everybody. This is an injustice to those who care about their loved ones that are locked up. we need to petition our representatives to get more choices of service providers in our judicial system.

First they double charged my account and when I contacted customer service they were insulting, threatening in that they would freeze all my accounts if I disputed anything, even though i authorized the initial charge. I just wanted the duplicate credited. Nasty. There should be other options, this is a Monopoly and it is illegal.

Absolute WORST customer service. Put on hold 4 times, each time it directed me back to their automated hell. Finally got an argent that did not put me on hold and was able to get my issue resolved in under a minute. Spent 45 minutes trying to get to agents and 1 out of the 5 could fix it without sending me back through a computer system where it states they pride themselves on customer care. Hogwash. As there is NO option within their automation that states ANYTHING about speaking with someone.

Securus Technologies is the very definition of "Ab...

Securus Technologies is the very definition of "Abuser" according to the FCC.

The FCC came up with rules to put a cap on the maximum rates that could be charged for inmate phone systems. These phone services are paid by the families and loved ones of those currently incarcerated. Securus was charging so much, that the FCC had to come up with the special rules specifically to stop the abuse of "society's most vulnerable people, the families and loved ones of those currently incarcerated."

The FCC came up with a new set of rules that would further reduce the maximum rates that could be charged by companies like Securus, these new rules were set to go into effect in March 2017, but due to the corruption and unethical practices of the FCC chairman Ajit Pai, those rules are currently pending judicial review and have not gone into effect as of yet.

Securus Technologies is so greedy, that they don't even know how to conduct business ethically. Had they fair rates, they would be making much more money, but because they charge astronomically high rates, abusing the people of this country, their revenue is much lower than what it could be, they are stupidly greedy.

Securus Technologies also violates several privacy laws. Particularly, they run trace programs, there by spamming their users by making automated calls to them that hang up on the user when answered, the purpose being to attempt to trace the call and determine the user's location, and calling system. Unfortunately for everyone, their system is extremely flawed, vulnerable, and error prone. Usually this results in them taking it upon themselves to block numbers that have already been approved by the local government, and by the correctional facilities/systems that they service. This methodology, often referred to as, vigilante, is illegal in this great country. It is clear that Securus Technologies believes themselves to exist above the law, and because of that inflated ego, believe that they can use their position to extort, abuse, and try to destroy relationships, hurt people, by interfering where they do not belong, blocking numbers, charging people extremely high rates until they are bankrupt, all the while not hesitating to charge for the time that they insert their announcements into the phone system to remind you and your loved ones incarcerated, exactly who it is that is abusing you and your wallets, and that there is nothing you can do about it because they have the only contact to service whatever facility you are trying to receive calls from, and are so very apparently bribing politicians and local government in order to be awarded these contracts. No self respecting politician would ever award a contract that would knowingly abuse their constituents.

Securus Technologies, I would suggest you change your ways, before you are met with legal repercussions, public protests, or worse.
