Update: After posting this review, I received a call from Arland Ross - VP of Operations. He apologized for the issue. and offered to eat the return shipping and restocking fee. Additionally, he offered to sell the correct item at cost.

As a result of this interaction, I am raising the star rating to 3. After the transactions (return and new item received) are complete, I will update this review again.

Initial Review: PC Nation's customer service is abysmal. New customer here and they treated my company like they didn't want new business. Well, they succeeded. No new business.

Addendum: (clarification posted after initial review) I mistakenly ordered the wrong item after being directed to the site from a Google search in which PCNation had an advertisement in the search results. Upon receiving the wrong item, I called customer service to return the item. It is here that the issues began and caused my review.

Thank you to PC Nation for probably the BEST customer service I have ever received. They spent time helping me research the best product for my business and then when I received poor customer service from that product company, they stepped in and went above and beyond to help me resolve it. I will 100% order from PC Nation again.

Purchased a HP Laptop from PC Nation. Price & features acceptable. Shipped via FedEx Ground. The shipping instructions: signature required. This information was ommited and the FedEx Driver dropped the package in 20 degree weather... and it was delivered to an incorrect address. To date, I have not seen or received the unit. PC Nation does not communicate any solution, unless the Client pushes for a solution and all the client receives is double-talk. Will not use their service again. PC Nation made mistakes and was unwilling to communicate or solve this transaction. Expect Full Refund. That has not occurred as well.

If you do, you may end up having to go through the below noted.

Purchased GPS unit, and would be the last purchase of any kind from PCNation.

Amazon or Ebay all the way, NEVER FROM INDEPENDENT RETAILERS!

1. The first GPS unit sent didn't work out of box. Spent two days attempting to remedy the situation with no success.

2. Called PC Nation, and customer service representative placed a call to Garmin technical support. Technical Support representative from Garmin diagnosed the unit defective.

3. PCNation advised to ship the unit back to them at my cost even though it never worked out of box. After a 10 minutes making the case, the representative, advised they will provide a credit for shipping costs for any future orders with PCNation.

4. Ordered another GPS unit of same model from PC Nation. Unit arrived with incorrect power cord!

5. Contacted PCNation, and was shipped the correct power cord in two days. THEN....it got interesting.....

Arland Ross, who claims to be the manager or Supervisor wants to have a discussion. He advised the unit that was originally returned was tested by them and it works fine. What a miracle! I tried for two days, left it plugged into the computer for two days to charge the battery and it constantly went through an endless reboot cycle!

His words were as follows:

"Anyways, I spoke to a Garmin Support Rep. I asked her to locate the information from the prior call from earlier in the week and she unfortunately was unable to locate anything. I explained the circumstance whereas the unit would not work while in your possession and that after charging it when we received it, it worked fine. Her feedback was that she was unsure why this would be the case. I did ask about the issue related to charging the unit. She said that she personally does suggest charging the units for a minimum of 8 hours. As you took the time to conference with Garmin Support and the rep on that call apparently did not suggest anything related to trying to leave the item charging, we have issued a full refund for the original order."

QUESTION for ARLAND Ross: Where in the Garmin manual that's provided with the unit does it advise to charge the unit for 8 hours????????

PCNation needs a lesson is Customer service. If you're going to treat customers like criminals and your sole purpose is to prove the customer wrong, then you're not lose more customers than you're going to gain.

This entire episode with PCNation took five days. Was it worth it? NO. This was my 10th GPS unit, and the last purchase ever from PCNation!

Today is 9/28/2020. Shortly after placing this review, I received a phone call from the vice president of sales, and he took responsibility for trying to get everything resolved. He sent another headset out to me, and unfortunately it was the USB-C version, as opposed to the USB-A version that I was needing. Unfortunately, their website does not show any distinctions in the versions of USB-A vs. USB-C. He also offered me a credit. While ultimately, I never received what I needed, I do feel better about their effort to try to get the situation resolved. So I have changed my rating to 3 Stars.

Today is 9/8/2020. I placed an order on 8/27/2020 (an Jabra wireless headset). I received an email with the FedEx tracking number on 8/29/2020. I inquired twice to the client care email box, with no response. I have called multiple times in have spoken with Jim, George, and James, with no solution of getting the product out to me. I have only been told that the order is still sitting in the warehouse in Tennessee, and that they are short staffed because of the Covid-19 situation. Each time I was told that they were looking into it and would get back to me. The 3rd time that I was told that someone would be calling me back, I received email correspondence telling me what I had already been told. I asked if there was an accommodation that can be made for upgrading the shipping to next day air, but never received a response to that inquiry, which I made twice.

At this point, with this experience, I would never order from PCNation.com again. It would've been nice to have received some form of acknowledgment and someone taking ownership for getting this order out, but no one did. I've lost a fair amount of time and dealt with a lot of frustration with what should ve been a simple transaction.

For a $200 + purchase, I expected the free shipping to not be the slowest, during the 6 days I waited(Yes, could have upgraded to 2 Business day for $22, but had no option for Upgrade to USPS Priority, (with a $5 or so fee) which could have been delivered in 3 days), kicked myself for not using Amazon Prime!

Do not buy expensive products from Pcnation online...

Do not buy expensive products from Pcnation online if you live in a high rise without front desk. PCnation refuses to remove the direct signature request and Fedex never calls me to sign and pick up the packages.

The service of this place is horrible. A customer service person randomly started arguing with me after I stated the problem with delivery. He said you are lucky that we are still working and fedex will try delivering again or sure if you are willing to sign a waiver to assume all responsibilities of package damage and 100 other things. That person on phone was unbelievably self-centered and arrogant. I don t know how he passes the criterion to work on sales or customer service.

Also note that returns are NOT free. I will try to get a full refund since I ve never even seen the products I ordered. However, if I directly process the return online, there is this tiny font line, saying that you are willing to pay $15 or 15% returning fee , whichever is greater. Whoa. This website is probably a scam.

So I ordered the Zotac Geforce RTX3080 Trinity 10gb on 10/01/2020 through them with the understanding from the website it would take 2 weeks or close to that to get it. I was totally fine with that considering how hard they have been to get. Soon after I reached out to them to check on the status of the order and make sure everything was good. As per the phone call i was informed that they did not have any in stock and only had 4 to sell when they were available on the 17th of September (launch day). They also informed me that some were on order but there was absolutely no estimated time on when or if they would get anymore. Normally I would not post anything on the mater considering I do know how hard the 3080 is to get right now. The problem I have is when I placed the order it was not mentioned as a preorder and gave an estimated availability of 2 weeks. Now it has been almost 2 weeks and they still do not know if they will even get any. To say the least it has been frustrating. Anyways I would not order from them unless I absolutely knew the item I wanted was in stock and even then its a maybe.

It's been a week since I ordered a laptop and they're just now telling me I can't receive the product because they only send to schools. Why did this take a week to figure out? Why did they tell me it was shipped? Why did they even allow the order to go through I'm the first place? Why is there no mention of this policy when I purchased the product?

While we had problems with delivery not to the fault of PCNation. PCNation stayed in touch through the whole process until my product arrived. I am very pleased with my Plantronics Voyager 6200 UC. The pricing was very competitive and the product is top notch in quality. I would buy from PCNation again

I placed an order for a Cisco Firepower 1120 from this business. Within 24 hours I was contacted by my assigned account representative to indicate there was a problem with my credit card. I contacted my bank, and they indicated they had not received an authorization request. I contacted my account rep and he told me my order had been cancelled and that I would need to place another order online. I should have taken this as my first indicator to go with another company, but instead I asked him to place my order again while I was on the phone, which he reluctantly did. The item was ordered with a different bank account, approved, and placed. The item took 8 days to arrive, after the account rep had indicated it would be shipped express from Chicago to Minneapolis. Once the item did arrive, late, we attempted to install it. The device powered up, but did not respond and did not appear to have any operating system installed on it. I worked with Cisco support, who indicated I should RMA it. I called my account representative, who told me he would request a return and ship another device, but would need to charge for another device and would issue a refund for the 1st once it was returned. I should have taken this as my 2nd indicator to go with someone else, but instead agreed. 48 hours later my account representative contacted me to tell me he would not ship another device without an additional $1700 license, as his Cisco account representative indicated the device would not work without the additional license. This was never discussed before. At this point I requested a refund, which my account rep agreed to. It took another 24 hours and two more emails to get the shipping label to return the item, and was shipped 24 hours later and signed for 48 hours after that. Two full weeks after being returned I have not received a refund, an apology, and have had to contact the company representative 4 times asking about the status of my refund, which I have been assured will come any day now. While my account representative has been friendly, his communication has been terrible, the bait and switch sales tactic was inappropriate, and I have yet to receive a refund for a device that was shipped DOA over a month ago. The original order was placed Jan 2nd, it is currently Feb 6th. I'm sure that PCNation's profit on this order was relatively small, but it doesn't seem like much to ask for communication and updates regarding my order. I would highly recommend staying away from a company that has so little care for customers.

I ordered a Zebra ZD420 printer in hopes of being able to print from an iPad via bluetooth. The ad on the website said it was bluetooth enabled, but after weeks of troubleshooting discovered it was not able to connect by bluetooth. I contacted PCNation and asked about returning it since it was still brand new and unused and not what I thought I was getting. They informed me that their policy states they can't accept returns on Zebra products and they would have to contact the manufacturer to request an return exception. Ok... made no sense but I played along. The woman told me it would take "a few days" to hear back. After not hearing anything for a couple of weeks, I emailed the same woman who never responded to me. Another week went by and I ended up chatting with a customer service person through the website and they said there was no update but that they would follow up with the returns department and have them contact me. The next day I did get a call, but it was from a very confused tech support guy who said he was instructed to call me and help. Again, no help at all. Another week or so went by and no word back. It truly felt like they just hoped I would forget about it and they never actually filed a request with the manufacturer, and that's just something they tell customers. After a couple weeks I emailed the original woman again to hopefully get some kind of response. The next day I received an email back telling me the request was denied. Now I'm stuck with a $400 printer that is of no use to me. I went back and looked there was nothing during the ordering process that clearly stated that if I ordered that Zebra product, I would never be able to return it.

So, between a poorly communicated no-return policy and very poor customer service, I'll never use PCNation again.

The point is, this was a huge disappointment and a big waste of time and money for me, so I'm hoping to help someone else avoid this trap. I would not recommend this company to anyone for anything, but especially if you are trying to purchase Zebra products, PCNation is NOT a good choice.

Placed order on website. They offered free 3 day shipping and ship same day. A week later my order still had not shipped and entire week the website listed item as in-stock. Speaking with on-line chat customer support, they ensured my order would go out that day.

Following day, order still had not shipped. Called the 1-800 number and spoke to sales rep to cancel order who stated he would cancel it and ended call. A few hours later, order had not been cancelled.

Emailed customer service and asked to cancel order. Instead of cancelling, they ensured me it would ship that day because they just got the item in stock. So either they don't update stock on their website, or were finding an excuse. This statement came in an hour before their shipping cut-off according to their website. When their shipping cutoff came and went, the order was still listed as "processing" I asked to cancel the order again through email. It was finally cancelled after 3 requests to cancel.

I bought a $478 Acer Aspire laptop from PCnation through Amazon. Two weeks later, Amazon canceled the order because PCnation failed to confirm the shipment details with Amazon. I contacted PCnation for a resolution. They responded by saying the item was not in stock, and they tried to sell me a more expensive computer. It seems like a classic "bait and switch" scheme to me.
BEWARE - 18 out of 115 reviews on Google - that's 15% - give this company a 1-star rating. Understandable.

I cannot recommend PCNation. I ordered my motherboard on December 2nd. December 3rd I received confirmation of shipment along with my tracking link. A week later I check its progress and it says that there is no tracking information. I called pcnation to figure out why I can't track my package and the customer service rep says he will look into it and email me within half an hour. Two hours later I still had not received the email. I called again and the 2nd rep said he would contact the distributor and get back to me. Again, two hours go by without any word. I call a 3rd time and the 3rd rep, bless his soul promised to keep me on the line until he had my answer. Turns out my package had not yet shipped regardless of being told it had shipped a week prior.
Now that my package has actually shipped it has been stuck for days in the same town hundreds of miles away because that fedex hub is a week behind schedule. Now I cannot complete my build and verify that all my components function properly in time to return them if they are faulty.
Shop at newegg or Amazon, avoid Pcnation.

Absolutely horrified with the experience.
Bought a $552 CPU. They said it was brand new.
Came very well packaged however it was NOT shipped in the manufacturer package. They had taken it out, and placed it in a different package to ship it to us.
Then the CPU did something to the gaming computer and caused issues.
Have tried contacting PC Nation regarding this. They re throwing us through every single hoop you can imagine. First said to contact manufacturer... even though we can t... we don t have the box and therefore we don t have the manufacturer warranty (probably why they remove it) then they re trying to tell us to fill out a form with them, even though the CPU doesn t qualify for the form, and continue to jump us through hoops. Absolutely horrified by this experience. Their horrible lack of customer service. They re bad judgment with removing the new part from its original packaging and placing it in something else to be mailed and I highly dont recommend them. Sure they have some good reviews. Those are what fooled us too. But don t waste your time or your money on this place. Thanks for stealing our money and having faulty products PC Nation.

This company gives your order information to third party companies and they should be avoided if at all possible. I spoke to them about this and they said there is no way to avoid it. For a company that sells security products (e.g. unifi security gateway) this doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I was unexpectedly working from home and found the laptop screen my job issued me to be too small. I wanted a monitor so I searched online. I found this website with a good price and the brand I wanted. They had free expedited ground shipping and also had the adaptor I needed to connect the monitor to my docking station. They promptly sent a tracking number for my order and sure enough it arrived right on time from FEDEX ground. The monitor is large and has a great picture. Thank you PCNATION for a great experience and what I thought was a fair price. Will definitely use again.

IT WAS OVER A MONTH BEFORE I NEEDED TO USE IT. I SET IT UP AND IT WAS DEFECTIVE. IT DID NOT PRINT WELL AND WOULD GRAB MULTIPLE SHEETS OF PAPER AND THE INK CARTRIDGE WOULD SAY I WAS OUT OF COLOR EVEN THOUGH I ONLY USED BLACK. KEPT FILLING FOR A RETURN FOR OVER A MONTH WITH AMAZON. THEN I CALLED PCNATION. THEY DID NOT CARE TO HELP ME IN ANY WAY. SAID 30 DAYS ARE UP, WE ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING.
ON A SCALE OF 1-10 THESE GUYS GET A 1.
BUY LOCAL, I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS AGAIN.

Bought a monitor through Amazon. PCNation was the seller. They shipped the very next day, which ended up being a nightmare. I wouldn t be available to sign for my package due to the holidays. PCNations customer support was very helpful and was able to ship my package back to me. Thanks, Rick!

Returning an item is very expensive!
Telephone customer service is non-existing even though the # is listed on their website, all communication is a slow reply only by e-mail or chat.

PCNation strick Return Instruction are:
1)You pay all the returning fees delivery, you pay15% from purchase item price.
2)Ship the item back with UPS or FEDEX only, it does not allow post office service.
3)You must meet the DUE DATE return or else it will expire.

PCNation delivery service is NOT FAIR to their clients.
Their packages deliveries are sent from original manufactory box BUT when you return the item to PCNation, they demand HIGH-QUALITY DOUBLE package $$, bubble wrap $$ standards.

I e-mailed, Would you PLEASE allow me to return the Printer myself to your company because the box is very expensive to ship by UPS.
REPLY: Please do not take the package, we do not accept drop-offs of returns. If you drop off the package, instead of shipping it back, there is a good chance you will not receive a credit, as there will be no official record of it being returned.
We suggest that you ship the product back, as you were instructed below, as that is the only way we can guarantee a refund will be issued.

They called Fedex and had it returned back to them while it was in route to my place(according to Fedex). PCNation wouldn't send it back. Nor would they explain why this was done. They emailed me to tell me I had to reorder it. So I went to do this and the price went up almost $50 since I placed, and paid for, my order. That's no way to run a business, IMO.

I got and email my router was shipping and would arrive 3 days later. Router did not arrive as indicated. After checking with FedEx we found out the scan was the label creation. I notified PCN on day 3 and told they would get back with me within the hour no one called. Day 5 tried to chat with rep it showed they had read my message but did not respond. 4 calls later I was told they understood the issue and would get back with me once they found out the issue. Day 6 no call no response to my emails. Called again took 3 calls to get an answer then told they would get with FedEx that they could not cancel or ship replacement until they talked with FedEx. So tomorrow on day 7 they say they will call me by noon to see if I have to buy a replacement and they will file a dispute with FedEx... If its not enroute tomorrow I will be calling Amex. I encourage caution before buying from them.

Worked with Joseph Salva on my order, BEST REP IN THE COMPANY!

At first my card failed authentication but the bank put a hold on the funds, however, it took 2 days for the hold to be taken off and money returned to my account. Joseph did everything to hold my order, as inventory for the item I wanted was low.

He reached out everyday to check on the order and make sure the closest warehouse to me kept the item reserved for me. He also followed up with me multiple times to ensure order would get through.

This man needs his work recognized! No other sales rep in all the vendors I work with go to this extent to ensure a customer is happy and order fulfilled. If I could give 6 stars I would. I would also hire Joseph myself if he lived in Soflo.

Poor product labeling on the website led to me ordering a peripheral that was not compatible with my PC. After contacting customer service, they claimed the website was fine, the mistake was my fault for not understanding what I was buying, and that I should just "go to Amazon" and buy an adapter to make the peripheral work.

I've ordered electronics from a range of different places including Newegg, CableLeader, Staples, OfficeDepot, Best Buy, PCCables.com, eBay, etc. and I've never dealt with customer service this poor. After an hour and a half on the online chat with them, they refused to offer a refund for the rush delivery I paid for, and said they would only accept a return if I paid a $15 restocking fee plus return shipping (on a $20 item).

A few hours later I received an email stating that my order was shipped and that it would take up to 24 hours for a tracking number to be posted. 24 hours later and no tracking number. I called their support line and they said that it was a direct ship from the manufacturer and that sometimes the company doesn't post tracking numbers right away.

I waited another day still no tracking. I called their support again asking for my tracking number. The person I spoke to this time said that they didn't have any more information then what I was given the first time and that they would reach out to the company to try and get a tracking number. Never heard back from the second person I talked to. This was on a Friday so I waited the weekend and the Monday figuring they might have had it off for Easter.

Tuesday comes and still no sign that it has shipped at all. Once again I called their support line and spoke to a 3rd person who said that she would contact the company and call me back. That call never came. 3hrs later I called back to their support line and spoke to a 4th person who said he had a direct line to somebody at the company. It took this last person about a couple of hours to finally get the company to issue a tracking number almost a week after I received the email that the item had shipped.

This company needs to refine how it communicates with its customers. All of this could have been avoided if they didn't send out automated emails stating that items have been shipped, when in reality they haven't. My suggestion would be is that if your company is going to have the manufacturer ship it out instead, indicate that in the shipping email that way there's no confusion.

I gave PC Nation 4 stars- the shipping was fast, the product came as described and the price was good... so why not 5 stars? It was the weirdest shopping experience ever.
I clicked buy now and the screen went blank. No email to confirm purchase. Next day I email and ask order status. No response to that mail but I did receive another mail from them stating they received my order but with no order number, no confirmation number and they didn't identify what I ordered; just, "we received your order" The I get a call from a customer service rep because this is my first order. His caller ID says "Elite Blind Company" Now, I'm sure I've been scammed.
I call back and get a manager who confirms my order, sends me an order number and assures me the product is ready for shipping. 12 hours later I received a tracking number and the next day I got my camera.
In the end it worked out but it was an ordeal.

Working from home - order came to home address as ...

Working from home - order came to home address as it should - was not the correct item (I needed more components for it). I called and had to fill out a return survey and order a whole new item and pay for new item. Just received notice the new item is being shipped to the wrong address instead of the home address that the 1st one was sent to. Called PC Nation right away and they said sorry they couldn't do anything about it as FedEx already had it; however, I can purchase another one from them to have it sent to the correct address (which the wrong address was their mistake). I already paid for 2 items and now they want me to pay for a 3rd? I haven't even received the information for the return so I can get the credit for that one!! They made a mistake and will not fix it. Now I have to figure out how to get the item from the wrong address to my home. In the meantime I won't have the item to be more efficient working from home.

Have been waiting three weeks for a tracking number. Numerous calls to customer service have gotten me nowhere. Was told on numerous occasions someone would contact me by the end of the business day, yet I received no calls. Filling dispute with my bank, it is no longer worth my time talking in circles with the company.

You walk in and are greeted as if you were staying overnight as a guest. The layout is clean and well organized, not cluttered and cramped with as much as possible like most big box retailers. Great PC's, printers, and an awesome camera section. Above all the staff was extremely knowledgeable especially the Australian guy there named Shane.

Unreasonable web return policy. Returned a product at my own expense to PCNation with a restocking fee. Inquired about the possibility of waving the fee, in light of it being the holiday season and the product still being sealed in it's original packaging. My inquiry was ignored, and refund minus fee was processed without any human interaction.

This place is great! I spent a lot of time looking for an obscure part on the web, and found a few places that claimed to have it, but didn't really, so I decided to call around to the companies that said they stocked it. I called PCNation first, since they had fast shipping, and spoke with Joel K. It's been a long time since I've received such great customer service! He even texted me a photo of the item to be sure it was the correct part. It was. I'll definitely use them again and refer my friends and customers.

shipped requiring signature. no indication of that. wasted another day! never again. all they need to do is tell you they are doing that... and sure, I've got all the time to wait for fedex....
