Old building with a lot of history (IMF agreement signed in 1944).
The Cave is an excellent, fun bar that opens 9pm-midnight and offers live music, shuffleboard, and a reasonable bar selection, including a delicious Woodford Reserve made especially for the hotel.
The deluxe double rooms are very spacious but the King deluxe is quite small and leaves much to be desired. Bathroom in the King rooms are quite small, for example.
The boiler broke on our checkout day so there was no hot water, making a warm shower on a -2 degree morning impossible. This was really the low point of the stay. If I were rating the place as a hotel, I would likely give it 2 or 3 stars. The 4 star rating is really on the strength of the amenities.
