The Mount Washington Hotel is a wonderful weekend getaway.

A holdover from the late 1800's and early 1900's, "Grand Hotels" like the Mount Washington Hotel have a different feel to them than our modern hotels and inns. With small rooms and spacious and beautiful common areas, social interaction is encouraged.

There are several different dining and drinking areas within the hotel, and also some shops that serve coffee or where you can buy souvenirs or keepsakes. The staff are all friendly, the grounds are beautiful, and the food is top-notch. And the hotel also offers many amenities and activities, like spa and ski packages, sleigh rides, golf, swimming, and more.

For some, the hotel will be a bit pricey. The cheapest rooms are around $300 per night with all the fees and things added, and make sure you have extra money because they hold an additional $200 for "incidentals" until you leave. Prices vary for meals and drinks, though, and you can probably find something within your price range, especially if you're only there for one night.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Mount Washington Hotel for a unique hotel experience that will make you feel like you're on the Titanic.
