Please DO NOT send any elderly person here.

Please DO NOT send any elderly person here.

They are severely understaffed. Have rotating traveling Doctors that are only there for three or four days stints, not enough CNA’s and overloaded nurses.

My loved one was placed on NPO twice (which is no food) for no reason and had no procedures scheduled. I was bringing in food from outside because even the nurses couldn’t understand why the order was out in and then not taken out. They are unable to properly control blood sugar and after 4 days of inquiries I requested a consult with Endocrinology and was told they don’t have one on staff. Food is dangerous, the dietitian was giving patients the wrong orders and giving diabetics desserts and juice. Broken beds that do not adjust properly, medication compliance issues where they are giving poor substitutes or no substitutes for necessary medications.

The list goes on and on. When everyone there is a hired mercenary, there will always be issues and your loved ones will pay the price for their negligence.

Practically have to beg to have bed changed. Ridiculous what extended family has to go through to be a visitor in labor and delivery! Starting of construction and very inconsiderate of being on a different floor. Get it together Forsyth!

Nursing Staff sucked. CNA'S do not do their job. They do not check on their patients or see if you need anything. So if you have a family member in this hospital make sure you have someome here to change sheets, diapers, gowns, or just gwneral needs of your loved ones.

I was there back in 2012 for a C-section with my wife. The staff was horrible. While my wife was laying there on the operating table she began to vomit and her heart rate began to drop. I had to yell at the nurse behind me that was too busy playing on her phone to even notice what was going on. If I didn't yell at her, she would've never known. Also, before the C-section even began, it took them over an hour to put in her epidural . It left a massive bruise the size of a grapefruit on her spine. They had a kid that had never even tried to do an epidural before, attempt it on my wife. They did not even ask our permission to let a student do that. In the middle of the C-section the doctor walked away for nearly an hour and let a student finish up on my wife. My wife nearly died because of their negligence .

In the emergency room right now and have been here for 6 hours. When I asked for an administrator they came and told me that they were busy and there is nothing that they could do as I'm sitting in pain for 6 hours. I will never come back here again. I would sooner die than to come back here. As this is going on as nurses are in the hallways talking and laughing. I also seen some dancing. I have video to prove it. This is not what healthcare should be like. Also when u ask any question everyone has an attitude. Never again.

Terrible customer service and care. I'm the POA of my mother. I have been sitting here for well over 2hrs in my mothers room and asked the cna and nurse for information and im still waiting, called yesterday and did not call me back this is the worst service I had ever experienced.

I came here as the result of a car accident. Sat in the waiting room for 6 hours before I was seen by a Dr. The Dr wasn't so bad but the nurse didn't seem she was too fond of her job. The place was a mess, trash in the floors, dirty linens left laying around. Once I mentioned it to someone else who had been waiting 5 hours also, a receptionist came over and cleaned it up. She was wonderful. She went above and beyond to try and comfort my crying baby and even went around the waiting room passing out warm blankets. Otherwise my whole experience here was bad enough to persuade me to never return.

One word, DON T!!! Wish I could give 0 stars smh. Very dirt floors room was dirty and not mention I left in the same pain I came in but was treated like I was faking even though my primary care physician sent me here after appointment earlier. Waited 4-5 hours was seen almost 15 mins and discharged bc they couldn t help smh. Now I just refuse to go to any hospital again at this point.

This is the third time me and my wife had to be here, the cafeteria staff is disrespectful and have no cares whether you get the right order or not, and will basically laugh at you and say that s all they have and walk out, this has happened each time we ve had to stay here and I m rating the nutrition 0 stars, the nursing staff is great they went and found my wife s food each time the nutrion said they didn t have what she ordered. We ordered at 3 and we didn t get the wrong tray till almost 7, 0 stars on the nutrition staff, they need training and some serious work on their customer service, I guarantee if you go almost 24 hours without eating and after surgery you would be upset too if you got the wrong tray. Doctors and nursing staff is awesome and that s why we keep coming here but nutrition needs work.

Stay away from this torture I Sat there for 10hrs so I went to ask how long it was gonna take for me to see the doctor and she said "I Don't know" so I walked out and went to a different medical center. I think it would be nice to like go in pretending being sick and record it and post it in the news or something maybe they care about humans health. I'd rather die than go back to this place.

I was at Forsyth Medical Center this morning waiting for my granddaughter to give birth. While waiting, there were six children in the maternity waiting area. I had read that children under 12 we re not supposed to be in the hospital at all due to the flu epidemic. Someone brought in food for them from McDonald s and after eating one of the children vomited in the floor near where my family was sitting . It took some time before anyone even tried to clean it up finally the man with the children got some paper towels and cleaned up the mess. No one bothered to use any water or disinfect the place after the mess was cleaned up. This was very upsetting to my family since we were visiting with a new mother and her baby . Why is this allowed ?
I tried posting this once before and could not find where it had been posted so I am putting it on here again. This was a very very bad experience for me and my family .

This place was a nightmare to have a child at. I will never go here again for anything. All the nurses have a horrible attitude and look like they don't care. They do not need to be a nurse. I basically was delivered by a nurse because the doctor was unavaible. Plus I requested that I did not want any students from wake forest to observe and sure enough I had an audience of about 7 strangers. I was seriously traumatized from this experience and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

THIS RATING IS FOR THE ER DEPARTMENT. IF I COULD R...

THIS RATING IS FOR THE ER DEPARTMENT. IF I COULD RATE A 0 I ABSOLUTELY WOULD! MY HUSBAND HAD TO GO THERE UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO COMPLICATIONS FROM HIS KIDNEY STONE SURGERY AND IT BEING AFTER HOURS. A CAT SCAN WAS PERFORMED AND THE PA'S CONCLUSION WAS CONSTIPATION AND A MILD INFECTION OF HIS URETER. SURELY THERE WAS A UROLOGIST ON CALL THAT NIGHT AND HE NEVER STEPPED FOOT THROUGH THE DOOR. I MIGHT COULD UNDERSTAND SEEING STRICTLY A PA IF THE ER WAS PACKED FULL BUT THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE CASE WHATSOEVER. KNOWING A PATIENT HAD JUST HAD SURGERY SHOUKD HAVE BEEN REASON ENOUGH TO SEE A UROLOGIST, NOT A PA. WHILE THE NURSES SAT AT THEIR STATIONS AND LOUDLY CHATTED IT UP ABOUT THEIR UPCOMING PLANS AND OTHER MESS TALK WE SAT AND SAT HAVING TO LISTEN TO IT FOR THE 4.5 HOURS WE WERE THERE. WE HAD TO CALL THE NURSE IN TO LET HER KNOW HIS IV WAS DONE, SHE NEVER REGULARLY CHECKED UP ON HIM. AFTER 4.5 HOURS OF LISTENING TO THAT WE WERE READY TO LEAVE. IN CONCLUSION, OUR UROLOGIST LOOKED OVER THE CAT SCAN THE VERY NEXT MORNING AND CONCLUDED THAT MY HUSBAND WAS SUFFERING FROM HYDRONEPHROSIS WHICH IS EXTREMELY PAINFUL AND VERY DANGEROUS IF LEFT UNTREATED. ALTHOUGH HE DID HAVE MILD CONSTIPATION THAT WAS NOT MY HUSBAND'S MAIN ISSUE, NOR DID HE HAVE AN INFECTION. JUST MAYBE HAD A UROLOGIST TAKEN THE TIME TO COME IN OR LOOK AT THE SCAN THIS COULD HAVE BEEN DETECTED OR AT LEAST I HOPE IT WOULD HAVE. THE NURSES BEHAVIOR AND OURS IN PARTICULAR WAS VERY CADDY, HUMMING OUT LOUD IN THE ROOM WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS IN EXTREME PAIN. THANKFULLY, WE WERE ABLE TO GO TO MEDICAL PARK WHERE MY HUSBAND HAD TO HAVE ANOTHER SURGERY TO FIX THIS SEVERE ISSUE.
THEIR CARE IS TOP NOTCH AS ARE THEIR NURSES.
AS SOMEONE WHO HAS WORKED IN THE HEALTHCARE FIELD I CAN TELL YOU IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL PLACES I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS ER DEPARTMENT.
FROM HERE OUT I WILL TAKE MY FAMILY TO BAPTIST WHERE THEY CAN AND WOULD SEE AN ACTUAL MD THAT KNOWS WHAT THE HELL IS REALLY GOING ON! FO THINK IM HOING TO HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT KIND OF TREATMENT IS DISGRACEFUL.
WE PAY WAY TOO MUCH MONEY FOR GOOD INSURANCE TO HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS KIND OF INSANITY.
IT'S NO WONDER THEIR RATING IS SO LOW AND IF THEY DON'T SOON WAKE UP AND READ PATIENTS COMMENTS AND MAKE CRITICAL AND VERY NECESSARY CHANGES THEY WILL BE NO LONGER, AS WELL THEY SHOULDN'T!
I'M OUTRAGED!!! GET IT TOGETHER IN YOUR ER NOVANT!!! PATHETIC!!!

I have never been more scared in my life to give birth to my first child at this hospital. Not only did this hospital give me a reason to call a lawyer, but tonight I had to deal with a doctor who did not know why I was cramping (thank goodness for the nurses they care). I had a chief resident deliver news like it was some kind of dramatic situation. I'm scared to give birth, because you failed to find an IUD back in 2015. Now I'm pregnant with the same one you said came out. If it came out how do i still have it? I'm scared for my daughter and I'm scared for myself. A hospital that delivers an average of 600 babies a month you should know what an iud looks like. My daughter saved me, because if it wasn't for Baptist caring enough to search I would have went more than 5 years with this birth control.

All that i have to say is that if a person don't have enough money, that person should die without treatment. The reason why i'm saying that is because my mother in law is suffering from blood clot in her stomatch and a doctor came to see her during the day and she was admitted in the morning.Right now their's only nurse looking after her, when we are asking anout her result of scan they said mext morning when the doctor will come then we will know. The nurse cannot be blame in that.So if we don't have money to pay for two night or 3 night for her to stay there, that mean she should die?

Went in for foot surgery. Horrible experience, horrendous outdated hospital! Those poor nurses! Overworked and underpaid! Gerri was my post op nurse she was amazing. I needed crutches. My physician left and never consulted with my family or myself. I had no idea what i was in for!! Don't do any serious procedure here. After surgery I was in recovery out of it no privacy, no curtain my breasts were exposed! My privacy was not taken into account. I was late because there was no one to take me back to surgery. The preop people were inappropriate. Horrible experience!! Novant is a greedy monster!! I am done with them !!! 30 K later and awful care!! I am reporting them to whomever i can find!! Gerri you deserve better!!! Dr Vogler might be a great guy to everyone but me idk but in Dallas I would have been treated better! It was like some podunk hillbilly hospital. Get it together Novant! I AM APPALLED!!

My father has been in the hospital for the past week, and every single person we have interacted with has shown great care and compassion. The cardio thoracic surgeon, every nurse on the 6th floor, the sweet lady who brings him food, the transportation team, the parking attendant, and the housekeeper who told my mom "he's in good hands, don't you worry." I leave him there every night knowing he is in great hands.

Talk about unprofessional and rude. I'm not talking about the company but the employees are just down right mean. Not just the average "oh she's mean" I'm talking about the kind that makes you fell like no one in this world cares about you. Im talking about KRISTEN FEUERSTEIN, this women is out of her mind, treating people this way will not get you anywhere, ask yourself this, would you want someone treating your mom this way?

It took me a while to track down this person but I feel all my hard work was worth it to let you folks know so you can look out for her in life.

If there wasn't a problem I would not wast my time on this, please listen to me and stay away from people like this, they only bring negative energy to any business, this is a sure way to loose customers for good. I'm hurt most if all not so angry anymore. God bless.

Took my husband here for moderate chest pain, pain down his left arm, and his jaw area. The front desk ED staff was prompt but laughing and carrying on seeming unconcerned. The nurses took him back promptly and started asking questions got him in a room and on the EKG machine and had a new hire or a student not sure which take 2 tries at starting an IV. Got his blood drawn after that and an X-ray done. The doctor came back in a couple hours later and said his test all looked fine and she thinks it s a pulled muscle. A PULLED MUSCLE. He s done absolutely nothing to pull a muscle, and she informed him he had arthritis in his left shoulder...well ok, that didn t just happen overnight, what s causing this chest pain should we run more test to check for blockages..nope sent him home with Ibuprofen and muscle relaxers and said if he wanted further test run he would have to follow up with his primary care physician, got his discharge papers and that was it. No one showed us how to even get out of the place. So now he is home, still have chest pain and thankfully his primary care dr will see him today. I hope he is ok and we can do what it takes to find the problem for these heart attack symptoms, I m concerned, however the dr was not. 2 stars bc The promptness and nurses were nice enough.

I was rushed to the emergency department in an ambulance and then set in the waiting room. It took 2 hours for them to get blood then another 3 hours back in the waiting room. My condition got so much worse that I could no longer even sit up. So my husband helped me out to the car and brought me home without even seeing a doctor.

The "professional investigation" on my complaints was a joke they never questioned the right people...p.s. to prove doctor was trying to give me wrong medication you could look in computer and see the nurse checked it out. When I questioned it... and you could have asked the pt guy how upset we were with the neurologist and her false statements but hey... is over so

Yesterday morning (3/21/19) just solidified my belief in Novant Health system. The employees at every Novant place I've ever been has been heartless and uncaring. My visit yesterday was mainly for numbness under my shoulder blade and some pain as well. I'm more concerned about the numbness than the pain. The Dr I saw, Bridgette Dixon, didn't even physically look at my shoulder. All she did was order x-rays. After getting the x-rays she came back to the room (I thought maybe she'd take a look at my shoulder then but no she didn't) and told me the x-rays looked fine so she was going to refer me to an orthopedic surgeon. Everything I've read about my symptoms points to something going on with a nerve. I felt like I was being treated like someone with a drug addiction looking for my next high, that's how the doctor made me feel. She made me feel like she didn't believe anything I was saying. I will never go back to Novant Health even if I think I might be dying. And I'll be going to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital to have my shoulder looked at. I'm sure the doctors at Baptist will actually look at my shoulder!

My wife recently was taken into the emergency department with a heart condition. She was admitted and soon was on the sixth floor room 6104. I noticed a sign on the wall which read, "We want to be the best!" My wife and I both thought they treated her like a queen. Everyone from the lady cleaning the room, doctors, nurses were kind, cheerful, encouraging. Another point to mention, believe it or not, the hospital food was delicious and very well presented. I give them 5 stars! Loyd

I recently moved to Forsyth Co. and I had my first trip to the E.R. and the labor and delivery department last night because I am pregnant. The room I was put in had dried blood on the wall, piles of dust bunnies in the floor, and something splattered all over the wall that had clearly been dried for some time. One nurse in particular was extremely rude and didn't even think twice about how she treated me and the things she said to me. I'll be looking for another hospital to have my child in, one that actually sweeps the floors.

My husband came to the ER on Sunday morning, January 31st and came in contact with several departments on his admission through Thursday, February 4th. Almost every person we came in contact with was amazing. He had emergency surgery with Dr. Call and Dr. Josh Rickey. Pulmonary staff which I didn t get names, Dr. Darnell from Infectious Disease and a list of wonderful nurses, RTs, CNAs, and nutrition services. Here are the names of the exceptional staff we encountered:
ICU 112 Jennifer, Ashleigh, Terrance, Lenore
7317 Katie, Toshima, Mara, Mackenzie
X-ray Marla, Rickey
We appreciate you all for your care and compassion! Each one of you were exceptional!
Those who assisted Dr. Call in the OR I never got your names, but thank you for saving my husband s life. Me and our 3 children appreciate you all. And the lady from nutrition services I never got your name, but you were so kind and helpful. I need to specifically point out Mara and Katie from 7th floor. They both went out of their way to care for my husband both physically and mentally.
Travis is now home and working towards a full recovery thanks to you all!

The "care" I received at Novant Hospital, Winston-...

The "care" I received at Novant Hospital, Winston-Salem was the worst I have ever received in such a facility. I was transported there from the Novant Medical Center in Clemmons. On the way to the Clemmons location, my blood sugar was tested, which was about 93. At the Clemmons facility, I was told that I would be given insulin and breakfast. However, the ambulance arrived to take me to the W-S location before that was done. I'm not sure of the exact time that I arrived at Novant, Winston-Salem, though I am sure that it was between 7:00 and 8:30 am. Though I kept telling the staff that I needed insulin and something to eat, I was not given either until I was taken to a room, which was after 1:00 pm. The whole time that I was at the hospital my blood sugar was between the 200's and 400+. I requested more insulin, but I was told that the nurses were following "protocol." I was admitted following a TIA, which is common in diabetics, and is especially common in diabetics with blood sugar which is not in good control. Thanks for your "excellent" care which put me in danger of having another TIA before I even left the hospital!

The dirtiest hospital I have ever seen. I have been here 5 weeks with my Dad and rarely see housekeeping or maintenance. Waiting room floors are filthy because they never get cleaned. We finally asked for a broom and swept the floor but have no way to sanitize it. Bathroom trashcans are usually overflowing, no paper towels, low or no soap, low toilet paper, toilets splattered and dirty. This place is full of sick people with weakened immune systems, you'd think they would understand the importance of keeping things clean. My Dad is here with 3 infections after a surgery (performed here) and the longer we are at Forsyth, the better I understand why he is in this situation. Our home is much cleaner and more sanitary, I wish we could take him home so he could get better.

My grandson is currently in the NICU. I am increasingly uncomfortable in the level of compassionate care. I am not one who calls continuously and impedes the care the nurses render. I have only called there twice in 2.5 weeks however I have been banned and restricted from calling with concerns. I cannot wait for the baby to be discharged from the facility. The staff attitude seems to be cold and unaffectionate.

I was very dissatisfied with my visit to the ER today. I checked in & was told to have a seat & they would call me to a room shortly. Many patients came in after me & were taken immediately to a treatment room. They finally called me to have an X-ray & the technician was complaining the entire time. I asked a few times when I was going to be called back & they kept telling me that I was next. I am a nurse myself & only went to the ER because my medical doctor advised me to go. 4 hours later, I told a nurse that I was leaving & she reassured me that I was next. Most of the front staff & triage nurses were not friendly or helpful. I always told my family that I wanted to go there if something should happen to me, however after this experience I have changed my mind.

If you or a loved one is sick. RUN DON'T WALK AWAY...

If you or a loved one is sick. RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE PLACE. This e.r. is a joke a very bad joke. Upon arrival at 5:15pm a man was laying on the floor in the e.r. covered by a hospital sheet. Another girl was brought in and left, she had o.d.ed and was unresponsive. The e.r. staff walked over and around her for over an hour. Even after being alerted that she was not moving. Another lady was taken to the back I.V. started shirt removed given a hospital gown and sheet, brought back the the e.r. lobby to wait and wait like everyone else. We were there for over 5 hours watching sick people throw up as security cleaned it with a towel only. This place reminded me of a horror movie. It was frightening, my little girl was to afraid to stay, not to mention it was after 10:00 pm and we still had not been called to the back. Frightening to think of all the germs and illness being contained in that area. No one to care for the sick people much less clean up behind them. It appeared as if they were very short staffed, the staff they had did not regard anyone with caring attention. Never again. NEVER. Worse hospital E.R. ever.

There is a lack of communication on 6th floor Medical Select Hospital, which I am told is its own hospital. Report is given orally best I can tell from listening to many while my friends was here. I had "doctors' ask me what meds my friend was on. Seriously? I am a visitor you are a doctor you should know. Some people seemed to be unaware that he had a large bedsore on his tail bone. Some staff unaware that he had a liver drain..
when a plastic wrapped medical accessory is knocked in the floor and thrown back up on the counter area I know that a gloved hand will touch it and use it presuming it is 'clean'. Maybe a wall poster to remind staff of what to do in this case. His last day before moving to palliative care a top quality butterfly bandage is used on his bedsore. Why not before now? The afternoon my friend agreed to go to palliative care the palliative care doctor promised him good pain medicine. He was not given the good pain medicine. I told the doctor that. I stayed with my friend as he was weeping with pain that afternoon and nite. All he was given was tylenol.
I told the doctor that the next day. The doctor showed me the order for fentanyl. He said he would look into it. The RN could not find the order.
When a patient has stiff arthritic hands, please open their straws, leave the call wand where they can reach it not on a bed table.
And by all means stay with anyone you can who has to stay in the hospital , especially the elderly and those who have no one to stay with them. There were two cna's that showed care, with tender words of comfort, one knew how to swab out his mouth, i had not seen that done on any floor at novant. I am forever grateful for their care.

Say NO to NOvant Health;

Say NO to NOvant Health;
I m usually a very calm, go with the flow individual, but I need to report how poor of an experience I have had with Novant Health s Urgent Care Facility:

I fell and broke my ankle. After calling my insurance, they found Novant Health s Urgent Care was the only Urgent Care facility open that evening that was in my network. They were open extended hours due to the extreme Flu issue.

After completing the paperwork, and confirming my insurance, I was brought for x-rays, and placed in a room for the Doctor. The doctor came in, advised that the radiologist was gone for the evening, and that I would be called the following day to get in to see the Orthopedic Dr. The doctor wrapped my ankle in Gauze, I was given crutches, and prescribed Hydro s, and sent on my way.

The next day, I waited until noon for the Orthopedic office to contact me, but no one did. I called, and was promptly told to be patient and someone will contact me. Again, no one contacted me. The next day, I called again, and was told all offices were busy because of the flu season, and that they will call me back to schedule an appointment!?!?

In excruciating pain, and worried about not knowing what was going on with my ankle, I called Wake Forest Baptist Health. They IMMEDIATELY advised me to come in and be treated because they didn t want to cause any additional damage or risk it healing incorrectly if it was in fact a break. While in the waiting room at WF Baptist Orthopedic s, Novant finally called to establish an appointment for the following week! I told the representative how upset I was about the lack of urgency and I wouldn t require any further assistance from Novant.

Wake Forest immediately ordered new X-Rays because the lab tech at Novant said that there was no indication of an issue with my ankle yet you could see clearly that there was. The X-Rays from Wake Forest proved that I had in fact broken my ankle. I was given an Air Cast and instructed on how to initiate my healing.

While recuperating at home, I was sent a bill from Novant for over $1,000 dollars, citing lack of insurance. After contacting Novant s billing department, I was told that it was in fact billed correctly and it was my issue and responsibility to have it corrected with my insurance company because they refused to pay it .

I called BCBS and they indicated that Novant both coded, and billed my care incorrectly. My insurance company called Novant directly and handled everything so I could relax and focus on healing .

I have since made a full recovery, and luckily didn t have to have any surgery or physical therapy. But what I learned from this experience is that I wouldn t even allow Novant Health to treat me for the common cold, let alone examine me for a physical.

Please read reviews and trust your instincts when it comes to your body and self, and say NO to NOvant Health. . .

I went to 4 different places with shortness of breath and a cough. I went from my PCP to gohealth to the hospital in clemmons and they finely sent me by ambulance to FMC. Everyone was kind. That word is used a lot but in this case it doesn't begin to cover how well I was treated at every stop. Everyone from the nurse standing outside my PCP's office checking temperatures to the lady who rolled me to my waiting (in the car)famliy showed me respect and kindness. Even if they didn't understand what agoraphobia is or what it does to me, they still were kind. The ones that do understand it went out of their way to make me comfortable and feel at ease. Not to mention the high quality medical care I received from the medical staff to treat the pneumonia I was suffering from. They did not just treat the pneumonia they treated ME, the patient, whole person.
You all have my unwavering gratitude and loyalty.

I have a relative that has been a patient here at Novant Health Forsyth Hospital since Sunday.
When I arrived on Sunday evening. I found the nurse's to be polite and prompt about informing me.
About the care my relative had received. As well as what the ongoing plans would be at that time.
They have kept me well informed and answer any questions I may have.
I definitely appreciate the fact that they
take their time to be sure we understand the treatment plan as it changes.
I have found everything to be very clean and sterile.
The Doctor's as well as the nurse's. Go
Over and beyond to care for their patient's. As well as very helpful and kind to the family members.
I would recommend Novant Forsyth Hospital. To anyone in need of medical attention.

Four hrs in the waiting room. This isn't acceptable to do to anyone let alone anyone that already does'nt feel well . Really used to think this place was a step up from Baptist hospital , but tonight has made me second guess that opinion .

I was 12 weeks pregnant with a horrible painful staph infection. I waited in the er for 4 hrs waiting to hear something from someone. when I finally got a room I was immediately put on an antibiotic drip and given a very strong pain killer. I was in the hospital for 4 days. But because I didn't "look" sick I sat in excruciating pain for hours in their waiting room. Now, I am 30 weeks pregnant and have gallbladder problems and waited at maternity triage for several hours because they are understaffed. It is a shame when people in the administrative office in order to save money get to decide how many people are staffed at a time. It shows that money is the priority and not their patients health.

Unprofessional staff in Emergency area. Haven't seen anyone in housekeeping since we got here with my family (patient being seen). They've been waiting since 5pm and its 12 mins after 10. They was hardly no one in the waiting area when they got here. There is no hand sanitizer in the waiting area, the bathrooms are disgusting. The vending machine is broke and its ice cold in here like the a/c is on. Should have gone to Baptist.

My father in-law was a patient at the Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center for the last couple of days. I just wanted to express my thankfulness for the care and concern that the doctors, nurses, and staff provided for him while he was there. They treated him with utmost respect and compassion, and gave him excellent care. I especially want to share how well he was taken care of on the 9th floor (room 9177) by a nurse named Beth. She was so personal and met all of his needs in a timely fashion. This experience, as well as former hospital experiences, have proven to be positive and left us with a feeling of trust that this facility strives to provide the best possible care for its patients. Thank you doctors, nurses, and staff!

I was in wonderful care from start to end. Traveled from Statesville to be at this hospital and would do it again if ever necessary. Thank you to everyone for the great care!

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! Upon arriving with my first time, full term pregnant daughter, who by the way was in pain and having contractions every 3-5 minutes. We were stopped by the front desk and were redirected to an office to register, and then turned away from that office because we shouldn't have been sent there according to the registration associate. A little over an hour my daughter was placed in a delivery room, where she endured another hour of pain while what looked like a kid tried to fix her up with an Epidural. During the next 8 hours my daughter was put through episode after episode of pushing all while experiencing crazy levels of pain and not once did a doctor visit the room. Finally, at 12 hours after arrival, the doctor was called as it was time to deliver, again another 15 minutes of pain and pushing. The baby arrives, and as the doctor was doing the after work on my daughter a mess was made all over the floor which got tracked through, and when the nurse went to take out the Epidural, how about she found that it wasn't even connected, that kid....and as a final jester of HORRIBLE, they moved my daughter to her room, when we reached the room to visit her and the baby, I happen to peak in the bathroom to make sure it was clean, bad idea. Evidently the nurse had helped her to the toilet which is routine, but isn't cleaning the blood off of the toilet afterward routine as well, or how about not leaving the thermometer that you plan to use on my daughter and grandson lying on the germ filled bathroom floor. HORRIBLE

With all the concern about covid 19 in the hospital you showed no concern for the ones that had to wait. When i asked to use the restroom i was directed to portal johns that have been sitting in the hot sun for days and not cleaned the total weekend, paper towel
dispenser did not work so where is the Covid 19 concern for us. They were full and nasty. Just total nonconcern for the health of those waiting.

Sit in a room for hours in the ER listening to nurses talk about their boyfriends, in explicit detail. i then express my displeasure with the Dr. when he finally came in. Then he turned into a smartass. He said we are welcome to leave ama. (Against Medical Advice)
I have been to this hospital many a time over the years; but never again. They have forgotten what professionalism, and courtesy means.

Terrible ER. Very unkind. They are uniformative about how things are coming along. The Dr. Was even worse. Such a shame health care is going down hill every day. People only think of themselves these days. Also that ER needs a good cleaning. Blood on the beds and gowns. So sad I know it's just going to get worse.

I have had a couple of admissions to this hospital in the past year. The first was an anterior/posterior lumbar spinal fusion. I had a 4 day stay, the second was for complications from the flu for 3 days. Both visits was extremely top notch care. They are truly as their ads say, Remarkable People, Remarkable Care.

I was at the Forsyth memorial hospital maternity waiting area today and was very uneasy about the number of children running loose because there are signs prohibiting children under twelve
The staff had children program's on the tv and after one child became sick no staff member offered to clean up the mess or even disinfectant the area
I would hope that the hospital would put a stop to the spreading of germs especially where children are being born

The following is for Forsyth Medical Center in Ker...

The following is for Forsyth Medical Center in Kernersville, NC: Bottom line up front, find a different hospital. I wish there was a way to give this place less than a star, but 1 star is as low as Google will allow it to go. Recently, my pregnant sister found herself in the ER with a major 'blockage' in the upper part of her intestine and was in severe pain. First of all, the ER doctor was condescending and had the type of attitude that simply said "I can treat you how ever I want to because you are in a vulnerable state and you need me". Being 6 weeks pregnant (everyone knows the first trimester is critical), she was skeptical about receiving an x-ray of her upper abdominal area and asked the ER doctor whether or not the radiation was going to be at a safe setting for the baby. He averted her question, and told her that "we all take risks in life"... so she asked again and he continued to NOT answer her question but instead say "Ma'am it's up to you. You can refuse the treatment, it's your choice." Why wouldn't he give her an answer?
My whole family is on edge as this was the same thing that happened to our grandmother; she was sent home with magnesium citrate (liquid laxative) for a blockage and subsequently died when her colon ruptured. Can you guess what my sister was sent home with? Magnesium citrate! She was sent on her way with a prescription in hand and told that this was all that could be done for her.
No one should be treated this way. When people find themselves going to the ER, they are desperate for treatment/diagnosis. They deserve to be cared for, not treated horribly or as if they are imposing on the good doctor's coffee break. These doctors need to reevaluate themselves and remember why they chose this profession.

On Friday May 17th, 2019 between 4 p.m. and 4:12 p.m. in emergency triage room number one, a nurse named Camilla had a shockingly rude, nasty, and condescending demeanor towards my daughter who is 19. My daughter had just come to the emergency room having been in a car accident in which she and the driver were not at fault and she was a passenger with the driver. She suffered spinal pain, neck pain, and had inadvertently begin her menstrual cycle from the trauma that was caused.

From the time we entered the emergency room we had let the attendants know that she was bleeding. After my daughter had to sit in the emergency waiting room for over an hour waiting for a room, I let one of the male emergency room attendants know that my daughter was still bleeding. Between 4:00pm and 4:12 p.m. they took my daughter inside of triage room 1 again where Camilla was with another nurse in attendance.

Camilla began, asking questions of my daughter, however, her tone was very abrupt, she was very snappy and short with my daughter, she sat back in her seat with her hands crossed in front of her stomach elbows resting on her chair, her head tilted to the left side and looking at my daughter as if she thought my daughter was lying, and as if she was fed up with my daughter and was anxious to display her disgust.

Her tone and the inflection in her voice relayed the same message. After she asked my daughter about two or three times if she was pregnant and my daughter repeatedly told her she was a virgin. Camilla basically blew off what my daughter had to say and sent her back out into the waiting room where she had to wait another 30 to 45 minutes.

My daughter was in tears. It's very sad that on top of the physical pain she was having she had to deal with the nasty attitude of this nurse who is supposed to be a professional but her attitude and disposition were anything but professional. It was very disheartening to receive this type of service from a nurse at this facility.

Last month my 22 year old son died in this facility. I should never have bought my daughter to Forsyth. The only reason why she went there was because it was the closest hospital and she just in a car accident. But at this rate we would have done better to go to another facility. People beware.

Cannot say enough about the wonderful staff and care the Radiology Oncology gave to me during my radiation. FMC should be proud to have a wonderful, professional, caring and compassionate team as John, Faith and Keida. The fears I had the first day quickly disappeared because of them. They let me know what was going to happen and answered my questions. If cancer rears its ugly head again, I know I will receive the best care possible at FMC. Tana Huddleston

It's was amazing the caring of the nurses and staff at the Birthing Center. Too many nurses to name on here. 3rd, 4th floor and lactation departments are just AWESOME! It was a great journey and if my son could talk, I think he would say it was exceptional how well they took care of him, his mom and dad while he was being delivered and helped us get things going in the right direction before we started our journey together into the world. Birth classes were well worth the time. Great information and app to prepare you. Newborn classes, breast feeding classes. Just can't say enough about the great experience we had. Our sincere thanks to everyone. Even others that we met helped to get us where we needed to be when going to cafeteria and other services. 5 stars doesn't even come close to how we feel about our experience!
