I was with a friend last Saturday (3/9/2018) and had a very bad experience with this dealer. We were trying to purchase a certified RX350 that was listed for $36,987 for my friend's wife. My friend liked the car after we test-drove it and he decided to negotiate for the car with the first offer of $34,000 (without the Lexus certification which is worth about $1000). After our first offer, the salesman (his name is Bobby), who we were dealing with, came back after talking to his manager and said they would let the car go with the price of $36,487 ($500 off from listed price) and it had to be purchased with the Lexus certification (since Lexus changed the rule regarding Lexus certification at the beginning of this year, and would not allow the dealer to sell certified car with the certification taking off anymore as in the past, per the salesman). He also said there was another couple who were also interested in the car and would like to purchase it, but because we were testing the car first so we should be the first in line to purchase the car. While my friend and me discussed about the dealer counter offer of $36,487, the sale manager came in and said to his salesman that the car was sold to the other couple (who were 2nd in line for the car) at full price. He did not even bother to look at us and explain what was going on. He just basically said to his salesman: " The car was sold. Just sold at full price" and repeated it again after seeing his salesman's surprised face, then walked away and did not even appear to feel bad about what he just did. We had the right to purchase the car first because we tested the car and started the negotiation process first with a written contract. However, this dealer did not respect their own contract because they could sell the car for $500 more. They sold the car for $500 more but at the same time they just sold their reputation for that "much" money. It is sad to see that. I bought cars at this dealer before and had good experience. That was why I brought my friend there and recommended the dealer to several friends in the past, but after this experience, I would never recommend this place to anyone....
Response to the pre-owned sale manager: what you said were factually incorrect. First, who said we were given many occasions to purchase the car and we rejected? It was a lie! My friend and I were discussing about your 1st offer from your salesman, Bobby, and within 10 minutes or so, we were told the car was sold. Second, the car was sold at full price and $500 more than what was offered to us. The sale manager PROUDLY said twice that the car was sold at full price just like I said above. And that proud sale manager is you, Mr Mertes. I was trying to be nice by not mentioning your name in my previous post. Anyway, It was you that told us that the car was sold at full price. Now you said that it was sold at the same price that was offered to us. (???) Unbelievable!!! You even said that it was the decision you and the general sale manager made when I confronted you that what you did was wrong. Please keep the facts straight.

Overall good service and friendly staff. This is unprofessional: Said I needed a cabin filter for $85. This is a 5-10 minute task with a $20 part. As it was taken out while in service, yes it was dirty, there was debris on it and it was put back in with the same. I would expect it to be shaken or brushed off prior to the reinstall. Is this laziness or just a big revenue builder? Very poor service and/or customer service in respect to the cabin filter.

I had initially worked with Sheila via email who was quick to respond and help with my inquiry for a new car, but I quickly found out that the pre-owned route was the best to go as far as price point. She got me set-up to work with Max in the pre-owned sales dept. He was very knowledgeable with the cars we test-drove and was not pushy with trying to get me to buy that day. He more was focused on making sure I had a good experience with the process in general in making sure I feel comfortable with all of it, which is always appreciated in the process of purchasing a new car. At the end, the General Sales Manager, Matt K was great in following up to make sure if we do ever need any help that himself, Max, or anyone else there would be able to service any questions or concerns I have in the future. I would highly recommend anyone to come in to the store, and they will feel welcome. I was not even in the market for one of the luxury vehicles that they normally offer, and they still treated me as if I were :) Thanks for all of the help Lexus!!

This included turning over my old lease vehicle (which wasn t a Lexus) as well as the lease on my new Lexus. This saved me from the whole process of turning in my vehicle at another dealership. Earlier in the year I had a repair done that was over $2500 and the vehicle needed it. They gave me a new loaner to drive, fixed my 2003 Lexus and it is working great. Today I had a service done. Again they gave me a brand new, and great, loaner to drive because I needed to get to work. I thought something was broken and told them to fix it. Beau my service agent called back and said the service was much less than anticipated because only the most minor part was malfunctioning. It was a quick and simple fix totaling about $150. I was pleasantly surprised and appreciate how things went today. Many dealerships will charge for service and parts you do not need. An honest dealership? Who could have imagined?!

Unorganized and staff members are not efficient. My vehicle did get fixed but after bring it back three times and a few items getting stolen. In addition, lack of communication even after leaving several messages.

I would not recommend this dealership at this location. The brand Lexus is great but not this dealership. Lack of management and good customer service staff.

My daughter brought her 2004 ES330 in because the Check engine,VSC lights on and TRAC off warning came on. This is typically a message for the gas cap not being on correctly or a leak somewhere. I had previously put it on my error code reader and that is what it told me. I cleared out the error code and a week later it came back on. She brought it in to Lexus and they put on a new gas cap. A week later same thing happened and she brought it back and after talking to the service manager he agreed to re diagnose the car to help find out where the leak is coming from.Very happy with the resolution.

We bought a 2011 Ford Explorer with 50,000 miles on it. The price was fair but it only came with one key. We didn't know it only came with one key until after we signed the papers. When we asked for second key, we were told no. A few weeks after the purchase, there were some addition papers that needed signing on the trade we used. We refused to sign the papers unless we got a second key. It turned into this huge ordeal where my husband threatened to tell everyone on Facebook, everyone he played pool with and everyone who would listen about our experience. We paid over 30K for a used truck and they couldn't even provide us with a second key. After my husband's threats, the sales guy agreed to pay for the second key out of his own pocket. In the end, we did get the second key but geesh, it was a lot of emotion to get it.

After bringing my vehicle in for service, I heard a loud ticking noise coming from the glove box. I brought this up with my service rep, Tom. Tom had me bring my vehicle back in to get it diagnosed, since it sounded like a problem with the cabin air filter, and those are inspected during the service I had. It turned out that I had a problem with an air filter component and they remedied the problem at no cost to me. The service department has a high level of integrity, and they are extremely professional. I would highly recommend bringing your vehicle here for service.

While previous experience has been fair - my recent visit has been downright horrific.

My Certified IS250 was brought in for some minor rust build up, and the service advisor taking charge, whom I will not name, made it clear that all services will be taken care of without any monetary obligations from me.

The experience from that point moving forward was nothing but unprofessional. Once my vehicle was brought in, the advisor went silent. I reached out to connect with him and left emails, texts, and voicemails to follow up on the status of my vehicle, but only received silence. Only after a fellow service advisor nudged a little, he finally reached out after 6 weeks.

After informing me that things were delayed due to paperwork that needed to be submitted, the advisor assured me that the service would be complete within the week. More than a week goes by without any updates. When I finally received a call from the services department, it was only from the service director himself essentially querying why my vehicle was sitting in their lot for so long.

Ultimately, warranty has expired, and any commitments the advisor conveyed were rescinded.

While it is understandable that warranty has expired, not acknowledging the advisor's false commitments while also keeping my vehicle for 7 weeks was the most upsetting.

After coming into the dealership to return the loaner vehicle, the advisor never approached me to offer an apology but instead pawned me off to the director and disappeared. The lack of accountability is insane.

I brought my car into Lexus to repair the power stearing. They did a good job doing that repair. When I received my vehicle back, I received another report of "urgent" repairs that my car needed. One of the repairs was the rear brakes.

I have my car at another shop right now for some body work and new tires. I asked them to also check the brakes. The current shop said that the brakes still look great and there is no need to repair them.

As a female consumer who doesn't know a lot about cars, that is a huge breach of trust. Why would I be told that it is an urgent repair when the brakes are 100% fine? Up-selling and money. They were friendly and did a good job on the repair that occurred, but this is just ripping people-off. I will not be back.

I had a very good experience with my older model Lexus here. I brought it in for an alternator repair and shortly after there was a issue with the radio in the car which I had thought was was related. I brought the car back in for diagnosis and they ended up performing the diagnostic without charging me and offered me a free new model loaner car during the process. As it turned out the radio issue was totally unrelated to the repair. I would recommend them to friends or family as it is clear they are fair and willing to take the extra step in favor of their customers.

I have purchased many cars in my lifetime, and this definitely has been one of the best, if not the best experiences I ve had from start to finish while purchasing a vehicle, which is all owed to SARA, the best car sales expert I ve ever worked with. May sound like I m being hyperbolic but I am not, she walked me through the process on our initial talks and because I wasn t quite set on a particular model, she remained very patient as we worked through many inventory listing and pricing structures until I found the one for me. Lexus of Maplewood customers service is another level based on requirements or high standards ser my thr owner Thomas.or Tom. I have been to Lexus wazata, Chicago and Fort Myers Florida, but lexus of Maplewood beat them all hands down. All, those that work there seems to me doing thier best Job especially my services guy Thomas Schultz. He is on another wavelength interms of customers serice. Thom goes out ofnhis way to may you feel at home. The pricing is fare and depending on work done. The back end mechanics and also doing q marvelous job if you ask me. Additionally, if your car is gonna be there unti thr next day or two or more, the make sure.you got q loner car usually less than 10k.mils on them. Sometimes same day if requested. What else can i say. The owner set thr bar very high or highest qs such rhe employees are going out of the way to make thwir customer vwr happy.

I have going to lexua of Maplewood since 2000 when i boufht my first used Lexus LS 400. Even after i got E300, GX470, Rx 300 and now LS 430.. i still dreaming of the new LS 500 2018 ans UP.
Repiars are less rhan the BMWs and Benz. Beside, rhe other pleases like Audi, Volkswagen seems to be out to make extract buck especially if u dont know much qbout cars. I when there wiht my 2005 Tuareg qn to change the light bulb with the headline assembly key damaged, they asking parts ans labour plus taxes about $700. Saying the whole bucket need change, i got a family friend ans spend $100 to buy two Bulbs via Amazon and replace is for free or $100 cost of original bulbs saving $600 $ for q 15min job.

Now you know what qm talking about. Please do ur own diagnostic before heading out to these dealership with the exception of Lexus of Maplewood.

Go see..Know u know why am keeping my old 2006 LS 400 with over 200k miles and driving the LS 430 that is 236k miles ansnqbout 19nyrs old, but drives like a champ especially going up hell in cruise control ans white too.. what a beautiful. Wouldn't sale it even if i buy q newwr car in thr future. Did i say i got the Volkswagen Tuareg, Q7, LS 400 and 430? I love buying used wihr qll carfax records ans one owners. That's thr best especially if records shower being maintained qt the dealership inclusing changing simple things like wipernor gas cap...Know you know my secrets, hence give me a toms up or reshare tbis note.
