We went there for a wedding. Knowing the hotel from a previous stay I can recommend it. It is confortable and quiet. The local shops and restaurants are at a short walk.

Was at a wedding in November and thought the hotel was magical.
When I went for lunch today it was a different place.
Very slow service
Not a good selection of bar food (didn't want dinnear)
No toasted sandwiches .
No coleslaw?????
Brought cheese ciabatta instead of chicken.
Group of women at next table were starving thought they had been forgotten service was so slow.
It was mid term so maybe cut them some slack.
Won't be going back in a hurry.

Booked in for our anniversary and had a lovely stay. Upgraded to a room with a spectacular view. Would definitely stay again. Felt very safe and all meals could be delivered to the room for a small fee. Worth it to feel safe

I know the Lakeside well. Not a great experience tonight. I had the supreme chicken. Meal was over cooked (chicken tough and couldn't cut the skin of roast potatoes!!) veg was mainly chopped up courgette with a load of stuffing, gravy it seems was out of a tin. We did eat late - 7pm? but this is a hotel with hotel prices...should have went to Flanagans.

Have come here 2-3 times for food in the bar in the last few months. The food has been just delicious. Really high standard for all the dishes I've ordered

The lakeside exceeds all expectations. I knew our wedding day would be amazing but it was 100 times better than i could ever imagine. The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much effort. The food was exceptional and the rooms were beautiful. I cant recommend this hotel enough for a wedding or even an over night stay.

Waterfront area rooms are excellent, having a balcony area is worth paying extra. The staff are very professional and there are a good amount of sanitisation points in the hotel. The restaurant service was a bit all over the place, 3 servers waiting on 4 tables and still found it hard to get someone's attention when required.
Superb location will stunning views and a short walk to Ballina or Kilaloe.

Difficult place to be during lockdown. No service in bar even if you are staying at hotel. Very good on disinfecting everything. We paid 270 euro dinner bed and breakfast which wasn't cheap.
Food was pedestrian. Room was ok, view of Lough Derg was lovely. It is difficult for Hoteliers at present with the new hygiene and social distancing regs. All in all a poor hotel experience.

We had an excellent experience here 2 weeks ago. The staff were very accommodating when we asked for outdoor seating, very quick with service and super friendly. Excellent menu and food! Thank you !

My husband and I went for a drive this afternoon, we live in Limerick, and we stopped at the Lakeside Hotel. After having a drink and watching the beautiful food coming out we decided to eat and wasn't disappointed, the food and service was excellent.

Lovely place right on Lough Derg (The Red Lake). The last lake on the River Shannon - the longest river in the British Isles is absolutely beatyiful. The drop in water height between this lake and the tidal part of the Shannon River at Limerick City allowed the Irish Government to build a very unique Hydro Station at Partney. It is well worth a visit (tour) of the generating station (daily) as it was unusual for its day. The Lakeside Hotel is well regarded as a wedding venue and there is a fine pool, gym and waterside facilities at the hotel.

Mixed review of this hotel. We had booked a superior room to get the view but there was some mix up and we ended up with a normal room without the view. That was a bad start. Also there was a door outside our room that kept banging all day. We mentioned this at reception but nothing changed. On a more positive note the leisure centre and the location are nice. Overall though i wouldnt be rushing back

Attended a wedding here. Location is spectacular. The food was really good. Service was good too. The only down side was the heat in the room!! It was a really really hot day and with hot food and a room full of people it really needed a/c on. People were opening windows but there was no breeze which made for an uncomfortable few hours until the sun went down. Would still go back as I loved the location, service and food.

I was invited for a meal here a meal here with my girlfriend. I think we were booked into the bar and to be honest, I will never come here again. The staff were friendly but the food was awful.

Both my girlfriend and I are vegetarians and we looked at the menu previously and thought it sounded nice so we both got the Mediterranean pasta dish. Other party members who age meat did enjoy theirs but if you're a vegetarian and are deciding on coming here, I would strongly advise against it. The dish was so underwhelming.

The dish had severely overcooked pasta, as it, it was breaking apart, almost dissolving in the bowls. We had to order extra cheese as it literally tasted like nothing, not even seasoning.

Very displeased and couldn't even finish the meal. Couldn't wait to get up and leave

jim and myself stayed in the lakeside hotel last weekend . You cannot ask for better from reception staff to bar staff ,restaurant staff. Will be recommending Lakeside hotel and we will be back. Thank you all

Set in a scenic position beside the Shannon on Lough Derg. Good food varied menu friendly staff. Beautiful position for wedding receptions. Also swimming pool and leisure centre. New bedrooms newly built now opened beside the river. Lovely place for a few days break.

went to a concert on Tuesday night , went to bar for food at 6oc order taken at 6.15 looking forward to our nice meal after very long drive waited over an hour and half and still never came after several times the staff were asked where was our order , we got pot of tea and no milk had to leave and go to our concert starving , so disgusted , never go there again ,

Family trip ..we had a ball..beautiful room, lovely atmosphere and great staff.
Lovely gym and pool

Great hotel for lunch or dinner, being local I use the gym and the pool is fantastic for the small lad. Great events for kids at Christmas

Only niggle was the last room we used had a noisy aircon.unit outside the window, but fab rooms, comfy beds and great facilities.

Excellent hotel. Fantastic location for a break or a wedding. Gardens are fabulous & views are stunning. Food is always delicious and plenty of it so you won't be hungry afterwards.

We attended a wedding in Lakeside Hotel over the weekend and were blown away by how beautiful the Hotel and the whole area is. The staff were so cheerful and friendly, smiles all round. The food all through our stay was beautifully served and tasted fab. We will be booking for an away break soon and would recommend it totally. Loved it.!!!

Love this hotel. I got married here in 2014 magical spot with lovely staff & gorgeous food.

It is very nice it was also very busy so we had too wait for coffee and hot chocolate. We did not mind the scenery was peaceful

This is my go to relaxation break staff r super food in my opinion if 5star and the chef even designed a healthy and varied kids menu the pool is great views r superb and rooms are so comfie been on girls break and family and never let down

Super hotel to take a couple of nights rest. Everything you need is walking distance and the hotel itself has a lot to offer for young and old.
