I have to say that after my experience here there will be a good chance I will never buy another vehicle nor send anyone here either after the experience that I have had even the free oil changes that came with the car seem like a bad idea the only person that I expect to hear from is the manager of both service and sales managers this was absolutely unacceptable

I recently ran over some debris on the highway and put a 6" gash on the sidewall of my front tire. When I took it in to our local dealer (Butler Chevrolet) I fully expected them to tell me I had to purchase a set of 4 tires (It is a 4 wheeler and you need to change them all at the same time). My service advisor Kim who was very pleasant and helpful sent it out to her tire technician who returned shortly and said that the inside was not damaged and it was safe to drive. They could have EASILY told me I had to replace the tires and I would have been totally fine with that for safety reasons. Their honesty will keep me coming back. The waiting area with coffee and donuts made the short wait comfortable. The owner came into the waiting room and asked everyone if there were any issues he could help with. I took my car in because it was driving funny and the check engine light was on. Everyone was extremely nice and knowledgeable. My car had a bunch of things going on and Jim Butler in Fenton had it done and back to me in 24 hours. I was extremely happy to find out I had a GM warranty still in force for 7 more days too that covered almost the entire bill. I'm very happy and will certainly use them again.
I set up a drop off for my suv to get the rims fixed on an extended protection plan, when I called in the associate stated I may have a rental fee and that she wasn't sure, that the service advisor would let me know. I brought the suv and another vehicle up in case the car was not covered they told me it would be when I was handed off to the service advisors. I get a call an hour later stating that I would be charged $40 after asking twice if I was covered under my protection plan for the loaner which the loaner associates said I was covered. I went back the next day to get my suv after they fixed my curb rash rims which now look worse due to the paint not matching when they fixed them. There are big dark spots on the rim where they only touched it up versus repainting the whole rim. Associate argued with me about what was said the day before and was very unprofessional, she put words in my mouth stating I would pay the fee which I never did say that, the service manager waived the fee once realizing the misunderstanding and it got worse form there. The same associate (short girl with black hair looks in her mid 20s) that was going on a rant with the loaner associates in front me handed me the keys and told me my car was out front. Me and my 8 month pregnant fiance spent 5 minutes on the lot in 40 degree weather looking for our car, no one looked it over with us to see if it was fixed properly and we were happy with the work. My family has bought 3 cars in the past 3 years from jim butler totaling over $80,000 but they lost our business for good. We were going to get a new trail boss $45,000 with the suv they fixed as a trade in this month. They also overcharged me $15 when I utilized my $100 credit on some accessories and the cashier stated she would get me a check mailed because I was running late to work, that was years ago and my time was more important than the money. I never seen that money. The service department is god awful when you have issues and they need to find out if loaners are covered are not before the customer leaves the dealership with a potential out of pocket expense. Be sure if you get any service work done there or purchase anything from (accessories prices are cheaper online then at dealership) to make sure they do not over charge you and ask for things in writing since they want to put words in customer's mouths.

Bill (Timmons I believe) was fantastic and got me taken care of even though they were VERY busy. The process is flawless, and everyone super nice. I will be back.

I called Butler on Wednesday (5 business days before the Chevy Employee Incentive offer ended) looking for a Traverse. John called me that afternoon to get all my wants in a Traverse since they did not have one on their lot. He went above and beyond to look in GM inventory to find me the Traverse I wanted and to secure the current incentives. By that evening he called me with two options. Let s just say John was patient with me being indecisive with a color option (even gave his opinions to help) for probably 24 hours. After deciding John stayed in contact with me throughout the entire sale process while the car was in transit, providing recommended times to avoid crowds to complete paperwork, to making sure he got all the options I wanted. I came in on a Monday and the car was still in transit but he assured me the car would be there by 1/2. It was, however I wanted black wheels powder coated. He was able to get that setup and completed the next day so I didn t have to take a loaner home with me. He also was able to order black Chevy bow ties and get them installed prior to pickup. Bottom line John was amazing to work with, friendly, persistent on making sure I got everything I wanted in the vehicle. He went through a quick learn of the vehicle before I drove it off the lot which made me more comfortable with all the capabilities of the vehicle. One comment I really appreciated was right before I left he made sure that I knew if I had any questions about anything to text, call or Facebook message him. I truly appreciated that because it meant his service didn t end once I left. Thank you so much John for finding the Traverse I wanted for so long. You made the image come to reality!. He found it within the GM Trade Inventory. I was looking for Satin Steel, black bow ties, black wheels (powder coated), jet black interior, 1LT. He was able to find the color and trim package within 3 hour. Then he has solutions to the other options and was able to get all the work done prior to taking delivery.. It was quick and fast! John recommended coming in on Monday vs last Saturday of the month. When I walked in he was aware I was en route to the dealership. So my wait for finance was very minimal. Tara was quick, able to match the interest through my credit union..

The Chevy Colorado has been catching my eye for a while. My car license was about to expire, and it was definitely going to fail inspection. Besides putting more money into this "clunker" my only option was to go ahead and purchase (with financing) the vehicle that I really wanted. I have to say as a truck buyer, I was a bit nervous walking in there, but the people made everything easy, and the whole experience of this major purchase go very smoothly. I had an excellent experience at Jim Butler! I just needed an oil change, but they also top off all fluids, do a tire rotation, and fill up your tires. My only complaint is that my mom has been going to Jim Butler for years and every time she gets an oil change, they give her a few coupons for free car washes and I didn't get any! Other than that, great experience!

Arrived for my appointment early and the service guy processed my vehicle as soon as I got there. I received shuttle service to a nearby restaurant, which also picked me up after the meal and soon after , my Trax was ready.
Horrible experience for the 3rd time, service advisor needs to be clear on what they are selling.......I guess i should be more clear fully aware that I have to pay for service I need.How it was presented by the advisor it was x amount of dollars for the service , not two separate services. Got a bed cover paid over $700, the next day went to get it installed it took them 3 hours for a job that required no tools. When I took this cover off the first time and had to put it back on it took me less than five minutes. This morning I took it for an oil change and they tell me it has a recall. I asked how long will it take to get it serviced they told me about an hour. They gave me a rental car and sent me on my way. After 6 hours I called back two times to find out how much longer because I need my truck they can't give me an answer because the lady that did paper work is on lunch for an hour and I don't know when they will be done with my truck and the person that answered the phone doesn't know anything... this is not acceptable for service to take this long for an oil change and recall that was supposed to take 1 hour.. never coming here again what a joke!!
Mike Gray made the impossible possible. We thought there was no way to get approval but with Mike s direction, we left that day with a car, a brand new car! He eased our concerns and I have already referred other people to him! We ll be in the market for a second car and we will definitely be in touch with Mike.. Mike walked us through all the features and compared them to some other options we were considering. He also helped us set up our on-star and so many other things. I didn t know there were so many extras we could get. I am very pleased with our purchase! She explained exactly how they were going to fix it. She even gave me a call to give me an update on how my car was coming along. Amanda was flawless in getting me a rental and on the road quickly. She was so nice to deal with. The car was fixed extremely fast and is working perfectly. Ok, so the first time I did business at butler they were awesome. They helped me with mechanical issues I had with my 2007 Silverado. I could not have asked for anything more. That is why we decided this was the only place we were going to shop for a new truck. I talked to a very helpful girl, Megan. She said she would fix me up with a salesman. I had talked extensively with her before coming in. I asked her if what I wanted was feasible. I expected to get so much for my trade in and wanted to keep my payment at a certain amount. She reassured me that this was totally possible. We then drove up and was introduced to Chris, a young kid. That was the shortest conversation I have ever had with a salesman! Maybe I should have texted him! Basically we saw a truck we liked he said it was not possible for the amount given. Then I asked how much he was going to give us for our truck, not once, not twice.. but three times. He acted like he wasn't going to waste his time. We finally said " we will just have to go to another dealership that will work to get us in a truck." He replied with "ok" and turned and went back in the building!! Wow!! We Went to Johnny londoff and was awesome! Still shopping around currently , but hats off to Johnny Londoff. They just didn't have quite what we were looking for.

This place is an absolute joke and has Been since I mad the mistake of buying my truck here 4 years ago ... since then it has been one inconvenience and negligent visit after the next ... began late 2013 after being called at work and called a liar by a service representative for not paying an outstanding bill (when you are never allowed to retreave your keys until you are paid in full for visit) shortly after relilizeing there typo they offered to detail my truck ... cool one inconvenience whatever right there a chevy dealership I figure they are squared away in the shop .. WRONG I once needed my cruise control switch replaced it was and broke again within the next oil change ..I paid a few Thousand dollars for regular service maintenance done spark plugs , transmission flush etc .. when I got my truck it was pulling 5000RPM in park ....I took it back up there watched the entire garage act like a bunch of clowns that didn't know what they were doing after about 30 minutes they came back gave me some oh forgot to reset sensor inossiant answer as if they just forgot to screw gas cap on ... after the negligence I experienced on that job I decided I will only go back for oil change and tire rotation and occasional break change and the infamous "multipoint inspection" my truck had had muffler completely separated rusted through disconnected from tailpipe for about a year 3 visits they never mentioned a word to me not to mention the last visit have appointment made I pull my truck in sit down to wait watch them pull my truck through shop park it on lot at that point I decide I will get picked up and wait to hear and explanation 6 hours go by and I receive a call my truck is ready for pick up ... never once called by service advisor to discuss and approve work done they tell me oil has Ben changed and my breaks still had 3 mil on them so they left them even though I specifically wanted them changed because they were busy they again rushed my truck through COMPLETELY NEGLECTING ANY KIND OF INSPECTION not to mention going back to when I bought truck all of the lovely hail damage I discovered it had .. the white color hid them unless you were under certain light I remember inspecting vehicle and how strange the sales man was acting when I was inspecting the front end they completely denied and wanted nothing to do with this claim when I brought to there attention it hadn't even rained in the time that transpired from when I walked off with keys BEWARE OF THIS PLACE this is the most unprofessional establishment in the St. Louis county area ... do not go here ! I would not take my truck back up too there shop if my life depended on it they will neglect they obligations and get over on you any and every way possible ! Choose Weber or Jim ternary ... I could keep going on and on ... the time I needed my oil changed for a business trip the next day stressed multiple times I NEED THIS DONE TODAY SIR .. can't get it done offer me a loaner car they know they messed up don't have any trucks I can't haul my tools in a standard car wound up settleing inconvenienced yet again .. spending my hard earned money at your dealership was a mistake and lesson learned the hard way ... get your vehicle worked on and just try to call and talk to your adviser you will get the run around all day long ... I find all these 5 star reviews very suspicious when every time I'm just casually in waiting room everyone is as irate as me everyone I kno who has gone here wishes they didn't .... go look at the 100,000 corvettes sitting out front every single one had paint damage on the corners of the hood I discovered just waiting to sell you one and pray you don't notice till your 5,000 miles down road ... the time I walked out with my transmission lines leaking wasn't made aware by anyone at dealership went to home to discover myself !!! You have failed to EVER provide me with quality service I pay dealership price for ..
I m just use to other dealerships I ve been to will refill my windshield washer fluid along with my oil change, even other oil change places do and I guess you guys don t or just chose not to. I m also use to places vacuuming out my car and it just seems this place does minimal work they can.

If you're looking to purchase a car, they're fantastic and will treat you like royalty. However, once you drive off their lot they do not care about you. The service department takes forever and no one will listen to you or acknowledge your presence unless you're ready to look at another new car. They are the worst for customer service. We have purchased 4 vehicles from them and will not be returning.
I bought a brand new Cruze LT back in 2011, I was happy with the purchase. They listen to my needs, price, fuel economy and affordability. Especially in the recession.However could have gotten more for my trade in. However I am pleased to say I have a decent vehicle. Calls could be handled differently. Service department should be just a bit quicker. Overall satisfied I will be coming back. Next vehicle is the new Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ

They always take care of their customers as if they are regulars. If they don't have the part you need that day, they go out of their way to have it for you within a day or two. On top of that, their prices beat most and I have never had a single issue with receiving a non-compatable part.

I had a 2007 Dodge ram (mistake), and was having an issue with my passenger side front axle. I took it to 4 different mechanics including a Dodge dealership and no one could figure out what was broke!! Not knowing if the Butler team would service a Dodge they were my last option. I dropped the truck off and within 2-4 hrs after my service representative called me. The mechanic found the problem and all they needed was my approval to solve it!!!

Unfortunately I had to bring my vehicle back in for check engine light, the same day I picked it up from service for check engine light :/ While I was upset... Cars are cars. They break. There is no avoiding it. BUT with the excellent customer service that I received, honestly it was hard for me to have anything but a smile on my face... Back to this wonderful woman with the service department, cookie ensured that they would take great care of me & my vehicle, she sincerely apologized for the inconvenience of having to return, & had us ready to leave with a loaner vehicle in under an hour.
