If I could give less then 1 star I would! Jim Butlers service department is the biggest joke ever! Little to NO customer service skills! They ve had our vehicle over a month with no movement. They put the blame on everyone else. I highly don t recommend taking your vehicle here for service they slap a bandaid on it and don t save the service notes.
The financing was easy and they stayed within the payment range I gave them. The sales department really listens to what you are looking for and need and does what they can to get you in the right vehicle for your family.
The Only place I go to buy my vehicle. I purchased 3 vehicles already. My wait is never long here. Love this place. I pass all dealerships to come here.
There are many reasons why I give Jim Butler five stars. Just to name a few, I initially received excellent service when I purchased my new car. Thereafter, the service I received each and every single time in the service center has been five star service. The staff takes their time to explain everything to you in Layman's terms. They take pride in ensuring you are kept up-to-date when if you are waiting for your car to be serviced, and they are extremely pleasant to work with. The staff goes above and beyond each time I go on there and no matter who I deal with, I receive the same service. I highly recommend!

Good car service. The car lot for service is very small; it was difficult to find my car and when I did, another vehicle awaiting service partially blocked my vehicle.
There is no way it takes 2 hours for an oil change but it did people have stuff to do and sitting for 2 hours is not one of them

Great price and no nonsense purchase. I have worked at dealerships most of my life and this it the first purchase I have made since not working at or for a dealership. I know the good the bad and the ugly. I have seen it. This experience was so smooth it is unreal. Started off looking on line and finding what I wanted to look at online. A few text messages later to Jen Moyer and telling her what I was looking for she went to work to see if the truck was still available. They have a massive inventory and she wanted to make sure it was still available. They found the truck got it cleaned up and ready for me to look at. They were upfront and told me it had 5000 plus miles on it because it was a demo and asked if I was OK with that. NO surprises!!! Great job! Arrived at dealer with truck sitting out front clean and looking awesome. Saw a salesman running around taking care of a customer. As we were walking up to the truck someone starts the truck with the remote. OK, they know I am here. Same salesman, John Zensen, that was just running around comes and introduces himself to me and my wife. To make this short. Very knowledgeable about the truck. Knows his stuff, no BS. Straight forward answers. We test drive it and I ask to test drive a different one and he finds what I ask for and we drive it. Decided on first truck. Price was laid out, I knew it was a great deal. I always have to think about it though. He let me drive it home that night. Checked with a few people at dealers that I still have connections with and they said that is a deal you better purchase. Went back the next morning and had an awesome experience with the finance guy. No gimmicks, straight forward, once again no BS. Ready to leave with the truck and a hiccup. They could not find the second key. Salesman says he wants to find it and to give him some time to find it or he will make a new set if necessary. I am good with that. A few days later a text message from John, found the keys. Awesome once again. I am a talker and talking to all of these people as my deal was going down they all were very happy to work for this company. They shared past experiences with previous dealers they worked for and how much better this dealership is to work for. That is hard to find at dealerships. Happy employees! Happy to be working for the man that owns the dealership. That shows through how they treated me. If you have happy employees they will make their customers happy. Great, Awesome experience. I will recommend your dealership to my friends.
OIL CHANGE-TIRE ROTATION-INSTALLED BUG DEFLECTOR. MY TIRES WERE NOT ROTATED.
Went for oil change & tire rotation. First told I needed to spend approx $500 in maintenance items. Next got told my battery needed to be replaced bc they had to jump start my car 2x. I started my car 6x after I left the dealership just to see if I had any issues. My car started up each time with no problem. They wanted to charge me $170 for a battery I can purchase for $94. Then they didn't reset the tire monitor system and told me i had to bring it back up to them to fix bc they use a special tool to reset the tire monitor. Wrong! I looked it up on YouTube and it's a simple set of instructions. No "special tool". This dealership is frustrating and full of b.s.

They process a lot of traffic through the dealership so it seems the wait
is extended over what a smaller shop may provide. The price seems fair and I like that the service personnel are GM trained. So far now I will continue using their shop.

I have Purchased a Silverado and Traverse in the past two years. Very nice facility, friendly personnel, competitive prices, however, ran extremely poorly. Closing on a vehicle is extremely time consuming. Service department is deplorable and consumes most of your day. They never honor appointment times so don t bother making one. Basic services like oil changes take 3 hours. The service area is inefficient and needs to be completely overhauled. This frustration will likely result in my family going elsewhere for our automobiles.
Ask for Matt Vallee. Definitely went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with my purchase. He even got my kids some snacks at the vending machine when they got restless.

They just ripped me off for over $2000 on repairs top my 2017 Duramax! Truck has stranded me on highway 3 times since 9/18/19 of this year with 74472 miles. Towed to Trenary in Union first time with code P018B. Trenary said air was trapped in system. Cleared codes and reinstalled old fuel filter and returned truck to me no charge on 10/4/19( I did pay $281 for a bad w/s washer pump). Second breakdown occurs on 10/26/19 at 75882 miles. This time towed to Butler Chevy. They have same code P018B. I'm told my low pressure fuel pump in the tank is bad and is excluded under Chevys powertrain warranty. I was told it would be around $1150 to repair. I gave them the ok. It took them until 11/26/19 to fix my truck. Almost a month. They want me to pay $480 for a rental car I had for 2 weeks plus the repair for $1230. I did. I then post on social media and the owner of Jim Butler decides to refund the rental car to save a little face.... Finally, good on them. Unfortunately the truck breaks down again the exact same way it had the other 2 times on 12/14/19 at 76805 miles. Towed back to Butler. Guess what? Same code P018B. The service advisor tells me it's the module and he's going to replace it. Calls me back next day and asks me to come in and see something. I get there and he shows me debris in my fuel tank and proceeds to tell me that I have to pay for this because someone has put this debris in my tank if it wasn't me. I ask him if it's more feasible that the mechanic accidentally got debris in my tank during the time he had my tank out for repairs and completely open sitting on their shop floor for weeks waiting on my pump? He says "I know that didn't happen". So, in the end I've paid over $2000 for a 2 year old truck still under powertrain warranty. Bill the service manager is a rude, unhelpful, lazy, and most of all dishonest. The one time he calls me back during month plus they had my truck he tells me to pay for the repair or I can come get my truck as it sits and he wants his loaner back today. Then once confronted he's even worse in person. Bottom line is from the owner, to management, and on down Jim Butler Chevy is joke!
My mechanic (son) ordered a specific part for my 2007 Saturn Aura and paid EXTRA for over night. It was a simple part we were crystal clear on what I needed. They managed to give me the COMPLETELY WRONG part!!!!!! Now were behind on repair of my car thanks to their ignorance. I hope that they are at least willing (when I go BACK in tomorrow) to make things right. I dont expect it tho. CAREFUL if you really need an item, I would look around and find a company that knows what they are doing!!!
Jennifer was very easy to work with. Told her what I wanted & other than my color choice, she nailed it. Got everything done in one day & drove my 'new to me' car home that afternoon! Would highly recommend Jim Butler. Just tell them I referred you!
Do not buy a 2017 Chevy Cruise!!!!! My vehicle had 3 miles when purchased and within the first few months of driving it I had coolant fumes leaking through the vents into the cabin of the vehicle. My daughter and I had been breathing it in!!!! I took it to the dealership and they couldn't find a leak, then I took it back a second time and they said it was the water pump, then two weeks after the water pump was replaced a piston broke which required major engine repairs. Thank God I bought the extended warranty otherwise these repairs would not have been covered. Do not buy this car it is a death trap!!!!! They also blocked my vehicle in when I used the after hour pick up service for an oil change
( see the below picture). Now because of all these major issues with the car I went to the service team to discuss a trade or a buy back option and no one will help me. They gave me the number to GM who is also not returning my calls. Oh, and one more thing... Who in the world thought it was a good idea to make a Chevy Cruise that DOES NOT have cruise control!!! (sigh)
I called around 10:30am interested in a few cars to test drive later in the day. All 2012's. Sadly one had just been sold but I came in around 6:00pm and drove both cars right away. Both were in very good shape but I leaned more towards the 2012 Honda Accord EX-L.
I was in there until maybe 8:30pm and had the car!
They worked very fast and got me what I wanted and still call me to make sure everything is ok with the car and that I'm happy!

I had an excellent experience purchasing a new car at Jim Bulter Chevy in Fenton. I did not feel pressured at any time. Ethan in Sales and Stacy in Finance were both knowledgeable, kind and respectful. It was a pleasure working with them.
I have been in Jim Butler service dept. 4 times. The first time they did not put the right amount of oil in and the low oil message came on my dashboard 5 minutes after I left the service dept. The next 2 times were fine . The last time it was over 2 hours for an oil change. I finally went to the service desk and asked about it. Apparently it had been done for some time but the paperwork never made it to the service desk.
Ardi was great. He made us feel welcome and comfortable. Our experience with him was great. 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up!

Called loking to talk to someone about a commercial van purchase. After being put on hold 4 times, I'll just call someone else who wants so sell vehicles.
My husband and I went in to Jim Butler last weekend to see about purchasing a used car, not really expecting a favorable outcome. We told Ardi what we were looking for as far as price, size, and monthly payments. I was impressed with how friendly Ardi was. He respected our wishes, did not try to sell us a more expensive car, and helped us find the perfect jeep patriot that was in budget and would fit our family size.
We discussed needing a second vehicle soon, and he was super helpful with that as well. He and Chris in the finance department managed to get us into two vehicles that were perfect for our needs, while working with our credit challenges. I never felt judged or like I was wasting my time.
I expected to be there all evening but the guys made it pretty fast and easy. I was pleasantly surprised at the end of our time there to be driving off the lot in not one, but two vehicles.

I recently bought a black v6 Camaro from Jim Butler Chevrolet. I was impressed already since they actually had the car that I was looking for when I traveled to 5 dealerships before hand who couldn't provide what I wanted. The salesman Danny Carr was extremely nice and worked with me to close the deal on the car that I wanted.
However the dealership has been incredibly difficult to work with to get the title for the car. I would love to get my car licensed and pay the sales tax but I have no idea where the title is. I spoke with Tara Lavine originally about the title and then later I spoke to the manager Mike about sending me the title. It's frustrating trying to get help when you aren't at the dealership.
Going to JIM Butler was a great choice. Every time I m there you meet people that are ready too serve you. John Z is very professional at his job, goes the extra mile too get the job done. Big Thanks !!
I got a great deal on a new truck. Chris Saettele was my salesperson, and he was awesome. I lucked out and randomly got the sales manager, Tim, on the phone, and he really went above and beyond to find me what I was looking for and get me in touch with Chris to make it happen. Great price, very friendly and well informed staff, and the service was impeccable.
Ardi is our salesperson and he s very down to earth and knows everything you need to know, great recommendations but not pushy either, everyone there greeted us and asked if we had been helped, felt more like talking to friends rather than customer reps... even gave us a cheaper price than a Chevy dealership that was closer to our home. just an overall amazing experience. Ardi even went out of his way to get the exact vehicle and color I want that was not at their location. Definitely recommend over anyone else!!
I'll spare you ALL the details...we had a initial disagreement about cost and trade in value. Scott Johnson did everything he could to get the deal done, and then it was in the finance dept's hands. In the end, after a "battle royal" (that happened after an accumulated FOUR hours) we got a great deal on the new car. It was obvious that they went out of their "comfort zone" to make this deal happen. I can appreciate that. That will make me a repeat customer next time around. I can't buy a car unless I feel like I got a good deal. I got a GREAT DEAL. Thanks to Scott, and Chris.

I sent an express of interest, via email.
I was acknowledged, the following day, and 10 minutes later I received the necessary documents.
All within a 24-hour period I got the vehicle that I wanted.
Upon delivery, the courtesy was Above and Beyond my expectations.
Was told that I needed a AC compressor and the part was on back order because I have a new car. The guy to me when I checked out to pay for my diagnostic fee that if I bought the part online and bring it in they would put the part on for me. Long story short I got the part made the appointment and they told me they don't put parts on that customers bring to us. Waste of time and money and I will never get my car serviced there.

The original plan on buying a new truck did not work out. Brett took his time to find me a truck that fit budget. At the end of the deal I have a truck that I'm very pleased with. The truck was not quite ready it was still in the shop being look getting it 172 point inspection he was able to get it push threw and get the truck detailed and ready for me the next. I was very please with customer service on all levels Brian Steele in the financial office was a big help he went above and beyond to get me a price that work for me.
I believe my transmission was under warranty and GMC was saying it wasn't I believe it was ended up having to turn my car back in cuz I can't afford to have it fixed while going through bankruptcy

This is the second vehicle with Butler and we've had great experiences.
Horrible Customer Service!!! If zero stars were possible, they would have earned it. Told me they would call me right back, and had me waiting for nearly two hours. The finance guy was rude and acted like he was doing me a favor just by talking to me. The secretary was smug and horrible, not friendly at all.
We are from out of state and were here for a doctors appointment at Barnes Jewish Hospital. We had a tire that was loosing air. We came in Friday evening around 5:45. Scott was my "maintenance advisor" . They got right on it to look at at it. About an hour later he came in and asked " Is there a reason why you have the doughnut on?". I told him that there was a leak on the tire and it was flat so I put the spare on. He then told me they could not find a leak and it was holding air. I told him that we had taken it to Walmart and they found the leak on the outer sidewall. He said they would keep looking. An hour later he said they could not find anything. I told him that if it was flat in the morning I would be back. So we left and came back to our hotel. I got up early Saturday morning to check and sure enough it was flat and i was there at 7:30 that morning. Again they got right back on it. 45 minutes later Scott came back and told me they found leak and I would need a new tire. He showed me the hole. When I told him I wanted to talk to a manager he got really he got really defensive saying it was really hard to find. He told me it would be $189.00 for the tire. I was already upset that I had to come back and now he wanted me to pay for a new tire. I had no choice so I told him to do it. They get done now its $204.00. Oh there is a $20 for mount and balance. I was not happy at all with the whole thing. The one bright light out of whole experience was the cashier girl Lindy. She was very kind and gave my two young children teddy bears. I hope I or anyone else does not have this kind of experience again.
