Went in on a Saturday ready to take home something new ASAP. The salesman was personable at first but then pretty much rushed us out towards the end. He took a look at my trade-in and I went on to test drive a couple of cars. When it came down to talk about price and what my trade in was worth, he said there were 6 people ahead of me and that he would call me in a few hours. End of the day, nothing. The following week, nothing. Not sure if my trade in wasn t wanted or what the deal was but I will take my business elsewhere.

October 1, I talked to a salesman at the dealership about selling them an unneeded car. We worked out a price, and agreed to the sale. The car had a lien on it. I was told that it would take up to ten days for them to pay off the lien, and I would receive a check for the balance due promptly after that. On October 10, I went by the lot and was told that the lien hadn't been paid yet, so the funds owed to me were not available yet. The lien was paid off on October 13, yet here we are on October 28th and they have not paid the funds due me. Just called, got the run around, and waiting for "someone" to return call. This is no way to do business.

It took me three hours on Monday July 28 just to make a service appointment as I received the post card that my part was in for the recall on the ignition. I called and they kept putting me on hold. One lady answered and I tried to tell her I was scheduling a service appointment and that my parts were there for the recall. She put me on hold then transferred me to someones voice mail. My husband received the call and the woman said something about an appointment on Thursday July 31. My husband was highly upset because he had no clue what was going on and had a dr appointment on Thursday as he recently had back surgery. He called me I called Jim Butler back the woman wanted to put me on hold again and is told her NO!! I just need to make an appointment and further more she had called the wrong phone number AFTER the fact I gave them the correct phone number to begin with. My appointment was FINALLY scheduled for today August 1. I took the car in, the man greeted me asked me my name and what I was there for. I told him he said have a seat in the waiting room and the service advisor will be with you. I was planning on dropping the car off and my husband was there to pick me up. After 45 minutes of sitting in the waiting room I was getting annoyed. We then went out to the service area where they told me they were still working on the car. I said well I had a question for the service advisor about the keys AND I WAS NOT GOING TO WAIT ON THE CAR I WAS DROPPING IT OFF THATS WHY MY HUSBAND FOLLOWED ME UP HERE!!!! So after it was finally finished we WERE going to try to see about financing a new or used car and trading our Cobalt in. After standing in the showroom for about 10 minutes no sales men came around , however there were 2 or 3 just standing around talking about their PRETTY HAWAIIAN SHIRTS!!!! We left. Needless to say I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM JIM BUTLER!!!! The service department is a joke to try to get in!!

First new car we purchased in some time so we wanted to do some shopping around. He stayed in touch but was not the least bit pushy. He was Great taking extra time after the sale to show two old techolgy challenged people how all the bells and whistles worked. In this day of internet sales so many places literally acted like we should already have the car picked out online and all they had time for was for us to sign the dotted line. It was refreshing to deal with a person that didn't mind answering our questions and willing to show us as many cars as needed and even asked us to call if we had any other questions on anything. This kind of wait time has happened to me on several occasions. Every once in a while (not often) I'm in and out within an hour for the same service. We spent over 64,000 yesterday on a new truck and when my husband got home we were looking the truck over and realized that they didn t give us the truck that they told him we were getting. He originally went in there for a red truck and the salesman was telling him about a blue one that has nicer wheels for around 700.00 more so my husband went with the blue one. He went back to the dealership this morning and talked to his salesman who acknowledged that he told my husband this but the dealership said sorry they can t help him. The other blue truck that was on the lot is over 5,000.00 more than the one we got. we aren t concerned about not getting the other blue truck but we are upset we didn t get the wheels that we thought we were getting. the whole time my husband is talking to them today and telling them this, the salesman acknowledged but then went back on his word and said the wheels were upgraded on the truck we got but they aren t the wheels that were on the blue truck that was pointed out to my husband. It s not a misunderstanding, they knew that they were giving him a different blue truck. Yes, it s his fault for not noticing this before he left with the truck but he was there for about 5 or 6 hours with a 2 year old and it was late when they finished up. It might seem petty but if we are going to spend that much money we should get what we were told. I highly recommend that if you purchase from them you better make sure you are getting exactly what you were told before leaving

It was very sketch and discriminatory with me being a woman. I reached out to the General Manager and no response. My car is still unsafe. And they tried to stick me with a bill with no repairs being done and my car, I have had a terrible experience. Not to mention I bought my car from here and the loan they negotiated for me is so high decent customer service would have gone a long way and is the least I could ask.

Bought my 2015 Silverado from you all new about 3 years ago. Great ride! Ryan Zimmerman was my salesman. He was great, no pressure type. Answered all my questions before, during and after the sale. Wish I could say the same for David Watkins in the finance department. I realize this review comes several years after the purchase but after my experience initially 3 years ago and this week is the reason why I decided to write a review as I usually do not write them.
After I bought the truck I had a couple questions regarding the plates as they were ordered in error (not sure why that happened) and extended warranty I purchased. He initially responded to my first email about a refund for the plates but never followed to the multiple emails I sent regarding my extended warranty. At the time I remember feeling a little frustrated as though now that the sale was completed my questions were not as important. Pushed aside, as my warranty question was not addressed.
Fast forward three years, this week I needed to get the truck into a dealer as I think the tire sensors are not working correctly. The GM dealer I am taking my truck to requested my extended warranty information as they recommended I call the dealer where I purchased the truck. Wednesday I called, explaining I needed my extended warranty information. The receptionist asked who handled the financing for my truck. She said Dave is here but leave a voicemail if he does not answer as he may be away from the desk or with a customer. No answer, left a detailed message regarding the extended warranty information I needed to get the work done on my truck. Thursday rolls around. No call back. I called the dealer, again explained the situation to the receptionist. She said maybe service can help you. Talked to service. they were able to give me an answer within 30 seconds. It's now Friday afternoon with zero follow up from Dave which I think is disappointing and I doubt he contacted service to find out if they answered my extended warranty question. If Dave had taken 5 minutes to look up my warranty and call me back with the information I requested I would not have needed to call back again taking valuable time from myself and your employees (receptionist and service department staff). Everyone makes mistakes and forgets to make a phone call but after my experience 3 years ago and this week I feel it may be poor business practice on his end to not follow up appropriately as I feel I should have received a follow up call by the end of the week at the latest. I gave 4 stars for Ryan, purchase experience and support staff, if not for my experience with the financial department it would be 5. My dad is due for a new chevy truck here soon. He's always gotten his trucks at Weber but I may tell him to go to Butler for his next one. I'll probably just tell him to steer clear of Dave in finance. Thank you.

I had a 2014 Chevy Camaro 2lt Rs, I wanted to sell the car and buy a family car ( a sedan basically) and I saw so many different dealerships and they all gave me an unfair trade-in price for my car. A friend recommended Jim butler Chevrolet and I had to give them a shot, I went there and they examined my car for 30 minutes and acknowledged that my car is in perfect shape inside/out and they gave me the KBB value of my car. I wish I would've found a sedan that suited me in their inventory but I didn't so I ended up selling the car to them outright. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the salesman that I've dealt with, but I think it was Bob (he was very nice and very professional). I want to thank you all for your awesome customer service and when the time is right for me to sell my other 2012 camaro 2ss I will definitely visit you again.

Wedneday the 9th 2014, I had a scheduled appointment at 3:40pm in regards to a flat tire. The vehicle, along with the "new" tires was bought in December of 2013 (so that would be 4 months old). I sat in the waiting room watching customers travel in and out of the glass doors, easily being assisted with their specific issues. An hour and ten minutes later, a service woman appeared, only to explain, the wall of the front left tire had been penetrated and there was nothing they could do to repair the damage. She then insisted I ran over something in the road, slammed into a curb, or hit a pothole. Gathering my impatient dispositon, I calmly replied, "I havent done any of the above". She then went on to claim a new tire, service fee, and "diposal fee" would be approxiatemly $211.00 for one tire (one tire that is replacing a 4 month old tire, newly bought from the same dealership which is providing the service). Frustrated with the situation, I told her I would think things over and/or take it elsewhere. I sat for another twenty minutes for the service dept to bring the car back to the front so I could get back to work in a rather late fashion. While checking out, the service woman commented again, that I probably ran over something and/or maybe someone slashed my tire, only to rant on and on with the desk woman about how someone keyed her car several years ago.
1) It should never take an hour and a half for someone to be told "we can't help you," escpecially if Jim Butler is where I purchased the car. PS: if you are the top selling dealership in the area, you should be able to afford some extra service men, if that is what is causing the delay.
2) Regardless of the circumstance, never place blame on the customer, simply help find a solution.
3) When a frustrated customer calls the Service Manager to review information and to ask questions pertaining to his visit. RETURN his phone call within the next day or two.
I've worked in a number of customer service oriented facilities and have purchase two vehicles prior to the Equinox, and I've never seen the lack of customer service quality as shown by the Jim Bulter Service team. It becomes frustrating because I'm no longer paying for a great experience, amazing customer service, or even the valued excitement of saying "if you need a car, go to Jim Butler." No, instead I am paying for a clump of metal on rubber that simply gets me from point A to point B. I honestly regret choosing Jim Butler for my transportation needs, as I'm still waiting for that returned phone call. (I've left three messages now).

Very well priced. I could have probably gotten a better deal if I tried harder, they ended up giving me more for my trade in to get the overall price where I wanted. Might have been able to lower vehicle price too. But overall they beat their competitors by about $2,000 and were willing to make the deal that others would not. I knew the deal I wanted and at the 4th dealership, they gave me the deal I wanted. Would reccommend it.

I told them the wrong thing to change it was suppose to b the oil cleaner and i got the transmission changed the price they quoted from last visit was 100 dollars different i didnt have it they wrote off the transmission flush for me and the price was way lower than quoted thank you jim butler for all your help.

Jim Butler has made the decision to lose both my dad and I as customers, plus any future referrals over $99.
I had to bring my car into the shop there since it is covered under warranty to see if it was something that was covered. Unfortunately, the issue this time was not covered by warranty and Jim Butler wanted to charge me $515 to fix the issues, where other shops will charge half of that price. I declined to get my car fixed there given the huge difference in price. I'm 9 months pregnant and need to make sure to save money for my baby on the way.
That wasn't even the only frustration. I dropped my car off there last Friday and signed the check in paperwork. At that time I wasn't told about the $99 diagnosis fee. I was only told that as i was walking out to call my husband for a ride home after my car was already checked in. I asked him to waive the fee then since I brought in the diagnosis codes from Oreillys and Autozone. He said he'd try working with me. I was told I'd receive a call on Saturday about the diagnosis. I did not get a call on Saturday. I finally called the shop myself Saturday and had to leave a voicemail. The shop was closed Sunday. I called again Monday and was told the advisor would be in at 930 and give me a call. I didn't receive a call until about 1030. I was told they haven't even gotten to my car. I then received a call on Tuesday with the diagnosis. My husband missed 3 days of work due to it taking so long to diagnose my car. If I had been told they wouldn't be able to get to my car until Tuesday, I would have brought it in Tuesday. I requested the fee to be waived when I arrived to get my car and was told I would have to call back in the morning to speak to a manager. I called back this morning and was told they would not refund the fee.
So, Jim Butler can lose thousands of dollars because neither my dad nor myself will be coming back for new cars, or referring any future customers all over $99.

The worst service at a car dealership I have ever been to. If you like long waits on the phone then go ahead and deal with them!
Have called a total of 6 times to get my diagnosis report, was put on hold each time for over 10 mins.
Still waiting on my report over a week later, because they couldn't just give it to me when I picked up the car! Also waited a half an hour just to check the car in to begin with, and took an hour to pick up the car they said was ready (they were still putting it together when I arrived). They also didn't do the diagnosis the day they told me they would and I had to call them to even be told my car was done.

Horrible experience with the service department...made an appointment to drop my truck off at 3 45pm and did so. All I needed to see is how much it would cost to get the engine light off and waited until 7 pm and called up there was on hold for 30 minutes! Then she couldn't find me in there records. They dident even look at my truck yet and told me they would have to get to it in the morning because they close at 8. They were not going to even call and let me know I had no idea that they were going to wait until tomorrow I figured 4 hrs was enough to at least look at it I did make an appointment I was very disappointed wouldn't recommend this place. I will be taking my truck else where.
