Was hard to figure out this hotel! But it was very nice!
Excellent service at the bell hop. Self parking too far from main hotel.
Had drinks on the Mark Twain terrace. Very nice event space, overlooks the river. Drinks were overpriced though. $11 for a Heineken, for example.
Great location. Rooms were fine. Disappointing that after spending over $250 per night they still charge $6 to use the gym. Skip the restaurant.
Ok hotel ,but not for the price... Very loud , bathroom in disrepair, not a great location, and very long wait to check in and out ... Did like the ability to talk to staff via text tho
Great location between the French Quarter and the Garden District. Lots of restaurants within a block or two!
Not really happy with the hotel very dirty rooms. The staff tries but it is long overdue for a makeover
Best hotel to stay at. The outlet mall downstairs is amazing and the workers are very dependable.
Valet charges $50 a day & then locks your room key so you can't get in & have u sitting in the hallway for security that never comes ! HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND you would get better service literally ANYWHERE ELSE !!!! An hour has passed and me and my one year old are sitting in the hallway saying hi to everyone disappointed disrespected very pissed off
And all they had to do was unlock it from downstairs
Lines are horrific. This is my 2nd time here in a year and even as a gold honors member it's a tremendous wait. This place is clearly understaffed . The friendly staff and clean rooms saves it from 2 stars since the comfort of the beds won't.
Great rooms and amenities. Close to shopping and other gathering centers.
Lovely hotel. Extremely accommodating, great customer service. Pretty view of the river. Great location.
We stayed in here back in August. We were visiting New Orleans for the first time for an Avon event. Our stayed here was incredible they have a pool. The pool is always clean.the staff is really nice really friendly.
Great location. Glad the lobby bar was open late, great service. Digital Key allowed me to simply walk up to my room. Stay here, it's worth it.
Great hotel and location right on the Mississippi river in the heart of down town New Orleans.
Great location, nice rooms, fast and delicious room service, very friendly staff, and great gym!
The parking lots is a perfect place for making a mystery film.
Helpful staff that will go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. If you forget something in a room, they do their diligence to get it returned to you. Also, the amenities are great, with choice of 2 pools and nearby indoor shopping and mall food court. I only wish they didn't charge for fitness center, since it seemed like no one was using it anyway and I would have liked to hop on a treadmill.
This is a fabulous place to stay. Breathtaking views of the river.
Attended Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) 2018. Connected to the Riverwalk Mall which connects to the convention center.
Went there to meet up with friends. Was easy to locate them and we had Starbucks that was easy to locate.
The hotel was very nice & check-in staff was super nice as well. The hotel was close to everything you would like to see & do. The only complaint I have is YOU HAVE TO PAY TO USE THE GYM & YOU RE A GUESS STAYING IN THE HOTEL! This is absolutely ridiculous! Then the gym staff treats you like a bum on the street when you come in to use the gym do you have a room here, let me see your room key ! This made me very upset because I m one when looking for a hotel for vacation I make sure there is a gym & not having to pay to use it if you re a guess in the hotel. Then it s TWELVE DOLLARS A DAY TO USE THE GYM! !! They don t even give you a discount being a guess in the hotel! This is insane & I will not be staying here again on my next trip to New Orleans, I will pick a nice hotel that you can use the gym for free if you re a guess! Thanks but no thanks! I was very disappointed!
Weather was nice and not very crowded. Guides were helpful and courteous.
Enjoyed a quick stay here recently. Hotel is a great location - outlets, casino, river and downtown just a few steps away. Beds are comfy and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating!
The room had a great view of the Mississippi and everything was well maintained and clean.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Very nice rooms with views of the riverfront. Large comfortable beds and large rooms.
Beautiful hotel in the most convenient location for French quarters, aquarium, casino, and many tourist locations.
I reported the bud bugs on the last night of our stay after finding a bug in our bed. I was bitten all over my body. Luckily my infant son was not because he sleeps in a sleep sack and was protected. After I told management they called security, we went to the room where they inspected and found many bugs in the box springs. Security filed a report, took photos of my bites, and moved us to another room since all of our belongings were being sent to an oven to be decontaminated. The manager thought she would offer me one free night. I told her that was ludicrous and we got the entire stay for free. I am writing the hotel because I had to go to the doctor to get the weepy ones checked out and they gave me medicine that I had to pay for. I missed my work convention that we paid for and the reason I was at that hotel. This was an upgraded executive suite at the Hilton. When they pulled the sheets up there is a date that the house keepers mark on them and they were not up to date. This shows that this hotel did not do what they were supposed to do and I was the one who got bit because of it. Terrible stay- stay elsewhere!
A lot of disappointment for GSU, but not for Southern
Good hotel, just came at a busy time. Parking was difficult.
Service was great from the very beginning. Blacks in Government training conference was well coordinated with the Hilton staff. Clean room and the facility was always top notch. Love the location being so close to the French Quarters. Food is awesome at the hotel.
The room was nice, the hotel was very nice. The only thing that I was not please with, the water was never hot when I took a shower.
Have a fridge in room, could use a small microwave....pleaase
Staff is not friendly
Hard to navigate through.
Just ok. Took 45 minutes to check us in and then was provided with wrong directions to our room. The room was fine, no complaints there. Just expected more in the way of customer service.
Rooms are spacious and well decorated, perfect air conditioning temperature.
Great accommodations. Riverwalk next door is great. Loved the view of the Mississippi. Hotel is very large though, easy to get lost though. I would stay there again though.
The waiter seemed to have forgotten about us, but the alligator tacos were good. Very nice and well air conditioned.
Front desk service was great Brandon was a great help
Such a nice venue. Would recommend to anyone. Great restaurant as well. Drago's is delicious. Perfect location. Connected to mall for easy shopping and decent food court. Right on River with incredible views. Very nice. Highly recommend.
Stayed for an event at the convention center. The location was fantastic for my needs with walkable access to the center as well as area restaurants and attractions. The hotel rooms were large, clean, and comfortable throughout our stay. Service was prompt and professional.
I stayed here for 3 days on a work trip. There were positives and negatives. Positives were a clean and quiet room, location of the hotel is nicely situated along the river, and the staff was nice. Negatives included a very congested and confusing entryway and check-in setup, a leaky faucet which I reported to the staff and they promised would be fixed ASAP but never was, and an error on their part that overcharged my room by $500. I caught it and had to make a trip to guest services to get resolve it. They said they fixed it. But it still hadn't been corrected by the next day when I went to check out. I also find it perturbing that the more affordable hotel chains include simple niceties like free and open WiFi, complimentary breakfast, and easy access to the fitness center. Fortunately my employer that booked the room is a Hilton Honors member or I would have had to pay extra for WiFi and Fitness Center. I was on my own for breakfast. Just for the principle of the thing, I never ate in their restaurant, choosing to walk a block or two for a more "local" experience. Anyway, I had a descent stay, but would look elsewhere next time.
Stayed here for the Labor Day weekend, parking was $44 dollars a day which was ridiculous and the hotel didn t offer free breakfast it was $28 dollars a day. As far as location it was ok. The only plus to this hotel was that it was connected to the mall and you could see the river but besides that it was one of the worse hotel I stayed at. The bathroom had a sour odor to it as well. To be the Hilton I was very disappointed
The absolutely best hotel to stay while in Nola. Right there near mall and aquarium and walk out the back and you are on the river walk. Roof top pool is awesome as well with great views. Love the rooms and hospitality!
I won't ever stay at another Hilton in New Orleans again. Everyone is super unhelpful and no one EVER answers the phone. Trust me, this horrible service isn't worth the money and time to you spend dealing with their crap.
Beautiful building located right on the river, across from the Harrah's Casino and outlet shops. Extremely friendly staff and wonderful architecture throughout.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Facilities are great and plenty. Rooms are dated but clean.
Exactly what you would expect from a Hilton property. Clean rooms. Great amenities. It is a beautiful location in the side of the river. Walking distance to lots of fun in the French quarter. Would definitely stay here again.
Just stopped by for a cocktail and a snack, good flatbread pizza.
We stayed here before and after a cruise to Cozumel. The Hilton is always inviting and I love their furnishings and comfy beds. This location is right across from Harrah's and had a street car stop right at the hotel. I would stay here again.
Nice location........
Apparently you have to pay extra for a view... ours looked out to a wall 6 foot away so dark and dingy you need the light on during the day
Housekeeping was ok but kept forgetting to leave coffee and toiletries
Over half a hour in line to check in
2 stars for the location....
The hotel itself is very nice and depending on your budget and room assignment you can get a city view or river view. I had the river view which was nice to wake up to in the morning. The hotel is well maintained and a short 15 min walk to the craziness of bourbon and other areas. It is also a few minute walk to the river walk mall and the paddle wheel cruise. The reason for 4 vs 5 was the staff, mostly the ones in the restaurant le croissant. On my first two visits it was horrible cold food slow staff and when I finally had enough and asked for my bill I was told to leave. I spoke to management and they said they will handle it. The rest of the week went well. The food if you do made to order is good but the buffets was constantly cold. When you are here for training you don t have many options for breakfast.
Lousy convention center!
Overflowing trash containers. Poorly stocked bathrooms that are poorly cleaned. FAR too few bathrooms for women. Dated facility. Poor signage inside so hard to find places. No drinking fountains (apparently to force you to buy beverages from them).
The entrance/exit is basically an alleyway.
Nice hotel and a great bar. In town for a healthcare convention. I would definitely recommend it.
Didn't go inside. But I walked outside of it, and it looked beautiful
Way too busy but its neat and has a lot of action within a block or two
Lauren is the lovely lady that checked me in is the best thing about our visit. Our room reeked of cigarettes. The Valet parking/self parking is very confusing. Traveling with a family member in a wheelchair I did not find the staff very friendly or willing to help.
Very nice place as long as you do not look too close to things. Place looks amazing till you start to see that it is need of repairs and renovation. Restaurants are way too expensive for the food that you get. The inhouse bar is a joke. For a shot of wild turkey and a bottle of beer is $17. I am serious. The people that work there are very friendly and do their job very well. Very helpful. The upper management needs to look around and see all the repairs and updates that need to be made.
Rooms are okay. Hotel is adequate. The location is good if attending a conference.
Very nice place to stay staff very friendly and the hotel was very nice and clean.
Ate at the hotel restaurant Drago's. Very large dining room. Clean hotel. Very nice e location.
Very clean rooms, shower and tub was decent size with really hot water. Over all hotel was very nice.
Enjoyed my stay as a Hilton Honors member. Everything was 1st Class.
The hotel looks very nice, and is clean. However, the staff was kinda rude and they got our room type wrong. Disappointed in the staff, considering it's a 4 star hotel.
The lobby is always clean and as a wonderful atmosphere. The location is perfect. Everything is within walking distance and the parking garage is the only one I use when I come to the city because of it's location. This is truly one of the best hotels in New Orleans.
Ok, expensive for the room I got. Needed a lot of updating.
This hotel is the worst business hotel I ve ever stayed in. Super dumpy is the best way to describe it. The rooms are horribly dated, to the point that they have shampoo and conditioner pumps in the bathroom. (Of which my room was totally out of, and it took multiple calls to housekeeping to finally refill.) Even when the shampoo was refilled, instead of exchanging the canister, they just left the bottle on the sink counter. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors. Additionally, there is a perpetual shortage of staff at the check-in counter. Not only did it take forever to get checked in, they also didn t properly set up my keys. Only one worked when i got to my room. When the other one later demagnetized, I went down and experienced the slowness and staff shortage yet again. I could go on, but you get the point. Stay anywhere else but here!!! If I wasn t here for a convention, I d never stay here. And I still have four more days!!!
Very comfortable, surprisingly affordable, and convenient to the Riverwalk outlet stores.
Clean, comfy rooms. The view would have been great - the river - except the windows were very dirty. I could not get a good picture. Hot water faucets made a horrible noise unless they were turned off just right. Could hear the same noise from all adjoining rooms whenever they ran water. There is a train that comes by right next to the hotel. It does blow its whistle very loudly but it didnt seem to come through more than a couple of times at night. I was surprised that there were no microwaves in the rooms. I found out on the shuttle ride leaving the hotel that there was a public microwave somewhere in the hotel. I was not told that when I asked the front desk. Went for a work conference and there were several conferences going at the same time. There was one set of restrooms in the area and there were only 4 stalls in the women's restroom. There were over 1000 people in the convention rooms who all took breaks and lunches at the same time. Not adequate at all. I went to front desk to find vending machines was told they are on each floor. I never found a sign anywhere pointing to vending machine or ice machine - never found them. Was surprised that gift store was closed before 8pm. I found nowhere in the hotel to buy a bottle of water in the evening. Staff was ok but didnt go out of their way. More than once while I was waiting to ask for something I had to wait for the employee to finish their conversation with a fellow employee. Seems like communication needs to be reviewed here - in all areas. Picture I posted for the review was the best I could get out of the room - after it rained and sort of washed the windows a bit.
Great covered public parking lot near all the main attractions down town.
Had a great time at the hotel. Stay was comfortable. Stay was accommodating to our needs and helped us keep the same rooms despite having two different reservations across two days.
The service was good. Our room was not what we would have expected from a Hilton in that price range. There was a hole in the wall, wallpaper was peeling off in places, furniture was very worn. It was a good location for what we needed.
A rip off. $300 something a night for a small room, an extra $44 a DAY to self park in the parking ramp next to the hotel, and no continental breakfast....so plan to pay a lot more than expected! I will say the coffee in the room was very good though.
This the absolutely worst Hilton on the planet! Most of the staff was friendly, the front desk is rude unhelpful and dismissive to what I consider a serious issue! NO HOT WATER!
Then when I asked for a resolution, I was told I needed to repack all my stuff and move rooms. Do not stay at this Hilton!
It's hard to rate this place because there is such a disparity between the quality of the hotel and the service. The location is convenient, plenty of nice decoration, great views, the rooms could be improved slightly but my biggest issue is the staff. They are just lacking the polish everything everything else has. I'd say 1 in 2 interactions left a bad taste in my mouth. I could understand if this was a cheap hotel but it is not!
Excellent bar and wait server, Brandon and front desk Francois deserve recognition. Very comfortable stay before boarding the American Queen.
Room was clean, service was great. Complementary drinks in the lobby were nice too!
Clean rooms, close to everything. Very accommodating
Rooms clean, nice river view, Drago's restaurant and bar area very nice.
