Good location not far riverwalk outlet mall and casino.
Excellent was here for Nationwide convention and our time here would not have been as good without the magnificent staff at the Hotel and the convention center. My wife and I are vegans and the breakfast serving staff got wind of it and boy did take care of us personally, specially Neum he seems to be a supervisor. But had the chef prepare a tofu veggie platter just for us. Wow Wow and this is just one little thing that blew us away. We felt like a Hilton Royalty. From the concierge to the room cleaning staff. Really impressed would highly recommend. We appreciate your 110% dedicated team effort!!!!
Rooms are clean and staff is very friendly. Would definitely consider coming here for leisure.
Rooms were clean, decoration seemed a little dated. Staff was friendly.
Our view was great! The staff was fantastic. Our room was just ok. Had issues with our shower. They tried to fix it. Fan in bathroom never stops. Bed was comfortable.
U stay in the hotel but u pay for parking but folls that visit the RESTAURANT DRAGOS get validated.... wowed.
Visited the bar for the Super Bowl. Service was responsive, courteous, and friendly. Enjoyed it.
Great facility to stay. Close enough to all the fun New Orleans has to offer, but far enough to be away once your done. Also next to Harrah's if you want to gamble.
Good location, great restaurants in hotel. The rooms definitely need some work, basic things did not work (Bathroom lights, fan, remote) for some reason the air vent is right over the temperature control so only that part of the room was at the right temperature.
Nice visit. Close to EVERYTHING. Breakfast superb. Expensive drinks and souvenirs, but that's most hotels.
Drago's Seafood at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside was fantastic! Didn't stay at the hotel, but I kinda wish I had, so I could eat more Drago's!
Great location with easy access to downtown fun. Also close to the convention center
Dinner at Drago's Restaurant was very good. The food was delicious, although the menu wasn't all that original. Prices were reasonable and our server was outstanding. The ambience was not quite as nice as I'd expected, but overall the meal was enjoyable.
Great service, great people and a great environment.
Wonderful place too stay, the people who work there treat you like family.
Poor. Guest service provided poor information. I'm disabled. Failed to tell me a trottle was right outside entrance and the easiest way to get to good area in mall. I've been a Manager at Hilton the embassy. The Hilton must give better service. After a false fire alarm failed to offer a cut in room cost
Pretty good food if you are staying in the hotel but not worth walking or ubering to.
Close to river, beautiful, clean hotel, great breakfast buffets
Excellent service and clean rooms. Only issues were that the tub didn't drain well, and they didn't give us more our toilet paper on the second day of our stay, causing us to run out that evening. Overall though, great experience and stay. Would recommend. It's one of the more clean, and safe places to stay in New Orleans. Also the proxemity to the Riverside outlet mall is superb.
We came to N.O. for my wife's Birthday. Upon arrival the young lady, Zaria, who checked us in learned of the special occasion and decided to make our experience one to never forget! She was amazing from beginning to end. We travel alot and have had pretty good service at Hilton, but Zaria out did herself in making us feel like family. Thank you
Great meeting space. Excellent equipment. Large and spacious for any event!
Love this hotel. Stayed here multiple times. Great, safe location.
Worst housekeeping we have ever experienced. Day 1 our room was not serviced until after 4pm which made it difficult to get ready for an evening out. Day 2 we were out of the room from 10am-3pm. Got back and room had not been serviced. Left again and returned at 9pm and room was never serviced. No new towels, in room coffee not replaced, used glasses not replaced, etc. Day 3 we were out of the room from 9am to 1pm and returned to find the room had not been serviced. Called to request housekeeping and they said they would send someone right up. Went to the pool for 3 hours. When we returned they were just finishing a half assed job. This time our used glasses were gone but not replaced. Left us 1 cup for in room coffee, bathroom not really cleaned. Seems like they made the bed and emptied the garbage can and that was it. Day 4 now. It's our last day and I anticipate our room will not be serviced. We have been traveling for 25 years and always tip housekeeping. Not this time.
Update: Day 4. Out all day til 3:30pm. And yep, housekeeping has not serviced our room so during a 4 day stay they came once on their own and once when we called and requested service. 2 days out of 4 they never came.
Hello, my name is Yolanda King and I stayed at this hotel for the Essence Festival 25th Anniversary this past weekend. It was my first time visiting New Orleans and a special occasion my birthday. My experience was AMAZING EPIC MAGICAL! Everything you'll ever need inside a hotel they have right at your fingertips. I would like to recognize Ms. Tammy who works there for being so sweet and friendly! She is the epitome of excellent customer service. Keep being GREAT it looks good on you!
Yours Truly,a satisfied customer
We paid $564 for one night plus a week of parking for our car while we were on a cruise.
The parking is very confusing, especially for us country folks from out of town. Nobody explained anything to us so we ended up dragging our luggage from the parking deck all the way to our room. me being on Dialysis didn't help things at all.
Everything in the room was fine until we got ready for bed. My wife walked around to the side of the bed closest to the bathroom and stepped in a puddle of PUKE on the floor!
I am on Dialysis and had already hooked up to my machine so we had no option to be moved to another room. I called the desk and they said they would send someone right up. About 30 minutes later and guy showed up and looked at the puddle and said he'd get someone in there to clean it up. SERIOUSLY, it took about another 20 minutes to get someone in there. The guy actually accused US of doing it!!! I was shocked! No compassion, no apology, no nothing.
They didn't offer a discount or anything...Horrible experience. I will never stay there again when we go on a cruise. Gross, Gross, Gross!!! We stayed the night of August 1, 2015.
My first room was filthy, so they moved me to a better room. It was nice, but it was dusty and there was no remote control. The ice machine on my floor didn't work either. But for 79$ a night, it's ok.
We ate our evening meal at Drago's in the Hilton New Orleans while here on business. Food and service was exceptional!
I stayed there in July a very pretty hotel easy access to transportation restaurants and more
Overpriced, No Wi Fi in rooms unless u pay 12.00 per device per day, No Complimentary Breakfast, 35.00 a day to park in garage, they have a convienence store in hotel with everything overpriced, ex: bag of chips 3.00, bottle of water (16oz.) $3.00, and for people who drink, a PINT OF CROWN ROYAL $30.00., definitely not a Family Hotel.
Want to give 0 stars
Derrick if u see him is rude and so is some other staff. He declined something that was promised to us. Another staff agreed for a parking discount (original 45$) after you buy stuff at the mall but he decline like he didn't know and didn't care. He knows nothing. Even though he is a supervisor, the employees sound better than him. Also DONT BOOK THE HOTEL. IF YOU BOOK THE STANDARD CHEAP RATE THEN THEY ARE GOING TO TRANSFER YOU TO THE extended Hotel by the train tracks. There is no view and the windows are small. Do not try the hotel. The building is trash just like the staff.
Love the hotel and it had a great view of the water.
A nice hotel with extremely friendly staff! I only gave 4 stars because I would have expected much larger bathrooms for a Hilton. The ones here are very tiny and had poor ventilation
Electrical outlet in conference room caught fire and smoked. A representative of the hotel came and placed what looked like a popcorn bucket over it after about 45 minutes. Maintenance showed up a few hours later and put a safety cone over it. The staff handling the parking validation was awesome on the other hand.
Recently stayed here for my anniversary. The location is great and we had a beautiful view and the bar was fantastic with wonderful staff. The room on the other hanf, which was an "upgrade" was small and the air conditioning unit was sub standard and couldn't keep up. Can't sleep when it's that warm.
Never liked an oyster but the charbroiled oysters at Dragos is top notch
This hotel is extremely over priced, for the quality of the stay and the service as well, they failed to have our room ready even after we called in advance to tell them we were roughly an hour out, so they down graded us from a king suite to a double bed and tried to play it off as an upgrade along with the fact that their fine dining that they offer down stairs at Dragos is mediocre on a good day, the mattresses are lumpy, the ac wouldn t get cold, our room fridge didn t work, neither did the coffee maker, along with they wanted 30 dollars for their continental breakfast that did not hold a candle to literally any other hotel Breakfast. Not to mention nobody at the hotel bar knows how to make a mixed drink to save their life, I ve had much better experiences at holiday inns, save your money and stay far away from this place, it s a real s******e if I could give it 0 stars I could!!!
Nice, clean. Only one in hotel restarant option though. Staff was friendly. I thought the cost was a bit pricey for the accommodations, but it is market rate. I would come back without hesitation.
great service and room
local to all must see sites
recommend upgrade to executive suite. pays for itself with free WiFi breakfast and evening hors doerves
Was here for a conference, great location and the food was amazing!
It was a pretty nice place. It is really close to all the popular spots we wanted to visit. They have a couple restaurants in it but with all the recommended places during our stay we didn't get to try them. But when leaving the hotel we could see inside while people were dining and the food looked DELICIOUS
The Drago's restaurant/bar is absolutely wonderful. Great, classic, New Orleans seafood. Definitely recommend!
the facilities for the Hilton Orwell maintained and the staff professional and polite. I was attending a professional events and have the opportunity to use one of the meeting rooms which was perfect for the needs of our group and organization.
Nice hotel, clean and close to everything downtown in the French Quarter.
Called ahead of time to ask if I could valet park my F-250, I was told that was not going to be an issue at all. When I arrived they told me I had to park on the "whale lot" because of the size of my truck. This parking lot is a city block away from my room. On the walk back, I noticed there was an uncovered parking lot, that was much closer and that was valet only plus I watched them valet the same truck as mine before I walked into the hotel. Guess my money isn't green.
They put us in a room right next to the elevator closet, (this was supposed to be an upgraded room) the noise was so loud we had to call and ask to change rooms, and got two small queens instead of a king.
Shower water pressure was weak, and the shower head was nasty.
I wont be staying again.
Upon arrival we was impressed with curb appeal outside as well as inside was inviting and welcoming, very clean. The HIlton Riverside Hotel New Orleans is the place to book your next get away. Love, Love this place. I highly recommend this hotel.
JP.
We had a nice trip and stayed at the Hilton. On the night of arrival, we were exhausted and hungry and wanting advice about where to eat. We asked the concierge and got wonderful advice and Vicki C. went out of her way to help us find a vegetarian restaurant (or at least a restaurant with vegetarian options). This is something we struggle with in some cities so it was relieving to have to have the friendly help when we didn't have the energy to look all over town. Not only that, she made us laugh. Like full belly laughs :)
We are enjoying our stay in a large standard room. We were lucky to get a view of the river. Next we are off to the pool! Yes this is a great family hotel.
I was here for a conference so I cannot attest to the rooms. The service was exceptional as they came around and asked to take our lunch trash and keep the facilities clean. Drago's is downstairs and delicious. The conference rooms varied from small to large and were comfortable. It is pricey - about $200 a night when other hotels a block away are half that.
This was an exceptional hotel. The staff was friendly in every way. Drago's restaurant was clean and spacious. The food was delicious. It was very close to the boardwalk and all of New Orleans entertainment. Every thing was in walking distance, but also far enough away from the center of the crowd. It will probably be the only place I stay the next time I am in town.
Not really impressed very expensive for nothing they but my room right by the train tracks at 3:20am I was awakened by the screeching tires and fog horn of the train also the clanging noise that echoed into the walls of my room I was already upset they didnt have free or discounted parking so I ended up paying $306 for the room plus $88 for parking when I originally had plans on paying $247 that's what my total for the room was online and breakfast is not free either nothing here is never will stay here again and when I checked in they front clerk didnt explain to me how to get to my room from the parking garage the only thing she said is that you're in building 2 and how to get there from the desk so I wondered around for 20plus mins trying to find my room honestly I was terrified to even watch tv that they might change me
Another class hotel in America's most foreign city, New Orleans. The views are spectacular, rooms are fabulous(had the river view) and many a memory from college and the Worlds Fair in 1984
Not a bad stay the hotel is a bit older but it wasn't that bad
Good location. Friendly staff. Clean. Average experience.
nice hotel with a great location. The checkout process was terrible due to inadequate staffing. The manager was present but flying below the radar while her employee was harassed by angry guest. The frustration should have been directed toward the manager and not the employee simply following instructions.
Comfortable rooms but pricey. Numerous food options on and offsite. Excellent meeting facilities and support (tech and logistical).
It s so bad. Staff is TERRIBLE. Go somewhere else, seriously!! They treat you like junk!
I was here for a conference, and was quite disappointed. The room was dirty, missing basic amenities, and service was very inconsistent.
Clean hotel, at a good location. Nearby streetcars on canal and the Poydras station is literally outside the front door. Housekeeping didn't clean our room for 2 days however. Was disappointed in that.
Terrible extremely loud train noise that wakes you up in the middle of the night multiple times. I couldn't get to sleep at all because once I did, another train would come through. 3 nights of this for work and I was ready to leave as soon as possible on the last day.
Really like the location it's fantastic but what puts it over the top or the people that work there I stayed a lot of Hilton so I have status but they upgraded me without me even asking and took care of a little problem with in-room safe within minutes and gave me free drinks for the trouble and it really wasn't trouble they were so nice about it I will definitely be back
Older hotel. Small tv. Mattress uncomfortable. Nice access to many attractions.
Very nice rooms, very nice staff. Lots of places to visit.
I m a gold member of Hilton Honor, however, I didn t get complimentary breakfast when we stayed at Hilton New Orleans Riverside from 5/22- 5/29. Instead, I was charged with all the breakfast we had at Hilton. After the vacation, I contacted the customer service right away, however, up to this morning (6/17/2019), the issue is still unresolved. One representative claimed that I got points. Actually the points I got was for the non- house keeping choice. Obviously they don t know what they re doing. I am very unhappy!
Great hotel, very central to everything. Their breakfast buffet was really good too! Would definitely stay again.
Nice rooms, 2 pools, very nice view and close to tourist attractions
Great location right on the Riverwalk. Drago's restaurant had great food and service.
Stayed here for 11 days. Overall a good experience, but Le Croissant has very overpriced breakfast for sub par quality - $35 for the buffet which should have been about $20 tops. Also, parking for guests is very overpriced - $40/day + parking tax for a mostly empty parking garage. It cost more to park there than it did to rent the car. Wouldn't recommend for extended stays.
Not family on vacation favorably more for business people with expense accounts or convention crowds!
Just a Great place. Great location to everywhere. Staff really polite, helpful and professional. Sure helped us and promoted NOLA to the core. - Alan Miller, Australia
Work conference. Great location right on the river. Staff was fantastic!
Pretty much my worst hotel ever. The good news. The room wasn't too bad. A nice size but a bit old. The bad news. When we arrived there was no one to help with our bags, then the check-in is on the second floor so you have to drag your bags up there. Then there is no laundry only dry cleaning (who gets everything dry cleaned!). So if you get soaked there was no way to get it dry. Also the hotel is extremely busy. Then when we had do not disturb on until about 10am. Then came back about 13:00 and put DND on for about 15 minutes and got a note on the door to say that the DND had been on the whole morning so our room would not be made up. I had to find some one to make up the room. Then I tried to check out at about 9pm for the next morning as we were leaving at 5:30am. I got told that was not possible (I've never had a hotel that doesn't allow this) but reception will be open at 5:30am. Fun things to do at 5:30am! It's not like there is even a mini bar for you to use that must be charged later. So I told the person at reception that this was the worst hotel I had ever stayed in. His response was "ok", and I think that says it all about how much they care.
This hotel is huge!! We had to walk miles to reach our room. Service was quick and easy access to riverwalk outlet collection!! They have quite a few rooms facing the river for an extra cost.
A well kept hotel that's conveniently located about a block from the convention center.
Located at the end of Poydras and The Riverwalk, great restaurant and bar at Dragos
