I stayed at the ocean view. The sea and the sky are really beautiful! The air was clear and it was great. The food at the hotel was also delicious. I wanted to stay here as it is, but I will come back because I have a job.

Facilities are decent however this is a tourist hellscape. After spending a week on the big island this is very disappointing. Also Waikiki beach is super disappointing, very rocky and difficult to walk in the water. If your goal is a resort that provides everything you may need without leaving the property this is for you, otherwise I suggest going a bit further off the beaten path.
Great location and amenities. Close to everything you will need, pools, food and beach access. Would not recommend a car as parking is $43 and expensive. There is a rental cat facility on property and next door. Just get the car for the days you need it.
Very nice rooms. Beach is nice- crowded - as is downtown rodeo drive...errr...Kalakaua Street. The Village restaurants are absurdly expensive as are all the amenities. They really soak you for any convenience. Nice to stay... Get off the property to eat or even to enjoy the beach.
Hotel is great but rest of food and drinks are very very expensive. No free internet?....ridiculous. $7.00 draft beer?...mmm. ridiculos parking fee for staying customer. $27.00 self parking, $35 valet parking per day. So if you have a rent a car for a week, thats $210 average. I guess they want squeeze every penny's from the customers.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was ehhh. It was so crowded & there were conferences so people with suits all over the place! Waikiki beach & strip felt like a zoo, like I was in the middle of time square. And the traffic was ridiculous. We had an ocean view on the 22nd floor and that s about the only good thing I can say. It felt really not personal, at least not for a honeymoon. Not romantic at all. This busy location sucks for anyone trying to relax and get away from the city. We ended up booking another resort on the north side of the island. Sorry.
The "partial ocean view" was amazing and no need to upgrade to full view. We could see the nightly luau from our window balcony. Renovated queen beds were nice, quiet, and comfy.
A near perfect experience. We were here 9 nights and the checkin process was quick and smooth. The front desk supervisor checked us in and was very friendly. The room was large and the cleaner we had (Oliver) was fantastic and friendly. The only thing that spoiled this experience was the very last night. We played cards almost every night at the Tapa bar. We always ordered drinks as well. On the last night, while we were playing cards and ordering drinks, a server told us we were not allowed to play cards while they were in service (we were playing uno) even though we ordered drinks. I explained that we had played at least 5 nights of the last 8 and was told it didn t matter even though we ordered drinks. We spent a small fortune here on this trip and it left a sour taste in my mouth. Lots of good experiences happened while we were here. I really wish that wasn t our last impression of the resort.
Great place for families..... Somewhat hectic, and not enough room around any of the pool areas.... Very clean and always updating and maintaining.... Much recommend...
The rooms are pretty nice. The service is pretty bad. I reserved a king bed for two guests online. When I arrived to the hotel they tried giving me 2 doubles. I politely said, there must be a misunderstanding, I reserved a king bed. They tried to tell me I was wrong and they don't reserve bedding. When I showed them my online confirmation, thing got awkward... Long story short, I would let up and they ended up overriding someone else's king reservation to put me in... I felt bad for that guy. They also tried to make me feel like they were doing me a favor by giving me the room I reserved, which I thought was just weird.
The Hilton Hawaiian Village is place for all ages and you never need to leave. Several pools on the property with shops and dining to satisfy any delicate appetite.
This is really a village by itself that has everything, even birds walking around. Good for kids, there's high range shopping to ABC stores. Pools was crowded and might be hard to get a seat. Beach was nice and spacious. The room was a bit aged, but the facilities and amenities in the village made up for it.
Don't go for drinks. Same price as the beautiful pink hotel and drinks at the Hilton lack taste and alcohol. Which is quite sad. Go have a great Mai Tai at the pink hotel on the beach, they are generous with the alcohol too. No umbrella in the drinks and plastic cups.
Great location and service. Big premises though so be prepared to walk arround. And take time to understand how their lifts work - so many people didn't listen and couldn't figure it out!
The bed was comfortable but the room decor is dated and needs an update. Although the room has 3 lamps and an overhead light the lighting is poor. The room attendant does an excellent job. Considering the grounds that this resort sits on I expected more out of my overall experience.
This review is based on 5 nights at the Grand Islander. While the timeshare units and their towers are very nice and generally quiet, they're also a long walk from everything. Don't expect the same kind of amenities like restaurants and shops to be as convenient for them. We personally liked being away from the maddening crowds but some people might not like having to walk to get to restaurants, shops and the beach. Most of the Hilton Waikiki Village is very busy and swarming with families, especially the under sized pools filled with screaming kids. Forget the third floor pool at the Grand Islander, it's a wind tunnel. Restaurants are mediocre and overpriced for what you did. But you could say that about most places in Waikiki. While there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance, the location of the village is at the far west end of most of the Waikiki offerings. I would say the Hilton Waikiki Village is a great destination for families or groups but not as desirable for couples seeking a quiet romantic location.
I'm not loving room # 1666 because it's right next to the elevator and it's really loud. However, the housekeeping service man that takes care of this area is a real sweetheart. He has gone above and beyond for us and his level of customer service is not something I see much of any more these days. Even though I've been grumpy over the room, his kindness makes up for my negative feelings about it. The property is beautiful and has everything you need. The kids love the pool with the slide and are having no problems making friends. The resort food is spendy, but good. Eggs N Things Sarasota is only a short walk away for breakfast. We have had a great time.
Resort location and features are great. Rooms can be a bit worn depending on tower (Diamond Head for us). Check out was frustrating because bill had extra erroneous charges and had to wait in line for 30 minutes. Resort should really staff check-in and check-out desk properly so the lines are not so ridiculous.
Amazing rooms and incredible views. So many amazing restaurants inside of the village as well as right outside. Definitely my favorite hotel to stay in Hawaii
If you have an Amex Platinum. This is the place to stay. You get a welcome package with $30 food and beverage credit for each day you stay and a 1 time $100 food credit. You also get Express checkin at the hotel with the card and free water when you arrive and through out your stay. By far you must stay here if you come to hawaii.
This is a nice, but large hotel. It took us three days to finally figure out our way around the "village", and then it was time to leave. We loved the variety of shops here, and the convenience of the ABC stores onsite. For such a large hotel, its disappointing that they only have 1 hot tub, and you have to work for it(on roof of spa tower). Our ocean view room was a little misleading, but still its Hawaii so we werent in our room too much. Location is great since it is close to all the malls and restaurants in Waikiki.
Great location in Waikiki, sits right on the beach! Easy access to shops, coffee, restaurants, bars, buses, taxis. You name it, if you're on vacation definitely stay in and around this area. You can even check out the cool parrots, penguins and turtles for public viewing.
Lots of things to like. We stayed at the Grand Islander. The rooms were well equipped with full kitchen, great bath and bed. Decent size balcony to enjoy the morning, or evenings, or any other time of day. Some beach view, but it's a crowded airspace. While the beach is a short walk away, the pools in the resort are great safe place for family hangouts. The Rainbow marketplace is a nice place for shopping, food as well as provisions. Oh yes, don't miss the fireworks on the beach behind the Rainbow Tower on Friday nights at 7:45 pm.
I was playing "tourist" and walking around Waikiki. When at the Hilton Hawaiian Village staff were very friendly. I visited during dinner time and observed a nice atmosphere with live music. It was definitely a nice place.
We are know owners with hilton. Anyone want a Wyndham entry level time share for free. We love you guys already plotting next trip. Thank you for representing your brand so well.
Overnight on Tapa Tower 10th floor. Because it was expensive, it had an image of an ocean view, but it was a big loss. The scenery seen from the accommodation room, two hotels in front of you. The rooms are large. Two semi-doubles. Electricity is only indirect lighting and at first glance it is dark. Of course it's bright when you open the curtains, but it's bright in front of the hotel (go out on the veranda and pool down diagonally. You can see the beach on the right side.) That s why I ca n t open it. So I can't overlook the night ... However, there was a lace curtain, so during the day, the lace curtain was pulled and the laundry was dried and blindfolded.
It was in the same space as the powder room / toilet / bathroom, but the mirror could be big! The magnifying glass was also installed on the wall, but I didn't use it. The bathroom is not wide, but it was an easy-to-use vanity.
The toilet is a very normal toilet with a lid. The toilet paper was too far behind and difficult to take. After all, the Japanese missed the washlet. The environment without a washlet was hard.
The bathroom I didn't know how to get hot water out of the water. (Water came out from the shower above) Clean up ... Because it is a fixed shower, if you don't twist it, it will suddenly become hot water and you will be covered in the bathroom. Fixed shower is hard to use anyway.
Nearby shopping is a bit far, but you can walk. (Although there was a short distance, walking around the main street as if walking on the main street was a quick fun!)
The bus stop was also convenient from the bottom of the hotel, making it easy to get around. Everything inside the bus was comfortable and the driver was very happy with a lot of tension ^^
The facility itself is just fine, however my experience with most of the staff here has been disappointing. They re very snippy and rude. E.g. I asked the guy checking me in if he would like to read my hhonors number off my phone - not really he says, but then grabs my phone.
Love this hotel, great location. It has been staple in Hawaii for years. Have many restaurants, bars, and shops within the hotel village. The beach is lovely and Fridays are fun to watch the weekly fireworks. The staff always have an aloha spirit and greetings for you.
The Hilton Hawaiian Village was a very nice resort right off the Waikiki Beach! We stayed there for a week and enjoyed ourselves very much. There was always something to do in the Village whether it be shopping, eating, or lounging on the beach or lagoon. As nice as the resort was, be sure to venture off and explore the city too!
This place has everything you need. Pools, beaches, the lagoon, shopping, entertainment and variety of places to eat. Fireworks show on Fridays. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars, is the lunch options (besides Round table) are pretty outrageous. $11 for a hot dog!
A vast hotel complex at the intersection of Ala Moana Street from Waikiki Beach. It offers a whole range of hotel services, and its best advantage is its direct location next to the beach. A double-decker parking lot for cars.
It's expensive, but a damn nice place!! Has everything, in the center of everything. Great service, and the building we were in was so new, had everything. Really enjoyed our stay. Probably great for a family with young kids. Great pools, great beach, like ABC store in the complex open late so you can get snacks, drinks, whatever. I was impressed with this place.
I didn't stay here but I'll sleep here next time The location is far from the main street, but the beach in front and the large resort family enjoy a lot. And don't miss the fireworks on Friday evening. It's fantastic.
I had my rooms booked for 5 days while staying there a lady that works there walks by an says to me are you a Hawaiian Hilton reward member an I said yes. Then she says I can help you follow me. We got to the front desk an I pulled out my reservation paper out of my purse an handed it to her. She looks at it an says you know what I can get you a better deal. I looked at her an said you can well thank for telling me that I would have never known that. So she gives a room in the Ali an i have no clue what or where it is i never stayed there before. So I take my stuff to my room change my clothes because I flew from Texas to see my nephews graduate the next day. I left to go see my grandma an family in Kapolei an Waianae. The next morning I get up after not sleeping good because the toilet ran all night making a loud noise. I got up called them to let them know about got dressed left to help with graduation came back got dressed for graduation called them again about the toilet an left. While I'm at my nephew's an niece graduation they call me an tell me I need to come check out of my room. I am so confused about what they are talking about. They said you have to move your things to another room. I'm am upset don't understand what is going on I'm an hour away. I told them look I already have reservation for 5 days. She said no mam that room was only for one day. So long story short this lady put me in a room she wasn't supposed to for one day! I tried to ask them why would I stay in one room for one night then move all my luggage out for the next 4. I would never do such a stupid thing! So they tell me I can drive all the way back after graduation move my things into the other room in another hotel. When I get there I have all my printed out paper work to show them. They guy at the front desk then proceeds to tell me well your stuff is okay there until tomorrow. I looked at him an said what! They me tonight he said oh my mistake but you have a late check out charge. After reading him the 5th asking him to explain to me after what I told him how does all that makes sense to him he did not charge me the late check out which was all there mistake they were trying to cover up! I missed graduation dinner for both of the kids. They totally ruined everything plus lied about billing me because I got charged on my bill today. I didn't travel all that way to go through this. They never apologized only the valet guys because they seen it all. It was a very sad experience for me.
