Pretty underwhelming for the price. Rooms are outdated and well worn. Wait to check in after already checking in on-line was still 20+ minutes. Food prices are pretty high for the quality you get. I frequent Hilton properties and have stayed at nicer Hampton Inns than this. I did stay between Christmas and New Year and expected to be gouged on prices but expected a much better property. Grounds were nuce but be prepared for a $30 resort fee and that won't get you chairs to sit on the beach, that's another $19 per chair per day. Not sure i would chose this property again.

The grounds are huge. The hotel has four towers, several restaurants, bars, plenty of pools, clothing and convenience stores. The staff was very friendly, rooms and other areas very clean. There was a long line for check in which was annoying but checkout was very simple. It's right on the beach and close to a ton of other bars and restaurants.

I wish I'd checked the reviews before booking. The resort is lovely and like a condensed city within itself. It's rather Las Vegas-like. It's very clean and well appointed, but our room was tiny. We paid extra for an ocean view, but sacrificed elbow room. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The prices were a bit stunning, even when braced for "resort upcharge."

Awesome

My husband and I found an engagement ring and necklace while standing in line yesterday 9/1/18 to check into to the Hilton Village Inn Waikiki. It was in a unique looking container... we gave it to the manager on duty... desk and safe is right on that main lobby area. Watched the manager log the item and place it in a safe! I m sure who ever lost this was so upset and I really hope you think to look here or check back in with the hotel!!!

Rooms at the Hawaiian village are ok, a little high on the pricey side, but the village is cool for food and shops. The great thing though is the Friday night fireworks that they do on the beach (don't worry you don't have to be staying there to attend so just make sure you check them out no matter what).

Recently, I came to stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Village. I was there for a medical conference. During my stay we went to the pool with a few of my co-workers. During the 5 minutes we left our chairs to go to into the pool and return my wallet which included my id, credit cards, bank card and room card were taken. When I realized my things were missing I assumed I dropped it and searched everywhere, I went to the front desk where the manager on told me to wait to call the police and cancel my cards as they would show up soon most likely. Thankfully I checked my cards which were already being used and canceled them immediately. Then the manager stated he could not give me a new room card since I did not have an id and that I should be more careful as Waikiki is not the safest place. Which is a shock to me as I had left my things on the beach all day away from the hotel and had not been bothered, also no one at the hotel had stated that the pool was not safe or I would not have been there. When the police came, so I could make a report and have travel documents to get home he stated that they come to this Hilton 8-10 times a day for theft from the pool and rooms. That the police had also urged your hotel to place cameras or security near the pool which they have refused to do and to let people staying there aware of the risks near the pool which was also not done. In the future I will not stay at any Hilton and deter others from staying as well. This experience ruined my trip as well as cost me time and money. I am shocked to find out that the Hilton does not take the safety of its guests seriously.

Love this resort! Everything is available. From the beach, shops, to the amazing luau, the setting is perfect. The fireworks is placed perfectly infront. Little pricey, but worth it!

Amazing grounds, lots of shops and restaurants. A number of pools and direct access to the beach. Watch the sunrise from your room and the sunset from the beach.

All the staff are really nice and helpful. I would definately recommend and stay again.

The rooms are pretty nice, but the showers (I stayed in two different rooms here) don't stay at one temperature and take awhile to heat up. It's a very busy hotel and resort so don't expect a fast check-in. Great location, bars, and restaurants, though. I spent a lot of time at the resort eating and shopping with quick access to a beautiful beach.

In April 2016 we spent a week at the resort celebrating my wife's birthday in Hawaii and our upcoming 50th wedding anniversary in June 2016. Our daughter and son-in-law joined us for 4 of the 7 days staying in the adjacent Lagoon tower in the same resort. We decided to come in April because there is less rain than in June. Our room was on the 30th floor on the top of the colorful Rainbow Tower facing the ocean, the beach and Diamond Head mountain. At the resort, the four of us celebrated around the pool at the Friday live concert of a group singing both Hawaiian and contemporary songs followed by fireworks launched from the beach over the ocean waters. Afterwards, we enjoyed an excellent meal at the Tropic Bar and Grill restaurant on the beach in the same resort. On Sunday, we enjoyed a Hawaiian Luau in the same resort that had dance and acrobatic entertainment. However, our enthusiasm was dampened by rain as we ate our meal in raincoats, the only day it rained. The four of us went on a tour of Pearl Harbor and visited the Arizona memorial and the Battleship Missouri. On another day the four of us walked the beach and in the water. My wife and I went on a bus tour with several stops at sights around the entire island. We stopped for lunch at a farm restaurant where they raised shrimp. We did not need a car the entire 7 day trip. We had direct flights on Hawaiian Airlines from Las Vegas to Honolulu and back, leaving and returning on Tuesday. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at this resort and would do it again if we ever returned. A few days ago we celebrated our 53rd wedding anniversary with a delicious dinner at the Olive Garden restaurant. We have no big trips planned this year but will stay at home in Las Vegas, celebrating with our daughter and son-in-law who also live here.

Booked an ocean view room but the football field sized parking garage that you have to look at over your balcony to get the ocean view is beyond HIDEOUS. For 300 a night you cannot get a simple cup of coffee that you can even get in a motel 6...lol how is that possible in a resort. The coffee maker in the room does not work, it spits a few ounces out and stops. They sent a new one and it does the same thing. The Starbucks in the lobby is terrible, I would know because we are from Seattle. There are no restaurants at this hotel or anything else besides the lone Starbucks. So no enjoying a good morning coffee on the balcony. This hotel is the only one with an adult pool but it is also the only one without a bar so no "adult" beverages while enjoying the pool, another mind boggling annoyance. The room was just ok, I would say it's less than most normal mainland brand name hotels. Furniture was scuffed and scraped to the point of bare wood. After arrival we waited two hours to have our bathroom exhaust fan changed with a new one because it didn't work. This was for a 33rd anniversary celebration which was noted on the reservations but not one person made an effort to make it special for us. There is literally no one representing this resort located in this hotel, you have to walk over to a different hotel to talk to someone. So I give this resort an epic fail for our experience. Huge disappointment that I will not forget. Probably a great place for parents with kids but definitely not adults. We had room 2047, the other hotels are probably much better and at minimum you can get food or a drink in those. DO NOT STAY IN THE KALIA TOWER.

Everything is very overpriced and quality does not match the price. It is very congested with people and vehicles constantly. Most of these people are tourists who have no clue how to get around. If you got no where to go, have plenty of time and desire to spend alot of money you might like this place.

Large place with many people. Music in evening at Tapa bar was spirited with lively crowd. Friday fireworks a nice treat. Pools were crowded as were the restaurants each night. The room was nice with large TV and wide tub/shower. The wind whistled through the balcony door like a high pitched train whistle repeatedly throughout the night each night, probably needed new weather stripping.

At first we were skeptical because the line into the luau was long, not everyone got a lei, and we only got one Mai Tai with our meal. But thing picked up because the food was great and OH MY GOSH the dance performance was spectacular! An absolute must see. I have been to the luau at the Polynesian Culture Center, but this one is better!

The best thing about this hotel is proximity to the beach if you are staying in the rainbow or maybe ail'i towers. Most of the staff is not that friendly although one of the bell service employees, Darryl I believe is his name, was so friendly and helpful. We were 12th floor rainbow tower ocean front so we had awesome view of the Friday fireworks. However, you can hear every sliding glass door open and close no matter the time and it really wakes you up. Beds were uncomfortable compared to other Hilton's I've stayed at. Requested pillows to be brought to the room before check in, they werent,w which is fine but when I called to have two more brought up they told me "here but there is some in the closet" I let them know there was not but they didn't believe me. Also in a room of 4 people they only give 3 towels so I had to keep calling for more, not sure if that's how they try to get tips or not. DVD rental was dumb and not worth the "resort fee". The whole needing a towel card is crazy and a braclet like other resorts make more sense. More towel stands are needed. I get why they make you scan your card to get in and out of pool areas but when you are just in a bathing suit you might not have it on you at all times. The rental prices for bikes/boards in the lagoon are over priced, as is all the food and drinks. Disney Aulani, where over priced as well, but still cheaper than here. Tropics a
Bar and grill is the most over priced and I would not recommend eating there unless it's two people and you are looking to pay for the atmosphere. Our first night there, there was a giant cockroach crawling from the curtains across the celing. This is the biggest one I have ever seen and I live in florida! I called down and they could have cared less. I asked to have the room sprayed but never got
Confirmation it was. Pools were crowded and the lagoon sand it just concrete covered in smashed rocks/chalk. The whole rainbow tower really needs an update, new paint, bathroom showers, and beds.More
If we ever go to Hawaii again we will be looking at staying somewhere else because for the price it was really not worth it.

Pricey but nice, it's a whole resort. Lots of awesome pools, one with water slides, a lagoon and beach access. My wife liked the various shops and kiosks, my children liked the pools and the kids events they did, I liked the scenery

Stayed at the Rainbow Tower, and a fantastic view from the room. It s a very large scale, so there are many people,
The artificial lagoon is also fun. However, because it is large, there are too many people, so if you say good things, it will be lively.

There are plenty of pools and restaurants, and there are hands-on programs for kids, so I think it is a good choice for traveling to Hawaii with children.
The fireworks on Friday night are only 5 minutes, but it's pretty good.

We honestly rarely stayed at the resort. The room was very outdated but clean, the Gym and bar were closed for improvements So we had to go to another building, No ATM close. Get food early, only pizza after 9, and no microwave available in the rooms or the building, Pools closed for some event continuously, and very poorly maintained when they were open, trash everywhere, Over all extremely disappointed with this Hilton and we have been staying at Hilton over 10 years so we do know what an amazing stay is like, Not worth the money at all.

Check in can be busy, but it's fairly simple especially if you do digital check in. Staff are friendly and rooms are decent. Grounds are beautifully maintained with many picturesque spots. Food is not exceptional but it's a captive audience. Oddly enough some of the best food is at the Italian restaurant. Many over priced shops to choose from as well as 2 ABC stores to get reasonably priced trinkets and snacks or small meals.

If you didn't want to leave this place while visiting wikiki you dont have too. There is everything you need there. Shops, food, convienece stores, spa, hotel rooms, etc. Plus there's a great beach and lagoon. There are also events at night for people of all ages. My favorite event was the fireworks on Friday nights. The people are also very friendly and helpful to

Great if you have kids and enjoy a large amount of kids acting like jerks. Can't use any of the pools due to too many kids, even 10 at night. Room was dirty and chipping paint. Food was way too expensive and not good quality. Check in can take over an hour. Drinks are very expensive and weak. Overall a poor experience.

It is beautiful and the scenery is good.

It is beautiful and the scenery is good.
Rooms are large and have a veranda.
But ... I can hear the voices and sounds of other rooms, whether the walls are thin.

The Hilton brand follows tradition and if you want comfort, huge beds, and an outstanding plethora of eateries the Hilton Hawaiian Village can enhance your stay. The Bellman are excellent and informative and know the island, anything at poolside is posh and well polished but pay attention to the sun exposure. You dont want to miss anything due to sunburn. Enjoy your stay~

Went for the 117th submariners ball. Great time! The ballroom is elegant and professional, if you are looking to hold a convention or have an amazing venue for your meeting or party. Here you go.

Such great customer service at the Village! We upgraded our room to from ocean view room at the Village tower to the ocean view room at the Kalia tower. We loved the view and balcony from our room, only gripe was that the elevators can be extremely slow and the room is a little outdated and bare. You literally have only the necessities but that s all you need when you wake up to the world s most beautiful view.

There s also a $49/day resort fee that I ve noticed a lot of hotels begin to charge nowadays. We paid for that at check-in, which the lines can be super long and slow. Also, over night parking ranges $49-$59/night.

We prepaid booked through a third party traveling company otherwise we could have earned Hilton points on the additional upgrade... know your options!

Anyways, this is place is beautiful, fun, convenient, treat yourself and enjoy the Friday evening fireworks!

I have never given a bad review on anything but i want to share my experience with this hotel. I am an Honors member. First i signed up for the extra $25 early check in option, i got an email saying that my room will be available early that morning. I get to Waikiki early and was told that they will call me when it is ready. My room was not ready until 5PM!!!!. Normal check in is at 3PM!!!. They still tried to charge me the $25 in the end!!! At around 1 AM my AC which is almost over the bed, starts with a "knocking sound" that did not go away. I shut it off but it gets warm but at least the wife and I can sleep. Early in the morning though we heard loud banging noises from the balcony. There was construction below us in the building in front of us. We where in Tapa tower 2930. I tell the front desk in the morning about it needing repair and was assured that it would be. We return to the hotel at around 5 pm and was assured by the front desk that it was repaired. By 9 pm it was "knocking" even harder plus now there was a high pitched whistle. (I have the video for proof ) So...it wasn't fixed!!! I call for another repair. No one shows up. I go downstairs to the front desk and ask for help. I was told "It only been 30 minutes since you called" (like i was inconveniencing them) , "No,its been longer" , I explained. I explained that we need to sleep due to an early flight. I asked for a different room, there was none! After explaining my frustration she offered 2 separate rooms in 2 different towers that my wife and 3 kids would have to split up!!! I declined, we have been enjoying our Hawaiian vacation at Ko olina together! I left and decided to go to the TAPA bar. I pull up the menu and order a Tapa punch . The picture showed an orange colored drink in a nice tall cocktail glass with a pineapple wedge and a cherry. The waitress comes over with a black colored drink in a plastic cup!!!!! ( i have a pic of that too) I told the waitress what i ordered and showed the picture of their menu! She said "No that's just a picture,it never comes like that!!! OMG! What is wrong with these people? They charged me 13 bucks for that drink. Oh and I paid over $1000.00 for 2 nights for this experience!

Im staying here for 2 weeks. The service here is alright. They dont allow us to call the car for valet. Also, got back at 3am last night. All eateries were closed, so tried to heat up some food. They said they dont have any microwaves whatsoever on the property because its a liability. Ridiculous.

The biggest reason this property only gets three stars is that there is no 24-hour (or even late-night) food available. A resort this large, especially under the Hilton name, should have options on site for 24-hour room service, or at least dining.

The staff is friendly, and the room has always been clean. (Flight crew member, and my company stays here often.)

Attended the submarine ball and the service was pretty good. Alcohol was way over priced and they were stingy with the dinner rolls. The meal was great though, large portion very filling.

Great resort! The Kalia tower was particularly nice. They have some nice amenities, but a lot of their events cost a lot of money, which is typical for a resort. Room air conditioning is not the best but otherwise it was clean and well kept! Not a bad price either.
