Had a really great stay here. Definetly would recommend this place. Hotel is nice, lots of things to do and a variety of options of food. Hotel service was amazing.

It's okay. Nice hotel. Everything is a bit too spread out for my liking though. Food is overpriced and they do not have microwaves in the rooms which is a bit silly.
Rainbow tower ocean front room has amazing views. Very busy hotel with a slow check-in queue. Nice Beach and about 15 min walk into main Waikiki, and 15 min walk the other way to Ala mosna shopping centre.
It is convenient because it can be used here in various ways
Family had a great time here. The shops are fun and the environment is nice.
The Kalia Tower has become a bit old, but has been completely renovated and is it good for Japanese people? There was a washlet attached. The scenery was good, and it was Friday at night so I could watch the fireworks from around 20:00 to 10 minutes.
Large property with many amenities including shops and restaurants. This is a very popular destination and hence parts of the hotel and the rooms definitely show signs of wear. Lines can be long for things such as checking in / talking to the concierge. Food in the restaurants on the property is pretty mediocre - would go to other places to eat...
Perfect Oahu hotel, great pools & beach, walking distance from the city centre, my kids loved it
The views are amazing. The hotel is wonderful, so much to do and see here.
Room was spacious and clean. Most of the staff were friendly.
Great place to get in touch with Hawaii culture and Market!!
Not as expected.
We had a room in the Rainbow Tower overlooking the Diamond Head, the view a dream, the room in need of renovation.
Old chair, dirty air conditioning and shower head, walls damaged.
With prices of 300 EUR the room I think, you can rest not only on the view!
Great resort - very large facilities with many swimming pools and great access on the beach. Lots of things to do for the kids!
Not in the center but a short walk away so not too bad. lots of shops around and many restaurant available. The buffet breakfast can be very crowded.
The rooms are large and well equipped but some show some aging.... would benefit from a little remodeling.
Friendly staff
Met friends that were staying at the hotel for dinner. Valet parking is insanely expensive at $40 for the evening. I've no idea what self parking costs, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was $15 or $20 for the evening. On the plus side, friends got a free room upgrade a very spacious suite.
Top quality resort. Provided early check in and an amazing room upgrade. The staff are delightful and helpful. Will definately be staying here again in the future.
This is probably one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. No matter where you go, the screaming kids are endless at all hours. They don't even have an Adults only pool or area. The rooms are very outdated. The food is extremely boring, overpriced and centered around taking advantage of the naive Japanese tourist. The WIFI is extremely unreliable and slow. The beach is small and crowded, with poor sand quality and visible pollution in the water. We ended up walking over to the Royal Hawaiian beach every day. If you're looking for a an actual decent hotel with an adults only infinity pool, head over to the Sheraton and get the club lounge upgrade if you aren't already Platinum with Starwood. It comes with breakfast and light dinner with open bar. On Friday you can watch the Hilton fireworks from the 30th floor lounge in the Sheraton, which is much better than paying 30 dollars to watch at the Hilton.
Loved this place. Booked a high level corner room overlooking the ocean and diamond head on Rainbow tower. Beautiful views, nice amenities, great location, wonderful staff.
Great amenities, huge resort! It was beautiful, set right on the beach! The staff wasn't as friendly as what I am used to at a resort, but overall a good experience!
This place is beautiful!! Location is excellent, staff very friendly, and lots to do. We will definitely be back!!
Kid friendly, great food, easy beach access, near restaurants. My family loves the resort and we keep coming back!
I sent my 10 of my clients here for a couples vacation. Although I wrote to them several times to ensure that they were both together in the same tower and away from the noise and construction, the hotel put them in the tower directly near the construction AND their rooms all had a strange smell to it and were spread out far from one another. The hotel forced them to pay an extra $120/night to upgrade and refused to acknowledge anything wrong on their part. They also downgraded my clients from a suite to a regular room and did not offer to refund the price difference paid. Then my other clients arrive and the hotel lost their reservation and refused to acknowledge any error on their part again. I would NEVER send my clients back there after that horrible customer service experience.
Nice, but expensive. Don't bother with breakfast buffet. Local places around are way more affordable.
Way too over priced. All they want is your money...
This place is beautiful and everything you need is in the resort.
Worst "resort" experience ever. Beach towels were old bath towels that didn't even cover the pool chairs. Hot tub in building closed at 7pm.
Excellent location, with numerous amenities. The beach is just seconds away, with everything that entails. The Hawaiian Village is an excellent choice when visiting Waikiki.
Everything in Hawaii is just wonderful Place, people, food anything you name it . Hilton is near to beach and that makes it a wonderful spot and very Good Service
Beautiful escape. Secluded area for those staying at the Hilton. Private beach area. Pricy but you get what you pay for.
NEVER AGAIN... and here's why. (Nitty, gritty truth)
Check in process... - 20 stars
Only took an hour and 19 minutes to check into the hotel. (And Hilton Honors members took about the same amount of time.) We started timing the process and most were 13 minutes to check ONE person in.
Cleanliness... 4 stars
Had adult diapers left in our room, so it shows they aren't checking everything.
Rooms... 5 stars
The pictures are accurate and the rooms are spacious.
Sound... 1 star
It is loud. Think cruise ship on land. Music late at night EVERY NIGHT that echos. With the time difference, it was a hard pill for me to swallow.
Staff... 4 stars
They apologized for the wait.
Valet... 5 stars
Super quick, friendly, and willing to lend a helping hand.
Check out process... -10 stars
This time I have proof. Only 20 ish minutes to check out. But not a single employee helping the regular folk.
So, in a nutshell, we survived. But will never choose to stay here again. Mainly due to the check in process, check out process, and loud music.
Clean rooms, nice and friendly service. Needs a but of spot maintenance. Lots of dinning options around, in a very walkable area. I'd come back.
Was there for the Starlight Luau...always a great experience!!
Love the beach here... the lagoon is great for kids
The hotel was very nice but the area was super crowded.
Check-in is fast.location is great.facility is just so so. Resort fee is high. But overall experience is excellent.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The Village is in a nice area, my wife and I were able to walk to 99% of the places we went while in Honolulu. The beach at the resort is mediocre, it is very cocky and crowded. If you walk a ways down the beach(or on the walkway) you can get to sandier beaches.
Lots of activities to do, with the size of the resort. Over- priced... but to a level commensurate with how prices are on the island. Restaurants and shopping opportunities are good. If you wanted to, you could go there and not leave for an entire vacation. Had an ocean view from... view was just incredible.
The resort is spacious, shopping, dining and easy access to the lagoon. There are many things to shop.
Nice, BIG resort. Some of the staff were great, while others were VERY rude. Rooms were typical for a Hilton. Lines for absolutely everything in this village were long. Be aware, if you rent a car, self park costs $37 & valet costs $49 per day. This is separate from the resort fee. I'll stay elsewhere next time...
This property is an ALL you need to vacation type of place. ABC, Starbucks, many restaurants & bars. 4 towers many pools w/ bars attached and the SUPER pool to get wet if you don't like the Ocean.
Great resort to stay. Lots of Shops, Restaurants and Things to do. We did the Sub Package and the Turtle Snorkeling Package. The Ali'i Tower was a great place to stay which has a private pool for Ali'i guests only, plus there bracelet they give you grants you priority seating at Hilton Hiwaiian Village Resort Restaurants.
It is a wonderful area , best location with all services ! Great restaurants
Beautifull beach and lagon...much better than the rest of waikiki!
After staying at the Trump Hotel we weren't sure what to expect of the Hilton. We upgraded an ocean facing Suite which was on the 26th floor and it was perfect. The suite is a great room size and was perfect for family. It had amazing views which you can see from the picture that I uploaded. We love the fact that it was right on the beach and made it super convenient for us with young kids. The pool area was really fun too and it wasn't as busy as we thought it would be. The best part about the Hilton Hawaiian Village is the fact that there's a ton of places to eat within the Village area. Everything there is within walking distance and everything you would need is right there
Just a beautiful place. It s costly to stay here but you ve got fun stuff right around you.
The village is a system of towers, some time shares and others are hotels. Tons of shops and little carts selling, selling, selling. Everything more expensive than two blocks away on the main drag. Designed so that you stay inside! Tapa tower has large rooms with nice balconies. There is only one medium sized fitness room (6 treadmills & elliptical machines) for the ENTIRE village. The pools are crowed (there are four) and the towers often block the sun. The beach sand is not always clean. Seems like it is imitating Atlantis in Nassau but not as well done. If you do not return your towel card you are charged $10 !! Oh- The Luau- pay the cheaper rate, get there early. Buffet food nothing special, the show is cute. $99 includes two drinks- alcoholic ones containing one measured jigger of alcohol or 1 beer, wine or non-alcoholic drink!!! Pay $25 more to get a lei, sit closer and eat first?!?!?
Nicely kept landscaping, however room quality is hit or miss. We found power problems and outages, broken refrigerator that would not close or cool, lights in bathroom cut in and out, a/c was out part time, rooms not ready for check in until 7 or 730 pm, dust and dirt in room. Concerns were taken to the desk manager who was somewhat patronizing and offer no real solutions. We were in Honolulu for our wedding and fairly disappointed in out hotel selection. Not all of the listed problems were with a single room but three of them from us and others in our wedding party.
Awesome place to stay in Hawaii. Will definitely be going back!
Nice place to walk along the beach, though I wish the employees weren't outside the alley smoking and littering.
The lagoon and the beach outside the hotel has a lot of sharp pebbles, so bring water shoes for the kids. The hotel was super clean and nice and everyone was extremely friendly. However, this place was crowded!! We had difficulty finding seats at the pool. Just lines of people everywhere.
We first stayed at the Kalia tower, was a bit aged and food is expensive. After 3 days, we decided to move to the Rainbow tower and it was worthy. Beautiful oceanview room, newer room and absolutely stunning view! Pools are great for adults and kids as well. Beautiful place overall, the kids loved it too!!!
It's a nice location, they seem to Post one thing do another. Example went to buy a shave ice, there Special had 3 flavors and showed two additional ingredients for $9.50 when you order there Special the additional 2 toppings were $1.50 more. Nothing Special about that!!! And the sign listed the additional toppings as $0.75 Turns out that's each also not on the sign.
Discounts listed in a booklet given by the Hilton and some of the stores not wanting to take it. Very Strange
Always be a special place, spent my honeymoon there, 30 yrs ago.
The first time we came here it was amazing! We loved our stay everything was a walk away it was perfect!
COVID UPDATE: Everyone must be tested and have a negative result to enter. However, you will still be required to wear a mask everywhere outside of your room. All of the restaurants that the hotel offers are closed so DO NOT BOOK a "breakfast included room" as there is no breakfast place for you to go. There are outside vendors there that you can go dine in that are great but get there early in the peak seasons. This trip gave us the opportunity to see the city way more. The mall is huge and I would definitely recommend you visit. Diving was great and was a walkable distance and the escape rooms were a lot of fun! So Google was a great friend to us while we vacationed. The hotel was a great comfy stay. You call to schedule cleaning services which was easy. And maintenance, when needed, was super quick! The staff is forever friendly and we would definitely recommend staying here. MAHALO HAWAII!
Nice facilities. Stayed in the penthouse at the Grand Islander-great space and view. Would visit again. Just a bit pricey in the village.
Easy access/exit and helpful staff that helped with correcting a mismatch from what my reservation was to have been. Immaculately clean room.
This place has been great! Staff are friendly, shops aren't super over priced, right next door to the military bar also with no tax and a pretty awesome room also.
Loved it. My room at two and ice which looked at on diamond Head on one side and was a corner room if you can get these they're amazing and have a decent amount of space but it's the views that make you stay. PLEASE note this hotel has a policy not to give DIAMOND member benefits to more than one room booked under one member so if you have gold or diamond separately use them to get the benefit. This is important when booking more than one room. Otherwise you will only have breakfast credit for one room. Rainbow tower seemed the nicest.
Great place, stayed in the Ali'i tower ... Very nice rooms ... Felt recently updated and a giant TV. Price of food on the resort is crazy high but easy walk to local restaurants. One surprising thing was the 1.5l bottle of water was only $0.99 at the ABC store though. The Friday BBQ event was a fun alternative to a luau and great fireworks after.
Amazing resort. It s our third time coming, but the staff is minimum at best. They act like they re miserable and unhappy. If they treated their customers better, it would definitely be a 5 Star! Besides that, great beach, shops, location, and food! Walk-able to downtown!
Awesome location and lots to do close to the hotel.
Everything was perfect except the long wait for check-in
Love the view,,, PERFECT VIEW comfortable and relaxing
I give this place a solid 3.5 star. We stayed at the Waikikan Grand tower the first 4 nights (still here as I am writing this review) The rooms were clean, view was great cant complain about the rooms. I have to say that I didn't think the staff at Waikikan staff was overly friendly except during check in and Michael who was one of the greeter that showed you the 8th floor lounge while you waited for your room to be ready. You can walk by the bell stand and never once will they greet you.
We had lunch at Tropics and our server was super nice. Food and drinks for 2 cost over $100 and was not spectacular. It was incredibly pricey.
We also paid to see the Luau and there were 4 of us in the group. We highly recommend going elsewhere to see an authentic luau. Our group was highly disappointed in the show and food. A lot of the other guests all looked bored during the show and barely anyone went up for seconds. Save your money!
Activities on the beach for rental was also super expensive. If you are able to take out the rental onto the beach rather than the man made lagoon the money may be worth it. Otherwise $59 for 1 hour rental is extremely hight.
On our 5th day we were moving to the hotel side. We had a few questions as we weren't sure how to proceed. Grace called us and asked us how many bags we had as needed a bell man to help us move everything and was actually quite unfriendly and rude. But luckily when we arrived at the hotel side Cory was the best. She was not only super friendly but incredibly helpful. She helped check us in at Ali'i and that hotel is definitely the place to be. The staff at Ali'i were all outstanding. The view and service was great. We enjoyed the amenities and pool they offered. Customer service is huge for me and I have to say the bellstand really lacked that skill on both the hotel side and Waikikan side. I am happy to tip for great service but I expect great hospitality as well.
Overall my group and I are glad we tried it once. The rooms are super clean, facilities super clean, front desk staff and wait staff at restaurants super nice, other staff just didn't seem happy. In addition pool area super clean as well.
