The rooms are great: spacious enough to invite 10+ people over if traveling with a group, has a balcony for sitting and enjoying the great weather. The furnishings are a little worn (runs in the shower curtain, chipped paint on the ceiling, etc) but still functional, comfortable, and clean. Great amenities: you can sign up to make fresh flower leis, have a quick 20min hula or yoga lesson, rent unlimited DVDs (all included in the resort fee), or swim and ride the slides in the 5! pools. The hotel is located right on the beach, located right beside many shopping malls and stores, and offers car rental directly on the resort. It is just a short walk away from many well-liked and reviewed restaurants

Stayed here for a few nights. They had the nicest staff, and they took care of everything I needed. The rooms were clean and spacious, and literally everywhere you get a gorgeous view. In addition, you have many stores and restaurants around. Would definitely come here again.

This resort includes everything you need and don't need. The prices are high in most areas, and the hotel caters to Easterners, so don't be surprised by this.

The rooms are old and in need of renovation. Check in took forever. By far the worst hotel we had on our Hawaii vacation. Thank God we only stay one night.
Rooms are clean.

Stayed at the Ali I Tower, room stayed in was ok. Bathroom was big compared to the norm, so this was a plus. Was booked at a partial ocean view room not exactly partial as the room was facing the Hale Koa hotel. So a bit disappointed in there - although no big complaints. Room was fairly quiet from neighboring noises. Room service was quick and staff generally friendly. Although avoid the hours of 11am-3pm as this always seems to be the peak of the crowd (check outs/in). There is a small pool located at the second floor - generally littered with adults with drinks in their hand. The super pool across is decent size - go there during the morning to avoid the crowds. Overall HUGE property and lots to explore if you are willing to spend the $$$$.

This hotel is the largest Hilton in the world. It shows as sometimes this place is crazy busy, it's a town in a town. You can go shopping and eat exclusively at this hotel if you so desire. Would I recommend that? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Although it's a great place to stay, please as a local living in Honolulu get out and experience the island. For the rooms, they are quite nice. I've stayed in multiple different towers and was happily satisfied with them. the biggest problem with this hotel is that there's a lot of kids and sometimes can be a lot of families.

The room, while very expensive, was very underwhelming. I didn t get the room I had prepaid for so they upgraded me to a supposedly much nicer room but I still wasn t impressed. It was very blandly decorated, the comfort of the bed was average at best, the hot water took 15 mins to heat up and had very poor pressure, and the view was rather crummy. Above all else the most upsetting thing to me was the fact that they added a bunch of last minute resort fees that I expected, but I didn t expect a $50 charge a day to park my car myself. I really felt that parking should have been included especially if you were staying the night. Overall this resort was not worth the money and I expected a lot more from a Hilton. I d personally recommend choosing a different resort.

On arrival to the Hilton my family and I were hit with a charge just over $400 Australian to use to use the facilities such as internet and pools. Turns out any one can use the pools and free public intetnet. So $400 Aust for what...?
Note to all veterans just atempted to book a tour of Pearl Harbor throught the Hilton they will not honour Military service as a good "reason" for a discount...however theywould offer me a $150.00 US discount if i would give up one hr to "lern" about a new and exciting tower that the Hilton will be constructing.
Good way to support your brave men and woman in uniform Hilton. So veterans and families do what we did book it your self save your self the hassle of having to explain your self to some one who has little to no intrest in your sacrifice.
In the rooms there are zero things to alown you the gust to have a continental breakfast no bowls no knives no spoons. We do have 2 coffee cups..have 3 people in the room but two coffee cups. That brings me back to that $400 Charge for use of facilities but zero bowls.
I would strangely suggest air BnB save your money . I know when i next travel Hilton will not be on my radar. Over all service poor value for money poor. Hilton if you truly value your veterans prove it list your veterans discount on your web site.

Decent hotel. Timeshare gig is ridiculously expensive as is the food which was not good, except for their luau which was surprisingly good. I think it was way expensive, but it came with our timeshare pitch package. They attempted to charge me a $35/day resort fee, but I fought it since the package was all inclusive, which does not include $47/day fee to park a car... in general, I felt like the whole experience is not worth the cost and hassle.

Great views if you have a room with view. Resort is right on the beach, which is great. There are several shops and restaurants throughout the resort. Food is a bit pricy but it's expected of a beach front hotel in Waikiki.

I have been going to this hotel every year for 8 years, I only know the ALII tower and I must say that I find myself very well, the only thing I have to do is the exclusive swimming pool, which is not exclusive, it is true that they give a bracelet and yes enter only with the room key, but who controls? just show up at the front door they let you in without problems, at least following a regular guest, we don't talk about the pool, small, dirty and badly cared for, this year after several protests, they cleaned it every morning, always full of kids with any object: balls, very large lifebuoys and even with mini surfboards, dips from all positions, you have to be careful not you. It is never possible that in the main pool, despite being larger, there are 2 pool attendents who watch in an exceptional way, not letting what happens in the pool of the ALII tower take place, despite the fact that in that tower you pay more for the pool too . I have been going for 8 years and I have been complaining about the same problems for 8 years, so much so that for the next year I will be looking for another hotel. Sin! because I'm in love with Dell Hilton hawaiian village.

Not for everyone. A city inside the city, very very touristy. Someone else called it a mall over a resort, and that I think is the best way to describe it.

A big, busy, beautiful place near the northern end of Waikiki Beach. Rates are typical for this location, which would be high almost anywhere else. The staff was incredibly friendly during our stay, and we would have liked to have stayed another day or two.

We waited almost an hour at check-in and the resort was filled with kids but the accommodations themselves were wonderful. They had gluten free indicators at the restaurant, the pools were nice, it was fairly conveniently located with the big sites downtown.

This hotel is so friendly and busy, lots to do and see, private beach and lagoon. We had a hard time leaving because there was always something going on on the hotel grounds. Lots of great food and shopping. Great pictures of Elvis and other celebrities who have stayed here. Highly recommend to anyone who wants an easy way to enjoy Hawaii without wearing yourself out while on vacation.

I think this is the first negative review I've ever posted. I say that because I usually do research before choosing the hotel we are going to stay at. That said, I trusted the folks from Costco travel and the 4.3 star rating(good reviews) and decided to book a stay.
Upon arrival, we were met with a horrendous check-in line. It had to be over an hour before we finally got to our room. I made a remark about the wait time to the clerk at the front desk and was sold an upgrade to the Ali'i tower for just over $1,000. It was supposed to be a quieter, nicer room, faster service , private pool, etc. Long story short, the wait is still long, no difference in service and nothing warranting any price difference or the upgrade. Others may tell you different, but the staff here has been rude. (Except Diana at the front desk of Ali'i.)
This place is a mad house. There are literally people everywhere. We have left every single day because there is no relaxing here. I don't mind a crowd if it brings the party... but there is no party here. They must be hosting the entire country of China and Japan this week. No I am not prejudiced, but this location seems to attract orientals in large numbers.
Don't valet your car, it takes them 20 minutes each time they go get it ($42/day for valet -$35self park) and the area to valet is always over crowded.
The food is expensive but that is to be expected here in Waikiki. We still have 4 days left and we are moving to turtle bay. I don't even care what the cancellation will be.
NO ROOM SERVICE FOR TWO DAYS! That should be basic, right?
Let me end on a positive note... hm. I can't think of anything.

Hotel was beautiful, but the quality of the catered dinner for the event wasn't great. Food was cheap and cold. 8 people at our table, and only 3 of us were served coffee... They never came back to serve the rest of us... Also the event rooms we're poorly marked... We wandered around looking for the right place for 20 minutes

This is always our favorite place to stay on Oahu. It's close to everything and provides great amenities for the price. Every trip we ponder staying at Aulani but after examining price and proximity always happily book at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. I'd love if there were a few more food options - maybe even a cool tiki bar or something.

Our stay was fun! Although if you don't want to be nickel and dimed for everything then this is not your place. We came with our family and they only allow 2 phones to be connected to WiFi. The cost for things in this resort is overpriced. But the resort itself is clean, check in is well organized. Really you don't even need to leave the area. Pools are great as well. Although the towel rental system is a little rediculous.

This hotel is pretty big and offers all the comfort you are used of when going to Hilton hotels. They have created their own salt water pool that is right at the waterfront but no waves or sharp rocks. They also rent out water toys and paddle boards. Atmosphere is really nice overall and prices ok.

I m a Hilton Diamond member. I ve stayed in hundreds of Hiltons all over the world. This is the WORST. Imagine a run down hotel in the middle of Disney World. This is it. The bed was old, mildewy and the springs were broken. The wood doors are moldy and crumbling. The bathtub and toilet look like they belong in an airport. We were upgraded to a room with the bed right next to the door by elevators. Awful. It does NOT meet Hilton standards.
Upon arrival they offer us a coupon for free water. It takes forever to track down where we actually get them, and they end up being tiny mini-bottles of water. We re also told we get a $40 food credit since they don t have a lounge. Of course, as expected, they didn t apply this credit and we had to call back and haggle. This is after a $40 per-person buffet brunch (yes, $40...unreal) for eggs and bacon. Valet parking is $50 a night...self parking is $43. They nickel-and-dime you for everything. Which is fine if you are staying in a 5-star Waldorf resort (which we did right after this).
The whole area around the hotel is just nasty. It feels like the Vegas Strip with a trashy beach thrown in. Inattentive parents with kids running everywhere. Will never be back to Waikiki again. Just awful.

What a disappointment the Kalia Tower was. Our comforter on our bed was all tattered and had holes in it. The lobby carpet needs to be cleaned. The trellis above the Starbucks has like an inch of dust and such on it. Birds flying around up there knock off the dirt and the dust. All the lobbies are outside where there's no AC. Normally I guess it be okay but while we were there checking in it was 88 degrees and 60% humidity. I lucked out by asking a pre check out person if we could check in cuz we have been waiting for 40 minutes the line only had two people but it just wasn't moving. Thankfully the pre check-in person hooked us up.
