Leased a car here and was helped by Omar in Sales and Justin in Finance. They were both great. Omar understood exactly what I wanted for my car, keeping in touch throughout the whole process. Justin was also fantastic. They both really went out of their way to make it easy for me to lease the car. Would definitely come here again and recommend this to others if they were looking to buy/lease a BMW!
2nd horrible experience with bmw boston never will i bring my car here again took them 3months to tell me about my car and the mangers are not helpful at all someone needs to help this place out possible district manager there is some things going on and advisors are not truthful

My wife brought her car here 3 times to get a side view mirror fixed (each time by appointment) and each time the service center said the part they needed wasn t ready or for some other nonsensical reason the repair couldn t be done that day. This was on top of the fact that we waited for over a month for this part to come in and again it s a side view mirror. Doesn t make much sense. If an appointment is scheduled and for some reason the service center can t complete the repair maybe a phone call to the client would be a simple and well thought out idea. Completely no regard for the customer and honestly it was one moron next to another staring blankly at a computer screen not doing any work. Wow great job BMW!
I have leased a BMW from Herb Chambers for the last 12 years. When I need my car serviced I always use Jim Miscioscia. He makes sure that my needs are met without a lot of wasted time. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
I've been going here over a year now and I have to be completely honest I'll never go back. My 335 has been scratched, dented, and damaged 5 or 6 times at this point. Both of my bumpers have had to be repainted, my back one twice, all four of my tires had to be redone for curb rashing, and then redone again for shoddy repair work that caused them to flake and peel, my hood had to be wetsanded for severe scratches left from washing/ buffing after the front bumper was painted, I have the whole list of lot damage.
The last time I was there they were unable to fix the damage and not only was my car damaged but all three of the cars they pulled down behind me were also dented and scratched, including a brand new 650i coupe with that gentleman threatening to call the police to file a report. Exactly what you want to hear picking up your car and seeing how much that experience costs.
I genuinely feel bad for the service advisors they don't have the resources/ good support staff and space to make it a good experience. I had to keep going because of the proximity to Boston and they got my warranty work approved, plus I liked my SA, James, he was very realistic about what needed to get done and the SM's (Kyle and Matt) were always very nice. I just realized none of that matters because they aren't the techs performing the lackluster work or parking your car like a sardine in the warehouse they keep most of the cars in out back ( I wish I had a picture with me). Listen to me, if you care about your BMW like I love my 335 avoid this place, it's worth the drive to somewhere else. It's always much more likely than not you won't get your car back in the same condition you gave it to them and it's not worth the pain of finding that out.
I had a deal made with a salesman to purchase a car. I went in to pick it up and finish up the paperwork only to find I had no deal. I was a repeat buyer! They started typical car dealer stuff - bait and switch. They wanted me to pay for this then pay for that. I worked most of it out with them. Then they came back one more time with one more thing that should have been done first (valuing my trade in) couldn't work it out, so I left. Wasted so much time. Horrible. I am done with this dealership despite my loyalty to Herb Chambers.
This dealership is great. My service advisor, Nick Mitrano is the single best service advisor I've had at any car dealership. He always goes above and beyond to make sure I'm 100% satisfied with my service. I have and will continue to recommend Herb Chambers to any of my friends and family in the market for new cars. Jason O'Brien was an absolute pleasure to work with. He laid out all our options for what worked best within our budget. He offered many different opportunities, all varying in cost, he wasn't just concerned about making money off of us. He is an honest, reliable professional and I would absolutely refer him to anyone in the area looking to purchase/lease a car!

Bought a certified X1 here, and it was a struggle. Sales was inattentive throughout the process. After we selected the car, there extremely aggressive service package post-sales tactics (so bad that this nearly caused us to cancel the deal). We were told the car had new tires at 26k miles, which was revealed to be a clear lie from the sales department once we received the car with OEM tires. No effort was made to correct this obvious misleading tactic. I would never, ever, recommend this experience and will never buy another car from any Herb Chambers dealership.
Best buying experience I have ever had, but it was distinguished by Steve Burns and the experience after the purchase. Steve drove 40 minutes to get the keys for my trade in from me since I had taken them with me by mistake and I was at my son's lacrosse game. Amazing service and care for customers. I would not only recommend them, but I would also go out of my way to buy from them again.
I am looking for a SUV that I will use it to commute between two cities. When the salesman they assigned to me, Keith, I was happy to talk with him for a little bit. However, when he knew my budget, and what am I looking for, he looked down on me and taught me a lesson. Ridiculous ha? But he did do that. Actually I can bring my budget up if I found some car that I really like. I do not think everyone will buy their cars depends on budget. At least I am not. And I asked him if I can test drive some SUVs today and he refused and told me if people did not have thoughts about what did they really like, it was wasting others time. I feel like I got insults from him. I am going to somewhere else instead, never come back or recommend it friends. Well, since you replied me of the incorrect information I provided. He is definitely is your staff but maybe he works for Honda. When I went into the shop, they told me everyone could help me to find my car and no matter what brand. Maybe you can find him in Honda.

Herb Chambers BMW not only offered a great car buying experience but a great service experience as well. I've had my X1 for two years, and I remain impressed at the service provided by this dealership. I had reached out to Jason O'Brien to ask for help because there was a 'rattle' in the car that was driving me bananas and no one could figure out what it was. He took the car for a spin himself and then had the service manager, Mark Keohane, go for a ride with me too. Mark was also extremely helpful as well and immediately identified the worn out windshield wiper that got a little 'flappy' as the rattling culprit. Mark replaced my wipers right away, I high-fived them both and went on my merry way. Great experience!

I recently bought a certified pre-owned vehicle from this dealership. The friendly salesman, Bryan Pereira, was patient and found the answers to all of my questions regarding the car. He was also very helpful after the sale, and was quick to respond to additional questions I had. About 3 weeks after taking my car home, I brought the car back in for a faulty window actuator, and they replaced it promptly with no issue. Overall, I had a very smooth and pleasant experience, and I would consider HC for my next car.
I have had great experiences with the service team at Herb Chambers BMW. Jim Miscioscia was extremely professional in walking me through all the options for service and repairs on my 2010 328i. I would recommend any BMW owner to use the service team @ BMW Commonwealth.
Purchased a 2013 BMW X6M 5YMGZ0C52D0C40128 and was informed by the sales person, Michael Gioscio that the vehicle was in impeccable condition with the exception of a small imperfection on the rear bumper. Prior to shipping the vehicle to me, the dealer was to install the 3M Clear shield and burned through the paint. The shop was to repaint the the front quarter panel but did such a poor job: signs of overspray, paint runs and color mismatch. In addition, the vehicle arrived damaged with scratches to the rear passenger door and door handle. The rear wheel was dented and wobbles when driven. The dealership is not honest and I would never recommend them to anyone. I was hoping to purchase my 4th BMW but the entire ordeal became such a nightmare. I am still fighting to get my deposit back and the dealership is already trying to sell this vehicle once more. I had also opened a complaint on the BBB. Dishonesty is redefined with these people and a disgrace to the brand.
BMW NA rewinded the entire process and any money paid. The dealership however lied to me that the wheel/tire protection package was not refundable because it was already paid for and will remain with the vehicle... I asked the obvious question: Would the new buyer inherit the protection package? The Sales Manager Aaron Allsopp then told me in the same breath that the next buyer would also have to pay for the plan. I told them that they are wrong and that are trying to double dip. I was also told that the comprehensive maintenance plan was not refundable in addition to the registration/taxes paid. The dealership was telling me that I owed them in excess of $13000... I called BMW NA and was told that the wheel tire package and the maintenance plan was 100% refundable. I spoke with the DMV and was told that there is a 90 day period to apply for the registration/tax refund from the state... I have caught the dealership in this lie and am trying to warn any other potential buyers to stay away from this vehicle/dealership. I am still awaiting for my deposit to be returned to me and yet this dealership is already trying to sell the vehicle once again... shameful act. The best BMW dealer, and service provider in town. I have a BMW X5. The car has been maintained at Herb Chambers BMW of Boston since I purchase the car. Every time I have a problem with my X5, I go to Herb Chamber BMW of Boston. They provide me with excelent customer service; not to mention the loaner car they provide me untill the service on my car is done. The customer service provided by the Service Director (Matt Krappe) is eceptional! Herb Chambers BMW Boston delivered my car without the required Rhode Island state inspection sticker which has resulted in having the registration suspended before we made our second payment. The response from Aaron (General Manager?) was that we should have known to have that done (blame the consumer - great strategy). #negligence and utter #incompetence. I expected more than amateur horse-play from Herb Chambers.
Although, it should be noted - Aaron offered to reimburse me for my expenses (inspection sticker, tow). He'll also be receiving a bill for the time I've wasted doing their job.
This was by far the best car buying experience I've ever experienced! Our client advisor Jim MacKenzie was exceptional!!! His knowledge, patience and understanding was outstanding. He went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and that everything was done in a timely manner. We were kept updated every step of the way. Called into BMW to investigate packages and some other questions I had regarding used M3s as I had been looking to purchase one but could not find answers to some of my questions. By the end of the phone call with Chris S. from the Genius sector of BMW I knew more than any of the used car dealers who were trying to sell me the car. He was extremely helpful and actually spent just over 56 minutes on the phone with me explaining all the differences between 2 doors and 4 doors, the differences in the years ranging all the way from 2008-2011 and some discussion of current differences with the newer ones. Chris knew all the packages from all the difference years and the differences between them. From which seats are more durable but which are more comfortable, to the peripheral vision differences in 2 doors to 4 doors to the differences of the tech package on the 2008 or 2010 and the rear bumpers of the 2008 vs 2011.. I could go on and on. Chris was EXTREMELY knowledgable and after the phone call I am now completely comfortable purchasing a M3 knowing exactly what I will be gaining and losing with various years/models/packages. I had rough start with dealership, but Melissa (GM) was so helpful. She called and discussed with me on the options. I then worked with Jona and Nick, they are amazing. Finally i got my first BMW with Herbs.
Herbs is fixed on price but very reasonable. My recommendation is about check this place once before you buy from any dealers.

I traded my 2010 BMW 528i with 2016 528i. The sales person, Omar, impressed me with his knowledge of the car and his professionalism. I must say, it is very hard for me to write reviews at all, but this one was worth it. I had a 2008 328XI 6 speed standard and decided it was time to upgrade. I walked in on a Monday night with my fiance, we looked through all 3 floors for a little bit, we got in touch with Zach one of the new salesman that was promoted from a BMW Genius. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable (especially in areas and/or features about a BMW that I didn't know about which is hard because I thought I knew everything there was to know about them ;) ), and patient.
There was no sense of urgency to buy anything, I had some small talk with him in regards to what I have now, what I want, what I like, etc. Went downstairs to his desk and went over financials, etc. Told him that it would be months before I bought anything (probably end of year actually). He showed me the 428i 2015 Gran Coupe that I had my eyes on for awhile. Gorgeous Alpine white with Black and red sport leather and black detail FULLY loaded, every package imaginable.
He wrote me an email later that night saying if I needed anything else to let him know, etc. This was all on Monday. I took 1 day to think about it, and don't know what it was but I returned on Wednesday and bought it. =O
The whole financial and purchasing process, from soup to nuts was extraordinary, easy to understand, etc. We did the test drive that day, (yes I got to see the motherload of their M inventory in the secret garage.... *drools*) I was very pleased with the test drive as it had everything I wanted and was a great drive. At first I told him I didn't want the run flat tires on because my current car had 16" wheel base and every bump even small ones was like you were ejecting from a space ship. He asked why and I told him, he assured me that with the new 18" wheel base with the new run flats have evolved quite a bit. I trust him, and felt the smooth ride.
The whole process took 7 days. Monday I looked, following Monday (55K later) I drove away, new car, transferred plates, new insurance, the whole gig.
This place is great, anyone that needs assistance should come here I even brought my old 2008 here several times for some serious work and they are great. I was also Zach's first sale!
Today, I tried launch control as well (for anyone that thinks they know everything about BMW ; ) )

We wish to comment on the outstanding services and professionalism that we experienced in the last 6 months at Herb Chambers BMW of Boston. We met Nick Lagas through recommendation of work colleagues. We don't have time to shop around, compare prices vs features. With all the mediocre press about car dealers, we went to Herb Chambers BMW (Commonwealth Ave) with some skepticism. To our pleasant surprise, this is not just your usual car shop! Melissa Steffy, the General Manager, runs a tight neat and highly professional organization there! She is full of smiles, very upbeat, extraordinarily bright, and yet friendly & down-to-earth to all her customers. We observe how pleasantly she interacts with her clients and her staff members. Melissa sets a exemplary role model to shape the corporate culture of her company. Wow, Nick is not your regular car dealer (client adviser/manager). He pays attention to what you, the customer needs and likes, and has an exquisite instincts in connecting with you: he gets right to the point without spending the extra hours to beat around the bushes like other client advisers/managers. He gives you the impression that "customer is always right, because they know what they like and what they are looking for. I am here to help them understand the potential options that fit their needs and maybe an alternative or two that might serve their needs even better which they might not be aware of". We bought a 2015 BMW X3 iDrive towards the end of 2014 from Nick and was very satisfied about his professionalism. We traded in our old Honda Pilot with him without hassle. We are so busy that we could not make appt with Nick during the 9-5 working hours and had to pick up X3 iDrive around 7:30pm at night. Nick took his time in showing my husband how to use all the gadgets of the new car, was very patient about our silly questions (we are not very techy people!). When I needed to replace my 4-door sedan two weeks ago, I emailed him for his advice and did not do any online search at all (as we did when we were looking to replace our Honda Pilot). He got back to me right away, as he did at our last purchase, and tried to understand what i am looking for. He recommended BMW 328i Sport Line with accessory features. We stopped by his office and he showed us a few additional options on his computer, vs prices. We test drove 15-20min of a BMW328i floor model, signed paper work with his business office shortly after, with a great price (and no negotiation, as we all know that we can find true car prices online these days). In addition, we were delighted that Nick had his staff do a quick check of our BMW X3 iDrive fluid + completed a body wash, at the same time when we were shopping for the new sedan in his office. We realize that working with this BMW dealer is not just buying a car but also entering a service to keep our cars running smoothly and reliably. We bought 2 new 2015 BMWs from Nick within 6 mos. We are extremely pleased and will definitely recommend our friends and family to go to Herb Chambers and work with him again. (and Melissa, the General Manager, is just fantastic!)

I purchased a certified M235i from Herb Chambers BMW of Boston last week, and after just driving around pretty much the whole weekend I feel ready to write a review.
I found the car on autotrader last Wednesday afternoon gave Herb BMW a call to see if I could come take a look at it. Everyone I talked to over the phone was super helpful and got me scheduled to check out the car that night. I showed up during rush-hour, and parking surprisingly wasn't that bad. There were plenty of meters, but they still offered to valet my car, which could be very helpful in that area. Long story short, I drove the car, loved it, and then ended up taking it home the next day.
Buying the car was an overall very quick and easy process thanks to Ahmed in sales, Adam in finance, and also Jason and Melissa in management . They were all super helpful and got me a good trade in value, and a fair price on the M235i. I'm very happy with my purchase from Herb BMW and will be bringing the car to them for service as well.
Nice place, nice environment, terrible oriental carpet-seller bargaining methods. Did not give trust for business and we walked out to buy somethingelse.

I don t typically write reviews but I had such a great experience at Herb Chambers BMW Boston that I felt compelled.
My client advisor Ahmed was beyond professional, courteous, and empathetic. He answered all my questions, always made himself available, and generally made the car selection process much easier. I had a very specific vehicle in mind and Ahmed helped me get just what I wanted. And despite the fact I was buying a certified preowned X5, Ahmed made me feel like I was buying a brand new M5. Cannot recommend Ahmed or the dealership enough.
What s more, I called to leave a message for the general manager, Melissa, and much to my surprise she answered. Not only did she courteously listen to my experience with Ahmed, she engaged me in a conversation around advertising and marketing, my career, which I was very impressed by. All in all this dealership is a world-class outfit and I would recommend them to anyone in the market for a BMW.
I wish I did not have to replace my 2 front tires before finishing my lease with under 20,000 miles. But the experience was positive. Everyone was helpful, friendly and made it pleasant. Great service.
You expect you would getting grade A service but it turns out you won t be. Spent close to 4K within a week at this dealership.Left the dealership with a rattling noise in my engine went back in my service tech, he told me nothing was wrong and they ran a diagnosis and my car was fine so I left. The next day it s raining and I turn on my windshield wipers and it turns out the other wiper blade was stuck inside my engine. Now I have a cracked windshield due to there negligence but according to them they never touched it......even though I took my car in for a detail treatment the day before.
