Harvey Building Products Review

We purchased Harvey wood windows about 15 years ago and have had very few problems since. Recently a tree took out a window from a severe storm. I ordered a new one but they sent us the wrong model. Amanda, our go to person, immediately rectified the problem, ordered us the correct model (that was no longer available so it was truly custom) and put a rush on it. She was a pleasure to work with and kept us constantly updated. I would recommend Harvey windows for their quality and service. Couldn t ask for better!

I had my Harvey replacement windows installed about 9 years ago and I am very happy with them. Just recently I had a couple of them fail. I contacted Harvey and they replaced the failed sashes within 5 weeks. That s great customer service.

I have a few different brands of replacement windows in my home. My Harvey's are my favorite for the ease of washing...easiest by far to drop in, lift etc. Well, that's why they were my favorite until recently, while washing my 18 year old Harvey window, something went boiinngg! Oh no, I thought, my window broke. Ugh!
I called Harvey and was unable to explain exactly what went wrong because I don't speak "window"! But the kindest man spent 20 minutes on the phone with me talking me through removing the window (the "sash" for those in the know) and identifying the problem. The rep reminded me that they'd be happy to arrange service call but it was a little pricey - and he believed I could manage the repair.
The parts arrived and I was immediately overwhelmed. Called Harvey again. Another kind and patient man listened to my story and directed me to video's on their site which would guide me through the repair. Well I avoided those videos for 2 weeks...overwhelmed, intimidated and resigning myself to the service fee for having a tech come out and do the repair. Then, on a Saturday morning, I watched two 2 1/2 minute videos, removed the sash, removed the old pivot bar, replaced with the new pivot bar provided and replaced the sash.
I couldn't get online fast enough to rave about this product but more importantly, this company. 18 year old Harvey's...they could have easily talked me into a service call but instead, talked me through a free and yes, easy, repair!

I had requested some details about the thermal specs of an installed window type recently. I gave the cust. service person the product and package number I found on the window label and got the specs quickly thereafter. Really helpful, Thank you.

Harvey really stands behind their products. There customer service is excellent, some of the best I have ever experienced. Amanda in particular did a great job in following up and making sure I received the correct replacement parts and was always very quick to respond and pleasant to work with.

I ordered an almond screen door, I believe in March or April of 2020, and 3 times, the incorrect color was sent to me. I was extremely frustrated, but a wonderful woman by the name of Maria was determined to make it right. It took, I believe, 5 months, but she stuck to her word. She made it a point to make sure it was corrected and I was satisfied. Even though there were issues, Maria and her supervisor made it right. I am extremely appreciative of all their efforts and I am satisfied by the product. I would buy from them again!

Harvey was incredibly accommodating based on my window needs. Customer service was quick to respond with top notch level of professionalism. I'm a very satisfied Harvey customer.

Not a big fan of this company as I installed their Acoustical Windows in my home in the hope of reducing outside noise levels, but the windows did very little if anything in addressing that problem. When I reached out to the company directly I was told that the windows only work in conjunction with other sound proofing measures, and in fact should be your last resort with such a project. This was told to me by the companies technical director who later informed me he was not allowed to discuss the matter with me further. Now doesn't that sound a little suspicious? Bottom line is these windows don't work and in hindsight I really not sure it was a wise decision to invest the money in replacing my Anderson windows with Harvey Windows. To make matters worse, I recently tried to contact customer service by both e-mail and voice mail and never recieved a response. Apparently the company has been sold and is in total disarray. So a word to the wise, I would be hesitant to go with these windows for the time being, and definitely don't waste your money on the accoustical windows.

Kenneth at Harvey was excellent. I informed him of my problem, provided the information that he requested and he was able to inform me about the process and the fact that my windows were under warranty! He was quick and professional. I was very pleased by my interaction, and it reinforces my decision to go with their excellent window products.

I called Harvey Building products about a sash alignment issue. Ryan assisted me. He was friendly, polite, and very competent. The issue was resolved with one phone call. I will always recommend Harvey BP-outstanding products & outstanding technical support!

We replaced 29 windows in our old house 14 years ago and they made a big difference. Recently i noticed 4 of the sashes had lost their seal and were cloudy. On a whim i checked the website and discovered they were still under warranty, so i contacted them about the problems. Jennifer in Customer Service was very helpful with my claim and walked me through the process of finding the manufacturing information i needed to have free replacements made for me. It's nice to know Harvey stands by it's promises.

A while back I had a local contractor install 7 Harvey replacement windows, In the process of changing the curtains we noticed that there was a defect in the aluminum frame that supports the glass in the vinyl frame. I contacted Harvey Customer Support on line and filled out a detailed form with all per-tenant information regarding the window along with a photo. A few short time later I received an e-mail from Amanda Sciuto in Customer support . She had pulled up my file and after a few exchanges made a call to the local distributor. Bottom line a new sash will be sent directly to my home. I can't say enough good things about Harvey in general. The windows are great and the Customer Support is top notch.

Great Company to work with. My Harvey windows are some 25 years old and 4 sashes showed signs of humidity in between the panes of glass. I reached out to Harvey Windows who immediately replaced the sashes for the price of shipping.
During Shipping one of the sashes was broken. I reached out to Amanda at HArvey. She's putting a rush on the one sash to see if they can turn it around in a week.
I told her:
"You guys are the best company to deal with.
And I especially appreciate your efforts to Fix the Problem . This mishap was totally outside your control, but your taking responsibility and immediate action is to be admired greatly. You are a role model to be followed by all companies including my own!"

Had an absolutely terrible experience with Harvey. They promised to deliver great windows, but instead they delivered overstock they were trying to get rid of. The windows are do hard to open and close, they're cheap looking and lack quality. They tried to come back to adjust the weights, but nothing worked. Now I'm having to spend double the money to go with Pella or something more reputable. The warranty means nothing and the window stoppers are already falling off... Recommend not buying from them.

We had Harvey vinyl replacement windows installed in our 1800's house in 2002 and have not regretted it once since. We never needed their generous warranty, but 17 years after install we found ourselves wanting to replace a few sashes where the seals had leaked and allowed some frosting inside the glass sandwich. The customer support team could not have been more responsive and considerate. They walked us through the process and reacted immediately when FedEx lost one of the shipments.

I called Harvey Building Products because a slider that had been installed at our Condo was only 4 years old, and during the winter the seal had been compromised. The Management Co. wasn't sure of the warranty, so knowing from past experience with Harvey, when we had a home, I took it upon myself to call the Nashua, NH store that we had dealt with. LUCKY for me - Jennifer Arraji was the one that answered the phone. She told me how to find the sticker on the slider to give her the information, and with that info. she was able to tell me that the glass warranty was 100% for 10 years, and then it would be adjusted after that. Since we were within the 10 yr. period, she walked me through the procedure to get the glass sent to the nearest Harvey Warehouse to the Glass Co. that was going to install the new panel. If every Company had a lady like Jennifer to help their clients, it would be a wonderful world - but that's not always the case. Harvey Building Products is VERY FORTUNATE to have someone as efficient, and yet helpful to clients, as Harvey in Nashua, NH is with Jennifer to represent them. By any objective measure - Jennifer passed the customer satisfaction test - beyond our expectations.

The windows will keep the draft from coming in & over all the house windows are nice. The issue I have is the slider the door is not as easy to open as my prior door I had. The Harvey customer service is good & they sent out a technician and replaced the wheels and checked the door. I still feel the door is not as easy to open. My other windows are great but that slider really needs to be easier to open. It must be the heaviness and insulation of the slider that maybe causing this issue.

Extremely happy with the customer service. They make everything easy and efficient. I was procrastinating getting a window replaced thinking it would take forever to get through to the right person, get measurements, invoice numbers, etc. It literally took 5 minutes. All the info is right where you need it and the staff is very helpful.

I had a problem with my Harvey sliding windows. They sent out a very knowledgeable service technician who repaired my windows to the best of his ability. The problem that I have had was caused by a poor installation by the contractor who installed them which was quite awhile ago. Harvey stood by their product and did the best that they could to correct the problem. I should of made sure they worked properly from when they were first installed instead of living with a small flaw that kept getting worse. I found that Harvey stands behind their product and helped me by doing the best that they could to correct the problem. I was very satisfied with what they did for me.

The technician sent to fix my new screens was great. He was efficient and courteous.

Customer service was great once I contacted them directly instead of the local Harvey dealer. Denis, Chris and Laurie were right on the job since this was a QC problem right from installation. David Lesage came to review the patio door and identified the problem and went right to work to fix it. It's perfect now and we love the Harvey Tribute and would recommend it to anyone. Our neighbor is getting a new patio door based on our recommendation and review of our door once David fixed it. We installed these new construction doors based on a neighbor also. What goes around comes around and Harvey Tribute is going around in our neighborhood and customer service is right on. Thanks much.

We ordered over ten windows through Harvey in July. One window came damaged so we were told we would get a replacement window sent out. (After being told we had to pay shipping even though it was sent to us broken). Since then, we haven t been able to get a hold of ANYONE to tell us when this window on order is being delivered. The contact at Harvey has completely Ignored any and all emails. We sit on customer service hold for hours.

It would be great if someone could actually help us....

Over the weekend, I noticed that one of the sashes on a Harvey window had lost its' seal and was fogged over. This has happened before. I took a picture of the manufacturing label on the window to get all the information required to make a warranty claim, and submitted it to Harvey at 2:00 this afternoon. By 3:00, I received an email from Kenneth LaBonville informing me that the warranty claim had been processed and that I would be receiving a new sash in 2-3 weeks.
I would call that exceptional customer service.

Quick response, great customer service. Inquired about a replacement part, and item shipped in a day, and I was only charged for shipping. Excellent experience!

Harvey is a great company. Their windows and doors would be my first choice after my experiences with their products and outstanding service. The technician came today and was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. He performed his own evaluation, looked at photos and did more work than what was on the initial service order. He found issues that he questioned and took care of them to ensure the best possible result. He went above and beyond and I am very grateful.
I had Harvey windows in my last home and at that time I had the same fantastic experience when a window was broken and needed to be replaced. It s all about the service. My technician today was great!!!

The service tech Jeff was great. He was right on time and called 30 minutes in advance. He really took the time to figure out what was causing the problem with my front door that kept leaking. Great experience hopfully solves the problem for good.

I know vinyl windows having worked at a certain teed plant for many years. I've had Harvey windows in my home since 2002 and the quality is top-notch and the customer service is as well!

Customer service was outstanding. Called for replacement parts and warranty inquiry. Customer service representative was more than helpful and went out of their way to accommodate my requests for information.

Our Technician was on time and very nice. He looked over the problem, told us how he was going to make the repair to our patio door and did exactly what he told us. The replacement door was installed in less time than we thought. A great job. Thanks, Eric.

Pretty disappointed in the customer service thus far. I sent a warranty request to the main field service team on Sept 24th. The request included all of the require information. I received the obligatory confirmation email including the "someone will reach out to you shortly" comment. It is now more than 2 weeks with no call. I have called the service number and left 2 messages over the past week. My 3rd call has now been "waiting for the next representative" for 47 minutes.Great products - I have purchase more than 40 replacement windows - horrendous, infuriating and disappointing service.

Customer service was exceptional! I called about a window that had a fog between the panes and I was assisted right away.
James told me how to find the order # on the window and the rest was simple. Now I'm just waiting for the replacement to come in!

I have a home that is 15 years old and emailed to Harvey and received a message back very quickly ready to help. I was able to send a picture of the part I required and the associate was able to identify the part and order several for me. Thanks for the great service.

Working with the Harvey Building Products is a breeze. I needed a replacement window and called the company and talked with Bill Clark. He was very knowledgeable and super friendly while helping me with my window replacement. I would recommend this company that stands by their warranties.

All the windows were trimmed with picture framed add on and they look fantastic.
We plan on a major renovation in the spring and plan on using Harvey again.

It took a bit to connect with them, but once I did, great service from Harvey BP. 2nd time in 24 years I've needed parts, and both times they came through!

My service visit from Hector was outstanding - efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. My telephone customer service from Rachel was similarly responsive and informative. This appears to be a company that makes it a policy to address its customers' needs. How good is that?

Fantastic and knowledgeable experience.. Jeffrey Thompson, our field service tech was just fantastic, knowledgeable and explained things to me easily, even I could understand!! He let me take a video of him fixing the window, which didn t even need replacement parts it was the way I was handling the windows, so in the future I knew what to do if it happened again. I personally recommend Harvey windows to anyone that I can. Being an owner of a construction company and building both residential and commercial buildings for over 45 years one gets to appreciate craftsmanship and great customer service; Harvey Windows has both.

Window Screen Replacement
Amazing service.
Problem: A number of my window screens are in need of replacement. The windows were installed by a prior owner -- at least 20 years before... (and I didn't know make/model...anything.)
Research of the window design (on YouTube) led me to Harvey's.

The rep at Harvey's pointed me to where the ID information would be on the installed units and I was able to provide details on the order. To my surprise and delight, they still had the original window order in their system from the prior home owner... from 1993. (!)

I ordered a "test" screen -- to see how it would work. The rep advised that the design had changed since then, but, with the specific order info, the fit should be fine.
Result: A perfect fit -- and this is for a classic "This Old House" where standard measurements are not exactly standard, and I couldn't say how many different sizes of window I have. Let's just say... many.

The whole experience was positive end to end (from initial call to pick up). I did feel a little silly going to the loading dock to pick up my one little screen, but I will happily be going back for more.

Related note: the original window units themselves (all double pane, tilt in), are in great shape, over 25 years later...

I was in a bind to get a replacement window and I spoke to Rachel. She was wonderful in getting the replacement to me quickly.

Bought windows back in 1993, when my first child was born. The windows themselves are still in great shape but the hardware and gaskets are worn. Called and they still stock the needed supplies to refresh these windows and they saved me the cost of new windows. Thank you Harvey!

We have had lots of Harvey windows for a long time. When one of the sashes came off its track during cleaning, I phoned the company. A very knowledgeable and friendly customer service person provided a video of how to fix the problem and personally walked us through how to raise the terminal housing back to the proper position and replace the sash successfully. He stayed on the line and was there to proffer good advice throughout the process. I felt very well cared for and was very glad to get the window properly closed against the winter weather.

Wonderful customer service! I needed a replacement sash for a 15 year old window. Chris guided me to what I needed based on the label on the window, emailed to me a reasonable quote within 30 minutes, and then placed the order. He could not have been nicer or more helpful. And, moreover, I'm very happy with my Harvey sliding windows. They are still good as new.

I have been dealing with Harvey Industries since approximately 1995 and I have no complaints with the company. The staff through the years have always been nice to deal with as well as the sales reps.

Service Department was exceptional. Directed me to their website to the appropriate video, but stayed on the phone while I reinstalled the cover which had come loose. Didn't mind at all that I was a complete KLUTZ!. Really rare to get such great service.

Doors and service outstanding. Had 4 doors installed (14 panels - 2x3 and 2x4) several years ago and just noticed an issue with the seal around the glass on one door, then spotted another with the same issue. The Tech came and discovered we had an issue with all 14. Today, under warranty, all were replaced in a half a day by two of the best guys you'd ever want to meet. Yes, we had an issue, but the issue was resolved and taken care of. When our windows need replacing, guess who we're going to call.

Recently I needed to replace the window sash of 2 Harvey windows that were more than 15 years old. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were still able to manufacture replacements for a nominal charge. These windows look like new even after all these years.

The condo unit we moved into had a foggy looking window so I called Harvey, spoke to an amazing person who immediately assured me the window was under warranty, he ordered it and said we should be called within a few weeks to replace the window! Amazingly simple, amazing professional and friendly service person! Wow!

Purchased a few of their windows a around 2005. Had an issue with one of them recently, called up and received a quick and friendly resolution. Will definitely use them and their products in the future.

I thought the warranty coverage was reasonable cost as the windows are no longer manufactured by Harvey. Although only glass was needed as frame OK.
I have many Harvey windows installed throughout my home and glad they stand behind their products.

Having just moved in and found a couple of windows where the seal had broken and the windows fogged up I looked at Harvey s website and was able to find exactly what I needed. Looking through the warranty section I sent the required information and worked with Harvey to get things taken care. They were easy to work with and stand by their products 100%. I would use Harvey again for any future plans.

Someone from Harvey came out to do a quick job for glass installation on a door. They were on time, polite and very efficient. He gave advice on how the door could be installed more securely and get a better fit. He made sure to cover his shoes and was considerate in our space. Overall we had a great experience.

My wife and I replaced our windows with Harvey Products. Their designs are great and their customer service is excellent.
