I had a pleasant experience buying a car from Galles Chevrolet. Steven Gallegos was my sales person. Most of the sale was worked out over the phone. There were no surprises. When I came to pick up the car all I had to do was sign the paper work and drive off. Over all it was a good experience.

had appointment to see specific car, was not told that the car we test drove (and i ended up purchasing) was not the same car. dealer telling features to me that weren't even on the model i purchased. after paperwork signed, i was given window sticker (not available to me previously) and had paid 2000 over sticker price. i should have done more homework before this because i feel was taken advantage of, and should have avoided this place. after returning with my complaints, they took off $700 and refunded the extended warranty of $2500. it was definitely a learning experience, and i'm sure this could happen at any dealership. a word of advice: do your homework and ask LOTS of questions before you buy!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Salesman Jesse was extremely rude and tried talking us into a truck that we didn t want and kept saying sarcastic comments to my family. Had spoken to Felicia who stated she would take care of us. But did not instead she passed us on to the worst salesman ever!! We will be taking our business to Quality where the staff is professional and respectful. Will not return to Galles nor will we ever recommend them or the service department.

This Chevy dealer is incredible!! We had our rims and tires stolen off our Tahoe in the parking lot of holiday inn off of sun port place. FYI that hotel management offered us free bottle water in light of the $3,500 loss. Galles Chevrolet sent over a tow truck and ordered replacement rims and tires. Extremely professional and they really seemed to care about our situation. Thanks so much Galles!! And if you want the same kind of service ask for Christopher Ortega!!!

The salesman Frankie went above and beyond to ensure I had the right truck at the right price. My trade in and buying process was smooth and comfortable. Had a blow out on back passenger tire on Friday night, since i purchased the tire warranty I had it towed to the dealership and had a friend come and pick me up. They sales office was technically closed but they helped me get a service envelope and showing me the process. The next morning the service department called and asked if I wanted to repair the tire or replace, I said I would leave it to them. They called me later and said the car was ready, informed me that since my purchase was so recent my warranty had not been filed so they replace the tire and would file it at a later date at no charge to me. Awesome service

I dropped my vehicle off on Monday for my appointment scheduled Tuesday. I was supposed to receive a call Tuesday. Nobody called. I called Wednesday and sat on hold until I had to hang up. I called again Wednesday and was told I would get a call back, but nobody ever did. This customer service experience is terrible and unfortunately I can't go to the dealership to deal with them direct as they have my vehicle and I can not make the trip on my lunch break by taking a bus.

I had an appointment they called me to confirm it and they knew that I was traveling from Santa Fe to Albuquerque they already knew from the truck that I was going and when I arrived they had only one and it was not inspected to drive it and they wanted all the paperwork done if I drove the truck and What do you think is 5 dollars that you are spending? It is a truck of 50 thousand dollars. They are anincompetent dealer and without professionalism.

Galles team pulled off a perfect sale for me, who was from out of state, all the while having to abide by covid-19 rules set by the New Mexico governor. I am completely blown away at the efficiency that was provided to me by Matt, Brenda and Juan! Brenda was the person that I worked with the most and she was such a great host and very professional . I can't say thank you enough! Matt had to provide me with three different quotes based on my inability to decide exactly what I wanted. He did it with professionalism and efficiency! Juan knew his numbers and was able to provide me with exactly what I needed! I don't know that I've ever run into such a great group of people at a dealership?? I have bought three Silverado Duramax's in the last 4 years and this was my most pleasant experience of them all! Thank you Galles Chevrolet!!!

Great Service, Mike Cottone was a god send! On our road trip home for Christmas the transmission in our 2018 Chevy Suburban went out. When we arrived at Galles Mike jumped into action to expedite the parts required to get us back on the road, worked to ensure the repair was covered by the extended warranty, and arrange transportation for us (even ensured it accommodated our dog). The repair was extremely fast but Mike ensured we were informed every step of the way. Amazingly we were back on the road the next day. Yes they actually put in a new transmission in less than 24 hours!!! Needless to say Mike's fast response to addressing our repair was instrumental in us making it home in time for the Holidays. We are grateful to Galles Chevrolet and Mike for all they did to help us get back on the road.

I went to Gallas on the 5th and purchased the awesome 2021 Camaro SS. Let me tell you Omar and Spencer are the best, hardest working employees there! Gallas is VERY lucky to have those two. They didn t stop working until they got me into the vehicle I wanted. I wouldn t recommend anyone else in the country other then those two they both get 100/100 score I ll definitely be coming back to them and spreading the word how awesome they are thanks Spencer and Omar!!

Very poor customer service in the Service Dep. Lady at check in, Jeannette has zero professionalism. Other ladies are total opposite and are very nice. Mechanics at this location have no idea what they are doing. They are just playing a guessing game on what is wrong with the vehicle. Very disappointing.

Kuddos to Mr. M Cottone! in my quest for nitrogen, Mr. Cottone taking the time in my unscheduled visit to Galles locating a piece of metal in tire and having nitrogen. Upon visiting another Chevy dealership (sadly no nitrogen) they did exam my tire and found nothing. Gallas and Mr. M Cottone is our new dealership for all needs.

We just moved to New Mexico and I have had the engine light come on in my new Chevy Colorado (12,000 miles). I took it to Galles to get it fixed. I also needed an oil change and I wanted a GPS update. Marco was my service advisor, he did not keep me informed as to the status of my truck, but I got a call it was ready. He was gone home when I arrived, so I had to pick up my keys at the cashier. The problem was that my tires weren't rotated, the note said that they couldn't find the key. They didn't even call and ask, if they had it was in the glove box. They also didn't update the GPS. The lady at the cashier said she couldn't address those issues. It lasted exactly two days and the check engine light was back on. I called Marco and he arranged for a rental and I dropped off my truck again. This time they had it for over a week. I finally called on Wed to check on the status and Marco told me that they didn't know what was wrong and would keep me in formed. He did not keep me informed, instead I had to call him again. He told me that I could pick up the care the next day. No explanation as to what the problem was, just that it was fixed, (and again no tire rotation or GPS update). Now, two weeks later the check engine light is back on. I called Marco, he scheduled an appointment for today and told me I would have a rental ready. I arrived to find that Marco was no longer with Galles, and that I didn't have a rental reserved. I couldn't stay all day so the service advisor said she would call me when a rental is available. No apology, and very little concern. It seems like they could have taken the time to call and let me know about my service advisor. Instead, they contacted me the day before and asked if I wanted to trade in my new truck for another new truck. WTH? I told them I simply wanted my new truck fixed. I am not sure what I have done, I am trying to give Galles my business but it seems like they don't really want it. We'll see if they call me back when a rental is available. The jury is still out. Marco was not a great advisor so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. This is my very first Chevy...not sure I'd purchase another.

Customer service is subjective and if you bring the right attitude it will be met by the right attitude - otherwise take it to a Ford dealership. Clint Loveman is the go-to for all your car dealership needs! Very quick and efficient service.

Service department is always a great experience! I didn t purchase my current vehicle @ Galles, but I still use their great establishment from past experiences with a vehicle I purchase here in 2013. I ve used the service department 4 times in the past few weeks, and every time Michael Cottone always makes sure my customer experience is great from start to finish. From placing a loaner on hold for me, to giving updates on the progress of work/repairs. Courteous and polite! The ladies that check you in/out are also fantastic! Making sure I get a loaner that fits my needs with my 4 kids and making the transition into my loaner flawless.

Bought a car from Galles. Worst decision I've ever made. Sold me a car worth $3,000 for over $20,000. Now I am stuck with a recalled car that is having so many problems and I cannot get rid of it. I wish I would've gone somewhere else. They hid all these details until I drive off the lot. They salesman texted me just for fun later on. I called for services and the lady was rude and rushed me when I had questions. Wouldn't recommend at all.

I have never heard of that I tried to talk to the service manager but he never seemed to be there at least that's what they told me. Funny thing is that I tool my vehicle there 3 weeks ago for a filter change. They have lost my business I will never go there again..AVOID!!!!

The purchase of my new vehicle from your dealership was a pleasure compared to past purchases from other dealerships. No high pressure sales, No long waiting times between offers, knowledgeable staff. Brandon Lucero was a pleasure to work with. From the beginning to the end was approximately 2.5 hrs compared to other dealerships that I have done business before usually clocking at 4-6 hrs.
I certainly will consider buying another auto from Galles Chevy in the future, something I have never said about another dealership in the past.

I bought my wife a 2017 Chevy Sonic. This is her new first car, she loves it! The car is safe for my children as it is equipped with 10 airbags, comfortable seating for the whole family and has amazed me from the start. It came with remote start, key less fob entry and I opted to get the windows tinted. It looks sharp! The screen projector that the vehicle is equipped with utilizes Google, its mapping system, voice activated text, calls and will play music when prompted. Thanks to Lee, Brian, Ken and the great pricing and treating me so well!!

They completed the job in the two hours they had previously quoted and returned my car freshly washed, which was a pleasant surprise. We will recommend this dealership but with a cavea...

We will recommend this dealership but with a caveat. There was no high pressure as with other dealerships but we found that they weren't very forthcoming with ALL the information needed to make an informed decision. As a result we have put out money that we were promised to be reimbursed as soon as we presented them with an invoice only to be told when we presented said invoice that we had to wait for a few days. We had even called prior to laying out the funds to be sure. Also found our car listed the day after we purchased it on their website for $1,000 less than what they sold it to us for, this information was not available the evening prior. There were also a couple of other small inconsistencies that we later learned not to be the case but ended up cost us more than what we had originally planned on spending. We live approx an hour out of town so to be told one price over the phone, agree to it and then drive all the way into town to find out that the price/payment was $50.00 higher each time got really old.
Therefore should you decide to do business with them, check everything and ask a lot of questions to be sure you're getting what you want.

Thanks for taking advantage of me, I was told the dealership was willing.to give me the parts.i.needed to fix my car, but I.would still need them to.fix my.ignition, 1000 dollars.later I.find.out they charge over 100 dollars an.hour for labor... Thanks now I'm losing my home to.payfor this.. I'm super unhappy and you'd think they would at least have changed my oil or something, nope nothing. Who cares though right. I strongly advise against purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. My husband purchased a vehicle from them and they failed to communicate with him several times that the financing was not completed. We only found that out after several document submissions that the financing was still not completed when we tried making our first payment. On that day they assured us that they would submit the paperwork and they could submit our first payment. Huge mistake!!! They took our payment in June, my husband did get a call that financing went through but that he was delinquent on his first payment that he GAVE TO Galles. After they admitted to NOT submitting the payment after a month, and gave a lame apology, the first payment still hasn't been made and now it's August!!! With the way Covid has affected everyone these days I don't think anyone has money to lose or burn. This company should be ashamed of themselves and how they handle business!!!

I made the mistake of recommending this dealership to a friend who has had nothing but problems. They've had his vehicle for several weeks when they should have had him ready to go in less than a week, at the most. They've charged for items that they never installed. The service writer is not so familiar with telling the truth.
I work in tourism & well never recommend this company to anyone local or not.

Darren Russell, the INCOMPETENT & IGNORANT Sales manager was extremely rude, confrontational, insulting, and just all around a total jerk! HE MADE THE POOR NEW SALESBOY SO NERVOUS THAT THE YOUNG MAN WAS SWEATING AND HE TOLD US HE WAS AFRAID OF DARREN, THAT HE MADE HIM EXTREMELY ANXIOUS! WE NOW KNOW WHY! DARREN has absolutely no interest in helping us buy a new car! we were so outraged by his behavior, we told him off, complained to the gm, and walked out! he lost a valuable customer that walked in very happy and excited about buying a new car! this schmuck needs to learn how to treat people! next time, you show people respect darren! shame on you! stay away and buyers beware! he literally told us he didn't care if we bought a car from galles or not! showed him kindness and respect and all we got in return was insults and atrocious behavior! I ve known Mike Cottone in Service for over 6 year...

I ve known Mike Cottone in Service for over 6 years now and he s always taken care of me with my 2014 Silverado. So when I received a couple of recall notices, knowing that Mike Had recently moved as I have and was at Galles in Albuquerque, it became a no brainer for me. I got in touch with him and he got me in quickly! I skipped over several dealerships much closer to Los Alamos, NM and drove down because I trust Mike! As long as he s at Galles, they ll have my business!

Very very very VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ZERO PROFESSIONALISM. finance director and the sales "professional" with for themselves not the customers, I've purchased several vehicles from several dealers and never have I ever had an experience like this. I'd love to meet the very few who rated higher than a single star because I'm just not buying it. I was lied to by almost everyone I spoke with, they wasted not just hours but days off my time, was promised over and over on several things and would never make paper, very discreet and shady business or actually employees is a better way to word that. For those of you and you know who you are,I pray the owners don't see through to the reality of an average customers experience. They don't deserve your business, don't waste your time there are several other Chevy dealers in the area that without any difficulties made a fast easy sell.

The overall experience was phenomenal! I went for an oil change on my 2018 Silverado. I stepped into the waiting area I was greeted by Anthony and cordially welcomed me to the dealership. He showed me around the new models and long story short I walked out with a great deal on a 2021 Silverado. It was my first experience with Galles and let me tell you, it will be my dealership from now on here in Albuquerque.

Sales department are stereotypical liars and scum ...

Sales department are stereotypical liars and scum of the earth. I received a thieving letter from their sales department with some "urgent news about the severe shortage of quality used vehicles" using the floods in Houston as a scare tactic. Accompanying this letter was an offer to come test drive a new vehicle and receive a $25 prepaid Visa card. I had to get parts down there so I thought I'd see if this was legitimate. The salesman I dealt with was Clint Loveman, I was told "we're out of them today, but we'll mail you one." and I test drove a new Silverado. Never received the prepaid card, as I figured would happen. Just typical car sales scum that give that industry a bad name. A job without having to actually work when you have no skills as a human being. Car sales.

I stopped in a couple weeks ago with a noise in my truck suspension that several other shops could not remedy. The noise was horrendous and getting worse. After two other shops threw parts at it without the noise going away, the service dept at Galles Chevy had it fixed in an afternoon for just over $120 with no parts, just labor, which is indicative of the knowledge the techs have. Bob Foxx was my adviser, and having been a service adviser for a Chevrolet dealer for several years prior, he did a great job providing updates and an explanation as to what was causing the noise.

Turns out the cross member containing the ends of the torsion bars and the rear transmission mounts had become torqued with pressure from miles of off road use and needed to be removed and have a couple washers added to the bolts.

I will be taking any other problematic issues I have, to this dealer.

Edit: Called Galles today for an alignment and ended up having my appointment taken by an operator. It sounded like I interrupted her smoke break, she could care less about even acting remotely interested in why I was calling. I called Marc Casa this time. Like most places in ABQ. One day service is great, next day it's awful.

Took our Volt in for schedule service. When my wife went to pick up the car after everything was done and the Service Rep outright lied to her about needing new tires. The tires only had 22K miles on them, were worn evenly, and had at least half of the tread remaining.
Use the Service Department at your own (and your wallets) risk. We won't ever be going back.

Galles Chevrolet is AWESOME! My initial contact was with Cathy Chapel, and she was very kind and worked so hard to get me approved for financing! We worked on getting a new vehicle for over a year (I had family issues come up along the way), but Cathy continually followed up with me until I was ready to make a purchase! When I arrived, the sales people were so friendly and helpful. Jesse was the salesman that "closed the deal" and I was extremely pleased with the whole experience. The staff worked so hard to get me into a new car, and it paid off in the end! I'm now driving my NEW 2014 Chevy Sonic and I couldn't be happier! The folks at Galles are incredible and deserve more than a 5 star rating!

There's never a good time to have car trouble, but, during these scary times and social distancing, the service people at this establishment were on top of it! Had a wonderful wonderful experience working with Chris Lucero at Galles. From the initial point of contact he was responsive, thorough, hard-working, and extremely accommodating. I was impressed with his follow-through and he met all of my (quite extensive) wishes. He ended up getting us exactly the deal we waited over six months for. Chris went above and beyond and I would absolutely recommend working with him on your next journey to buying a car. He prepared all of my paperwork for me ahead of time and I was only in the dealership an hour signing.

Also, Galles beat out all the other New Mexico dealerships for me in price (by far). The rest of the staff was kind, hard working, and enjoyable. The general manager made a point to come and meet me personally and thank me for my business.

Thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Go Galles!

This dealership has an aftermarket dealer add on which they tout as an anti-theft Device. It is a GPS tracking device so they always know where the car you buy is located. It is not an option but mandatory dealer add on. I m sure it is useful to them when they have to repossess a financed car. But even if you pay cash for the car they insist that you pay them an extra $2000 for this device.A really flagrant rip off.

Long story short (Galles management has been emailed a full detailed complaint, that they have yet to respond to). I took my vehicle in at 7am to have it looked at for transmission like issues. I had to call a few times in the late afternoon to find out the status on it. I was yelled at by my service rep because I had the audacity to call and check on my vehicle and then I was told that they had driven my vehicle all day and nothing was wrong with it. When I went to pick up my vehicle the odometer had NOT moved ONE mile. When I started the truck and the noises started again the manager insisted (on video recording) that it was "out of oil" (not true). After all of the lies from Galles' service center, I decided not to have them work on the vehicle.

Fast forward two days and I took it to Reliable to have them look at it, within two hours they called to let me know that the truck would need a complete engine tear down and rebuild. The noise was from a lifter hitting the piston.

Any service tech who ACTUALLY LOOKED AT AND DROVE the truck would have found this and definitely not suggested it was out of oil. It is one thing to make a mistake and then fix it, it is another to cover it up multiple times.

Lies after lies after lies. The lies continued over the phone with the service manager concerning my complaint and they will not allow me to speak to the general manager at Galles.

I purchased my first car here about a month ago, when it didn t seem to be driving as well as it used to I called and asked if I could bring it in. I spoke to Micheal Cottone who helped to get me in the next day and was super helpful by checking in and letting me know what needed to be done. My car was ready the same day I dropped it off. Micheal was very professional and felixaeble with my needs and time I am very thankful that he was able to help me out.

I recently moved to Albuquerque and when my car started overheating, I did not have a relationship with an auto repair shop. So, I called AAA and asked them to take it to a shop near where I work. They sent it to Galles. Big mistake.

First, it took them more than two days to diagnose the problem and they kept telling me that a diagnosis would be completed soon. Then they quoted me a much too high price for repairs. They are a dealer, which makes them more expensive, but the quote they gave me was, frankly, astronomical. I identified another shop in the area, told them what Galles had quoted me, and was given a much more reasonable estimate. So, I called Galles and asked them to top up my coolant, so that I could drive the car less than 2 miles to my work where I was going to have the car towed to the other shop. They told me that it would not be a problem.

The car stopped running less than 500 ft from Galles because of a drained battery, which had NOTHING to do with the cooling system problem that Galles had diagnosed. In fact, my car has never had electrical system problems during the time I have owned it. Once I got under the hood, I found that Galles had also lost the cap to my overflow tank.

The bottom line: Galles Service is just a very expensive way to have your car mistreated by unprofessional and incompetent mechanics.
