I have a painful experience from my brand new Acco...

I have a painful experience from my brand new Accord purchase from David McDavid, Frisco. McDavid sold me a 2019 Accord from which I started getting an annoying rattle sound from dashboard center console area. The car was below 100 miles. I took the car to service, they confirmed the rattle but they could not identify the reason of rattle even after 4 visits. So I changed the Accord with another one from them paying some more $$$, and the same type of rattle sound started showing up after few days. Took it to service, and this time they told me it is a heater box issue, they opened the dashboard and replaced the heater box. Now the car is showing up a different type of rattle noise which occurs at cold start and while driving on local road. I addressed it to service advisor Eric, he confirmed the noise but now denying to fix this. I was promised to hear back from Manager Collin for a followup on this, but did not hear back.
Very frustrated from buying a brand new car from David McDavid, Frisco and also the way the service Dept. delay to acknowledge the problem, fix it and hide the fact. Think again before buying an accord from them, otherwise you may end up in my situation if your car is one of those in their lot, with a faulty heater box.

Update: After the reply here from GM Ali, I have contacted him, and also the service dept. manager Collin and Matt over email and phone. They did not respond to me. So all this assurances are fake and in reality their goal is get money from buyers.
It is sad to see their ethics of business, and sales policy for new cars with problems. They bring Accord with faulty heater box and then they can not fix it well, rather advise buyer to live with the problem.
Think again before investing your hard earned money to this dealership.

Had appointment at 10am. Got there at 9:40am. Greeted right away and saw Service Advisor within 3 minutes. All I wanted was their battery service (new Battery) and had coupon. I was taking their shuttle home and signed up. 1 hour and 15 minutes later I am still sitting there. I saw 2 drivers and they were not taking people from my drop off area. I spoke to one and he said there were people waiting longer than me. He had room so squeezed me in. When car was ready I was told 1.5 hours to PU. He was there in less than 20 minutes. My car was there from 9:40am to almost 4pm just to get a battery installed. Fourth time I have tried them for service and never 1 good experience. Service Advisor Austin was very good.

I recently visited your dealership although I purchased from Honda of Rockwall, as I was in the area and Devin went out of his way to make sure my warranty was still honored there and checked on my car several times for completion. He followed up with me and was pleasant, courteous and respectful of my time. Great job Devin! After starting off with an unpleasant Kevin, Devin definitely won my business! Purchased a new Honda Accord Sport here on a Saturday night right before close. Naturally, I wanted to leave the dealer as I had already been there for 4 hours. I breezed through the financing process not realizing what I was signing up for. After returning to my home, I realized the numbers I agreed on with the front end salesman weren't adding up. This was my own fault as it was my first car purchase from a dealership, and first time financing.

I showed up first thing Monday morning. The Sales manager made things right on the front end, and the finance team on the back end. They were courteous people and helped me to work the kinks out, saving me money. I am thankful for this as it is not the case at many dealerships.

Lesson to be learned: Read the paperwork!

It was the stereotypical dealership experience - sales is in a hurry to get a signature and then no one is in a hurry. We had a small paint chip and bumper issue resolved. It was fixed by painting the entire bumper very nicely but in the wrong color of the rest of the vehicle. It bothers me that several people at McDavid thought that was OK, especially since they had over a week. Even worse, the sales person claimed "I've been told that's how the paint reacts to the plastic." What a load of ... we are just happy the transaction is over and will have it fixed up elsewhere. We won't be back based on that interaction.

One of the WORST experiences of buying a vehicle ever! I realize that car "dealers" are of a certain type as it is, but this dealer took the cake. Below is only an abbreviated version of the multi-week nightmare that caused us to lose sleep over the way we were treated at this dealership.

We went through vehicle selection and chose some add-ons. Gave them a $500 deposit until the vehicle would be ready. In the meantime, I went to another dealer(Lute Riley) and found a price that, including my trade-in, was $3000 less, drive-out price. When i notified the salesman here at David McDavid, he started berating me for checking elsewhere and said something about handshakes not being worth anything any more! I said that I wanted to complete the sale with him so he said to bring it in and they'd go "apples to apples" on it. Instead, he gave me just a little better price, but only upped my trade-in from $2300 to $2800 instead of the $5000 the other dealer gave me. He got mad and said he never should have put accessories on until after financing and final paperwork and was going to charge me for having the $3000 of add-on's installed. The situation got worse and worse until we realized that we were bullied into completing the deal, even though it wasn't really "apples to apples".L Both dealers claimed that the other one made up for discounts with financing, even though we already had it arranged with our Credit Union and this salesman used to work for the other dealer! Another "helpful" manager came out and asked us if we were happy about our dealer and we said no. She said she'd try to fix it, but only offered us a couple free oil changes and said she'd talk to the manager to see what she could do. We said we didn't know what they could do since they wouldn't negotiate the price any further.
Then they had the nerve to post my trade-in on Auto Trader as "cleanest 4Runner west of the mississippi" for $6995! I realize that there will be a markup on retail vs. trade-in, but to make a gross profit of 60% and a markup of 250% just felt like pouring salt into the wounds.
The second lady called me back the next day and left a voice mail that she was contacting the manager and would call me back. There was no call back, even though she claimed she called and left message.
When we picked up the car, there was a scratch on the left rear door, apparently where they were attaching the door guards. It was noted and then they said they'd fix it. The car didn't have the pinstriping it said it had and we had to take it back in. While I was there, they tried to fix the scratch, but said it was too deep. The service manager said he wanted up to have complete satisfaction, but seemed to indicate that it was dicey as to whether their paint and body shop could match the paint job that was done in the factory. We said we want it to be perfect since we were paying so much for it and are scheduled for dropping it off next week so we'll see. In the meantime, the service manager quit!

It's stressful enough buying a car and even more stressful buying a used car. You really never know what you're going to get and how a dealership is going to take care of you. Whether they'll hold to true to their integrity or not. For me this dealership has earned a lifetime customer. I recently purchased a new vehicle from David McDavid. Once I got past the pushy approach of the first salesman to work with a Sales Manager, the experience was pretty reasonable. However, the experience with other parts of the business was not so good.

1.) I had put a $500 deposit down on the vehicle the day before I closed. The sales person neglected to give me credit for this $500 on the paperwork until I corrected him. He rewrote the paperwork. When I got to the finance department, the finance person pulled up the paperwork and also tried to not give me credit for the $500 deposit. Maybe this was an honest mistake (twice) but it sure was annoying.

2.) I purchased exterior and interior protection from the Finance Manager and told him that I didn't have time to do the application that day and would like to bring it back in today to get it done. He assured me that he would "set it up" for me. When I arrived at the Service department this morning, the people had to ask me multiple times why I was there because "they didn't have an appointment for me".

3.) While buying the vehicle, I told them I wanted to purchase all-weather floor mats. They accommodated my request by charging me over twice as much ($429) as the Internet advertised price ($205) for the floor mats.

Maybe my expectations have been set too high by the BMW and Mini ownership experience?

I would like to praise Nick and Victor for a wonderful experience purchasing a new Odyssey for my wife. It was a Christmas present and they both went above and beyond expectations. From being discrete to delivering the vehicle to my home on Christmas Eve. I cannot thank them and the whole staff enough for their kindness. This is our second purchase from David McDavid and we will be customer for life.

Don't force people to finance the car when they are ready to pay cash! Don't make people go through the loan paperwork, then pay off, then title release, another trip to DMV to get the title in our name. It is simply unnecessary hassles for the customer. Just take the cash!!

Keith Burr went above and beyond the call of duty, he let us test drive multiple cars, one overnight to accommodate our schedule, he worked with us on a fair price, and made sure the paper forms, process and buying process was truly effortless. The finance manager also helped us expedite the USAA loan process in his office, all in all a top notch buying experience. We have now bought three cars from David McDavid and would not hesitate to recommend this dealership and the fine staff.

I was looking forward to purchasing a Civic Coupe from this dealership, but it didn t happen. Online price was $21600, but when I arrived there were dealer added options. New price = $26,000. Some of the options I would never add, such as a stripe on the side of the vehicle.
They lowballed my trade by $5,000, which I then go them to correct when I showed the KBB value. The excuse I received was oh, we didn t include your options when we valued your trade . Their price, before financing interest was $36k.
I walked. I felt I was in the same, useless car saleman arena with the what would you like to pay monthly .

This is the worst Honda dealership we have had experience with. Don't be surprised if they go to the level of being racist with you guys. The are experts at playing game with the customer. We went here asking for a very specific model of car and we told them specifically we want this model only. The guy kept us waiting for half hour to get us a test drive of the car and comes back to tell us that we can get you a lower model for your budget . If that was the case he should have done that on the table . That's bad bad bad customer service . When asked for manager .. Manager ( William Stalik) refused to see us . Guilty ?? .. When we went to him . He spoke 2 words and left the table without even listening to what happened. Is this the culture a manager sets ?? .. We went to these guys just coz of convenience of driving distance from where we stay . There are much better Honda dealerships out there guys . Just try more before wasting ur money and energy here .

It's complicated. My multi-point inspection report, I am starting to believe you guys are making some things up. I was there last time on December 05/2018 for an oil change and tire rotation and my multi-point report(inv#825338) recommended to have Transmission fluid, coolant service and outer tie rod boots replacement. Now I was there yesterday for front Brake and alignment service (inv#839351) and surprisingly(???) none of these was not even mentioned and all green. But this time, upper control arm, cambers, need to be replaced and the price difference for some of the work quotes, like for Timing belt package, third brake light bulb, etc. Lol. Hope they did the alignment correctly, and I can feel they did this time, so 5 stars for that, because last time I was there for an alignment, you guys have to do it twice, because first time you said its done and when I asked after I drove the car I was told " if it is in the invoice it has been done" and I told the service adviser to test drive, it was way off and have to re done. This time the adviser was thorough.
PS: your chat room feature in your website is just waste of time. yesterday, 02/13/2019 I was chatting with someone and I was told a service adviser will call or email me, NOTHING HAPPED. last month I asked for a quote for 4 new tires and installation, again same results. if you are not planning to call me customer why bother???

I always have courteous service when I visit David McDavid of Frisco. My service advisor Kelvin Jones is A W E S O M E!!! He takes care of me each time. My last experience with him really blew me away. I dropped my car off for a repair and signed up for shuttle service to the mall. My car was done and he called me and notified me that I was all set but the shuttle drivers are busy and that he will call as soon as one was available. About an hour has passed and my family was getting restless... Kelvin stepped and and sent another worker to pick us up. I appreciate how he took care of my concern.
I have purchased 3 vehicles from here new and used and have not had ANY issues!!!! Check this place out... They will treat you like Family!!

I called the day before to see if the dealership did state inspections, the receptionist did not mention making an appointment. When I got to the dealership, I was asked if I had an appointment. When I said no, the tech walked away. The second tech told me I needed new tires. After a ten minute wait, the third tech finally set me up for service. The inspection was done in an hour; the tech also said I needed new tires even though all tires had safe tread depth.

I have recently moved to the area and was looking for a dealership to call home. This one will not be home; I'll gladly drive farther to find a service department that is more interested in getting my work done and me on the road than in selling tires or whatever.

Made an online reservation to have my car looked at, the option to choose for a loaner was not obvious.So I placed in the description that I would need a loaner. I was immediately attended to and taken to the waiting area which looked older but was clean and had many places to venture. Coffee, tea and water options, tv and movie areas and wifi for the working sort. I was updated on my car twice and each time was told no more than an hour wait. I asked them about a loaner and they would not offer me one because I "didn't select the option online". So I assume that means that my description was ignored. Waited around 3 hours which at a dealership is to be expected. My stay was pleasant and the service was great just wish they had better communication on what I needed. Oh! They also have a shuttle that runs often which I appreciated! Would return!

Zero Star if I can.Very bad customer service. I went to buy two CRV - LX for my friends and we were negotiating to reduce the price with the sales representative.The price is almost to match with other dealership quote. The sales representative was ok with our price and she was about to give her card to visit back in couple of days to buy the car as we are planning for finance. The Manager William came all the way and spoke rudely and asked us to get out since the price we negotiated looks higher from his point. The way he treated us was so bad and unprofessional. If you are not satisfied with the price tell that you can t do it for this price instead of behaving rude and ask us to get out.

Please stay away from this dealership.

I am going to be fair in this review. I had a great experience just dropping in on a Saturday for an oil change with my wife's car. The place was very busy and despite how busy it was, I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. It took a little longer than they promised but not too much more. Everyone was very attentive and polite. So I asked my wife to take her car back for another oil change and transmission service. She made an appointment for a Friday at 12:30 and was told it would take 2 hours. At 2:30, the car hadn't even been looked at. She had to leave to get kids picked up at school and was promised that she would get a call from a manager that day. No call ever came. The next morning she called again about the experience, was told that a manager would reach out to her and that has yet to happen. 5 stars for my experience and -1 stars for the second experience. Taking the car to another place for service, will never return.

Derick and every other employee I encountered was pleasant. There were plenty of places to wait and maintain social distance. I appreciated the emailed coupon which lowered my bill considerably.
My only complaint was that my A1 service (oil change/tire rotation) took over 2 hours. Too long and longer than quoted. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

I would have made numerous calls and visits to the dealership and i was always greeted by a smile by the team at David McDavid.

I would like to specially mention about Erika who has been very helpful throughout the deal process and even after completion of the same she continued her support to me for any kind of question or query or help that i required.
Despite of being a Sales person, she never sounded pushy at any point of time during the deal. They really offered me a good competitive deal, but the real differentiation was that they go beyond the sales cycle to help a customer.

The whole experience was great. The sales rep., Camden, was low key and knew the product very well. He did a great job pointing out the features (and there are a ton of them). He allowed us to test drive the vehicle by ourselves where we could openly express our opinions with each other (my wife and I). After we mad our decision to buy the CRV, we had a discussion of the price. He listened to what my research had shown and together we negotiated a deal that I think was fair to both parties. After we settled on financing (in our case a lease) Camden helped us set up all of the high tech features. We left the dealership already feeling comfortable in our new ride.

The same day I received a text from sales rep Keith Burr. He sent a picture with the car I asked for and he drew a batman symbol on the back of the Honda. This made my day! We were unable to meet the same day but that following morning my Fiance and I walked into Honda with low hopes of getting a new vehicle. I met with Keith Burr. From the time we walked in, to the time we left, he took good care of us and our needs. I definitely feel we made a great choice choosing Honda. Came here with my parents to buy my car, a red 2016 Honda Civic EX. We arrived in hopes to speak with JP Kinman since my parents know him personally and he said he would help us out when it came to buying my first car. We waited about an hour since he was in a meeting, but we were helped by John P.and was told JP would come out to talk to us about prices when we finally have everything settled. After telling him we specifically want a red 2016 Honda Civic EX, John told us that they did not have ANY Honda Civic EX(s) in stock even though JP said he was holding one for us. We were then told that we could order one or they can get one within 1-2 days so we agreed and were ready to talk prices. JP never came out of the office he was in and spoke about prices to us through John. John was very friendly at first, but when it came to bargaining he became very sarcastic. Since the 2017 Honda Civic was coming out in a few weeks we were trying to reason with him and JP that we should get the 2016 for a much cheaper price they were giving us ($19k). They declined and John made a sarcastic remark saying, "You're telling us to sell you a car that no one else has for a much cheaper price. You can go anywhere else and I bet you no one will sell you your car for $19k. There's always going to be supply and demand. We're one of the biggest dealerships within 10 states and we don't even have it!" My family and I decided to just leave at that point since there was obviously no reason to argue. We then went to the Honda of Denton, got the exact car we wanted for $19k and it was in stock and ready to be taken home. Honda of Denton were much friendlier and faster with their service!

I bought a used Acura 2008 on Valentines day for my wife as a gift, after driving a little bit started hearing thumping, clicking noise from front right side. I spoke to the dealer from whom i bought the car they said bring it in and we will look at it see what we can do, I felt very encouraged. I brought the car in on 2/21/17 at the dealership and left for all day at service department, no one called me with any update. Finally i called myself around 3.30 PM and they said you have bad shocks and they will charge 750 and not fix for free. I felt very deceived not to mention they charged me price which is 3K over Kelly blue book and on top not even fix the Shocks.
I am not going back to this place and will share my experience with all friends.

After I left the dealership I found the A/C filter (I had paid for including installation) in the passenger seat under my coat. I called and later via text a manager informed me that the glove box was locked so they couldn t replace it. Why was I first hearing about this after I left the dealership? And how do they know it was dirty and needing replacement if they couldn t get to it? Now I wonder did they replace the other items I paid for? 7 mos ago the starter motor was supposedly replaced. However, it still grinded on occasion when I tried to start it. Just hit 30,000 miles. Adviser said they were replacing the starter on this visit too but I had to pay my warranty deductible. Argued for 10 minutes with me iterating they would not waive the deductible. I requested he have a manager call me. He said none of the managers would or even could waive it. No manager called me back. The adviser called to tell me he had found out more info and good news... no deductible to pay. Don t call a customer until you know the facts. REPLY TO OWNER - I got your calls and voicemails. What is there to discuss here? I am not interested in your discount service offers. This is not something you can fix with discounts. You were supposed to fix my car the first time. But you didn't. You charged me for service you did not do. You did give me a refund for that work but only after asked for it. Shame on you! Let's make a deal... Don't call me and I won't call you.

This review is for Mcdavid used car dealership. I purchased a used accord from their showroom and from start to finish I the experience was very good. I worked with Mr. Haji and AK the sales manger. They got me a good deal on the car and the finance process was very spot on and easy. I would highly recommend this dealership for good quality used cars.
