Update 11/25/19: I've had no qualms with the service center and have been faithfully taking my Honda's here for over two years. This past week, I had an awful experience where the service center advisor I was given replaced parts without confirmation with me and having nothing to do with the problem I communicated that I wanted fixed. I'm very disappointed by my most recent experience. I'll update again if things improve. (End of update) I test drove a car here prior to talking prices. The sales associate who took me test driving was professional and knowledgeable. She wasn't pushy and stayed real positive. I was disappointed that they weren't straight forward about their Costco Auto program prices-they're supposed to have a price sheet they show you but I wasn't ever given anything official to look at. They weren't able to beat other dealership prices either. Still, I wasn't completely turned off by my experience here, which is unusual with car dealerships.

Initially we weren't able to get into the vehicle we really wanted. So after trying something else we decided we would take it but only at the right price. It took forever for finance to process our paperwork. We came back a few days later thinking we would get the car for reasonable payments however our payments shot up about $70 out of our range. Despite us having history with Honda finance, a large down payment, and a cosigner we couldn't get the number down. We initially said we'd take it until we went home and panicked about how much its really going to cost. Luckily the paperwork never fully went through so we returned the vehicle a few days later. Unfortunately we still haven't received our down-payment money back and I keep calling asking where it is. I wouldn't of made it a 1 star but now its further procrastination just to get my money back. The entire process was poorly ran from sales and finance. Now I just want my money back.

McDavid Honda has been a wonderful experience from the time I bought the vehicle 9 yrs ago. Got a good deal first off, then have been getting my services done there every time for oil change to anything. They have specials you can take advantage of, and they are very customer centric. The management is pretty strict about the customer satisfaction, so the associates do their best to keep you satisfied. This is one big thing I like. They also have customer drop off and Pickup which I always used.
Last week, I had an issue with my vehicle, Rather an expensive one as the engine was consuming oil. I spoke to the manager and he quickly verified and told me that it was a known issue and there was an extended Warrenty (that had expired a few months back) and worked with me in getting it resolved. I quite appreciate the professionalism of the service manager.

Had a great car-buying experience today! I went in looking at a Honda Odyssey this morning, and Zia immediately met me at the door and was extremely professional and helpful for the entire process. Garret, the sales manager, gave me a fair deal on the Odyssey and my trade-in after we both looked over all the data, and Ramone was extremely informative in the financing department and never pushed for any extras that I didn't need. They got the car detailed and ready for me quickly and now it's at a new home! Thanks so much, guys!

I used to love dropping my car off here. I could drop it off before work and pick it up during lunch or the end of the day.
Well that's changed now that they got ride of their shuttle service. They've replaced it with a Lyft service that you only qualify for if you spend a certain dollar amount. So if they experiencing extra long wait times, you have to wait there or find a ride yourself.
While I understand it costs money to run a shuttle service and to pay for the Lyft. They've removed the convince of using their dealership for routine maintenance.

Extremely poor customer service.. very disappointed!After spending several hours with a sales rep he got a price approved by his manager which was 1000 more than what we were willing to pay and we left. He called within 30 minutes stating that his manager approved the price we were willing to pay. It was late on Saturday and dealership was closed on Sunday so we asked if we could get the vehicle on Monday for the agreed price and he confirmed via sms that would be fine. Today he called to say that the manager just told him that he only guaranteed the price for Saturday so now we would have to discuss pricing again. The manager told us his sales rep made a mistake so he couldn't give it at the agreed price but he could give it for 1000 more. We have documented proof of the agreed price but they don't care .. customer service is clearly not a priority. They don't keep their promise!Will never go their again!

First, I talked with an online representative, I told her, I had very specific financing questions, and asked if she could help, instead of just saying "no, you'll have to speak with someone tomorrow" She kept me tied up for 20 minutes only to then say she would pass my information on and have someone call me. When someone called me back, I explained I had already obtained financing through honda, and was ready (as in walk out the door and to a dealership) to make my purchase, I gave him the stock# I was interested in, he said he would get back with me. 6 hours later, still no call. I went to a dealership that was closer that had the Odyssey touring elite that would fit my bill. Walked in, was there less than 2 hours and was walking out with new Odyssey. Someone is ready to spend $50k + on a new vehicle, and can't get a return phone call. Finally 30 hours later someone called me back, I explained they were late in responding, I told the gentleman the day before I was buying that day. Then again, the next day someone calls, and I again explain that I had purchased elsewhere, and that I had informed the guy that I was purchasing that day. I can pretty much guarantee that I will never do business with any David McDavid branch but definitely not the Frisco branch

I was DREADING car shopping! Working with you guys was painless and an enjoyable experience! Ahmad was AMAZING!!! We got the exactly the price we wanted on my dream car! Before I left he made sure to go over all of the new features I was getting. Coming to your facility was more like visiting with friends vs a car dealership! Everyone is so kind and made us feel comfortable. I never once felt like I was being bamboozled or pressured. Thank you so much! We will be back!

I just recently graduated college and will be starting my full time job in less then a month. I desperately needed a new car, esp with my new job being located in Dallas. Due to Hondas grad incentive, I decided to get a brand new 2020 Civic. I had reached out to around 6 dealerships. It should be noted that due to COVID I was trying to do any negotiating through text or email as well as the buying process. Of the 6, three ghosted me after initial communication (2 of which I even went to the dealership to test drive a car!) and 2 were ridiculously rude whenever they couldn't get their price down to my price. This all made my first time buying process very stressful.

Then comes Carl Scott from David McDavid of Frisco. He was GREAT. He emailed me an initial quote the moment I asked for it - very detailed quote too! He was very transparent and responded very quickly. Whenever he couldn't get down to my asking price he was VERY kind about it, told me what they could do, and tried to see what options were available to help me out. He even responded to me on his day off! Talk about excellent customer service! I ended up getting offered the best deal from him compared to other dealerships, and experienced great customer service on top of that. While it was over my asking price, I knew it was the best deal I would be offered.

In addition, finance was GREAT. The paperwork was signed pretty quickly and when I denied the extended warranty he didn't try to push or pressure me into it. They all took great care due to COVID and made sure to minimize contact as much as possible.

Overall a great experience with David McDavid of Frisco! I'd 10/10 recommend here if you are looking for a new Honda. And I'd definitely recommend asking for Carl Scott to be your sales rep!

I live out of town but this dealership had the exact car I wanted so I decided to do business with them. I was able to do the entire trade in and car buying process online and over the phone and they even delivered the car to me, over 3 hours away! Everyone was extremely nice, helpful and worked around my busy schedule to set up phone calls and deliver the car. My family will be doing business here again soon!

Back in 2015, I purchased a new 2015 Accord from Honda of Frisco. When it came time to purchase a 2018 Pilot for my wife, I knew where to go. Even though I am in Austin and it is a 3.5hr drive each way, I made the drive today. Great communication on when the car was arriving, no surprises when I got to the dealer, a fair price, great overall experience and fast paper work to get me out the door. This is how buying a new car should be! Sam Saidian is a straight shooter and great guy.

One star ONLY for the service reps I've worked with at David McDavid Honda of Frisco. They have generally tried to be helpful, but end of the day, the service department is very frustrating.

I have a 2015 Honda Fit that has had its transmission replaced because the factory did not fill the transmission with fluid and have had an ongoing battle with water collecting in my rear passenger-side floorboard. It has taken no less than 5 trips (think I'm up to 6 or 7) to remedy the issue, to the point of having the carpet replaced in the entire car. Each time I have left the shop, I've been told the only reason I'll need to come back is for oil changes. Guess what -- I won't even be back for an oil change. I'll find another dealership, further away, for any service and will be looking to get out of this vehicle ASAP.

Finally, at the end of my last visit, I asked what my options were to get out of this vehicle and into something at same cost (either at same duration of loan or extending loan--wasn't looking for a handout). Was told directly:

1. Honda does not buy back vehicles
2. Not really the dealership's problem (both because I didn't buy it from that specific dealership AND because 'they just sell the vehicles'---mine is more of a Honda America issue---WHAT?!--this was infuriating)
3. Would have to have my vehicle appraised for trade-in --- as in, "we don't care what you owe or the problems you've had"

So why bother? Why would I do business with this dealership? I may as well take my business elsewhere and get out of the vehicle. I will NOT be going back to Honda for anything. Just poor all the way around.

He took time to explain the details of the vehicle and financing options. Consummate professional and personable. I will be back to purchase another vehicle from him in the future. I would highly recommend him and this dealership if you are in the market for a vehicle.

I visited David McDavid Honda twice in the month of December both times i had service that was not to standard I'd expect from them. The communication with service representatives was lacking, the work was not done correctly and the time it took to do minor work was excessive when i left my vehicle. My second visit with similar result, made me reach out to both the service dept. mgr and the GM Sonia Heredia.

Sonia responded to me and had her service team go above and beyond to resolve my issues and get my vehicle back to me and on the road safely.

A week after my last Dec. visit I had to return after puncturing my tire. I reached out to AJ Rodrigues in service department as he was assigned as my advisor on the 2nd Dec .visit to pick up the slack when the ball was dropped by staffer who was out the day i had appointment. He had provided me with his contact info so when i had this emergency visit without an appointment on Saturday Jan. 7th he stepped up to the plate. He go me in and out and kept me informed continually of the status of my vehicle. He truly restored my faith in the service department and he will be my Go-To guy going forward.

I know we all get online and post complaints but very rarely do we post when things are resolved and made right so that is what i'm doing.

Thanks you Sonia H Gm at David McDavid and AJ Rodrigues in Service department for fixing my issues restoring my faith your service department.

We had a difficult time dealing with the airbag recall on my wife's car. First, I called the dealer who ordered the part. I didn't hear back from them, so I called after a couple of months. The part had been received, but we had not been notified. My wife took her car in and was planning on taking their shuttle home. She waited over one and a half hours without a shuttle. At this point, I had come home from work and came up there and got her.

I was kind of amazed how poor Honda's service was, especially given it was related to a safety recall. I have a Ford and get it service at the Ford dealer in Plano. The Ford dealer always washes my car for free before I get it back and runs a reliable shuttle. It is amazing how different the experience is.

At first had some mechanical issues with the car, but Ali Beni the general manager, contacted me him self personally to ask me to bring it back to there service department, and they will fix it at no charge. They also provided me a loaner at no charge twice while the issues were being resolved. I am very pleased how Mr. Beni handled my mechanical issues with my daughters first car. The dealer Y Kim at Honda Frisco offended me by treating me very rudely. I started the negotiation by offering my preferred price because he told me to. With the offer, he got emotional and offended me by saying "There are lots of dealers out there. Go to them!" He didn't do anything to start the negotiation. He blamed me for offering my price. I don't know how that kind of rude dealer who doesn't want to negotiate can have a job in the car business. And, I can't believe Honda hires him.

I m actually responding not to my experience this weekend, but my last week experience with my daughter s car the previous weekend. We had a 10am appointment and dropped off on time, though it took 20-mins to check in with a dead battery issue. We were called at 345 saying the car was just now being worked. At 430, we were called saying or was done and she needed to pick it up by 5 or we would be without a vehicle. What?? A 10 am appointment ends in a you have 30 mins to get your car ?? Were we supposed to wait around all day waiting at the phone to have a 30 minute job completed? And then be told doors close at 5 regardless of what we have to drop to get there because you took 6 hours to complete a job we had an appointment for? Someone should have been available to help if we were 15-mins late! Remember customer service?? Honda of Mckinney was never this unconcerned with customer experience.

Can't say enough good things about James Brown and Sharouz Shakouri at the dealership. I wanted to downsize and cut my car payment down and they went above and beyond working with me to get the car and payments I wanted. Loving my new Civic. It was a pleasure dealing with Shoaib at David McDavid Honda. I bought a 2016 RX350 from them and Shoaib, the Sales Manager and the Finance Manager were all super nice and made it easy for me to get my car. Unlike other dealerships they were upfront, did not try to sell me packages or products that I did not want and did not do a bait and switch me.
I would highly recommend giving Shoaib a call if you are in the market looking for a car.

we visited several Honda dealerships in the metroplex and David McDavid of Frisco was by far the most professional, friendly and attentive. Our sales manager, Angel, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to get the car cleaned and touched up ... and perfect. I highly recommend this dealership and Angel as your salesperson.

Had a great buying experience 3 years ago on August 31, 2017. I was talked into what seemed like a good deal at the time for a 4 year 48,000 mile service maintenance plan. However its less than 3 years and less than 48,000 miles my plan expired. Someone made a terrible mistake and put my plan in the system as a 3 year 36k maintenance plan instead of the 4 year 48k that was agreed upon. I even provided paperwork and nothing could be done the employee told me. My local dealership called McDavid frisco and they both could not help me. Buyers beware. I will never buy Honda ever again. Please do not buy Honda care. It is a waste of money and Honda does not live up to their end of the deal. $1200 for 4 oil changes and the plan has expired. Kei Olson was the employee who sold me the plans.

No one has yet to help me at all. Dont fall for the kindness of the employees. Its all in an attempt to work you over for your money.

Updated June 25, 2020: After calling the number below, all that happens is i get redirected multiple times by employees that claim they don t know anything and say that can t help me, and then end with a mailbox to James Brown.

Update: July 22, 2020
After speaking with Honda corporate last week I have still not heard back from david mcdavid. Corporate advised they would contact david mcdavid and tell them to contact me and they have not done so. Very poor customer service.

This service department has been the bane of our Honda ownership. At 29k miles we brought our civic in for a oil change, on our way home the engine failed, of course they denied any wrongdoing. Luckily the car was still under factory warranty so a short block, turbo and other miscellaneous hardware was installed. Now let s focus on the present, I called yesterday to set up an appointment for a simple CVT service, and to get my AC checked because it s not blowing as cold as before. The advisor who picked up the phone had no idea what I meant when I asked for a CVT service. He put me on hold for 5 minutes while he found out what a CVT service is. Then when I asked about getting a loaner vehicle while the service and the AC diag were being preformed he proceeded to inform me that loan cars are handed to a customer once the car has diagnosed and the repair approved. That s absolutely ridiculous!! I canceled my appointment and purchased the CVT fluid from their parts department and did the service myself in 30 minutes. Side note before I finish up I noticed that all the times we ve taken our civic in for a oil change they have been charging us for 5 quarts of 0w-20, the capacity for a 1.5L is 3.7. So be warned you re paying for an additional quart of oil that will never leave the parts room. I know what I ve written will fall on deaf ears and that most likely I ll get a automated reply to this review from the owner apologizing and giving me his direct line so I can call him/her and talk about my experience. Please find a good local mechanic and give them your business.

After informing about some changes since my last service he corrected the expected cost and services needed. Additionally recommend i check with where i got my tires for additional services that they may do free rather than getting services than at the honda site. In general was pleased with response as i forgot to consider that option.
