This service department has been the bane of our Honda ownership. At 29k miles we brought our civic in for a oil change, on our way home the engine failed, of course they denied any wrongdoing. Luckily the car was still under factory warranty so a short block, turbo and other miscellaneous hardware was installed. Now let s focus on the present, I called yesterday to set up an appointment for a simple CVT service, and to get my AC checked because it s not blowing as cold as before. The advisor who picked up the phone had no idea what I meant when I asked for a CVT service. He put me on hold for 5 minutes while he found out what a CVT service is. Then when I asked about getting a loaner vehicle while the service and the AC diag were being preformed he proceeded to inform me that loan cars are handed to a customer once the car has diagnosed and the repair approved. That s absolutely ridiculous!! I canceled my appointment and purchased the CVT fluid from their parts department and did the service myself in 30 minutes. Side note before I finish up I noticed that all the times we ve taken our civic in for a oil change they have been charging us for 5 quarts of 0w-20, the capacity for a 1.5L is 3.7. So be warned you re paying for an additional quart of oil that will never leave the parts room. I know what I ve written will fall on deaf ears and that most likely I ll get a automated reply to this review from the owner apologizing and giving me his direct line so I can call him/her and talk about my experience. Please find a good local mechanic and give them your business.
