The service was excellent... however the room was a bit dusty it needs renovations because the sauna door doesn't close massage table was old the has patches on it guess it was ripped so the needed to cover it up ..in the bed room there was a water leek right in front the bed which made it hard to sleep and apparently you can here sounds all night I'm guessing it's from the rooms next to us . The beds are not comfortable at all had hard time sleeping. Overall it's a great resort but the rooms need maintenance.

After several calls about our reservations to ensure our room we get there to find out our room was given out. After a 5 hr car ride in blizzard conditions i say fine I asked for an end room since weather was horrible the lady said yes and then proceeded to not listen. Exhausted so Get to room get stuck in parking lot which was not shoveled room key doesnt work so we must WALK to main deak when we asked for help we were told there was nothing they can do. We decided to stay in since having to walk from Champaign towers to the dining room 2 times in the snow was bad enough. No internet no reception no atm no drinks without cash not able to rent movies in room. We felt rushed and waitress kept saying save room for dessert like to spare food. The lobby was packed with stranded w People and kids not romantic at all. Spend 2 hours getting our vehicle unstuck and when finally relaxing get a call we must evacuate lady guareteed a refund. Due to bad weather all roads were delayed or closed but they had no compassion we had to leave. Another 6 hr car ride get home to realize they charged me twice for 2 night stays when I never got a chance to stay 2 nights. This was by far the worse stay ever.
We went here for our 45 anniversary. We reserved the Adam & Eve room was great. The dinner that we payed for was the worst possible dinner. I would advise everyone not to buy your dinner ahead of time.
We stayed in the champagne tower suite for 2 nights (just a quick get-away). The room was filthy. We thought there was just some lint in the AC unit...turns out it was mold... My husband and I are now both having breathing issues. I am 16 weeks pregnant. The AC unit wouldn't work during the night. I killed 3 huge spiders - one of which had set up shop in a web next to the bed so you knew the room hadn't been used or cleaned in quite some time. The pool lights quit working, the pool tiles were dirty, the wallpaper was falling off the walls. At one point we had no water - had to call the front desk twice before it was fixed. The last night we were there, we almost packed up at midnight and went home. We brought all of this up when we checked out. The did help us with a small refund but we feel that we way overpaid and it was not worth the money.
The food was average. The outside pool was great. Evening entertainment was good.
This was our vacation alone without our 2 year old. We wish that we just stayed home. Overall, we wont be going back.
normally i would spend christmas with my parents ,but they went to hawaii ,but since i'm single ,no kids, wife or a girlfriend and i live on my own ,i decided to spent the holiday at a quiet resort instead of staying home by myself.even though at first i felt out of place being the only single traveler at the resort ,i did enjoy my stay and i felt i did accomplish what i set out to do ,which was to go somewhere quiet and relax. i thoroughly enjoyed the amenities ,like my hot tub in the room ,the swimming pool ,jacuzzis, game room, walking around the lake and stream, listening to the comic at the night club ,laying in my bed all to myself looking up at the starlights on the ceiling in my dark room.i would love to make this a private get away for myself to relax ,especially from my stressful job.it's too bad i don't have any one to take with me,a significant other,i don't feel i'm attractive enough for woman, but i'm sure you don't want to hear about my problems.i will point out different things that i noticed about the resort, improvements, that would make it a more enjoyable stay for guests.
1.check in was way too long ,i arrived a 3:24 i didn't get to my room until a little after 4.also i noticed after i had breakfast at 1045am i walk past the lobby to go back to my room to get my things and check out ,i noticed other guest who just arrived were checking in already, cause the receptionist was explaining the map situation to them. 2.some of the staff could be a bit more friendly and have better customer service skills.the host at the restaurant automatically assumed i was with someone even though i was bymyself instead of asking me ,tried to charge me for two 51 $ dam,and then the waitress takes me to the center of the dinning room ,which was awkward ,cause i'm surrounded by couples ,i felt out of place of and center of attention ,i asked her to move me ,she did ,off to the side near the wall, but she forgot about me.after almost a half hour of waiting to be served i left and went to the bar and had a hamburger.also no one explained to me why there was no buffet even though i was going to be charged for one.but i am grateful i wasn't charge for the meal cause i didn't order anything, that's the least they can do to make up for this poor customer service,it definitely needs improvement. 3.game room area needs improvements some machines don't work ,skeet ball and football game.the basketball gym needs a new rim&balls.
I am very disappointed with my stay at paradise stream especially with the dinning room. The food quality was terrible and not what I expected. I ordered a prime rib medium and it was well done, cold and bland. The mashed potatoes were boxed..so much for fine dinning. The bedroom I stayed in was a champagne tower which I was super excited about and it had very identifiable finger finger prints all over the mirrors by the bed and the ceiling as well. The pool had these brown floating specks of I don't know what so we skipped out on the pool. I can go on and on about my stay here but I'd be on here forever.
I enjoyed everything from the staff, to the Service and the rooms. Both my girlfriend and I had an amazing time. We loved it and will definitely return.
I loved spending one on one time with my husband and the couples activities were fun. But I was a little disappointed that the room did not look as new as on the website. I feel like rooms are old and need to be renovated along with the night club. My husband was also disappointed in the shower area. He felt like for a romantic resort the shower should be bigger and have a over head shower. I think we will try the pocono palace or cove haven next time to see if the quality of the room matches the price. Because for the amount they we paid it should have been a lot nicer.
Very romantic but could have been a LITTLE cleaner. Wasn t horrible, no bugs or anything. High priced but a great spot to get frisky. Jacuzzi fireplace and outdoor space at the lakeside villa... it s pond . Late night food delivery service was awesome area Japanese restaurants and liquor stores make it easy to avoid resort prices
THIS ESTABLISHMENT CHARGED ME $100 TO CANCEL A RESERVATION , EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE A MOLD PROBLEM , I GOING TO BLAST SOCIAL MEDIA ABOUT THIS YOU KNOW OF THE PROBLEM AND STILL CHARGE OUTRAGEOUS PRICE I CANCELLED BECAUSE OF THE MOLD INFESTATION DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE ON GETTING SICK ON ME AND MY WIFE 20TH ANNIVERSARY IM NOT DONE IM GOING MEDIA THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE BUSINESS PRACTICE
This place is great to get away for a weekend. It needs a few modern alterations and add a little more daily activities, but overall is perfect for a couple. I would visit again in the summer or winter. The staff is very friendly and all other guests were nice as well.
What an amazing experience. Eventhough it was only for one night, my wife and I have decided we will be back. Looking forward to a 3 day all inclusive stay the next time we come
First appearance, there were large oil/gas containers right outside our room. Not very appealing.Had cobwebs from the ceiling to the table lamp. Rug looked very old and worn. The ceiling tiles above the bed were not in place. The glass mirrors were yellowish. It takes almost 45 minutes to fill the Jacuzzi tub. Small nuisances, the one ATM machine was broken, they were not able to take credit cards at the bar and lounge, only cash and room charge. The pool tables were stained and had holes in the felt. The one waitress in the bar took 20 minutes to get our drinks, I actually went up and got one before she returned. We have not been here in 10 years and it looks like nothing has been updated since then. Overall very disappointed.
This resort is meant to be dated and like you are going back in time. It s clean and has nice amenities. I have researched this property a lot! There are many bad reviews from previous managers behavior but I can tell you I did not have any problems with my room or the service. The meals were not included in the price to stay there which was fine but it was expensive to eat there definitely not a breakfast included sort of stay which I would recommend to them! Loved the old school ammentites like pin ball machines! The rooms could use some upgrading they do show wear but not anything hugely concerning for a hotel. The sidewalks and pavements need fixing in some places but the gift shop was modern and quaint! The resort had a lot of space to spread out you had walking room and ammenties all over the grounds! Very well laid out.
My first time going up there with the love of my life. We really enjoy ourselves, the food and the food is good, drinks not too expensive we will go back for sure.
Service was terrible, I ordered rose petals for the room. When we arrived the flowers were wilted, the couch pillows were ripped and the zipper was opened. The room wasn t heated. I spent a-lot of money for the weekend stay, and was utterly disappointed and disgusted!!! Terrible service! I requested for the room to be cleaned, as the flowers made walking in the room and up the stairs disgusting and dangerously slippery. We vacated the room for the entire day on Saturday and upon our return nothing was vacuumed. We were provided only 2 towels, and when I requested more, my requested was disregarded as we did not receive additional towels for the following day! I mean come on, I could have stayed anywhere for that price, but we chose your resort. And unfortunately we were very dissatisfied, it turned our anniversary weekend into a messy dissatisfaction
We got the Garden of Eden suite which is okay needs a little updating like bathroom / shower. We also have breakfast and dinner in our package which the food wasn't good. It was like hospital food no taste need some flavor. Spend too much money for food not to be good.
We had a great time AND already planning our return escape. Though the food was delicious don't think we'll do the all inclusive again. We stayed in the "garden of Eden" very very clean & comfortable. AND FUN!! There's a variety of activities scheduled where you have the opportunity to interact with other couples we did meet great people. Kevin our FUN GURU was awesome. He definitely made our stay. THANK YOU KEVIN
We were really unsure where to spend our anniversary and when we came across the idea of paradise stream, we were sold. After booking I was skeptical with the reviews, I read things like it was outdated and some of the room turned up dirty. But upon arrival I had expressed my concerns with the front desk associate Donna, and she had exceeded all expetations of the room. She had called to make sure my room was perfect and the setting was very special for us. Charlie the engineer was called to replace the wire on the radio, and as soon as he left we had received complementary special Gift Cortesy of paradise stream, but I personally will have to write a very big thank you to Donna for going out of her way to make us feel special. I can't express how awesome Donna and Charlie were, I would book here again just to receive the outstanding service. The room was clean and welcoming and it didn't take us long I feel at home. Excellent stay
Rooms are so out dated, they have a terrible smell, the carpets are dirty, even the dinning room area carpets are disgusting. The food is terrible. Management does not care. I really give lots of credits to the employees, they are the ones that get all the terrible complains Don't waste your money.
Major disappointments!! Check in was horrible...girl at the front desk was miserable. She explained nothing to us. So hurtful because we were celebrating a 5 year wedding anniversary. The room quality was poor. Dated wall paper, dirty walls, dirty heart shaped pool, old furniture, spiders crawling all over. Rusted fixtures, filthy ceiling fan, mold growing around the heart shaped pool. A mold factory. We stayed for 2 nights. Night 1 meal was okay. Night 2 meal, DEPLORABLE!!! Prime rib was disgusting, tasted like dog food. We walked out & ordered room service which was somewhat acceptable. For the price so not worth it. I think the champagne tower have me a staph infection!! I am contacting the better business Bureau. This place needs to be shut down. Such a disappointment.
I took my husband for a romantic birthday getaway. He was pleasantly suprised with the accommodations. The room was nice and clean and all the extras I paid for were there when we arrived. We had an amazing time and look forward to out next stay.
I'm going to give my first impression and my final thoughts so read all the way through. My husband surprised me with a birthday getaway. We have 4 kids under 8. I'm glad he booked the getaway because I would have never booked this place. When we arrived my first impression was disappointment. As we pulled down the driveway the Paradise Stream sign is so plain that my first impression was a negative one. It is very outdated. Entertainment is subpar and there isn't a lot to do. We went out on the lake, which could use serious updating. We played archery and the bows and targets are very worn. One target is hanging on by a bolt. The horse shoe pits were sunken and not maintained like almost all the buildings. There's a sign at the front that says, "The land of love." There was a martini glass on the ground next to it for the entire 3 days we were there. It wasn't a dirty place at all, but needs to be updated. If I knew the price I'd never stay here. I'm used to the bells and whistles of other resorts and other resorts having a lot of entertainment. Final thoughts: we've been together for 12 years and have 4 kids. Our life is busy and we don't get time alone to hold meaningful conversations. At first I was disappointed with this place, but it was exactly what we needed. Luckily our room was clean and didnt stink. We stayed in Diana Oasis 527. We put our phones away and there was nothing to keep us distracted from each other. We played archery, checkers, pool, ping pong, jenga, can jam, and other fun games. We laughed and renewed our relationship by entertaining ourselves. It ended up being exactly what we needed. If you want a resort to entertain you and keep you busy all waking hours or even a few hours lol (like Disney), this is not your resort. If you really want to spend quality time with your partner and rekindle that love and attention, this is the place. It was a magical place for us because it is what you make it and I'm happy my husband booked us here. There's a time for resorts like Disney that go-go-go and there is a time for resorts like this that have a slower pace to rebuild those connections to your partner. We might return but I'm not paying $800 for this place. That amount of money is hard to earn. If they updated the archery, volleyball, horse shoes, nature trails (which we found by ourselves), and mini golf then it would be worth it.
My wife and I stayed here for our 5th wedding anniversary. We had one of the Diana's Oasis suites which has the pool and heart shaped tub as well as a walk in shower. It is also the most recently renovated of the suites on the property. We arrived on a Thursday and left on a Tuesday which gave us a pretty good view of all the goings on for the week. Upon arriving the desk staff was friendly and we quickly had our keys. We drove around to our suite and were pretty pleased upon entry. Everything was clean and nice. The only issue we had was a loose door knob on the bathroom which was fixed within 10 minutes of a call to the front desk. That might be the fastest service I've ever had on any issue at a hotel. Otherwise we had no other issues in our room during our entire stay. While the exterior of many buildings on the property and the interior of several buildings was dated the staff seems to be continually hard at work to keep things orderly and in reasonably repair and cleanliness. Considering the age of the property I'd definitely give the entire staff a huge kudos on that work. The breakfast was pretty standard on week days with an increase in options on the weekend particularly Sunday morning. You could always order a few items like pancakes or an omlette from the kitchen and the staff was as accommodating of tastes as possible. For dinner the menu was varied with several them nights. If there was one disappointment it was probably Sunday dinner which included 2 salad options from the kitchen vs. the salad bar that was available every other evening. Perhaps it is hard with the small number of guests at a Sunday dinner but it was a big plus other nights. The main dish was also not particularly great compared to other meals but still good. The night club where most evenings can be spent is dark and dated with a 1920s art deco theme. The entertainment as you can imagine was better on the weekend with bands on Friday and Saturday as well as other entertainers. I would say the biggest let down overall was the thin crowd and lack of enthusiasm from guests even for this weekend evening events. Not for lack of trying by both staff and entertainers. We did a number of trips off site during our stay but between scheduled events with staff or time simply lounging by the pool or using some of the other diverse amenities you could definitely fill you time on site as you see fit. Probably our favorite feature was the fire pit which is gas and has a large stone bench around it. Great spot to sit out late most nights when it is on. Overall we had a great time and it is definitely worth checking out at least once.
We got a free upgrade when we got there! At first I was a bit disappointed because I liked the design of the original room but the room we were given turned out beautiful! Recently renovated, clean, roomy and romantic! Wonderful porch with a view of the lake, it was snowing at the time so sadly we didn't put it to use. The facilities were clean and the arcade was a nice size. The pool area was also quite sizable. I will definitely be back during the summer/springtime when we can do more outdoor activities! Thank you guys for such a nice stay!
Had a wonderful time with my wife on our honeymoon! Enjoyed the champagne towers room but had a problem. Couldn't use the champagne towers due to hot water not working. Hot water would come out but would stop after 5 minutes. I called the service desk twice which put me to maintenance. They fixed the water both times and it got cold again within 5 minutes. Asked about it at the front desk after checking out. Was told that since I checked out that there was nothing they could do in way of refund or offers. Loved the area but may not be back for a while, especially not in the champagne towers.
******UPDATE****** CHECK OUT THE OWNER'S RESPONSE BELOW! THE OWNER'S RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW IS JUST AS RAGGEDY AS PARADISE STREAM IS AND JUST AS SNIPPY AS THE EMPLOYEES WERE!!!! YOU CANNOT SMELL MOLD AND STANK THROUGH A PICTURE!!!! YOU CANNOT SEE SEMEN STAINS ON A COUCH FROM A PICTURE!!!!! YOUR PICTURES DO NOT SHOW HOW DATED EVERYTHING IS!!!!!!! YOUR PICTURES DO NOT SHOW THE FILTH IN THE BOTTOM OF THE HOT TUBS!!!!! AND THERE ARE SEVERAL REVIEWS STATING HOW RUDE THE STAFF IS!!!!! The unmitigated gall!!!!! After that response I am so happy I didn't give you a dime of my money and I NEVER will. I will also let everyone I know know about your raggedy rooms and the staff and owner's raggedy attitudes!!!!!
GO ELSEWHERE PEOPLE!!!
Let me start by saying this...I refuse to lay my head just anywhere. Cleanliness is everything to me. So...I drove 4 hours to get there. After seeing the suites...I happily drove an additional two hours to go to Philly and stay at the AKA. At $500 a night...all inclusive or not...that hole in the wall ass place needs to be a million percent nicer. More modern. And cleaner. All of the decor was way old. Like seventies type nonsense. The room had a moldy smell. And the couch cushion had disgusting white stains on it. And the champagne hot tub looked disgusting. Like there was decades of filth imbedded into it. It was just all bad. The front desk staff...with their not very friendly selves...gave us another suite to look at. It didn't matter. Same deal minus the semen stains on the couch. If I'm paying $500 a night to stay somewhere...it should be spotless and breathtaking. So we left. According the snippy lil thing at the front desk the champagne suites are being updated in September. I really hope that's the truth.
We stayed at the champagne towers. Room was ok. Definitely can use a modern day upgrade. Not dirty but could use some tlc for the price you pay. Amenities closed to early. 7pm is pretty early for grown ups. Missed dinner because they closed at 8pm. Again to early. So I didnt get to try any food there. Went elsewhere. Bar was nice, band was good.
This was our first time at your resort. We had a wonderful time. The room was awesome and the food and service was fantastic. The activities were fun. The gift shop was really great with all the fun and beautiful things the store had to offer. The photographer was wonderful and we purchased a beautiful photo and frame. We hated to leave. We will definitely be back. We posted pictures of our trip on Facebook and will recover your resort to family and friends. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
So far everything is great. Food is top notch. Hats off to the chefs here at paradise stream. Rooms are massive In size. Everyone is so friendly. Not one complaint.
The room was ok, it was a little worn (wallpwallpaper in bathroom coming off and rugs worn out). My biggest problem was the extras they want to charge you. For example if you want to use the fireplace you have to pay for the fire log. Which is in the gift shop and if you don't happen to read the pamphlet they give you before 9pm, the gift shop closes and no fire place for you. The same goes for the Jacuzzi, you have to pay for bubbles. For $500+ for the night these little things should be included. It's a very cheap place..
Waiters were really nice but kept forgetting some food on our orders. They don't do breakfast in bed but it's advertised in their paperwork at check-in. Food presentation great and breakfast is wonderful. Very nice resort to relax and unwind. Housekeeping was really good and nice gift shop and game room. Overall very good wish we could have stayed longer. We want to come back at our earliest convenience. We appreciate the hospitality very much.
Booked the champagne tower room for almost $500 for one night. The room is dated, looks like nothing has been done in the last 20 years. We had a problem with the hot water and water pressure on the morning of checkout. The hot water was fix about 10am, but still the water pressure sucks. Maintenance said it would take some time the system is air bound. Contacted the front desk and asked about a later checkout because we still needed to eat Breakfast, take showers and wanted to use the jacuzzi that we paid for. I left in their hands for what they would do. They gave us an extra half hour, are you kidding me. You could also smell the cigarette smoke from the room next to us. We have stayed at the resort multiple times before we had kids and enjoyed it.
At this point I could not recommend anyone to stay here.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. Midweek and off season with a Groupon made this a great deal for us! We practically had the place to ourselves. We're very low maintenance so we didn't need much but when we did interact with staff they were friendly. We upgraded our room at check in with no problems and we were so glad we did! We enjoyed having our own private pool and sauna in addition to a heart shaped jacuzzi. The bed was comfortable but the wheels didn't lock. The bed would roll away from the headboard if we sat up against the headboard. Lots of comfortable pillows that wall fall down when the bed rolled away I misplaced my scarf and it was easy enough to retrieve. I was greatfull it was turned in. The shower door in our room didn't close properly so that was annoying. I would have expected the ladder to the private pool to be cleaner than it was, and there was a piece of tape or something stuck there we didn't put there so..We also noticed bags of linen would be left in piles on the sidewalks. I just think that kind of stuff shouldn't be left around for guests to see. While some things were a little annoying- nothing bad enough to keep us from going back! Definitely up for another stay-perhaps in the champagne tower next time!
Once again we stayed at Paradise Stream in Mount Poconos, PA .it was a wonderful getaway weekend. Even though where due a two-room upgrade, the room apparently were not available, still the apple garden room we had was nice.. the food and entertainment was very good. only few suggestions we had, the coffee station in the lobby should be on longer for guest to enjoy and during happy hour they have hors d'oeuvres what should be a little more than just cheese and crackers other than that I highly recommend Paradise Stream
This was a nice secluded place... bike riding, boating, trails and so much more. We even decide to participate in archery. The rooms were awesome Upgraded twice to a pool and spa in the room with full Jacuzzi all in the room, room service and Live entertainment. This was an All inclusive as well. We plan to go again...
I must say we really enjoyed our self, the entertainment was great. I like that we didn't have to leave the resort and there was so much to do. The staff was great and the food was awesome. I can't want to come back and the next time I want to stay a week.
The Service was horrible. We were sat down at the breakfast table and waitress just disappeared immediately and has not explained that there was a food bar that we had to get food from, no drinks offered. It took a great while before our waitress showed up at our table. The breakfast food bar - the food quality on a very low end. Ordered a Cesar salad at the bar and the dressing was NOT Cesar it was balsamic Dijon, when I brought this up I was told that it's how they make it. In the game room a lot of games just eat the tokens and that's it. Waste of money and no game - horrible. One of the shower heads on the shower did not work. When I tried connecting to WiFi I got an error message that 200 licenses exceeded I could not connect. Called front desk and got redirected to support, spend 45 minutes on phone before I could use WiFi. this should not be happening. When I went to front desc to bring up all the issues to their attention, I felt like that was a very little concern at all to my issues, I sensed indifference. I stayed at much cheaper hotels and my concerns were addressed in a much better way. For the price this place charges for their rooms IT IS JUST unacceptable.
We have had reasonably good experiences with this franchise in the past. This particular location was not as nice. Room was advertised to us as "refurbished". I did not see much that looked new. Rooms were poorly laid out and fridge smelled like a pizza. Drains were slow in the bathroom. Food and wait staff were excellent. Everyone on staff was very helpful. The facility is just worn looking.
I and my wife had so much fun the staff was polite the rooms was very clean i normally go to Atlantic city but i must admit this is my new getaway spot outdoor activities was great ill be back again for my wife birthday which is 07/31
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Apple of Eden suite for 2 nights. We originally had only booked a jacuzzi suite , but we were upgraded for free. We had a truly relaxing, romantic, and memorable experience from start to finish! I definitely planning on coming back! Clean and comfortable accommodations, friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend a roo. With a private pool...we spent alot of time floating around and relaxing in there.
Champagne rooms were expensive but pretty nice. Had many flaws, but we made it work. Food was good but a little inconsistent. Portions changed over different days of the same item. First time it was too much, next time too little. Activities were fun. My partner and I had a great time. Definitely recommend a visit. Cheers.
Super fun stay!! Went my husband for our honeymoon and all the daily activities were super fun music comedians , food was amazing , the servers were great. Even with little maintenance trouble they handle it really well sent help right away to get fixed.
This trip was for our 12th anniversary. We have returned to Paradise Stream Resort approximately 19 times in the 12 years since our honeymoon trip there. We have seen a lot of changes, some good and some bad, including 2 ownership changes in those years. Over the last 3-4 years our experience with the menu was not as good as the earlier years, but this years trip was a 100% improvement. The staff was more friendly and the menu was incredible with bringing back steak and lobster on Saturday night and the other themed night menus were very delicious. The new owners are investing millions of dollars in improvements to this property as well as the other 2 properties (Cove Haven and Pocono Palace) to bring them a little more up to date. We are looking forward to seeing these changes as we continue to stay at Paradise Stream Resort for many years to come, A+++ choice for a honeymoon trip or a romantic getaway trip. You can not beat the price for an all-inclusive resort , all you can eat, vacation trip.
This place could be beautiful, but it's run down and over priced. The rooms are stuck in 1985, and have not been maintained well. The carpet was worn out, the shower door didn't work properly, the pool cover was nasty looking and the tile stained. I will not return.
The room we stayed in was great. The food was so much better this time. The last time was 10 yrs ago. The different dining options were very delicious.
Just was not a good experience for me. We were excited about heading here until we got to the room and it was pretty outdated, not dirty just old so it appears a little dirty. Very dusty, the first night was a bit of bummer due all of the above. The second day we started to warm up to everything and having a good time hanging out in the hot tub and then we lost hot water so that died out relatively soon and the hot water still was not working the next morning when we re leaving. I would definitely not recommend this place to any of my peers and most likely will never return even if it was for free. I don t know how I could have stayed here more then 2 nights and was relieved to be heading home the next day. If you re looking for a getaway, go somewhere else.
Would love to hear how you will try to rectify these issues.
Overall, for the price of the stay, we were disappointed. The woman I spoke with before the stay was very nice, and the lady giving the shuttle was also friendly. We were told to call the kitchen before 1045 for food, and we called continuously until 10:45. When I finally called the front desk, they said they were closed. Thank goodness we were able to order dominoes. Our pool had a lot of floating "stuff" in it, so we didn't not use it. I couldn't stand up in the shower to wash my hair, and I'm 5'8". The bed was comfortable, and the tv worked fine. The hot tub was good, as well. The living room area was a little dirty. Our room was so hot, even with the air on and it was difficult to sleep.
We've previously stayed at Cove Haven and wanted a similar, but better experience. I would say they're both the same. There's many aspects I like. The service is great, entertainment and activities are also great. But, the grounds and cleanliness leave a lot to be desired. I honestly love the fact that the place hasn't been updated since the late 80s or early 90s and it would be great if that was the "theme" or part of the charm but it's really just because they don't want to put money into it unfortunately. For what you pay, even in the off season, that place should be reinvesting.
We all know what goes on in those rooms but that's all the more reason why they need to make sure they are absolutely spotless. Instead, there was visible mold in the shower, the heart-shaped tubs leave this gross brown sludge because they don't clean the jets properly (the exact same thing happened at cove haven) and the carpets need to be ripped out. They stink.
But, again, I was really happy with the service, activities and nightly entertainment. The staff works hard to make the goofiest activities really fun and to make sure you feel welcomed. The food was great and it was really convenient to the casino.
It would be worth the price tag if they just put a little extra love into the rooms.
I enjoy my getaway weekend with my wife is other experience very clean foods was delicious I will go back when warm up for more fun I know is there but it was kind of cold I love it
My girlfriend and I are going on a big trip this year but still wanted to do something for the specific day of our anniversary, so we started poking around ideas mostly sarcastically. There was a groupon for the champagne tower rooms here so this place won out.
The literal second we walked in the door to our room, we both started laughing. It is ABSURD in the best way. Mirrors are used all over the place to make it seem huge and amplify the effects of the red lights and the star lights on the ceiling. The layout of the room was optimized based on the footprint, and it was honestly pretty impressive the way they worked a loft setup, a heart-shaped pool, a dry sauna, a massage table, and a second-floor champagne glass Jacuzzi into what looks like any other motel room from the outside. We spent the first 10 minutes in the room just running around it finding new things and yelling WHAT?!
Some things about it are a little wonky, like the way that the fridge is in the carpeted "bathroom" and the vanity, shower, and toilet are all separated by weird angles and 10 feet of space, with the toilet tucked into a broom closet right off the Jacuzzi entrance. I found myself weirdly charmed by all the oddball stuff, just because it was unlike anything I'd seen before.
There's a lot of stuff to do, like ride bikes, play basketball, take out paddle boats, do archery, play mini golf, play ping pong, play racket ball, play pool, swim inside or outside (or in your own room in some cases), or go dancing at the night club (a term I use lightly, because this definitely isn't Borgata). It's definitely cool to just go do random things with your significant other in a closed-off environment like this.
All this said, I DO NOT recommend taking this place seriously. My girlfriend and I had a really great time, but we probably won't go back because we exhausted all there was to do. My worry is that people use this place as a cure-all for any relationship woes, and if that's your mission when booking a stay here, just don't. Yes the star lights in the ceiling are really pretty and cool. Yes, the champagne tower bath is really relaxing and romantic. Once you leave though, all that goes away and it's back to the grind. Use this place as a fun escape with someone you love (get away from the kids!!), but not as a solution to relationship problems.
It was disappointing. The room was advertised as "Newly Updated ". That was a joke. The furniture was broken. The ladder on the pool was disgusting. The fireplace was old and rusty. The dust was an inch thick in certain places. The stay was not cheap. The All-Inclusive rate, not worth the quality or choices of food. The whole place needs a major overhaul.
I stayed at Pocono Palace Paradise Stream Cove Haven I stayed at all the resorts all the rooms at these places are so run down and discussing the carpet has so much bacteria and the rooms are really dirty and nasty and dated the jacuzzi tubs have pubic hair all in them and they're dirty you can get some sort of disease by going into them the rooms need to be all brand new and redone the whole facility or else obviously your going to lose all the business because everybody is telling me that they're not going back to the redo the place there's too many other locations that are close by with beautiful brand new rooms and brand new locations and brand new facilities I recommend not staying there to the place is redone
Me and my husband went for my birthday 12/18 the room was beautiful and everyone was very nice and kind. When we came back to our room from a show .I saw ants crawling all over our clothing and towels, we call the front lobby and our room was changed immediately, we pack up and move to another room..But the whole time when i was at our new room i was scared to put my bags down and i didn't take our clothes out of the bag because i was thinking that i might be bringing ants home. So it was a uneasy stay.
My wife and I have been married for 27 years and needed to get away. I called Paradise Stream, booked a two night stay. We could not have been happier with the room, bed, food, the people everything. We will definitely be spreading the word on how great it was and will be planning another weekend.
Our room was not clean, it was very dusty and there was trash under the bed. We basically had to sleep with ants the first night because the room was infested with them. When we got in our in suite pool we found a huge piece of glass that my wife cut her foot on, when we got back to Baltimore we had to go to the ER for precautionary reasons.
