My girlfriend and I are going on a big trip this year but still wanted to do something for the specific day of our anniversary, so we started poking around ideas mostly sarcastically. There was a groupon for the champagne tower rooms here so this place won out.

The literal second we walked in the door to our room, we both started laughing. It is ABSURD in the best way. Mirrors are used all over the place to make it seem huge and amplify the effects of the red lights and the star lights on the ceiling. The layout of the room was optimized based on the footprint, and it was honestly pretty impressive the way they worked a loft setup, a heart-shaped pool, a dry sauna, a massage table, and a second-floor champagne glass Jacuzzi into what looks like any other motel room from the outside. We spent the first 10 minutes in the room just running around it finding new things and yelling WHAT?!

Some things about it are a little wonky, like the way that the fridge is in the carpeted "bathroom" and the vanity, shower, and toilet are all separated by weird angles and 10 feet of space, with the toilet tucked into a broom closet right off the Jacuzzi entrance. I found myself weirdly charmed by all the oddball stuff, just because it was unlike anything I'd seen before.

There's a lot of stuff to do, like ride bikes, play basketball, take out paddle boats, do archery, play mini golf, play ping pong, play racket ball, play pool, swim inside or outside (or in your own room in some cases), or go dancing at the night club (a term I use lightly, because this definitely isn't Borgata). It's definitely cool to just go do random things with your significant other in a closed-off environment like this.

All this said, I DO NOT recommend taking this place seriously. My girlfriend and I had a really great time, but we probably won't go back because we exhausted all there was to do. My worry is that people use this place as a cure-all for any relationship woes, and if that's your mission when booking a stay here, just don't. Yes the star lights in the ceiling are really pretty and cool. Yes, the champagne tower bath is really relaxing and romantic. Once you leave though, all that goes away and it's back to the grind. Use this place as a fun escape with someone you love (get away from the kids!!), but not as a solution to relationship problems.
