My wife and I stayed here for our 5th wedding anniversary. We had one of the Diana's Oasis suites which has the pool and heart shaped tub as well as a walk in shower. It is also the most recently renovated of the suites on the property. We arrived on a Thursday and left on a Tuesday which gave us a pretty good view of all the goings on for the week. Upon arriving the desk staff was friendly and we quickly had our keys. We drove around to our suite and were pretty pleased upon entry. Everything was clean and nice. The only issue we had was a loose door knob on the bathroom which was fixed within 10 minutes of a call to the front desk. That might be the fastest service I've ever had on any issue at a hotel. Otherwise we had no other issues in our room during our entire stay. While the exterior of many buildings on the property and the interior of several buildings was dated the staff seems to be continually hard at work to keep things orderly and in reasonably repair and cleanliness. Considering the age of the property I'd definitely give the entire staff a huge kudos on that work. The breakfast was pretty standard on week days with an increase in options on the weekend particularly Sunday morning. You could always order a few items like pancakes or an omlette from the kitchen and the staff was as accommodating of tastes as possible. For dinner the menu was varied with several them nights. If there was one disappointment it was probably Sunday dinner which included 2 salad options from the kitchen vs. the salad bar that was available every other evening. Perhaps it is hard with the small number of guests at a Sunday dinner but it was a big plus other nights. The main dish was also not particularly great compared to other meals but still good. The night club where most evenings can be spent is dark and dated with a 1920s art deco theme. The entertainment as you can imagine was better on the weekend with bands on Friday and Saturday as well as other entertainers. I would say the biggest let down overall was the thin crowd and lack of enthusiasm from guests even for this weekend evening events. Not for lack of trying by both staff and entertainers. We did a number of trips off site during our stay but between scheduled events with staff or time simply lounging by the pool or using some of the other diverse amenities you could definitely fill you time on site as you see fit. Probably our favorite feature was the fire pit which is gas and has a large stone bench around it. Great spot to sit out late most nights when it is on. Overall we had a great time and it is definitely worth checking out at least once.
