Best place I've EVER lived! The staff is absolutely incredible. We love living here and did resign our lease in the summer. They're very communicative with their residents about things affecting the community and try to put on a good amount of events. The apartments are really nice, the garage is extremely spacious and there are a lot of spots, great storage units for rent onsite, and the maintenance staff is unbelievably helpful. The community is safe, the residents are nice, and everything is really clean and well taken care of. Whenever we've had an issue, it was always handled professionally and well. Also, they have a GREAT gym, beautiful rooftop, fun game room, nice pool area (though the pool is tiny), and great common rooms.

Only real critique i have is that they seem to do a lot of fire alarm testing and only give a day or two of notice. Our dog doesn't do well with the alarm so we try to stay home so we can take him out when it goes off. Once we were unable to do so and couldn't get a dog walker/sitter to come. I told the management about my concern and one of the leasing staff members John H. (I think he's a supervisor now) actually volunteered to go get the dog and take him outside during the testing!!! Granted that's not a service that they offer and was a one-off, but it was INCREDIBLE customer service. They truly care about their residents.

If you take public transit, they just started a shuttle service to the metro (and I hope it's a success so they expand the hours and days it runs) and there's a bus stop nearby.

We're so happy we'd probably stay if we remain in the area. The rent increased about $50 a month when we resigned our lease, so I'm not sure we could justify doing that again the next time for the same amount of space, but I highly recommend this place.

I just recently moved in and have only been at Avalon Potomac Yard for 2 weeks (after looking at 10 locations in the Alexandria area). I didn't experience all the changes that longer residents have gone through, so I can't attest to what happened in the past. That said, first impressions are everything, and so far I've been super impressed with the management and the community. Special thanks to Carolyn as her attention to detail, friendliness and personality are exemplary. So far, I am absolutely enjoying my experience. I love how convenient the residence is located to everything...including Giant, Target, Best Buy and a ton of restaurants. It's very quick to 495 and 395 and a quick ride to Crystal City, Old Town Alexandria and DC. As for those who complain about thin walls and noisy neighbors, I think they are just SUPER sensitive. The noise is not a problem at all unless you expect EXTREME peace and quiet all the time. Personally, I like the hustle and bustle of the area. Anyways, would highly recommend as the location is great the the price point is very reasonable compared to locations around it.

Edward Neverson has been amazingly helpful with the transition between Avalon apartments. Making it super smooth and easy and answering all my questions along the way!

I submitted my request on Thursday evening and by Friday afternoon it was completed. I am very happy with the work done and with the results.

I've always appreciated the hard work of Chris , Ariel and the rest of his maintenance team, but in the midst of this pandemic, their work is even more so appreciated. Great staff. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. Chris helped fixed an issue I had with my air conditioner the other day. It only took a few minutes and it was done. I got locked out one time and he helped me get back into my unit right away. Everyone is dependable and easy to get in touch with.

We have lived here at Potomac Yard Apartments since Aug 2017 and absolutely love it. We love the close shopping and restaurants or the fact we can catch the Metroway bus into town or to the Metrorail system. My wife especially loves having the running track and dog walk areas, with grass and not all concrete as with other places we looked at prior to moving in. Highly recommended!

Great community to live in. Everything I need is at my finger tips. I feel very safe and I appreciate how impeccable all areas of both buildings are kept, hats off to the maintenance crew. All of my requests are taken care of promptly and with great consideration. I feel very lucky to call this place home.

Got a problem with our apartment and at a heartbeat, the maintenance people fixed it. Vincent was so courteous and so efficient. Kudos to the maintenance tea.

The maintenance team at Avalon Potomac Yard is extremely efficient, professional, and responsive. Submitting my maintenance tickets on Avalon Access took me less than 5 minutes, Chris and Ariel were at my door shortly after. They thoroughly investigated and addressed multiple issues.

I love my apartment, especially my balcony and big walk in closet.

We absolutely love where we live! We have a perfect size apartment for the two of us plus our furry family member. We have an incredible view of D.C. and the river and the location is prime! We use all of the amenities and our pup is very happy to have so many place to walk, especially with the dog park nearby. The staff are so wonderful and help with anything we need. I have to call out Angelique, Edward, and Chris for being especially wonderful and always having a smile on their faces! Chris and the maintenance team are always so helpful and are there whenever I need them! We are very grateful to have found this apartment. Also, we have not had any problems with noise while living here and all of our neighbors are very friendly.

The management staff is excellent. We had a minor maintenance issue that initially we thought was going to turn into a huge ordeal. This was quickly turned around and solved very promptly to great satisfaction. Having to unfortunately break our lease due to work relocation, we informed the management team and they were more than accommodating throughout the entire process. This is a team that is willing to work with its residents at every turn and do what is needed to satisfy the situation.

Just moved in, and loving the apartment already. Very clean, and new styled building with modern features, luxury finishes, and a great space to call home. The building itself is cozy, and the amenities such as the gym, pool, and common room are all very well kept and accommodating. There is some noise from neighbors upstairs, but that's to be expected and I feel as though if it was a permanent issue, the front office would gladly help me. The location of this property is perfect if you are commuting to most northern VA cities or DC. There is a shopping certain minutes from the front door, and a running/biking trail parallel to the community. You really can't beat the location, style, and features for the price. Seriously consider this property in your decision, it was definitely the right one for us.

My wife and I lived at Avalon Potomac for one year. The staff is very nice (John is great), but unfortunately will not do much when you complain about noise, the walls are very thin and you can hear everything from all four sides. The real problems come when you move out. One of the front staff members was rude and was not helpful in the least bit. After we moved out of the apartment we were never informed of the move out inspection. A few months later I received a call from Avalon telling us that we owed over $700.00, after I had them break it down they told me that they had to replace the carpet. I knew that something was wrong because A) there was nothing wrong with our carpet when we moved out, and B) we were never told when they were doing the move out inspection. After a few months of going back and forth they finally told me that we no longer owed for the carpet. Either A) they never replaced it and were trying to charge us or B) since we weren't notified of the last inspection we did not have to pay. Either way, shady company.

I moved into Avalon Potomac Yard over two years ago and so happy to call this place home. The team at APY is friendly, helpful and always willing to go above and beyond. From the moment I moved in Angelique s smile lights up the room. Last month when I was traveling for a week I had a perishable package arrive. Eddie was kind enough to deliver to my apartment and ensure the items were put into the freezer. I highly recommend Avalon at Potomac Yard to friends looking for a place to call home.

The maintenance team is very wonderful, especially Chris. He was so attentive to the needs of our apartment and helped with accurate fixes for us. Thank you, Chris!

After a year (and still going) living at the Avalon @ Potomac Yard, the battery to the digital lock on my door finally lost its charge. I was locked out of my apartment on a Saturday night at 7:30pm. I called the emergency line and Chris (in maintenance) came to my rescue within 10 minutes. He put a new battery in my lock and made sure it was fully charged. Chris is reason 1243454 to live at the Avalon @ Potomac Yard. This is a first-class community and the Management Team truly cares about your needs and living experience.

Adrian, Chris, and Andre are trustworthy and respectable team members here at the Avalon. I have been a resident for four (4) years and I am impressed with the professionalism and promptness to answering any concerns regarding public safety and comfort around all maintenance matters.

They are professional, astute, and prompt to ensure my leasing experience has been comfortable.

Vincent is amazing! He came the same-day to fix our 2 apartment issues, was very attentive to our concerns, and fixed the issues super quickly! We truly love living at Avalon Potomac Yards and especially love and appreciate the maintenance crew.

The maintenance team at the building is great. The are friendly, responsive and very knowledgeable. Their have been multiple events in which the team has gone above and beyond to help me with my issues. The apartment is also very tech friendly for all my nerds out there.

Nice place with great amenities and location. The downside is the walls are paper thin. We can hear our neighbors ( above us and on both sides) every step and sometimes their conversation.

Service requests are promptly responded to and usually resolved on the first visit. Vincent is wonderful and respectful of your apartment. He always says hi when you see him around the complex. The entire staff is very helpful. This is a great place to call home!

We have been living here since the beginning of the year and we love it here. The grounds are kept up and the staff in the leasing office and the maintenance crew are beyond helpful. The only downside is the walls are a bit too thin, so you can hear neighbors sometimes. But honestly, that is pretty minor in the grand scheme of things! Its also very affordable to be living in a beautiful space so close to dc. We uber into the city for about 5-10 bucks.

Avalon Potomac Yard staff (especially Pierre) is outstanding, friendly and go out of the way to help tenants. I was locked out of my apartment a few times at odd hours, but Pierre was extremely quick to respond, at times in under 15 minutes. I was very impressed by his response time and professionalism. Submitted my service request before I went to bed and when I cam home from work the following day everything was done, super service and this has been my experience for all previous service calls.

I have been living at Avalon at Potomac Yard for a few months now (~4 months). So far, so good! The few issues that we have had to report to maintenance have quickly been resolved. The leasing staff is also very welcoming & friendly. We were given our tour by Carolynn who has since left but she was absolutely wonderful. Angelique helped us with our move in process and she's also equally great with the best attitude ever! We've had no issues with noise or anything major to be honest. It's beautiful, quiet, folks are very pleasant and the apartment itself is perfect.

Avalon is a great place to live in. The amenities are well maintained. It is located in a great area surrounded by stores, and everything is near by.
The maintenance team is excellent, specially Chris Guzman. Chris does a five star job, has great knowledge of his work, excellent customer service, and always resolves the service requests promptly.

Not my first time living in an Avalon building. Potomac Yard sets a very high standard for quality apartment living with friendly staff and well kept grounds. My suggestion would be to implement more community wide events.

The leasing agent Edward was so helpful! Very informative and friendly. He helped me pick out the perfect apartment for my son and his wife, who were moving from across the United States. Thank you Edward!

The maintenance team, especially Chris does a really great job of staying on top of maintenance requests. Chris has been very helpful in the last year and half that we have lived here in ensuring we have all of our maintenance requests from changing special light bulbs, unclogging shower drains to changing air filters are met timely.

The only issue we had was when we did not have AC for a couple months during the summer but it seemed like that was happening a lot. I'd also think maybe some additional training should be done on fixing AC because we had submitted several requests saying something was not right and we were told it was fine... For example, the temperature gun they pointed at the AC vent was in the mid 60s....so it seems fine...however, that's not right because it should have been blowing much colder since it needs to go throughout the entire apartment. The AC vent did not work correctly when it was blowing in the mid 60s and causing the apartment to heat up more than what the unit was set to.

Luckily we had a temporary window unit put in place but it did take a while to fix because they kept needing to order parts. The delays seemed to have been due to authorization to proceed thresholds as it was expensive to fix the AC. Therefore, I think Chris did a great job at trying to fulfill the request but was delayed on approvals to buy the specific parts.

Had put a work order in for a light that went out and received great, quick service from Ariel! Ariel even offered and replaced my air filter and switched out a second light at the same time too.

This review is to mention how wonderful the maintenance staff is. Chris on the maintenance team is so reliable and attentive whenever I have an issue in my apartment. Not only that but just an overall nice person! He has been so great during my time at Avalon Potomac Yard. Also want to mention Lenny, one of the community consultants. Always so kind and helpful.

Cannot get a decent cell phone signal inside apt. Bizarre! So, if you have AT&T, don't rent here. Otherwise, the place is fantastic.

I love living here. The area is phenomenal and so is the front office staff. Angelique and Ed always go above and beyond for Aspen (my fur baby) and me. Angelique and Ed are attentive and accommodating. They make you feel welcomed to the Avalon Community and create events where residents can meet and mingle with one another. The maintenance team is terrific as well. I entered a ticket at noon and by the time I got home at 4:45 pm the issue was resolved.

The area is a fantastic dog-friendly community with tons of trails that you can take your pup for walks, or even set up a playdate with other dogs that live in the building. Aspen loves living here so much that he has to stop by the front office to say hi every time he goes out for a walk.

The staff at Avalon Potomac Yard are all fantastic. The maintenance staff (Pierre & Vincent) are great -- the customer service from them, has been prompt, professional and top notch. Thanks Avalon!

Vince is the best! Always takes care of what s needed and does it with a smile on his face! I swear my dog likes him better than me! Vince is an outstanding employee!

I am a recent residents, And I just wanna say the maintenance staff Is very intentive They have been on time for everything I've requested for with no question I've met Chris and hes been nothing but a helping hand, Thank you for your hard work.

I"ve been a resident for several months and have nothing but great things to say about the Avalon Potomac Yard. The leasing office and maintenance crew are top notch professional and friendly. We had an issue with our key pad and they fixed it the same day. The staff at the front office know me by my first name and am always treated with respect and feel valued. The gym, pool room and out door facilities are amazing and great places to meet new people. The facilities are always clean and orderly. The apartments have beautiful finishes and floors. Everything is top notch. Its a great place to live. I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering making this their new home.

I just renewed for year number two at The Alric. Love my apartment. Very unique layout. There was lots to choose from in the beginning, but I was one of the first ones in. The other units I had visited or been in are really pretty unique. Lots of "green touches" throughout, which I think is great. Really good amenities throughout the property. The complex hosts events throughout the year, which is great for those looking for something to do. Also, great way to connect with neighbors. For the most part, an extremely friendly community. I have an inside courtyard unit, which I really enjoy. A little loud in the summer, but to be expected. Excellent cookout facilities also. The apartments are constructed of wood, so noise can sometimes carry. But it has not been an issue for me. I also like the mid-rise living. All the amenities of a high rise, but not as many people. Only drawback is not a lot of amenities in the area like sandwich shops, small stores, etc. But they will come. A beautiful new Giant did just open within walking distance. The complex staff is great to work with. Many remember my name from the beginning. Original Manager, Lori, was awesome. I highly recommend this place.

I was worried about getting into a lease and then being unsatisfied with the experience but John and his team are really good at taking care of their tenants! We cant wait to officially move in and be apart of this awesome community!

I miss the old manager/ management and staffs in here. tho i have nothing to complain with the maintainance team. they are the best. if not for them, this deserves a zero. the management is very unwelcoming. you dont feel you are welcome in the office if you ask something. they just dont have the customer service personality. finally, i was not able to leave this place. im happy to my new place now. i wish they can bring back all the old crew at the leasing office.

You guys!!!! Chris on the maintenance staff is probably my favorite person...ever. He has been to my apartment quite a few times in the past few days to help with some issues we have been having. He is always so friendly, kind and professional. He even threw the toy for my dog who wouldn t leave him alone earlier today. My dog even loves Chris :)

He has great attention to detail and always communicates exactly what his next move will be if he doesn t have the parts to fix things right away. Chris is the type of guy that truly cares about helping people and fixing things and it shows. If I ever started my own business I would want someone like Chris on my team. You guys at Avalon are very lucky to have him and I feel lucky to know him as well.

I love these apartments, the property is so clean and chic. Vincent from Maintenance is wonderful (always says hi and wants to know how our apartment is doing )and extremely helpful and always on top of things. Couldn t ask for a better place to live. The employees are great here too.

I will like to commend Chris for excellent customer service he continues to display everytime we have made a request for maintanance. He is very courteous but still maintains professionalism when dealing with us.

We lived here for a year, if you are looking for location it is great however the lack of privacy and nose with the price you will pay you can find better. After moving out not only did they charged a cleaning fee ( my unit was clean even have video and photos to prove it ) they also changed a 210 damage fee for one small stain on the carpet but the worst part is AFTER moving out THEY CC OVER 200 PEOPLE IN ONE EMAIL THAT CONTAINED PERSONAL INFORMATION ( email address etc. ) I HAVE NOW CONTACTED A LAWYER. NOW SCAM ARTIST HAVE EVERYTHING THEY NEED AND IT WAS ALL BC OF AVALON BAY. DO NOT MOVE HERE. IF ANYONE HAS ANYMORE QUESTIONS, PLEASE REACH OUT. DO NOT TRUST CUSTOMER SERVICE OR THE OFFICE WORKERS.

Chris & Ariel are awesome. Very great maintenance service, answers all your questions and are quick when you send a request.Also very important, extremely friendly. Recently moved in and just had a great experience with them.

While I was apartment hunting, I toured at least 20 locations. Avalon at Potomac Yard won me over with their amenities, the apartment size, modern appliances, and layout. The staff is absolutely amazing and very helpful. My dog is a happy camper as well due to the numerous walking trails in the area. I highly recommend Avalon!

This review will save you from making a decision you will come to regret. I'm going to be severely honest and will start with the good.
1. Location and convenience is a life saver as its right across the street from Giant, Target and other shopping in which I absolutely LOVE. The area in my opinion is safe I've never seen anything bad but I can only speak for the past 6 months as that's how long I've been a resident.
2. I don't have to drive to the grocery store unless i choose to go to another grocers even Harris Teeter is in walkable distance (about a mile)
3. Public Transportation is good I take the bus to work in Crystal City it picks up right in front of Giant and drops off in the same vicinity so again no driving.. Although after COVID19 I'll be rethinking public transportation.
Now for the bad so read carefully.
1. Noise is awful - I hear the neighbors dogs barking but that i can deal with its the noise from humans i can't tolerate.
My lease will be up in just a few more months and i assure you it will be over.
All the people that has given great reviews must live on the top floor or have a quiet neighbor like myself. Constant stomping across the floor all day dragging furniture and they play their TV extremely loud (maybe its to drown out the noise that they hear above them who knows but its awful. I have a 2 bedroom and i can't work in my spare bdr because the television is so loud.

The walls are SUPER thin in my master bedroom I can hear them snoring above me and stomping across the floor and dude its carpet in the bedrooms so that should tell you something.

I can hear them in the bathroom peeing the pipe system is also loud flushing the toilet sounds like a stampede coming down the walls. I'm also a content creator on youtube and it's sometimes difficult to record because of the noise sometimes i just edit it into my content.

2. Besides the noise let me inform you of the apartment itself, at first glance you'll think it's nice but heres what to look for.
a. theres no lighting in any of the bedrooms you'll need to get lamps
b. theres no lighting in the living room you'll need to get lamps.
c. power outlets are spread around and don't make much sense so if you have extra stuff to plug in you'll need extension cords.
d. theres a window and sliding door in the master bedroom don't open it, in fact don't even open the blinds because bugs will find their way in somehow.
e. the apartment makes no sense,, there's no storage space so if you have appliances such as blenders pressure cookers etc. you'll have to store them either above the fridge or under the sink because that's the ONLY cabinet large enough to fit anything. You'll have to store your pots and pans in the bottom drawer under the oven. Which I hate doing. Some of my things i couldn't even unpack because of the storage issue.
d. the cabinets in the bathroom are awful they use those metal wire cabinets so you'll need baskets to put your stuff in because most bottles will not stand up on it.
e. the hallway cabinet is a joke nothing will fit in there.
d. my apartment has the stackable washer and dryer, I HATE IT. The dryer door will not stay open so you'll bang your head on the dryer door when bending down and up to get your clothes from the washer to put them in the dryer.

I wish the renters before me would have warned me but i'm sure they couldn't get out of hear fast enough. Before I move i'll update this review with the floor and apartment number I'm in so you'll know which one to stay away from. Who knows maybe you can deal with it better than me. These apartments are way too expensive to have to deal with all the noise being that they're not cheap the construction of them is extremely poor quality so move in at your own risk you've been warned.

Chris and his team did a wonderful job, they have great customer service! They made us feel comfortable in our own home! We had two different emergencies and both times they were here within minutes to fix the issues, they went above and beyond. Chris gave us a little knowledge of the solution to the problems and made sure we were in the loop of what was going on! We can trust Chris to resolve an issue at first without having to come back. Thanks Chris and team!

Have been living at this apartment complex for 3 years and have had a great overall experience. Small set-backs however management has always listened to my concerns and made them right. The team is always improving indenturing residents are happy and most importantly safe. The maintenance team is always available and takes care of concerns quickly, Vincent however always ensures you feel like family! Thank you Avalon team for making my stay nothing but positive.

Chris, Kyle and Ariel are a wonderful Maintenance Team to have in our building. Upon moving in we put in a couple of maintenance requests. Kyle and Chris were very polite and addressed the situation in a very timely manner and made sure that we (the tenants) were very satisfied with the outcome of the jobs done. As a tenant, It is a very nice feeling to have such a reliable and able Maintenance Team available for the little stuff but also of course for any big emergencies which Thank God we haven't had so far.

The maintenance crew is amazing. Chris and team have solved our issues in a timely manner whether fixing lights or replacing batteries in smoke detectors or suggesting we request our air filters be changed more often. He cares about us and that shows!

Great office staff! Building is extremely clean and they're planning more upgrades with the new management.

I absolutely loved the time I spent at Avalon Potomac Yard. You probably don t want to be bored and read through an essay of a review so I ll touch on the points I found most important.

Location: With Alexandria in my opinion, being the center point of the DMV, it was too convenient to drive, order a ride, bike, and take the metro to my final destination. Uber/Lyfts were around 12 dollars to DC, and my commute to work was great due to the ease of access to major highways and transiting areas. And whenever I had to go to the airport, I could practically bike there. Not to mention the convenience of living right next door to a grocery store and a shopping center.

Staff: One of the friendliest and quickest management/maintenance teams I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. The front office team was always so friendly and attentive, they were great! The maintenance team always completed my service requests the same day and were always checking up on the residents asking if everything was alright. I couldn t say enough great things about the team working here.

Apartment: Pretty prime apartment spaces and the amenities were all you would need. The pool could be a little bigger, but I never used it so I don t have much to complain about.

Parking: You do have to pay a garage fee, but its worth it since it is climate controlled and keeps your vehicle safe from the elements. It is possible to park on the street without having to pay as well, but if you want to keep your car looking good, I suggest buying into the parking garage.

Overall: I absolutely loved my stay, my only warning would be the price for the units. But in the DMV, and especially in this area, you get what you pay for, and the Avalon at Potomac Yard is money well spent!

I have placed a couple maintenance requests, for minor issues, and two outstanding employees took care of my issues asap. Chris and Ariel were professional, knowledgable and most importantly, friendly. I know whenever I place a maintenance request, I have trustworthy people I can count on!

Management has changed three times and I'm still within the first year of my lease. Moreover, there are noise issues over the past 7 months. Additionally the elevators have been out of service three times. There are just too many items to overlook.

Avalon potomac yard is an excellent place for a family to live. The appartements are beautiful and very well maintained. Any time we put in a trouble ticket somebody was there within twenty-four hours to fix it! Much of the staff actually live on site which I loved because I think it contributed to the excellent management of the building. We never had problems with mold out dirty common areas either. Even when rude people would leave boxes in the trash rooms it was removed very quickly. Even the elevators were cleaned frequently! Potomac yard park is within walking distance on very safe walking areas and is the best park I've been to.

I made the best decision leasing with Avalon Potomac Yard Apartments in Alexandria!!! Excellent customer service from day one. And my experience after a month living here couldn t be any better thanks to Chris in the maintenance crew who makes life simpler by proving top of the notch service. Great community that has met all of my expectations. Thank you.

I contacted the leasing office to inquire about an apartment home for rent and the leasing agent I spoke to (Todd) was very short when it came to answering my questions. I felt rushed during our brief conversation which was very rude! I'm disappointed as I really wanted to live at this property, but if the staff are not helpful and unpleasant, than I refuse to spend my hard earned money here.

We are new residents and just want to express our thanks to John in the leasing office for helping get our move accomplished so quickly. A special thanks to Carol who has been most welcoming and very helpful during our transition to Potomac Yard. And a shout out to the maintenance guys, Chris & Ariel, for their prompt assistance and friendliness. All of you have done so much to make us feel right at home!

Love my apartment and everyone is generally really friendly. Omar in the main office is the nicest guy in the world--he remembered my name after only briefly meeting me once and always stops to say hello. He is always willing to help and always has such a pleasant demeanor--he should be running the whole place!! Maintenance is also amazing! Pierre and Vincent are always happy to help with anything and go above and beyond constantly to make sure my needs are met. My only complaint is that the pool is really really tiny, so it's pretty uncomfortable to swim in there with multiple people.

We love our building and apartment! The location is great, right in the heart of Old Town, Del Ray and Crystal City/Pentagon City. Lots of walking trails and shopping near by. The front office staff John, Carol, and Lenny are super helpful and friendly, as well as the cleaning and service staff, with a special shout out to Chris, he's always around with a smile and quick to help out with any repairs we need.

The maintenance crew is ABSOLUTELY fantastic. We have had a couple of issues with our washing machine lately. First, Chris showed up to our apartment within the hour of submitting a claim to resolve the issue. Second, Chris determined that our washing machine needs to be replaced and he did so within three days. I cannot thank the maintenance crew enough for their professionalism and amazing work. We absolutely love Avalon and everyone that works here, from Carol the community manager, to Kyle the maintenance manager, to everyone else that makes this place clean and perfect. Thank you so very much!

I dont know where to start. This place has it all. Amenities are worth the fee, the space in the apartments was well thought out especially for couples in 1 bed rooms, the appliances are very nice, and to top it off the people who work here are pleasant, caring, and committed to their residents. Dont think twice about moving here, just do it.

Edward provided a very detailed walk through; he was exceptional and very knowledgeable on quality of life issues for our entire family. He sincerely made us feel like we were already home, with zero pressure. In sum, he rescued us from our exhausting apartment hunting experience, as we selected Avalon to be our home following the visit.

I am very impressed so far. The staff, including Ryan, are very friendly and helpful with the transition. The buildings are very clean and well kept by the maintenance crew, including Chris, who was quick and professional. Neighbors seem to be approachable and quiet hours is respected.

I have been a resident at Avalon Potomac Yard for two years and Vince always provides me with great service whenever needed. Most recently he fixed my broken kitchen sink just in time for the first game of NFL season Vince always comes through!

I ve been living here for a few months and I love it here leasing office always happy to answer any questions do you have and cleaning crew always on top of cleaning most common surface, I have a feeling that they care who is living here and honestly I can call it HOME

I just moved into Avalon Potomac Yards and I couldn't be happier with this experience. The apartments are beautiful, amenities are awesome, and the staff is very nice and helpful! Chris and Andre in maintenance have been very prompt and pleasant with me being sure to assist me with any issue I have as soon as possible, if any. Angelique has also been very helpful making sure to get any request that I have to maintenance as soon as possible. The area is also very convenient being near multiple grocery stores, a movie theatre, Target (My FAVE!), Pet's Mart, etc. I love seeing all of the beautiful dogs throughout the community and I look forward to making friends with my fellow neighbors. All my friends are just as impressed with this apartment as I am. I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment complex.

We lived at Avalon Potomac Yard for over 3 years. Our overall experience was great. Wonderful community, amenities, and location. Everyone from the leasing office is super nice, always try to help, especially, Angelique, Edward and Ryan.

This community is great. I called this building home for two and a half years. The property is impeccably maintained, the location is perfect and my apartment was great.

The team in the leasing office are awesome. They are always friendly and willing to help with anything you might need. The maintenance team is fast and friendly too. They consistently have events to keep the neighbors engaged with each other.

My time at Avalon Potomac Yard was great in every way.

First off, the maintenance man is very creepy. He would always ask me for a date every time I saw him and I had to start avoiding him. He made me really uncomfortable.

Second Angelique was extremely rude to me when I moved out. She yelled at me on the phone and accused me of throwing my keys at her which I most certainly did not. I told the manager, Todd (I think his name) about it and he completely dismissed me. He called me a liar, saying, that doesn t sound like the woman I know and said, were trying to run a business and that they have hundreds of residents so my needs are not important. She had always annoyed me because she never says please or thank you and always acts like she is doing you favors even though she is doing her job, but yelling at residents is way over the line.

They stole my security deposit, charging me nearly 200 dollars for a small stain as they call it that showed up only under blacklight and could easily be cleaned, but no they wanted to replace the whole carpet. They also charged 95 for trash removal even though I had left not a single scrap of trash in the apartment!!! They later amended this but would not return my money for the stain.

Also, my ground floor apartment flooded.

Look somewhere else!!!

One of the most fantastic properties I've ever had the pleasure to rent from. The office staff is incredibly helpful. I've had a few instances where the office staff will deliver packages into my apt. when I'm not home (always with permission). I've never had an apt. community volunteer to do that for me. The place is always clean and the amenities are worth the annual fee. There's a ton of parking both in the garage and outside the building. Cannot say enough great things about this place.

Chris is the Man...helped me out on multiple occasions with a smile on his face and pep in his step, true customer service oriented that man! I think it's time for a raise Avalon..just sayin!

Although we are new to apartment living, any apprehension was completely unfounded . The maintenance team, Chris and Kyle, have been extremely knowledgeable, prompt and courteous in addressing our concerns. They assured us that they would repair everything in a timely manner based on parts and availability, and they were true to their word. We would also like to thank the leasing team for their kindness and prompt help. The summer intern is a wonderful addition to the staff as well. Avalon is definitely a wonderful place to live.

Love my apartment. Big and spacious with new appliances and great location. Live close to bus stop that take you directly to Metro Station.

We have absolutely loved living here at Avalon Potomac Yard this past month and look forward to continue settling in to this nice community. The office staff have been kind, professional and personable from the very start. The amenities (package delivery service, gym, rooftop terrace, etc.) are all so convenient and enjoyable. Everything is well maintained and people seem happy living here. Our two dogs have been happy, too, and love the occasional treat they get from the stash in the front lobby after going potty.

I want to give a special shout-out to Chris and Ariel from the maintenance team. They have been so helpful, communicative, professional and reassuring since our move-in. They've resolved every little inquiry of ours quickly and have honestly MADE our experience here. Thank you, Chris and Ariel!

For anyone looking for a solid apartment community to call home, I recommend you consider this one. We moved in sight unseen and haven't regretted it.

Just moved in a few days ago and the entire staff has been absolutely amazing; Carol and Lenny in particular with several assists from Angelique. Appreciate the flexibility and willingness to work with my requests.

The maintenance support is equally awesome. Chris was there promptly and even came out late night to assist. Very professional and courteous.

We just moved in but it has been great. Everyone is so helpful in the office!!

My husband and I have lived here for about 8 months now and could not be happier with our decision. We went signed a lease sight unseen (from from out of state) and everything was exactly as described. We went from a 2 bed/2 bath to a 1 bed/1 bath and were concerned the space would be too small, but with all of the amenities and extra space in the community, we don't even notice. The unit itself has awesome upgrades, great use of space, and huge ceilings. It honestly doesn't feel like a 762 sqft apt! The staff is totally amazing too! They always have events going on and their communication with the residents is wonderful! Can't say enough good things about this place, will not be leaving anytime soon!

This place is awesome! My fiance and I were looking for a nice apartment close to DC but without the crazy prices and we found it. Everyone in the leasing office was very friendly and helpful. We were able to go on a self tour - which we'd never done before, and it was great! It allowed us to look around at the place without the pressure of taking too long. The apartment itself and the community are beautiful. The location is very convenient, across the street from grocery store, movie theater, and many other stores and restaurants. Needless to say we put in an application the same day.

Angelique has been awesome throughout the move in process. Apartments are new and the facilities are nice.

I recently moved into the Avalon Potomac Yard apartments after living in Miami, Florida for nearly 15 years. While visiting family in the Washington, DC area, I looked at many apartments in the Northern Virginia area. I found this complex charming, hospitable, and professional. It is also quiet, convenient, and most accessible to shops and public transportation. Overall, it is ideally located to nearby DC when going to and from the city attractions.

The maintenance team out here is excellent! Chris responded to an incident on a Sunday afternoon very quickly. He came in and resolved the issue in a short time. Very clean and professional job. Not to mention, he is an extremely nice guy.
