Alek was very knowledgeable about the security systems. He had a great attitude and took pride in his job. As a salesman myself, I know how important it is to have great product knowledge and Alek took it to the next level. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Guardian home security system.

We were having major issues with the doorbell camera. We sent a message through the AMP app. We received a callback 2 days later from Armida.. she was very friendly. Repeated back our issues so she had a clear understanding of all of the issues. She was very knowledgeable and it seems to be working. She let us know that the device only had about 75% wireless internet support. She ran some tests. Gave us information on how to check and make updates on the website. It seems changes via the app work as well as every other companies apps. Use the website

This company is absolutely horrible. Worst decision I ever made was going with them. They have TERRIBLE customer support and technicians. I asked to speak with a manager multiple times and the answer was my mangers are always in meetings. I ve had technicians at my house 5 times in the last two months. The first four times the guy didn t know what he was doing. If you can go with another company DO IT! My experience with them has been awful. I ve been without a doorbell camera for two months and nobody seemed to care. Use a company that knows what they are doing.

My home was setup by Jeff Carter. He was a very helpful rep and was very informative about the product. My main concern was the kids in the neighborhood that were messing with my Jeep in the driveway. AMP paid for me to have an outdoor camera as well as a doorbell cam. It s nice to buy from a company that builds the system to your needs and doesn t just give you the same basic package they d give anyone.

The experience I had with the door to door salesman was a JOKE. Despite having a "No Soliciting" sign on my door he knocked anyway and said he wasn't selling anything but obviously he is trying to sell security, which I cannot wait to contact the city of Layton about. I spoke to him and told him no thank you. HE CAME BACK. Again I told him we are not interested and then he started telling me through my window that I was so nice to not even talk to him and I must be a really nice person. Um what?? I am so glad I never agreed to do business with this company if this is who they have representing them.

I have been using my alarm system, set up by AMP Security, for a few months now. This is the first system I have ever had and it is very easy to use. Matt did an excellent job of making sure it was a good set up for my business. I would absolutely recommend them to my friends and family.

Amp was great the first month we had it. Then issues began to arise causing us to have to deal with technician support and customer service over the phone which is a joke. The service extended over the phone is done with no experience or training provided and all you get is attitude from the people. They schedule and charge you for having to send someone back to your house when there was items changed by customer service and tech support and then even the installer can t fix it. We have had items replaced and yet it still isn t correct. We are now at our 3 year mark and can t get to 5 yrs quick enough! We have emailed asking To be relieved of our contract and of course, that great customer service gives us no response. So fair warning... don t sign up on the 60 month basis.

Joey came to my house and we were talking price. He than said I need to verify your the owner of the home on this app I have and that he needed to me to sign. So I signed saying I was the owner of the home and a few minutes later I got an email saying a copy of my credit report had been pulled. He was very sneaky with his wording. He had told me the technicians were on the way and I hadn t agreed to that or approved any kind of talk about installing cameras TODAY. I simply wanted a bottom line price and then they all of a sudden were pulling credit and signing me up. I would recommend a more honest company. They pulled my credit without my social security number...

Horrible experience! We were told that as a promo...

Horrible experience! We were told that as a promo house we would get all equipment for free and if we ever moved we could leave the equipment for the new home owners and they would install new equipment are our new house. Well we moved and guess what, it was all lies! They wanted the old equipment back and since we didn't take it they wanted to charge $200 to have new equipment installed, I stopped them there but I assume there would be more ridiculous charges AND our contract would be renewed for another 5 years! It makes absolutely no sense that we would have to renew our contract, we were just trying to transfer our service!! Of course I talked to three different customer service reps and got different answers from each of them. It was also VERY unclear we were going into a 5 year contract when we signed up, some sales guy shows up at your house and you sign contracts over phones where you can't read the fine print. I was shocked to find out we were in this contract and that it would cost $1250 to cancel it! $1250 REALLY DON'T YOU THINK THAT IS EXCESSIVE!!! I finally got so feed up with the lies I paid the $1250 to cancel the contract. Never will I go back or recommend this company to anyone!!! In my opinion it is a very shady way of doing business. Just seems like a money hungry company and I want no part of it!

I'm a new customer with AMP Smart. I'm enjoying the monitoring so far. A day or so after installation, I began to hear a humming noise coming from my doorbell. In an effort to err on the side of caution, I sent an email to customer service to see if a tech could come out. I recvd a phone call from Maddy today to talk about the issue. She was very kind, understanding & helpful. She was able to get a me on the schedule quickly to have a tech on site. I've seen mixed reviews about AMP Smart online, so I didn't really know what to expect but decided to give them a try. So far, the monitoring has been great & so has the customer service. I'm happy with my decision.

This was first time my alarm went off. AMP contacted my family, a neighbor and the police. When I gave my password and turned off my alarm, I thought this would also notify police it was all clear; it did not. Also necessary for me to call police. I did not know their special phone number. Technician very polite and helpful. My sister reported that the phone connection between her and the AMP tech was poor and she almost hung up because she could not understand what the tech was saying. AMP did not have my current cell phone number.

I called for tech support for two problems I was having. James explained the reason for the first issue and suggested a remedy. The second problem took much more time to resolve. This was in large part because I had trouble following his directions. But by texting back and forth photos of my alarm panel innards, I was finally able to resolve the problem. Despite the long time it took and the fact that I disconnected the call, James was patient and professional in his demeanor.

$1850 early termination fee. Will not work with you to lower payments per month without extending the 5 year contact. We got sucked into the door-to-door salesman thing and are paying dearly now. Stay away from them. There are other companies and systems that provide much better features and service for way, way less.

I've read A LOT of negative comments on here just in the time I've been on hold with customer service today, so I'd like to put my two cents in. Four years ago two reps came to my house trying to promote their system. I was about 6 months pregnant at the time and had been having anxiety over home safety (something I'd rarely even given a second thought before then). The reps were kind and agreed to come back later that night after my husband came home from work so that we could make a decision together. That night, after having all of our questions answered, we decided to go with the basic system - door sensors and fire/carbon monoxide detector. Their tech came out and stayed until 10pm installing everything and teaching us how to use it. Let me just say that in the four years we've been using this system, the ONLY problem I've run into is having to replace the battery in one of the door sensors and not knowing how to clear the "tamper" alert from the wall panel. Today the customer service rep was able to fix it over the phone, no problem. Thank you for your part in making my family feel more secure in our home :)

The installation and service have been great. But,...

The installation and service have been great. But, our contract is expiring and we called to discontinue, partly because we are moving. We were told that we were supposed to notify the company within 30 days of the end of the contract or it would automatically be renewed for three years. There s no information about that on the contract. The contract simply states that the contract ends September 2019. The company plans to send our account to collections. We are in contact with our lawyer.
The Better Business Bureau told is there is government action pending and Amp security is non- accredited with the BBB.

If I could give this less stars, I would. Initially we were very pleased with the salesman and tech. We had our system installed 4/10 and decided we not only didn t like the doorbell cam, but that $73.99 a month, in the long term, was just too much for our budget. So my husband called to cancel. He was told that they would note the account that he had called to cancel within the three day trial period and someone would call back within 1-3 days to get it cancelled. Ha! So he insisted on talking to a manager or someone that could cancel right now. He was told there were no managers to speak to and the cancellation department wasn t available. After insisting on speaking to someone and a 20 minute wait, he got to speak with them. They told him they could cancel today but oh, wait his name isn t the main one on the account (even though he set up the account), so they needed to talk to me to cancel. So I call back and there are zero notations in the account that we want to cancel. I m given the same line about 1-3 day call back to cancel. I refuse and asked to speak to cancellation or a manger. The customer service lady, Marissa, places me on a 15 minute hold to see what she can do . I m told no one is available and they will have to call me back before end of business today. 30 minutes later a much nicer person calls back and we are able to get our account cancelled, but the tech can t come remove their equipment until 4 days later. We also found out that they ran our credit. This was NEVER mentioned or asked if it was ok. I would absolutely NEVER recommend this company to any one. Shady practices and straight up lies are abundant at this company.

Alek came to my home and was very professional. He was super knowledgeable and walked me through all of my options with the company, as well as explained the differences between the do it yourself systems that are out there. I got everything installed the same day and I couldn't be happier! I love the fire protection for the two dogs, the doorbell camera and outdoor camera make my life easier since I am working from home. The smart thermostat is really nice and the keyless entry with the smart door lock and garage control are great too! Tanner the technician was very thorough, he did an amazing job installing and answered all of my questions. Alek and Tanner left me with their information and the company information if I have any issues in the future. Good customer service is hard to find these days, so I appreciate that!

Had system installed back in June. Initially I was skeptical because of issues with the doorbell. Fortunately the customer service was great at helping me get thing sorted out. And tech Jon Hughes has done a wonderful job of fixing all issues and answering the questions I ve had. I was especially pleased when he remounted my doorbell, took his time and made it look very professional. He had also been a great help with solving other issues. Would recomend if you live in the Indianapolis area!!!!

I could not be more disappointed or dissatisfied a...

I could not be more disappointed or dissatisfied and I am seeking for a full cancellation and refund. I'd like to see how many of the reviewers have had the system for more than six months? At first, I was very excited and the overall sales presentation and everything seemed state-of-the-art. After installation we had a few connectivity issues which they promptly came out to investigate. That's really when the problems began. After the second attempt of getting the system connected, we've never been able to restore the cameras and doorbell to full working order. This was several months ago. I've even gone so far as to contact my Internet Service Provider to see if the problem is on their end. It is not. We have 225 - 250 Mbps Down / 20 - 25 Mbps Up and all of our other internet-based devices work just fine. As of right now, not a single piece of equipment works as it should (the camera does not connect at all and is unusable, the video-doorbell takes over 90 seconds to connect if at all within the AmpSmart App, and the "Smart" Thermostats need their batteries replaced every two weeks or so. The problem is definitely with Amp Smart's App (at least for the doorbell) because it works perfectly fine with the manufacturer's app but unfortunately it does not connect directly to your Alarm system when you use it that way. All in all, I am done with AMP Smart I do not recommend them under any circumstance.

A representative came to my door and immediately misrepresented himself by telling me his company manufactured the equipment for the alarm company we are currently using. He said we were an "advertising home" and that they wanted to upgrade our equipment for "advertising" purposes and there would be no charge. He left me with a sheet he'd filled out with proposed equipment. The name on the sheet was AMP Security. His T-shirt said Guardian. I called my alarm company and they told me that they had no one out walking the neighborhoods, and that no one from their company would come to my door without them contacting me first. So, it was all a scam. I am steamed! He wanted to come back and talked to my husband, but I texted the guy and told him not to bother, and that I had called my company. He said he didn't mean to misrepresent himself. Uh-huh. Color me skeptical.

I called to cancel my service regarding a defective system. The door bell camera is not capturing images. I questioned why I am paying them money every month on a system that does not work, so I asked a representative to cancel my plan. They told me there was an 1800 dollar cancellation charge, which is ridiculous. I will tell my bank to stop processing charges from AMP and let them send me to collections on this. Their sales team is deceiving, in that there was no mention of what an early cancellation would cost and then the representative suggested I could transfer a defective system to someone else? Are they kidding me?

I called to move my service to my new home. I was on hold for 15 minutes before someone came on the phone to tell me they would have a representative call me shortly. After waiting over an hour I called back only to be told someone would get back with me in a couple days. I was told if I tried to cancel my service I would be charged a fee of $1250 since my contract wasn't expired until April 2020. I can't believe how they treat an existing customer who wants to continue being a customer. At the end of this contract I am switching to ADT.

I spoke with Braxton and my goodness his customer service skills are wonderful, very professional, very nice and very patient. Braxton was ver knowledgeable and helpful and resolved my issue easily. I would not only recommend AMP for the quality of their security systems but for the quality of the CUSTOMER SERVICE...BRAXTON was amazing thank you so much for all your help and knowledge.

These guys are heartless. I just had to spend over $900 to get out of my contract so I can save $55 a month. This after faithfully paying $55 a month for over 3 1/2 years. All of that for monitoring and maybe $200 worth of equipment. Once you sign, and find out they are no different than much cheaper options, you are locked in with no way out. All I got was "you should have read the contract." I trusted my salesman who lied to me about ending the contract. Oh well, I'm wiser now, but it still feels icky thinking about this company.

Below is my experience and some of the thoughts may be conjecture but it is how it feels to the customer.
Knocks on the door. Nice guy, connects well, seems genuine, describes their stuff and asks if i am interested in hearing more. Calls his manager who comes over from another house.

The have and app or a picture of one they pull up with police reports and say they're in the neighborhood because the cops have asked them to serve our neighborhood due to recent events. Doubtful, feels like public information. not private stuff sent to their company to serve our community.

Manager that comes over is nice as well but very sales tactic heavy. you feel it in compliment and attempt at a connection. They say they are in the neighborhood to offer a super special deal to couple of houses so that their signs are already up when the sales team comes in next. the supposed deal is basically all your equipment is free you just pay the installation and monthly payments (which is a lie and I'll get to that). This also sounds like sales trash and as far as me and my neighbors know a sales team never followed up. theres a reason why I'm talking to a sales manager now.

I mention I've been interested in a security system for my family but I'll need to talk to my wife. I'm told there is a 5 day trial and they are already here with their installation team so might as well do it. (the free trial is actually 3 business days and this was a Friday. This felt like a way for them to trick you into being stuck in a contract when you contact them on the fourth business day and are now locked in to a 5 year contract). I say no I need to talk to my wife so I'm going to call her real quick. Before I call Sales man asks me if I want him to talk to her so he can explain it well. No, I want to talk to my wife. "What if we wave the installation fee, can we do it right now?" Fine, I have zero invested other than the first $30 month fee which I should get back if i don't like it in what I believe to be 5 days.

I'm told I'm getting x-thousand dollars worth of equipment for free. My monthly is $x per months and if i sing up for their "loyalty" program that bill will get cut in half after the 5 years. "wait, am I just paying off the equipment over x months?" I'm assured I'm not.

Well for their loyalty program they require your social security number, which they then open a loan in your name through a separate company to finance the equipment. This is the most ridiculous part of all this. I asked many questions and never got a straight answer. The best I got from the Sales guy and from corporate is that "helps cover the entire thing" meaning installation, equipment, everything. It's absolutely shady and completely untruthful

When signing documents, you are doing it on a phone. So the screen is small and you're just pointed to sign, not read through stuff and sign.

As a customer I felt lied to in multiple ways even if it was just "misinterpreted" on my part.
1. the police told use to come knock on your door
2. your getting a special deal and different team will come through later
3. you have 5 days to cancel but thats actually just 3 days and the service doesn't start actually protecting your house til after 7 days
4. NO WE AREN'T GOING TO OPEN A LOAN IN YOUR NAME AND DISGUISE IT AS A LOYALTY PROGRAM. When you cancel, customer service you have to call the loan company separate to end payments.

I felt lied to and that my relationship with my wife was disrespected by the way I was pushed to exclude her from the conversation.

I put two stars. The guys I dealt with were very nice even if I felt my main point of contact dumped me off on customer service as soon as I said i was ending my trial period. The real reason for getting 2 stars is because of they were true to ending the contract within the trial period and my $30 was refunded. Customer service was generally nice and helpful even if I did have to follow up to get a call back.

I am so displeased with how this company chooses to treat their employees, a company has a certain responsibility to treat their employees as humans and I am disgusted with the multiple employees I ve met, telling me how this company treats them nearly as slaves and still expects them to produce. As a potential customer I would NEVER go with this company as they treat the people doing the hard work with absolute disrespect. A key part to running your business outside of NOT manipulating a person with their HOME is, having management that cares about their employees just as much as they care about revenue. Along with giving training, management is a huge part of running a successful company and I think you need to look within because the things going on internally are repulsing.

"Closed for the holidays"...we moved on December 8th. It is now Jan 4th and we have no technician until Jan 15th. Last tech was going to be 2 hours late of the "window" . Still being charged for service though, turns out.
Also to cancel service will cost $1800+.

Unbelievably lousy customer service.

This company will lie and scam you to get the sale!!! Horrible customer service and horrible sales representatives. They claimed to be associated with another security company and I have been informed they are in fact NOT associated with them whatsoever. DO YOUR RESEARCH before even letting these people into your homes. I promise there are much better options out there.

This company has a good product and I seriously love this device but after Mr Deshospital( Joshua) tried to manipulate the sales the pricing of the device he would say one thing like so it's less than a dollar a day but your monthly bill is going to be 60 plus something dollars like Really! I had to cancel because the bill kept coming in my sister name who owned the house at that time. I only had this alarm system for less than 2 months
