Everything is going well with everything from AIM ...

Everything is going well with everything from AIM regarding the service but there seems to be a hit and miss problem with the operating system. I am havng a problem with the arming and disarming of the door lock with the dongle, and my phone. I went out yesterday and the door was locked. When I returned I discovered that the door was unlocked. I have had this happen on several times.

AMP Smart is basically a big scam. The door to door salesman convinced us to give it a trial . He was very pushy and also told us we can t talk about our offer in case they want to sell it to our neighbors at a different price. I find that very shady and I m pretty sure we all got the same price. It s just another way to make you feel like you can t pass up the deal and need to do it immediately! Once we said we would give a trial within 30 minutes he had an installer headed to my house I explain to him it was 9 o clock at night and we had to be up in the morning. Didn t matter to him, the installer came and was at her house until 1130 at night. We gave the alarm a try and decided we didn t feel any safer than we did with the system we have always had. Plus, we didn t feel comfortable going into a 60 month contract and paying $73 a month. The system we have been using has no contract and is 39 a month. We have the same features. So, we decided to cancel. The sales rep came the next day and we told him we wanted to cancel. He wasn t happy. He then told me I had to call the one 800 number to cancel. I called four times and could not get anyone to cancel me. Finally I get someone to cancel me and they informed me that a technician can t come out until a week and a half later. It s funny how the technician to could out in 30 minutes when I wanted the equipment installed. So now I m stuck with no refund until they uninstall. The following day I get up and my garage open/close panel is going blinking and making a loud beeping noise. It was fine until they hooked the equipment up to it. They refused to send anyone out to look at it and asked me to troubleshoot over the phone. They wanted me to climb a ladder and look at the equipment. Sorry but, I am not an equipment expert and are they going to cover my medical bills if I fall or something were to happen? When I refuse to do the ladder they told me that unfortunately I would have to deal with the flashing light and sound until they could get out next week! I asked to speak to a supervisor and she refused to get on the phone. Now, they told me that they would repair any holes left from their equipment. I don t feel too confident they re going to do that on Wednesday. I have consulted a lawyer and I have him on call if there are any issues. I will update my review then. Also- do your research. Half of theses good reviews are from employees! Facebook says now workplace but there are other ways. They are falsely making their reviews better!

I give my highest recommendation for AMP Smart. My experience with representative Angela Greene and technician, Travis, was beyond excellent. She sat with me and guided me through all the aspects of the system. I am technologically challenged, but she patiently explained everything in terms I could understand, let me practice until I got it. She was a fantastic teacher. Travis was a super technician. He was friendly and helpful. He installed everything in a timely and extremely professional manner, cleaned up after his work, and explained how the system worked, and also very patient and clear in his explanations. I could not be happier with my experience.They were both such experts in their jobs. If you are looking for an excellent alarm service, AMP Smart, Angela, and Travis is the company for you!

AMP Smart has been fantastic from beginning to end. We appreciate Calen, the awesome alarm guy, who got us set up with the new system. Everything was explained and installed quickly and efficiently, while working around our schedules. It's been a few weeks since we switched to AMP Smart and Calen has been available to answer any questions and has made sure to check in and ensure we are good with the new system.

Can't believe we went so long without the features offered by AMP Smart.

The worst service ever, I already contacted my attorney and he is looking into it for me, first of all they fraudulently said they were CPI.They used my mother's name without her permission and the equipment is sorry, it's none functional and the technician said he could not fix it and they had the nerve to ask about payment when we have had problems from the day we received it... anybody that's having issues with this fraudulent company let it be known to the BBB they need to know your issues from the day of service... and for those people that the crooks that came to your house with lies the attorney general office will like to hear from you, from my understanding the government is looking into this company,be aware NO MATTER what these people tell you... DON'T Do it, I promise you will regret it.... the reviews you read on here that's good, they are employees or employees family... I was told to contact the Utah's BBB and then continue to send the attorney general office your complaints.I will have class action information up here soon... STAY TUNE!!!!!! Also the BBB in NC will like to know your problems!!!!

I am very satisfied with my new security system. I was very worried the first day I choose the system. Jarrid Gordon was the marketing representative very friendly person. He made me feel very satisfied. We worked some kinks out and that made very happy. When the tech came to install the system he was so friendly his name was Cirq. He was so knowledgeable on the system and even explained it to me a non tech person. Thank you

4-23-18 in Indianapolis a sales rep read both of my no soliciting signs, ignored them, then knocked on my door. I opened and he immediately told me he read the signs but claimed he wasn t soliciting. This company obviously needs to train its employees on simple words like soliciting. It s kind of important for the door to door annoyance they do. I tried to reach the company by chat without success. Apparently 20 minutes of being next in line wasn t good enough. I wouldn t trust any company that sells door to door like this. Beware. Google this business first.

We added cameras and doorbell with camera that you can talk through. The system has been working Great and the installation was done the same day within hours. Jonny took lots of time helping me make a new email and apple account so I could properly view my cameras and use my system remotely. They gave me free equipment in turn for putting a small security sign in our yard I didn't like that they kept the month price to themselves it got my hopes and I was a little disappointed although we still felt like it was worth it. I love the equipment they gave us everything was wireless. This is my first system and I'm not very technology savvy so it's a bit of an adjustment. I didn't like that they didn't set up an appointment for the installation it all happened the same day on a busy day for me but because it happened then they payed for the installation fee. I've been looking for a system and I think this will be a great fit for me and my family. Jonny the rep that set me up was the main reason I went with this company he had a great personality, I felt safe bringing him in to my home and liked that he was a Christian like me in my eyes it made him more trustworthy.

I was able to speak with Matthew in customer service and he worked with me for over an hour to fix the doorbell camera and the panel so they are both working perfectly. Matthew was extremely helpful and wanted to make sure all my issues were fixed.

My previous views on this company were very negati...

My previous views on this company were very negative. However, after speaking with Jason of costumer service, my opinion of this company has turned a complete 180 degrees. Jason and his team read my review and contacted me 2 days later. After listening to my experience with the company and the sales representative, Jason worked to make a fair compromise for me as well as keeping his company's interest in mind. Jason's fidelity to constumer service is unwavering and this company is luck to have him. It is because of Jason and his team that I am choosing to stay with AMP Security! The excellent system as well as employees that work to make things right are what make companies like this a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this company!

Originally I was not happy with the level of service when compared to the price. Ok service if it was in the budget price point but it is not. paying a premium for budget service. Will go with a local service next round.

UPDATE: I spent time talking to corporate and they worked out a plan to address my concerns. At the end of the day, they did what it took to ensure that I was satisfied. Ultimately, they sent a technician back to the house to adjust the system and made changes in my plan to support my needs. They are focused on long-term customer support.

Worst company ever!!!! Put in the system and nothing worked from the get go. Cancelled service and had it scheduled to be removed. Wait 4 hours and they don t show up. Call and they say oh it is for our time zone and not yours. That would have been nice to know! Do not use them.

I wish I can give them less stars. The sales rep were great and so are con artists. After we installed the system, the sensors kept falling off. We asked for them to fix it and they just mailed us new stickers (which is the same as the defective stickers). Honestly we just wanted to cancel at that point and was told that it would cost $1000 just to cancel. I would not recommend this company. Go to BBB to get the real reviews on this product

Also I was surprised to receive a call because when I called about the issue a while back I was advised that I would most likely need to have a technician come out to correct the issue with a minimum charge of $35. The sales representative and technicians both went the extra mile and exceeded our expectations. We had looked into home automation before and was out of our price range but AMP made it very affordable for us to install this awesome system in our home.

I contacted AMP Security and the Representative, Zach assisted me. He was very patient and courteous on the phone. He reset my system for me and offered to assist with any other questions that I had.

I'm revising this review. After actually owning this security system I can honestly say it sucks. The system rarely works and they always want to charge for a tech to come out even though the problems are due to faulty equipment. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE!!!

I have never owned a security system before, but after speaking to my sales person Raymond Chan, I was convinced this system was for me. The system is run through 2 way celluar for a faster response time in case of emergency. The system can be armed and disarmed with our smart phones using Total Connect 2.0. AMP Security is definitely something I would recommend to my friends and family.

I was hesitant to get a whole-home security system...

I was hesitant to get a whole-home security system because I worried about how intrusive the installation would be and I didn't want to deal with the hassle of having to rush into my house and disarm the system every time I got home. I like that AMP Smart allows you to control your system from your phone or through Amazon Alexa. Also, the installation for the entire system took around an hour and didn't require near as much work as I imagined. And Clint, the representative that sold us our system, not only took the time to explain all of the features of our system, but came back a few days after installation to make sure we didn't have any further questions. Most importantly, before recommending any particular features of the system, Clint took the time to find out what was most important to us to in order to customize the system to our needs and wants. We got exactly the features we wanted and none of the ones that we didn't and it's all easy to operate. I would recommend AMP Smart to anyone looking for a new security system or wanting to update a current one.

We are just beginning to find all the benefits this system does and will do yo protect our famliy and home. We had spoke with Clint on two different occasions and he was very professional and engaging. He was able to share his knowledge of the company with us and the equipment he would recommend for our home. We discussed additional options that we could add in the future. We researched all we could and concluded that what he was offering in safety would amazing outway the monthly fee. John was our installer and he being new took a little additional time to install the system. But he did get it done with in 2 hours. He explained the board and how it worked. We were amazed at the quality of video and the range of what we could see from the Door bell camera and the monitoring camera. We have only had it less than a day and so far we are loving the options it gives us. Clint stopped back by today to make sure we did not any other questions and we will keep in touch if we do. You should be ashamed of your door to door salesmen! Multiple people have said they are going door to door WITHOUT a mask in a pandemic.

They harassed us for three days and we did not want to open the door to someone who doesn't have a mask on. We had enough of him coming multiple times everyday. When we kindly declined and the representative KEYED our car!!!!!!!!

I should've called the police but I only noticed after he was down the street. Disgusting behavior and they better not show up at our house again!

You get a 3 day trail period but when I called to cancel they said someone had to call me back within in the next few days and I asked to get transferred to the cancellation department and they said they are not in yet. I asked when they would be in and he said they don t have a direct number. You have to sign a 60 month contract. Don t sign anything until you have read the whole contract.

I was so surprised at the friendliness, courtesy, respectfulness, knowledgeability, just your hometown feeling that you do NOT find in today s world. Was a refreshing experience w/these folks! I would recommend n advise anyone looking for this type of service to give them a call. They ARE ABOVE n BEYOND the call of duty. I can say that~I m a veteran. Had amp security installed less than 1 year ago. Skybell isn't working, called to get a tech sent out...it's going to take a month for them to come out. How ridiculous is that?! The tech department needs more appointment times for people who work 9-5pm aa well and weekend options. How is a tech department only going to have M-F 9-5pm options when most people work until 5pm??!! TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!!

THE SALESMAN, JEROMY, EXPLAINED THE SYSTEM COMPLETELY AND WAS VERY THOROUGH DESCRIBING THE NEW FEATURES THAT WERE OFFERED.
ROBERT WAS THE INSTALLER AND HAD ME UP AND RUNNING IN NO TIME. HE EVEN CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS WORKING PROPERLY. AS I SAID BEFORE "AMP IS THE BEST."

While I am sure the young sales man who just stopped by our home was very nice etc I am so tired of these sales guys not dropping the pitch when you aren t interested or when you tell them no decision would be made without talking to a spouse. I made the mistake of letting him into my house to look at a back door so he could tell me about their door security. He then proceeded to sit down at my dining room table and then told me to take a seat more then once because I didn t. At this point I was annoyed. After giving me his free spill of stuff from the company I told him we probably weren t really interested and that free or not no decision would be made without my spouse. He then started to get information to make sure our house was able to do free marketing etc and by the time he was asking for my birthdate after my name and address I was done. I don t think a company selling home security should make you feel uncomfortable in your own home and asking for information I don t just give to some random stranger. No sales person should ever ask to enter your home and then just make themselves at home at sit at your table with no invitation to do so. Our no soliciting sign will be going up ASAP.

Sales guy is great and very charming but that's it. We have had the system for 4 months now. the alarm was set off within the first week and scared us all awake. The sensors keep falling off the doors, the doorbell sounds like a fire hazard in itself waiting to happen. Customer service only offered to replace 1 sensor when I mentioned that a second one fell off but u was able to put it back on. I am paying a $60 monthly fee and they still wanted to charge me 35 dollars to have something fixed that was faulty.

I am in love with my new AMP security system. The technology is top notch, and super user friendly. My mom even learned how to use it with minimum guidance!!! The ease of connectivity with the police and fire and medical are just what I was looking for. And the price was fantastic! Angela was amazing and showed me little tricks that I didn t learn on my own. This is one of the best investments I have made since buying my house. Thank you.

After seeing how the AMP security system work, for me it was a no brainer. I have complete control of my home safety in the palm of my hand. Whether at home or away, I have peace of mind. Calen was not pushy, and working with him was a real pleasure. Any technical assistance needed, Calen is only text away and the price is very reasonable!!

Update 9/5/2019: Spoke with Amp and they have taken steps to resolve my issue. They assured me they are taking steps to improve communication with their service department and apologized. I felt the head of service was sincere and wanted me to have a better experience than I had.

[Original Complaint]

My personal issues with Amp are ongoing. It started with a misleading sales pitch, continued with a sales guy using my name to push systems on my neighbors... after I told him he couldn't, and culminated in a move that left me without any decent security option moving forward. I've spoken with their support at least a half dozen times and now that I've made my complaint public, they say they've tried to help, but it's to save face. The bottom line is this: I've been paying for monitoring for 2 years without any equipment and I still have 10 months to go. That is the average contract with another security company. After 2 years of Amp service my wife and I moved and we didn't have access to remove our system. The sales guy had told us moving was simple and Amp would install a new system when and if we moved. Amp was willing to sell us a new system using a convoluted points system to add sensors. They offered me some kit with x number of points and each sensor had a different phony point value. Needless to say if was going to be expensive but that wasn't even the bad part. The kicker was they would only sell me a system if I signed a new 60 month contract. My only other option was a $1250 cancellation fee. I offered to obtain the appropriate hardware and resume my current contract but I was told it was not an option. So now Amp keeps telling me they have been "more than fair" with the options they've presented me. My unwillingness to sign a new 5 year contract has left me paying for a service I no longer have. Whenever you call their customer service all you will ever hear is, "but you signed the contract.". It doesn't matter what your experience is, they will never waiver from that contract. That is probably the best warning I can give.

Have called numerous times trying to cancel this service, have asked them to update my number the last few times I have called. They tell me they call my old number that they only have one person who processes cancellations. Today I call back they say I now have to hand write a letter and send it to them in order to have this service cancelled. If you think about getting this service do yourself a favor don t. Had 3 different occasions that I had stuff stollen right in front of the cameras but never caught 1 thing. Door bell never worked it rang outside. Told me that s the only way they could do it after being promised by the sales rep they would make sure my door bell was working. I could go on and on worst customer service I have encountered in fact I have referred 2 other individuals and they let me know about it every day I don t recommend these people to anyone.

Terry Martin came to my house last night and I m so glad he did. But what really impressed me is that he is back today with the technician Blake Ulrickson. Our representative, Gustavo, is very friendly, accessible, and respectful. You can tell he cares about his clients and not just selling alarm systems. When we had trouble understanding the app and with a smoke detector he helped sort out the problems fast. When I had a connectivity issue with the doorbell camera which was taking days to resolve and a run around with calls I finally ended up in a call with Jordan and he promised to stay on the line to help with what he could. He proved to be patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. When my call disconnected he called right back and in minutes he helped me troubleshoot a problem I d had for days. As someone who works in guest services I value their level of interest in our concerns and problem resolution. I would recommend AMP to others based on this alone but they also have a well organized app going for them as well as their alarm panel including a duress code. My sales agent LJ was very knowledgeable about the product he was selling. He was also very helpful during the entire installation process and personally made sure everything worked correctly and was installed to my liking. Since having my system, I feel my family is more secure. Also, the doorbell camera is amazing! You can talk to visitors at your front door through your smart phone and also see who is on your porch. This camera will also record motion! I'm very happy with my decision to go with AMP Smart!
